That was 🔥

It's no secret that I love student-professor romance books (when they're done right) and Cassie Mint didn't disappoint me again.

I loved this novella a lot and I can't even say what I usually say when I read a short story "I wish it was a full length novel". No, this time I didn't wish that because this was just what I expect from a novella to be.

Probably one of the best (and hottest) novellas I've ever read. 4 ⭐

So this third novella from the Teacher's Pet series was definitely much better than the first two. It felt like it was more believable and enjoyable. The story was about this talented and reserved student artist who had a crush on her art teacher. While she thinks she most likely won't ever get a chance to get close to him, this teacher has secretly been obsessed with her...

This romance actually felt decently paced for once and developed organically. Well, as much as a novella can, that is. I liked that there was more substance by the way the characters were presented.

From every shelf, from every canvas, Leona stares back at me. Her big brown eyes burn with every emotion I’ve ever seen pass over her face—humor. Passion. Sadness. Longing. She’s so expressive, the emotion bleeding through her eyes, and each time I see a new one, I’m a man possessed.

Leona wasn't necessarily a shy person but she was reserved and sweet. And Mason was just a ball of obsession. If at first he seemed fairly normal, his passion became more and more intense as he got closer to Leona. It really did feel like they both were breaking barriers one by one. There was chemistry, pacing and an OTT hero, I couldn't have asked for more.

I’m not shy, exactly. I’m reserved. When people pay attention to you, you have to guard your words. Watch how you behave. I much prefer to skip all that and bury my nose in a sketchbook.

Would I recommend this novella? Yes. It was a pleasant read for me and I think that many would enjoy it.

Really enjoyed this.

Thought this was a great student/professor read. It held some really good tension, especially considering the length.

I do wish Mason had been more jealous of the fact she was modeling in front of all those people, not just turned on but that was okay.

I can’t believe the Dean didn’t give Mason back his crazy obsessed collection of drawings and paintings of Leona! That sucked.

Shall We Call It The Cupboard Of Shame?

I really enjoyed this! Short, instalove and instalust. It was sexy and definitely made me consider taking an art class! Mason and Leona were great characters and I loved the little cameos from the others in the series. The steam was appreciated and I'm still impressed by the amount of story Cassie Mint manages to fit it. You should really check out the series!

Let me just say I LOVE LOVE LOVE the basis of this book - art. The way art is depicted through Cassie Mint's writing is so simple, easy to understand and yet everything is properly written and you can feel & appreciate the essences. I LOVE IT SO MUCH 😮‍💨

The slight angst, as usual, TOP NOTCH.

And Professor Reeve is described as feral.....so you know 🤭

This was an enjoyable read. This is book 3 of the Teacher's Pet series. This story follows the romance between the art professor, Mason Reeves and the art student, Leona. Leona is an art student and is in love with Mason. She becomes a life model for one of the classes that Mason attends and the attraction grows. I would say that Leona is smart, snarky yet beautiful. Mason Reeves is trying to keep his feelings at bay. He is possessive, smart, and sexy. I thought their romance although it is an insta-love story was great. I thought the story was great, and interesting. I am curious how the rest of the series will turn out. Next up is the story of Charlotte and her love story. The Dean, here I come. Overall, a great read.

Too Short

Everything about this book was Great! Except that I felt it was too short! They could have been more fuddling around between Leona and Mason. The sparks were great but there just wasn’t enough! Leona could have used 2 to 3 nude modeling sessions before she became comfortable being nice in front of her professor. It should take more than an hour for her to come to terms with her body. And lastly there could have been more interaction between her friends and later the Dean’s secretary! The friends could have helped her get over her shyness. The secretary needs to dish more on the Dean…it would make a better lead in to the next story. ‘Nough said, I downloaded a sample of the next story “The Dean” and I look forward to it being as good as “Life Model”!

I have become obsessed with these OTT sexy forbidden stories by Cassie Mint and Life Model is definitely no exception. Leona has a secret and its that she has a crush on her art professor, Mason. She has no idea that he also has a secret. He is totally obsessed with her but he has managed to resist. That is until she becomes the new model at the Graphyte art gallery. If you enjoy quick and steamy forbidden romance, you will love their story! Looking forward to Charlotte and Dean Gibson's story.

This was cute.
Having this palpable connection between Mason & Leona and their shared passion for art was lovely. I don't real a whole lot of things about artists.

What I did not like was, when they had their first time, they got caught by someone - it is not clarified by whom, but it's a woman.

Mason owns up to his mistake and reports himself to the Dean and gets canned - rightfully so.

Also, I liked the integration of the next MC in this series, Charlotte. Usually it feels a bit forced but this time I liked it. Even tho they were really close, really fast (I would never) but it was nice.

I give a 3.5 maybe 4 star rating I really enjoy this author and this series so far I was wondering if we'd get a glimpse of the last female character in this cause we hadn't yet before but we did and it was nice to meet the character a little even if not by much but yeah the 2 of the leads were cute together definitely had Chemistry and I enjoyed this story wish I got to see more of them honestly but I liked theway it was as well but again for slightly wish there was more but it isn't a long story so can't get everything

Another Triumph of a Novel, Cassie!

This is another triumph of a novel, Cassie! I'm quickly becoming addicted to your novels, and this is definitely not an addiction I plan on breaking! I loved Leona and Mason's passion for each other, how their instant romance solidified, and how they had a happily ever after together in love and in the truest of happiness. Thank you for more of your literary entertainment!

Life Model is the story of Leona and Mason Reeve.

Teacher x student, art teacher x art student, she goes to a place called Graphite to be a naked model and Mason is there and astonished that she’s up there but more so hard. The tension gets high between them and they give in and them getting caught is what breaks them up but after a week, they see each other at Graphite and immediately have make up sex. Lmao I’m not giving up good smut. They have a HEA and a kid.

I enjoyed reading about Leona and Mason. Leona Ridley is an art student. She has been crushing on her professor for some time.

Professor Mason Reeve is one of the art teachers. But this professor has been crushing on one particular student.

When an off campus opportunity comes up. Things comes to a tumble. Mason finally takes a leap. Things heat up and get dirty. I liked the epilogue at the end.

A fantastic age gap taboo romance! It is well written, fast pace, funny, engaging, steamy, passionate, and well-developed. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is undeniable and off the charts! Definitely recommended!

Mason and Leona

Mason is an art professor obsessed with Leona, his student. He has kept away, mindful of their professor/student relationship. So is with a shock that he comes face to face with a naked Leona, posing as a live model. After that is impossible for him to keep his hands off her. Highly recommended

Decent dual perspective, both his and hers. I am amazed at how much backstory and storyline there are to such a short story. It was more steam and less hot explicit reading. (Apparently once I picked up smut I really fell for dark and twisted. This has an extra layer of awesomeness if you read the rest of the series. On to the next book.

Perfectly tense

I was in the mood for some spicey love without having to get too far into a plot- this story was perfect. The pacing, the tension, and exactly enough backstory to know what was going on.

This wasn’t it. It was fine. But I didn’t like Mason, the professor. He was too darkly obsessed and too rough for Leona.

Virgin FMC. Power dynamic, teacher/student. No cheating. Slight breakup. No OWD/OMD. Epilogue 5 years later with a baby son and pregnant.
