A New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Elle Kennedy grew up in the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario, and holds a B.A. in English from York University. From an early age, she knew she wanted to be a writer, and actively began pursuing that dream when she was a teenager.
Elle currently writes for various publishers. She loves strong heroines and sexy alpha heroes, and just enough heat and danger to keep things interesting!
The fact that this epilogue is about Mike and Rupi’s relationship says everything. They deserved a book. Glad at least I got to see a little bit of their relationship 🥰
actually OBSESSED with rupi and hollis! i wish they got their own book and not just this silly little bonus epilogue but hey im happy for them. they are super out there and silly and crazy but they work together somehow! love how they dropped everything to travel and youuu knowwww dont want to spoil it hehe. I want more of them they are so funny!
need need need more rupi and hollis!! not even a full book, just a novella about their adventures in Nepal. they are so 😭💗, i love them and they’re definitely one underrated couple imo.
I got this ebook via signing up for Kennedy's mailing letter (which was free).
This bonus epilogue expands on the original epilogue in The Play. I truthfully prefer the epilogue in the book and I'm glad the book ended where it did. This epilogue gives us an extra sex scene between Hunter and Demi and then flashes to Mike and Rupi in Nepal. Hunter and Demi's portion is fine, meh, mostly exactly the same as the original.
Mike and Rupi's part picks up where they end their phone call with Hunter/Fitz/Summer/Brenna/Demi. The couple seems to think their friends weren't elated by their news and they agree with each other that most people are stupid. What a nice sentiment to have about your friends. Not. I'm met with the same feelings I had for these two in the original book - how are these students that got into an Ivy League school, and Mike graduated. Whatever, I'm just so glad the next book is not about them, because I don't know if I could read that. I don't think a relationship described as "always fighting or always banging" is going to work out in the longterm and their fights were no fun to read. Their whole relationship was very blah for me.
This epilogue gets a solid 2.5/3 for me, it doesn't add much to the story and I think the main book is better off without it.
The fact that this is listed as Briar U #3.5 is the stupidest thing ever. It’s like 3 pages of new content and it’s all pointless. It’s just a ploy for people to subscribe to an email newsletter. Do not waste your time!!
