One year ago, I saw her in my class.
One year ago, the ground opened up beneath me.
Avery Jennings. She’s my student. My secret longing. My kryptonite.
After I taught her for one semester, I was clear: she needs to stay away. My restraint is wearing thin.
But the first day of class in her second year, who do I find in my lecture hall?
Avery is sweet. Determined. She looks at me with hearts in her eyes.
And I’m a monster. A wicked man.
Because with her… I can’t resist.

I read Ballet Master a while ago and I enjoyed it a lot so I had to read this one too. It's a short story, full of steamy scenes about a college professor and his student. I don't know why but there's something in the stories by this author that work for me a lot.
The only thing I missed was a glimpse of their first year as student and teacher so that we got to see why they were attracted to each other. I'll definitely read the rest of the books in the series sometime. 4 ⭐
“You’re my sweet little exhibitionist, aren’t you?” She nods, hiccuping when I spank her ass. I start to rock my hips, her stranglehold on my cock making sweat bead on my forehead. So. Goddamn. Good. “And you’re mine. All mine, Avery. Mine to fuck. Mine to love. Mine to marry.”
[...] for the millionth time, I picture her here. In my home. Curled up on my sofa, painting her nails. Sipping hot chocolate and watching a movie. Puttering around in the kitchen, already knowing where everything is. Eating food from my refrigerator, sleeping in my bed, stepping into my shower.-Ellis
