Trend Following Mindset is an excellent read (for those who like this investment methodology or not). The book is a series of interviews between Michael Covel and Tom Basso. My highlights:
(1) Importance of a good mental state for good long-term returns;
(2) Debate about when to change/abandon investment models (very little about this in the literature) and;
(3) Analysis (Tom Basso) with the conclusion that 62% of the time markets are "sideways", 29% of the time "bull" and 9% "bear" markets. In this sense, we must align our expectations / models with these characteristics.

Tom Basso is exemplary among trend followers. His thoughtfulness, coherence, and willingness to share his experience is something all should aspire to.
I would criticise that collecting podcast recordings together and calling it a book is a little disingenuous... Tom's published papers/internal research were an excellent addition, but I would still feel a little short-changed if you expected this to be entirely new material. Especially if (like muggins here) you have already heard the podcasts... But the lessons are worth repeating, so it's hard to be too cross.
