Krewe Special Agent Jon Dickson and Kylie Connolly met under tough circumstances, but despite that, they discovered it seemed they were meant to be.
Now, moved into a condo in the D.C. area—easy shots for Jon getting to the Krewe offices and Kylie getting to Adam Harrison’s newly founded museum—they’re about to spend their first Thanksgiving together alone, sorry they won’t be with family, but happy to be together.
But an old friend from the academy calls Jon. He and his bride have just bought an historic house in Plymouth, Mass, but odd things are happening.
There’s a killer on the loose, and the old house abounds with ghost stories and the truth of what is happening must be discovered if Evan and Julie are going to stay in the dream home into which they had just invested all they had. Thanksgiving is just a day away . . .
Jon doubts anything can be solved so quickly, even when he’s given special assistance from the dead.
But the first Thanksgiving did take place in Plymouth . . .
And they just might make discoveries that allow them to see just how very thankful they are.

He works for the FBI and his girlfriend has a job at the museum. They are getting ready for Thanksgiving when they are invited to Plymouth, Massachusetts. People are disappearing and turning up dead. They are in the house when the FBI agent sees 👀 movement. He rushes out and catches a man 🚹 who turns out too be a killer. I would recommend this novella and author to 👍 readers looking for a quick interesting read. 2023 😀👒😡😮
First, let me say that I like Heather Graham’s mysteries. In other of her books, I found them to be intriguing & suspenseful.
Unfortunately I didn’t find this to be the case with this book. While short, I believe this accomplished author could have developed a much more intriguing plot.
Instead she took time to include the mantra of mask wearing & “testing”. I submit, the comments on these two issues would have been better spent in further developing the suspense of the story.
Jon and Kylie are back for a quick read that focuses on another FBI friend and a historic home in Plymouth during Thanksgiving. People ar missing and odd things are happening at a historic home. Jon and Kylie go to help and solve a case while also learning about and focusing on thanksgiving and all the blessings they have. It is a quick and cute read!
I just love reading the Krewe of Hunters series. This is a short story about Thanksgiving. Evan and Julie have recently married and bought a home in Plymouth Massachusetts. Julie freaks when her turkey was moved on the counter. Strange things have been happening in and around Boston, which is less than a hour away. Evan decides to call his friend and coworker, Jon to come for Thanksgiving and check this out for them. Jon arrives with Kylie, by that night Here we go again, of course there is a ghost and the Krewe of Hunters are on the case.
Krewe of Hunters agent, Jon Dickson, and his fiancee, Kylie Connolly, are called to a friend's house just before Thanksgiving because of odd things happening. There's also a killer on the loose and people missing.
This is a short story that features a Krewe agent and it was a fantastic read. This quick, enticing story was well-written with wonderful characters. I was pulled in from the start and kept hooked until the end. I highly recommend this book and the series.
This short was a great short story. A great turkey story. And ghosts. You do not need anything more. Heather Graham is a great story writer. I have read over 200 of her books and loved everyone. I highly recommend all her books and every series she writes. Diana Romano
Very interesting. Loved the story line. Nice characters and a sweet ending. The Krewe of Hunters series is my most favorite ghostly series. It's the first ghostly mysteries I cut my teeth on (so to speak). I'm all caught up on the short and full length mysteries now and am anxiously awaiting the next full length trilogy.
Heather Graham tells the best ghost stories, and this is one of them! If you haven’t read her books, you are missing out. Some of the best paranormal stories ever.
A newlywed is convinced that something very strange is happening in her new home. Her FBI husband asks a Krew member to come. Jon & Kylie arrive and things unfold rapidly. They all have much to be thankful for at the end.
Graham has a way of telling a story! I love her Krewe of Hunter series and these short stories short of let you see them in a different light. Maybe those bumps in the night is someone just saying hi.
Cute, short story. Rolled my eyes a little at all the descriptions of people wearing masks in their own home and sitting six feet apart at dinner and all the discussions about Covid testing but otherwise enjoyable.
Love anything paranormal that is not fantastical. Normal every day people that strange phenomenon happens. Enjoy how the characters are FBI and able to help in todays world through their gifts. CJ
To short! I wanted to know more about both couples. I enjoy mystery stories, and ghost stories. I have read many of Heather Graham books and enjoyed them all.
It was great to have another couple front and center for these short stories, I really enjoyed having Jon and Kylie and this Thanksgiving mystery! Yet another great read!
