The totally unexpected revelation is out, and there’s no turning back. If that’s not enough, there are also forces at work which are trying to destroy us. Again, I am in danger. And again, Jake is there as my protector. But I can’t be watched every second of every day. And in one of those unguarded moments, it happens. Jake’s always been there to save me. But this time, I’m not too sure I can be saved.

This series has always been special to me. Even before Jaimie got it re-edited, it was one of my absolute favorite reads, a series I can't count how often I have read.
I love how Jaimie always excelled at walking right on the line of taboo, and how she, through this series, made me crave her madness LOL
That said, the re-edit really made it shine by making the puzzle piece fit together that much better. And I absolutely loved the new twists and turns that highlights the already sturdy bones of this story.
Wow! Is all I can say Jaimie does it again. After reading Take a Breath when it was re-released couple of years ago I have been waiting anxiously for the conclusion of Ana & Jake’s story and it was totally worth it. I started this the morning it was released and finished by lunchtime! I couldn’t put it down absolutely loved Ana and Jake and would still want more maybe a story for Matthew & Cindy??
Book three was back with a bang, but there was so much going on that I got pissed off by 60%.
Firstly, Stella was just the worst, and it was apparent how manipulative she was being. Ana spends the whole book confiding in everyone else but Jake that she's pregnant because he 'apparently' doesn't want to be a father again, but instead of asking, she allows Michael to swoop in and do some weird shit. To add some extra drama and to keep having sexy dreams about Jake and what Michael did is just wrong.
I wasn't expecting the twist with the kidnapping, but I knew her Mum was involved. Something about mums taking out their daughters is a thing in dark romance. I like the fact that, finally, Ana admits that she wants Jake and no one else, and Jake starts being more aware of her feelings. He is giving her time, but the Jake from book one would never have accepted that. However, Stella's pregnancy seems to go on forever.
Matthew and Cindy's accident shook me a little, especially in the aftermath, but Matthew is just adorable, and we need their story!
I wasn't shocked by the ending. I expected something like that, but I didn't expect the showdown between the three. I also think she would have grieved her Mum a little, but it's skimmed over in the rushed ending.
I appreciated Matthew's POV and the bonus chapters, but in Matthew's chapter, he says Ana and Jake were married quickly before she got too pregnant. In the bonus chapters, when she's in labour, Jake calls her his fiance, but she is actually his wife. So it's a little confusing.
I loved the first book the most, but I also loved this book. This is definitely an excellent series to rush through in a couple of days.
I love this Author but this book aggravated me I hate when they wait till the final 2 chapters to tell the man that she is pregnant. She continues to sleep with him but can’t tell him it’s aggravating.!!! Other then that it was good.
If you read this series before the re releases this year you must go reread them especially book 2 before book 3. Overall likes the changes made in book 2 to lead up to 3
I have read all three books in less the a week. I couldn't put them down! It was just enough over the top love mixed with craziness to keep the intrigue up
