Sebastian Prescott once had it all. A promising career as an Olympic-bound snowboarder, money, youth, and a bright future. But after a devastating knee injury, everything came off the rails for Sebastian, sending him on a ten year downward spiral capped off by losing his job. And Sebastian places the blame for getting fired entirely on the shoulders of Kayla Bristowe, the woman who'd been working directly under him—and the subject of his fantasies—for the past three years.

So when a corporate retreat brings Kayla face to face with Sebastian, who's now working as a snowboarding instructor at the resort hosting the retreat, to say she's shocked to see him is an understatement. His anger over what happened is palpable. So is the chemistry still sizzling between them. Chemistry that Kayla tries desperately to ignore because she's on the hunt for Mr. Perfect. And while Sebastian is a lot of things—sexy, arrogant, and a walking train wreck come to mind—her ex-boss is most definitely not Mr. Perfect.

But mother nature has other plans, and Kayla and Sebastian end up snowed in together with only one bed. Alone with Kayla, Sebastian's fantasies come roaring back to life, despite the lingering animosity between them. But she's no longer off limits because he's not her boss anymore. At least, not out of bed...

Should have tapped out long before then but had hope for some character's growth or at least some magic romance/chemistry pull. None of this here.
Juvenile male lead, not to say stupid. Are we expected to believe these characters are close to their thirties?
Heroine went from "he's not worth a second of my attention" to "I have feelings for you" in half a night. Prior to which the hero had been doing his best to have her fired by pulling childish pranks to make her look bad in front of her boss out of some twisted revenge plot. YIKES.
This was the saddest attempt at enemies to lovers I've ever read.

I had very much enjoyed the first in the series, hopefully next books in the series are better than this second one.

4.5 stars - Holy macaroni! Before I delve into the rest of the book, I just have to say that the role play scene is SCORCHING 🔥HOT🔥! So hot that I had to add a half star to the rating.

Sebastian and Kayla have been full to the brim with chemistry for some time but it was always shrouded in a thick layer of animosity on her part and a fear of the boss-employee, possible sexual harassment perception on his part. Plus, his he was a mess. His entire life was a mess. Then the dynamics were flipped upside down and thrown sideways.

When he's not acting like a petulant two year-old, Sebastian's tenderness and caring shine through. I like how they open up and acknowledge their strengths and weaknesses. I also like the no holds barred release of their passion. Things may be bumpy ahead (they experience an extreme example of that) but they have laid the groundwork to successfully navigate it... even if Bastian needs to take some time to get over himself.

I am curious about where the toys landed and what's next for these two as they clear some landmines. The epilogue can't come soon enough! I'm also looking forward to Max and Willa's story.

If you're wondering, you can read this as a stand-alone but the characters overlap so updates on the couple from the prior book is included. Reading from book 1 is recommended but not required. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

My thanks to NetGalley and Tara Wyatt for an eARC copy of this book to read and review.

This was a DNF at 24%. I just couldn't with the MC H. Also, I understand that lust/chemical attraction has to be there so the romance and love can develop, but it was TOO enemies to lovers for me to really believe.

However, I REALLY liked the roomie of the MC h and her book is next, so I am planning to read it soon, as the writing is solid, I just didn't like the MC H AT ALL. I am sure there is a redemption arc and that he is damaged and that he gets better and grows, but I read to escape reality and don't want to have to go through a boy-child Peter Pan going through his growing pains.

Not bad, written well, and the secondary characters grabbed me, so more than willing to continue the series. If you like enemies to lovers, and a redemption arc, then this book is very likely one you will enjoy and I recommend it.

2, it's not the book it's definitely me, stars.

Panty. Incinerating. Goodness.

Snow Job is an enemies to lovers, forced proximity, only one bed, dirty-talk for days, romance! Sebastian is a man whose life has spiraled out of control and losing his job is the final piece to fall apart. He is struggling with addictions and he has finally hit his rock bottom. Kayla is the team member who reported his poor performance at work and eventually got his job. Let the HATRED begin!

Now, these two are thrown together on a winter retreat and the sparks fly, the pranks begin, and the sizzle is REAL. These two are both wonderfully complex characters that are flawed, but immensely likable. And when they finally cave to their attraction you will need to beware of your kindle melting from the heat.

This is a great story of redemption, life choices, and second chances...with some epically hot sex.

RATING:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
STEAM LEVEL: Rated NC-17
TRIGGERS:Addiction, emotionally abusive parent, home invasion, workplace inequality

DNF @ 30%

I really wanted to like SNOW JOB but unfortunately I couldn’t finish this one because of Sebastian’s behavior which made it really hard for me to root for him winning over Kayla. In a nutshell, Kayla used to work under Sebastian but a downward spiral of drinking, gambling, and fighting meant that Kayla was often picking up the slack and doing Sebastian’s job in addition to her own. When she brings this to the higher ups, they (rightfully) fire Sebastian and ever since he’s blamed Kayla.

Several months later Sebastian is turning his life around and working as a ski instructor at a resort and who should show up but his old company who is having their corporate retreat at the resort. Kayla is now working in Sebastian’s old job and her misogynistic boss has tasked her with planning the whole retreat even though it’s not her job. The boss doesn’t want Sebastian involved in the retreat activities and insists that Kayla talk to the resort, which she reluctantly does. Sebastian overhears this and believes that Kayla is trying to get him fired from another job. So begins Sebastian’s revenge plan to ruin the retreat so Kayla takes the blame and gets fired. He messes up the itinerary so everyone ends up in the wrong spot and upset and he plans to switch out the raffle prizes with sex toys.

I’m not sure if the author was going for some light-hearted shenanigans but I didn’t find it funny and I just can’t get behind a hero that tries to get his love interest fired from a job that she’s worked so hard to get, especially when she’s already undervalued by her obnoxious boss and her assistant. And not only is he trying to ruin Kayla’s job but he’s also risking getting the resort in trouble after his boss defended him and went out on a limb to give him a job. I’m sure there’s some redemption for Sebastian but for me this was a deal breaker.

A very dirty fairytale indeed!!!

4.5 stars!!!
This is my third book i have read of Tara Wyatt, and my love for the Prescott family - Aerin, Theo, and now Sebastian - keeps growing and growing!!!
This is the story of Sebastian and Kayla, former colleagues who happened to meet again three months after he was fired from the company. Sebastian who had a "messy" life and was trying to turn a new page in his life, and Kayla who was trying to accomplish her Perfect Life Plan.
To say that - at the beginning - the reunion between the two of them was a sh*t show would be putting it lightly (Sebastian blamed Kayla for getting fired). Nevertheless, after being forced to stay together as a result of a snow storm, the heat comes on!!! Let's just say that while outside a blazing storm was underway, inside the temperature rose to dangerously high levels! Will Sebastian manage to win over his demons? And will Kayla manage to get her Perfect Life Plan?
This was a fast-paced romance that was low in angst but high in steam! Kayla was a sweetheart throughout the book, but Sebastian was not at the beginning. He came out as an immature guy, blaming everyone for his life failures and trying to mess up Kayla's job, BUT... ughhh he became my favourite Prescott once he opened up about his challenging past (is it because i am a psychologist that i am drawn mostly to damaged characters? 😂). And the sex scenes were HOT, HOT, HOT (i expected this as i have already read other books from the author, but she keeps surprising me with how STEAMY the sex scenes can get from book to book [the fantasy scene was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥])!
I loved the book and definitely recommend it! My 4.5 stars (and not five) come mainly because the peak scene towards the end of the book came without any foreshadowing at all (and usually i would have liked some signs here and there that would add to some mild suspense to the story); and i would have wanted to read the Epilogue to the story without having to subscribe to a newsletter. This has become a trend lately, and even though i understand the reason behind it, i don't really like being "forced" to subscribe to a newsletter just so i can get the proper ending to a story! This is by no means a criticism to the author whom i came to really enjoy all her books i have read, but an overall criticism to this new subscribe-to-read-the-epilogue thing!
With that being said, kudos to the author, an amazing sexy and steamy story (my favourite so far), and looking forward to the Max/Willa story that comes next!!!

3 - "Whatever this is… I’m in." Stars.

We return to The Prescott’s series, with book two; Snow Job giving us adrenalin junkie Sebastian Prescott’s story. He may love the thrill but lately his methods of achieving it have left a lot to be desired. Out of a job and out of a place to live, he goes back to doing what he loves, and takes a position as an instructor at Blizzard Ridge Ski Resort.

His lust for her still burned just as hot as it had when they’d worked together…

The last person he wants to see is the woman who he thinks is responsible for him losing his job; Kayla Bristowe, at the resort with the rest of his colleagues for a corporate retreat. Neither of them thinks much of the other and what initially starts out as a plan to exact revenge for perceived wrongs on Bastian’s part morphs into something completely different when the chemistry between them combusts after being forced into close proximity with each other due to an unexpected snowstorm.

"I don’t know you, but I’m starting to think that I want to…"

I didn’t love or hate this one, I struggled to like either of them in the first half but they grew on me once they acted on their attraction, no doubt that Tara writes sexy times well, but I found myself rolling my eyes a little this time because certain aspects came over as a little cheesy to me, although that’s more about personal preference than anything to do with the writing.

You can’t win them all at the end of the day, and that was the case for me in this instance, I am however itching to get my hands on Max’s book; Love Bug which is due in April, and the elusive Lucien who will hopefully have his story told in summer.

Kayla used to work under Sebastian for 3-years until Sebastian’s self-destructive behavior of drinking & gambling got him fired. Sebastian left NYC and became a snowboarding instructor at a resort in Vermont to get his life together, but he blamed Kayla for losing his job.

Now several months after Sebastian loses his job, the company he used to work for is at his resort for a work retreat. Kayla’s boss made her head of planning the retreat, even though isn’t in her job description. She’s not happy about planning the retreat and even more unhappy about seeing Sebastian again.

Her boss doesn’t want Sebastian being the instructor for the employees, so when Kayla tells Sebastian’s boss this, Sebastian thinks Kayla is trying to get him fired from yet another job. And so he decides to try and sabotage the retreat, making Kayla look bad to her boss in return.

But when a snow storm traps Kayla and Sebastian in a cabin together, things change between them. It may be freezing outside, but things get beyond toasty in that cabin...

Snow Job by Tara Wyatt is book 2 in The Prescotts series. I didn’t read book 1, but this could definitely be read as a stand-alone. This was a quick and very steamy read. Even though there wasn’t much buildup to Kayla and Sebastian’s romance, their sexual chemistry was fire and their steamy scenes were through the roof hot. The rest of the book was just alright for me, especially the drama toward the end. I especially liked the first part of the book (the retreat portion). After that ended it was mostly just them together as a couple and an out-of-left-field conflict. I still enjoyed my time reading this one so I may continue with the series to read Max & Willa’s romance! 3/5 stars.

Thanks NetGalley & Tara Wyatt for my review copy.

Tara Wyatt’s Snow Job uses the forced proximity trope to maximum effect in this steamy, quickly-paced story.

Kayla Bristowe has a list of things she’d like to accomplish in life, all of which she’s achieved, except finding a man that ticks all of her boxes. Which is why her former boss, Sebastian Prescott, is such an unwanted distraction. He’s chaotic and messy and exactly what she doesn’t need… even though she might want him physically, just a little bit. Sebastian’s life was a mess when Kayla came into it, but he’s slowly starting to get his act together. But when Kayla and Sebastian are thrown back together in the most unpredictable of circumstances, feelings will rise to the surface, and they’ll both discover just how fine the line is between love and hate.

First off, though this can be read as a standalone, I’d highly recommend reading the first book in the series, Stupid Love first. There’s some great peripheral interactions between Kayla and Sebastian that really set the stage for this book. Second, this book moves at a fast clip. There’s not a lot of angst, because the characters don’t have a ton of downtime to wade in their struggles. For me, this was a good thing, as I was able to one-hand read this like it was my job.

Tight exposition aside, there are a plethora of steamy scenes that add to the overall fun of the story. There’s also some good groundwork set for the next book in the series, Love Bug that has me wholly invested. (I’m also still anxiously pining for eldest brother Lucian’s book, but I have a feeling Wyatt is saving the best for last.)

It’s a fun, escapist read with a snowstorm, a cabin, and only one bed, with all of the hijinks that then ensure. And I’m completely here for all of it.

Thanks to the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

3.5 stars.
An emotional read with a fascinating, tortured hero, “Snow Job”, by Tara Wyatt, takes place in a beautiful snow landscape in Vermont, wonderfully portrayed by the author.
Sebastian is an anti-hero, as handsome and attractive as he is a conflicted mess, often caught in embarrassing, humiliating situations (the riveting opening scene is an example).
I loved the way Tara Wyatt wrote this unusual hero and his debilitating issues, the sheer despair and hopelessness of the self-destructive tendencies. That Sebastian is also so compelling, now a charming snowboarding instructor, makes him an alluring male.
I found the setting – Green Mountains, Vermont – so appropriate for Sebastian’s healing journey, and I loved how the snowy landscapes were such an important dimension of the story, too.
Kayla is a great heroine, too, strong, genuine and tender.
Overall, I found this fluid, very enjoyable and emotional, but there were parts I didn’t enjoy that much: the long sex scenes, Sebastian’s pranks and the occasional cheesiness.

Such a great enemies-to-lovers book! I've been waiting to read Sebastian's story. His life has been in kind of a down whirl spiral. When he is fired from his job, it seems he has finally hit rock bottom. He blames Kayla. Kayla is also someone he was very attracted to but never acted on those feelings because he was her boss. So when they run into each other at a ski resort, where Sebastian is a ski instructor, things heat up.

I have to admit, I wasn't a huge fan of Kayla at the beginning of this book. I'm not sure what it was about her, but she rubbed me the wrong way. But once Sebastian and her talk through some things, I started to soften to her a little. By the end, I was a fan of Kayla.

Tara Wyatt sure knows how to write some great chemistry between characters! Great book! Can't wait to read the next one!

Thank you NetGalley and Tara Wyatt for gifting me an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
.
One word.
Six Letters.
STEAMY.
This book took me completely by surprise! I did not expect the white hot chemistry or the witty banter. I blew through this one, the pace quick and the story easy to fall into. This enemies to lovers/workplace/forced proximity romance was the perfect read after my last, bland book. I went from reading a romance where they only ever kissed to.. This. Needless to say I was left fanning my cheeks a few times. Whew! Tara Wyatt does NOT shy away from those open door bedroom scenes.
.
Sebastian Prescott is a mess. He lost his chance to compete in the winter olympics, he lost his apartment, he lost his money, and now he was losing his job, thrown under the bus by Kayla Bristowe. Once his office crush and the one person he felt had his back at work now left a bitter taste in his mouth. She ruined everything. Sebastian can’t deny something needs to change so he moves out of the city, to Vermont, to work as a snowboarding instructor as a mountain resort. He never expects his former company to come to the resort for a retreat, with Kayla Bristowe planning it all. When he overhears her throwing him under the bus to his boss, again, he makes a pact to make her pay. Kateyn Bristowe has a plan for her life and it doesn’t include seeing her jerk of an ex-boss while on a very important retreat. She’s here to prove herself to her boss and the last thing she needs is Sebastian sabotaging her well laid plans. When anger turns to lust, things are suddenly not so clear.

The first book I read of Tara Wyatt's was Stupid Love, the first Prescott book, and she immediately made her way to the top of my list of favorite authors. When I had the opportunity to read an advanced copy of Snow Job, I pretty much shoved all the other books in my [digital] read pile to the floor to make way for Prescott #2. Sebastian and Kayla's story, while not as good as Theo and Lauren's, did not disappoint. (The friends-to-lovers trope will always win out over the enemies-to-lovers one for me.)

Snow Job is a lot grittier than the first novel in this series. Sebastian has a lot of emotional issues to deal with, namely the aftereffects of lost dreams and a fairly craptastic childhood. It all comes to a head when his self-destructive behavior leads to being fired from his executive-level marketing job at a posh Manhattan real estate firm. Kayla, formerly a marketing manager under Bastian and indirectly responsible for bringing his poor performance to their boss' attention, is promoted to his old position.

For three years, Bastian and Kayla had worked together, ignoring a mutual attraction, but when Bastian left for Vermont to be a snowboarding instructor, they were both so disgusted with one another, it was no big deal. Until...

Kayla is tasked with organizing a company retreat, and of course books it at the same resort that Bastian works for. Events naturally lead to being snowbound, which naturally leads to Wyatt's patented sexy times (Hot with a capital H). From there, Bastian and Kayla become a couple, until Bastian's unsavory past comes back to haunt him.

Any more would venture into spoiler territory...

For all that Bastian is a hot mess, Wyatt does a great job redeeming him. I do wish a little more attention had been focused on him getting the help he needs; while we understand the events that led to his destructive tendencies, I feel like they're the triggers but not the root cause. To be fair, we learn he's been in therapy, but I needed a little bit more.

For her part, Kayla is pretty awesome, and Bastian should thank his lucky stars for her every day into eternity. I wish we had gotten to see a little more of her standing up to her boss (and a subordinate) though. I got the impression that the story might have been headed there at some point, but then it headed in a different direction (to focus more on Bastian). I would have preferred the climax (the story's, not Kayla's, and she has many of them, yaaaaaas) been her giving her boss the proverbial finger. Perhaps, though, the direction the story went is better as a setup for Prescott #3 (Love Bug... Can't wait!).

Overall, this is a terrific book, with great characters that you can't help rooting for. I have it four stars, but it's borderline 4.5 for me.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. Thanks!

First let me say if I could I would give this story 4 1/2 stars. I have read a number of Tara's books and love them all for different reasons. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to read book one of this series. I will be going back and read Stupid love.
Kayla Bristowe was an only child of a single mother who had a hard time making ends met. She decided having a guy around to help the bills was the way to go. Unfortunately, after a lot of husband's times were still tough. Kayla decided early on what she wanted from life and set a "Perfect Life Plan".
She planned, studied and followed the list religiously except the last step. Number 5, find perfect man, marry and have perfect babies. (as those of us who have had kids, grand kids and great grandkids none are perfect all are loveable !!) Kayla got her dream job then found out her boss was arrogant, unreliable and left her to salve all the problems alone. He was also handsome as sin, and made her dream of things that would never happen. So, she told their supervisor what was going one and he fires Sebastien and gave her his job.
Sebastien Prescott come from a large family with lots of money and little or no love between his parents. Lucian the oldest bother more or less raised the rest. Sebastien has never thought he is good enough as his father told him all the time. So he goes out of his way to prove how bad he is.
He gets into gambling, drinking, women so bad that Lucian takes his trust fund so he will not lose it. Sadly, this didn't stop him only had him getting the money from really bad people.
When he loses his job then his apartment, he hits bottom. He blames one sassy beautiful woman for all his troubles. One Kayla Bristowe !! He hates her but also dreamed about all he would like to do to her body at the same time. He finds a job with an old friend of his from his snowboarding days.
He is finally getting his life back on track then Kayla shows up with the rest of their old company
for a retreat. Let the games regain. Bastian wants to get even; Kayla wants everything to be perfect. How far will he go?
This is a fast-moving book with lots of things going on and help from mother nature.
Can both Bastian and Kayla forget, move on and maybe find happiness ?
Will trouble from his past be too much for them ?
If you love second chances, and happy endings with lots of steam this is the book for you.
I didn't like the ending totally but the book was great.
I received an ARC from the author and wish to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it.

Wow! Wow, wow, wow. In love with this book, and this series. These damaged Prescott men! Who will save their poor tortured souls?

Sebastian is trying to get his life back together after years of letting it spiral out of control. He’s not sure what that means until he sees Kayla and knows he can be better with her by his side, until tragedy strikes and he spirals again. He is just a sensitive person who feels his emotions so strongly and it often makes him act on impulse. I just want to wrap him in a big hug and tell him it’s all going to be okay.

Kayla is a successful, overachieving planner who knows what she wants and takes the necessary steps to get it done. She lets her plans go off the rails when she meets Sebastian, but who wouldn’t want to take care of him? She is so understanding and patient with him, knowing he has struggles but also knows that they can get through it together.

This book made me laugh, cry, and say “oh my!” with its steam. The “office” hook up?!! OMG!!

My only issue with the story was when Sebastian starts to spiral again after a serious issue with Kayla. Multiple people offer him support and tell him that he can get through it, but only when he’s back at his ski resort and talking to two of his coworkers does he realize that he can get through it. They told him the same things that everyone else did, so why was it them that made him think about picking himself back up and moving forward? I guess I just didn’t see anything different with the things they said to what Kayla or his brother Lucien told him, so what was it? I’ve never dealt with depression or anything so that’s probably why I didn’t get it. Maybe it just takes one certain person to say one thing to help you in a way others can’t.

This issue does not detract from my five stars though, because the story is good, the characters are amazing and I seriously cannot wait for the next book in the series. Thank you Tara Wyatt for writing such amazing stories and enjoyable characters!

I received this arc for an honest review.

I was looking forward to this story as soon as I finished the last book and read the beginning for this one. Here you have Sebastian Prescott, who from the first book was always drinking and gambling. He had also gotten kicked out or evicted from his apartment and was living with his older brother. Still not understanding what he did wrong on why he got evicted from his apartment since he was sure other people ran bigger gambling scheme than he did, his life was still going to take a more of a drastic turn when he went into work and after speaking with his boss he was fired. Really it was for not showing up for meetings or being late, or being hungover, really just not doing his job as he did maybe even a year ago. Yet all he heard that his assistant Kayla Bristow was the one who brought this to his bosses’ attention so therefore she is the reason he got fired.
Kayla has a plan first for her was to graduate high school and get a scholarship for college, check, get into a master’s program, check, then find a job check. She was surprised when she got the job she did and was looking forward to working with and learning from Sebastian, he was smart, sexy and confidant but then something changed and he became unproductive and she needed help so she went to his boss not knowing he was going to get fired or that she would be taking over his job all of it happened so quickly. Now given the task of organizing the company retreat she comes up with a ski lodge in Vermont.
The first morning everyone is outside watching the three snowboarders come down the mountain doing flips and other tricks getting the crowd all excited about the lessons that are about to happen. Then it happens one of the snowboarders was Sabastian, yes, her former boss and you come to find out that he actually made the Olympic team only to be crushed when a knee injury and surgery took him out. Now he is going to be giving lessons to some of the people he worked with, especially Kayla.
He flips out later when he thinks she is trying to get him fired once again and begins to mess with her plans for the retreat. It takes a call from his brother from the first book whose girlfriend is also one of Kayla’s friends to talk to him and to set him straight. Also, what happens is a storm comes through and she gets stuck out in it and is also hurt. He finds her and carries her to his cabin. They end up spending a few days and nights together and they are able to work through there issues between one another in more ways than talking. They still have some things to work out but for the rest of the story, you will just have to read about it. I am also wondering what happened with all of the extra items that Sabastian never was able to use for the gift bags? I really liked this story and I am looking forward to others especially Lucian the older brother. Very much a good read and worthy of anyone’s time. Sebastian was Kayla's boss. He'd given her a chance to start her career. She was driven and doing a great job but she got frustrated with Sebastian and instead of talking to him, she went over his head to his boss. He was going through a bad time and getting fired was the last straw. Now several months later he's left the city, his high profile career and gone back to something that had made him happy in the past and is trying to turn his life around. He's making great progress until Kayla shows up at the resort he's working at. She's in charge of planning the retreat for the company he used to work at. She's under pressure to make the retreat perfect, he's frustrated with the memories Kayla stirs up. He's always had an attraction to her but felt she hated him. The chemistry between these two is off the charts but their history is getting in the way. Then there's a snowstorm, a rescue, snowed in....together. They seem to find their way to each other but there's more problems to overcome. This is my first book by Ms. Wyatt and I enjoyed it a great deal. Characters are well developed and story flowed at a good pace. This was the second book in the series but I was able to read as a stand alone however, I want to go back and read the first one! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Snow Job is book # 2 in The Prescotts series.

The Prescotts are brothers, this is Sebastians story. His life has been in a downward spiral for awhile now due to his addiction to drinking and gambling. He's just been fired from his job and in that moment he only sees one thing, person rather, to blame for that, Kayla. She was the position below him, so he sees it as her trying to get his job.
He finally realizes something needs to change, so he moves to Vermont to be a snowboarding instructor, as he had been pro in his late teens early 20s until an injury stops that career.

What both don't expect is that the resort for the company retreat she's put together, happens to be the one Sebastian works at.

Sebastian sees this as a chance to get back at her by tweaking a few things to cause some ruckus. Kayla gets the blame from her boss, and decides to, when everything has been fixed, go for a quiet run on the slopes. A storm comes in, Kayla gets injured and Sebastian ends up being the one to find her. They are not far from his cabin ( that he lives in) so he carries her there.

She recovers there, and they talk, working to resolve their issues.

Tara, you never disappoint! I loved this book, and the growth that Sebastian had. I can't wait until the next book and next brothers story!

I would also like to thank the author, Tara Wyatt for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is the second book in the Prescotts Series and is Sebastian Prescott’s story. This can be read as a standalone but I think it will be more enjoyable if you read the series in order. If you have read book one, Stupid Love, you'll have met Sebastian and know that he's got some real serious issues, drinking too much and doing a lot of underground fighting/boxing, gambling, he's a beautiful mess. I knew it was going to take a special lady to take on Sebastian. Tara Wyatt didn’t disappoint. I loved this story, its steamy and full of heart and emotion. I can’t wait for the next story, Max and Willa.

Kayla is Sebastian’s nemesis. He believes it's her fault that he was fired. They both spent a lot of time hating each other but there's a fine line between hatred and love. Months later Sebastian is trying to get his life in order. He's broke but starting to enjoy the person he's becoming. Can Kayla help Sebastian heal and change his life?

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really loved the first book in the series and was eager to read this new one. Having met Sébastien in the previous book I had my mind made up about him but boy was I wrong. His character's past and present were so heartbreaking that I rooted for him throughout this story. Loved the 2 POVs, the chemistry was just wow and the previously mentioned heart is still breaking for him. Kayla was a really strong character and her honesty about her feelings for him felt so real. Loved Loved this story, my only negative was that it finished a little abruptly and I wanted more. Can't wait for Max.

I want to thank Tara Wyatt, author and Goodreads First Reads Giveaway for eBook Kindle copy of Snow Job that I won in the Giveaway.

Sebastian Prescott is on a downward spiral from his once promising career as an Olympic snowboarder, until he accident, major surgery and his dreams came to an end. He has lost everything except his siblings support when he is fired and takes a new job as a snowboard instructor in Vermont. He blames his troubles on others instead of taking responsibility and after an encounter with Kayla Bristowe, is once upon a time assistant and her being the lead person for a corporate retreat at the ski lodge where he now works.

He pulls funny, sexy pranks on Kayla to get revenge and soon realizes that he is not on the right track. A snow storm that turns into a major blizzard with a rescue throws Bastian and Kayla together in a remote cabin on the mountain. The romance is hot, sexy and fun as they find they actually like on another while forced to be alone together, so from enemies to lovers with lots of passion at both extremes makes Snow Job a fun and exciting story especially with a home invasion too.

MY REVIEW

Growing up in a fucked-up family, Sebastian Prescott has his own 'demons' to deal with, just like the other Prescotts.
He once had everything. A bright future, youth and money. Until it's all gone.
He fell into an addiction that made his life miserable.
And meet Kayla, an ambitious girl who makes the 'Perfect Life Plans' for her life to avoid walking in her mother’s footsteps—marrying the wrong guy (more than once), struggling to pay the bills, white-knuckling her way through life because she couldn’t seem to get it together.
Sebastian is definitely not included in her 'Perfect Life Plan'
But what if the mother nature had other plans?
What will happen to them?
Can they accept each other for who they are?

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

“And I’m not trying to force anything . I’m just…I’m ready, you know? I want that next step. I want someone to share my life with. The right someone.”

This is the second book in The Prescotts series.
Sebastian wasn't really get my attention in the first book, I was more interested in Lucas' story actually.

The story started out pretty juvenile.
Like, junior high school level of juvenile.
Both the Hero and Heroine were too immature and I rolled my eyes countless times reading their stupidity.
description

At first, I thought that Sebastian was too fucked up, and Kayla was too shallow.
But as the story goes, they finally start to get their shits together.
So glad that the author proofed me wrong in the end.

This book is shorter than the first one.
And I like that.
Because long stories bored me LOL
I prefer a short, fast-paced story like this to avoid too many dramas.

Sebastian doesn't have this stupid fear of relationship, like Theo does.
So it's a good point because it makes the story less dramatic.
Although his constant thoughts of he doesn't deserve to be happy and loved often irritated me.

As for Kayla, honestly I didn't really like her at first. I love an ambitious heroine, but I think she is just 'too much' and too judgment.
But how she becomes the 'mature' one when the drama happens really impressed me.

I love hot sex scenes, but then who doesn't? LOL
But for me, the sex scenes were too much that I ended up just skimming through it.
description

The ending is too 'simple' as for a problem resolver.
Although the author promised to give the reader bonus scene if we signed up for her newsletter.
I know maybe this is a marketing strategic, but in my opinion, it's better to just write them down on the book instead.
That's why I still can't give this book 5 stars.
But over all, I really enjoyed this second installment.

From the sneak peak for the next book, I'm so excited to read Max and Willa's story.
Although I'm still super curious about Lucas. I hope we get his story too soon.

Thank you so much to the author, publisher and NetGalley for providing me this ARC in exchange for an honest review written above.

After reading Theo and Lauren's story, I really wanted to read his siblings' stories. Now it's Sebastian's turn, and I have to say: I loved it! He is going through a rough patch which is keeping him from moving forward. He lost his job and blames his subordinate, Kayla. She is very intelligent, eloquent, insightful. She is looking for the perfect man and for this she has a list of the characteristics and requirements that her perfect man must have. She worked for 3 years with Sebastian, always respecting the boss-employee relationship, however the attraction between them was so palpable. Kayla developed a crush on who his boss was, but Sebastian is a long way from meeting the requirements of her list. But she doesn’t have to worry now that Sebastian is no longer her boss. He is working as a snowboard instructor at a ski resort in Vermont. Fate and Mother Nature bring them together again and in that time they spend together, not only exploits the sexual tension, but also helps them open up to each other and understand the reasons why Sebastian holds resentment, frustration and anger. But it is Kayla who manages to motivate him to change his mind. She helps him to accept his mistakes, past circumstances and move forward. Likewise, he shows her another perspective on life: things don't always turn out as we expected. This book is about understanding, acknowledging mistakes to accept the past and move forward. In addition, the family weighs heavily in these books. Although the Prescott brothers are very different from each other, they are unconditional and always willing to help. Lucian intrigues me too much! Since "Stupid Love," but I'm happy to know that the next book is Max and Willa's (Kayla's best friend).

4.5⭐️

The name Kayla Bristowe leaves a bitter taste in his mouth, but also stirs something inside of him that he hasn't been able to shake in the last three years. She was the beautiful employee that wrecked his life and got him fired from his job. When he lost his dream of competing in the Olympics it was the only thing he could think about, to the point that it kept him from living. His life was a complete mess and it cost him dearly. He has since moved on, found a different job that he loves, but the animosity he has for Kayla is still as strong now as it was then.

When she shows up at the resort where he works with her co-workers for a retreat he is as shocked as she is to see one another again. That animosity he holds for her, as well as, his desire for her rear's it's ugly head and he instantly knows that there is no way any good can come from this situation...

Between the pages of Snow Job you will meet a tortured hero with a past that haunts him and the woman who helped his world to come crashing down. This time things are a little different, she wanders into his world again, but it's his turn to get a little payback. What he doesn't plan on though is mother nature stepping in and lending a hand. When these two wound up getting snowed in together I knew things were going to combust, all that hate, desire and forced proximity... it was just like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. And boy did it ever! Once they let go of their distaste for one another and gave into their desire things took an unexpected and very steamy turn. But would it last once they are no longer bound together by the weather? I thoroughly enjoyed finding out the answer to that question and the road it took to get them to that point. It wasn't an easy fall, there were many things standing in their way, but once their hearts took the lead it was smooth sailing. Highly recommend this one, it's words will keep you thoroughly entertained and give your heartstrings a nice little tug!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

Reading the blurb, I didn't know what to expect while diving in. By chapter six, I had a permanent smile on my face, while my heart was aching for Sebastian Prescott. He was fired from his position because of his assistant, Kayla. His drinking and gambling were way out of control, leaving her cleaning up his mess, so she consideres her choices fair . As every person in a down spiral, he blames her for his bad luck. Trying to find himself and what to make of his life, he goes back to what make him happy, snowboarding. A couple months later she's in charge, organizing a corporativ retreat, to the resort where now Sebastian is a snowboard instructor. This is where the cat and mouse play begins.
I really felt compassion for Sebastian, it's so rare to read about an uncertain male caracter. While alpha males are all the rage right now, is good to read about one having real life issues and not shielding away from showing them. Truth is, we are an extension of the way we grew up. Kayla is a wonderful caracters, fighting for herself and what she deserves. Being snowed in with Sebastian in his cabin, she's soon realizing, that sometimes what we see is only the surface of a person we know, there might be more to a person than the choices he makes. This is a story about accepting and forgiving ourselves, let in the people around us, accept the love they're willing to give you.
I like a book that teaches me something. My favorite quote that doesn't fell like a spoiler is :
"He didn’t get to tell people how they felt about him— that was up to them."
It's my second book I've read by Tara Wyatt and I'm not disappointed, her stories are page turners. The perfect combination of angsty, with a little bit of funny thrown in there to make it different. I received an ARC for an onest review.

Kayla and Sebastian are not strangers. In fact, he was at one time her boss. A terrible boss at that. Once he was fired she took his job. We met all of the characters in this book in book #1, Stupid Love. The Prescott boys are all so different and amazing in their own way and I knew their love stories would be as unique as they are.

Sebastian’s life was out of control. He was drinking too much, had no place to live, and now doesn’t have a job. Then there is Kayla, and she is as type A as they come. She has a plan. And her plan does not involve getting involved with someone that doesn’t have their crap together.

Well, the universe has other plans for these two. After tucking his tail, Sebastian finds himself doing what he loves….snowboarding. He is holed up at a ski resort teaching snowboard lessons. Which also happens to be the resort Kayla booked for her company's winter retreat. Que awkward. And feisty Kayla comes out. Everyone around these two could feel the sexual tension, but they did not want to see it.

Well, once they are forced to see it. It is steamy and hot! These two have some serious chemistry, like we all knew they would! I also really liked how Tara tied in characters from her previous book and the next in her series. Readers get a look into the lives of the past characters that we grew to love, but we also start falling for Max in this book. It really makes you keep wanting more!

If you are in the market for a quick read with some serious banter, sexual tension, and a little angst this book is for you! Sebastian is a really sweet, caring and damaged human looking for someone outside of his family to support him and love him….he just didn’t know it! And Kayla has the power to be the emotionally strong woman she thought she was!

After reading Tara Wyatt's Stupid Love, I really wanted to know what would happen to the other Prescott brothers. Because they all come from a highly disfunctional family. And as the youngest, Sebastian was always the joker, the one getting into trouble, just to get some attention from his parents. And when his Olympic Dream ended because of an injury, he totally spiraled out of control. More than often drunk or high, it has been a decade of bad decisions, one after another. So, it is not totally surprisingly that Sebastian lost his job. The reason why it took his bosses so long, before throwing his ass out, was because his assistant Kayla covered for him for years. Licking his wounds and feeling sorry for himself, Sebastian finds a new job as a snowboard instructor.
Feeling like she is drowing in her job, because her boss is mostly absent or non supportive, Kayla is done with cleaning up Sebastian's mess. Although he is hot as hell, she just can't handle all the responsibilies he throws her way. So, when she had enough courage to go to Sebastian's boss, she didn't realize it would lead to Sebastian being fired and her getting his job. And also, she didn't realize that working for Sebastian's boss is even more demanding than working for Sebastian. Because, although very absent, Sebastian had always treated her with respect and not as a doormat as her current boss.
And when Sebastian finds out that the yearly corporate retreat is booked in his snow resort, he will do anything to help Kayla fail as the organisor. That will teach her for her getting him fired. When Kayla gets lost in a snowstorm, they are thrown together in a cabin for a few days. And there is one way to keep each other warm... The chemistry is off the charts and the story is funny as hell, but with multiple layers. In all, a very funny, cute and hot story! Let's keep those Prescott's stories coming! Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
