After Hiraku dies of a serious illness, God brings him back to life, gives his health and youth back, and sends him to a fantasy world of his choice. In order to enjoy his second shot, God bestows upon him the almighty farming tool! Watch as Hiraku digs, chops, and ploughs in another world in this laidback farming fantasy.
This was not good. It wasn’t bad per se but I’m not a fan of the rape vibes. It’s supposed to come across funny that this humble guy has all these women wanting to procreate with him but really they were assaulting him??? Gross
Really cute slice of life. It is a novel turned manga and they did a good job overall with the adaptation. There are a few hiccups here and there and you wonder how they went from x to z, but it works. I'm looking forward to the next one.
I had read some of this online before, and while some of it is cute...it's a bit see-spot-run and nobody has much of a personality. Honestly my favorite character is Zabuton the adorable giant spider.
Finally was able to read the series. I found the anime first and then decided to find the manga. I can definitely see the difference between the manga and anime. Love the characters and the story.
Your standard overworked office worker dies and gets isekai'd to an escapist fantasy world. In this case, the protagonist wishes for a healthy body and to do agriculture. He starts building a homestead with a divine any-farming-hand-implement omnitool and raising animals (of the wolf and spider variety, they don't get eaten). Suddenly a harem of fantasy waifus appears.
It's a pretty tension-free, wish-fulfillment, but there's a simplicity to the writing that makes the narration almost seem like your reading someone's social updates. It feels like an ecchi premise that they made "cute" by covering the lewds with simplicity, implication, and fade-to-blacks. I didn't even realize that the protagonist was sleeping with the other female characters until a troupe of elves show up to treat him like a stud. It's all pretty standard, but the sillyish tone and (relative) lack of fanservice or any kind of romantic/sexual tension keeps it from being cringey.
I'm reading it for free, so the main standard I have is it being amusing and inoffensive.
It’s really boring - the writing is poor, and the art is mediocre. It’s all tell, not show. Everything comes easily, he has a magic tool that becomes whatever he wants, and fells trees, digs holes, grows anything he wants, kills things, makes firewood, you name it, the tool can do it. Naturally he has no ill effects thanks to an inadvertent side benefit to the health buff the god gave him.
The canines are endlessly multiplying, so are the spiders. Spiders can conveniently make clothes…and to deal with sewage, we have slimes. A random naked vampire chick shows up and out of nowhere it’s implied that he’s very demanding in bed, because when another big busted, scantily clad woman shows up, she basically forces her to stay because she can’t keep up…then they recruit a whole group of elven women, talk of procreating and aggressive behavior starts, and then he’s just got a harem. More elven women have shown up….its just ridiculous.

Because the MC was always sick and suffering during his previous life, it made the god apologize and say the god also made a mistake, then resurrected Machio Hiraku according to the wishes of the Prontagonist, the MC was eager to farm and then was awarded an omniscient agricultural tool.
A character who starts building everything completely from scratch, then is transported to a forest that seems far from civilization and dangerous. Here, he plans to build and farm everything from scratch - gradually developing the lifeless area into a thriving new society is fun, although the fan service is predominantly female because the MC aspires to be an idol who farms, but there is no sexuality and the ecchi is safe enough for me who hates ecchi series.
Anyway I'm getting sick of Isekai series, like I'm going to read and watch until I'm sick of it.
Unfortunately this really wasn't for me. I've read better slice of life manga. This one jumped around so much, seemed to skip a lot of stuff, and the sparse dialogue meant very little characterization. Everything was too perfect - a body that never gets sick or tired, a tool that will never wear you down using it, just thinking of crops suddenly makes them appear from nothing, building a house can take only hours, etc etc etc. ugh. I'm also not a huge fan of the literal storytelling "then this happened, then this happened, then this happened" over and over and over again. I can't tell if the main character wants the amorous attentions of his vastly growing harem or not, but it makes for slightly awkward reading.
I will say the artwork is nice and the story overall is a fine little slice of life, but that's about all I can say.
I’m really missing with these manga, lately. This is so insubstantial. Everything happens very easily with little to no struggle. Everything is TOLD. This is prime example of “telling” vs showing. I know it’s a manga, but there are seriously well-written ones out there and this… this was the complete opposite end of the spectrum. The women are 1000% written and drawn for the male-gaze. The vampire named Ru even starts off as a naked child with the MC calling her a beauty?? And when she drinks his blood, she becomes a curvy high schooler, even though he’s a full grown middle aged man??? It’s gross. Manga is easy to finish, but I really, really dislike this one, so no more for me. It’s also upsetting, because it could’ve been enjoyable, since this is all about farmlife and learning how to live off the land. But it’s paced at the speed of light and nothing is challenging. I hate it.
This was a cute little manga that felt very much like a farming sim or any other cozy fantasy game. I know this is the first book, but I just wish that more things happened, there seemed to be a very tedious daily life "adventure" which wasn't all that gripping at times.
It also seemed to be a little disjointed in how some of the characters came to be part of this up and coming town. This was gifted to me, so maybe some of the lack of interest in this story was from me not picking it out myself. I'm hoping that the rest of the books pick up a little more, but it is a read I feel like would do well in the fall/winter time for the vibes.
I bought the kindle book after watching the first 5 episodes of the Anime on HIDIVE. This first book covers about the first 5 anime episodes and surprisingly the anime follows the manga pretty closely. I found the manga (and Anime) quite enjoyable. I don’t mind that the main character is a bit overpowered since it is in a rather unique way through his farming tool. The fact he seems a bit oblivious to the amazing things he accomplishes makes it quite humorous. Anyone who enjoys farming or town building games might enjoy this.
Very basic, step by step account of building a Minecraft-adjacent base, complete with a house, garden, defensive wall/moat, welcoming pets, etc. There is some sexiness to the companions he somehow accumulates, but there is no real narrative or development here, just expanding the base and set of pets/characters as time goes on. There is a hint at a larger background story involving the dog or demon who sent the protagonist here, but nothing is really developed in this volume. The art is decent but there is very little to recommend as a story here.
A nice lively story of a man given a new life in a different world
A man dies after a hard life and is given a new life in a new world. He is given some special skills and abilities to have an easier life but because he asked for simple things the one in charge of helping him overdid it with amusing results. This is his story.
I’m weak to chill isekais like this. I’ve read the manga online, so I’m quite a bit ahead of this volume, but it feels so nice to finally be able to add this to my shelf!
If you like chill, more slice of life isekai then this is a good one for you. It still has all the comforting tropes, but done in a way that’s not too cringe worthy.
I came across mention of this story somewhere - in an online discussion about anime, perhaps? - and read some 30 chapters of it online. A standard enough Isekai story with an overpowered protagonist and a bunch of impossibly beautiful females. Pleasant enough if you're into that sort of thing, but it got old pretty fast.
