Cara has had the biggest crush on her dads best friend Michael since she was thirteen, as time had passed it’s turned from a crush to live but she bows there is no way that he would ever look at her as anything more than his best friends daughter. No longer a teenager and having graduated from college she’s working as a teaching assistant at a local daycare centre where they specialise in special needs. In need of a play area she takes it upon herself to raise money and with her parents living in a rich area of town arranges a bake sale whilst they are away. Things looking positive with so many people showing up only for the object of her love to stride across and buy every last baked good she has. And the way he’s looking at like his favourite type of cupcake is giving her the idea the feelings she had for him might not be as one sided as she had always thought. But surely she’s just being fanciful, isn’t she?
Michael had been enjoying his sleep after a night of over indulgence only to be awoken by one his neighbours hammering on his front door. As president of the HOA a job he had no idea how he got in the first place he’s responsible for all things in their little cup de sac. So when he’s told that there is a bake sale taking place he has to investigate. He wasn’t expecting it to be being held at his best friends house nor was he expecting the beauty in the sundress who has taken his breath away that is until she turns around and he realises exactly who he is looking at in a way he knows he shouldn’t is Cara, someone he’s known all her life but the way she is looking right now there is no way to miss how much she had grown up. Knowing he had to ignore these feelings that have knocked him off his game, he can’t go there can he, she can’t be looking at him as anything more than her dads friend. But there is a look in her eye that tells him she wants him, could there be more here and what will he choose, love or friendship?

This is an yummy quick treat from Abby and I'll be the first to admit she hooked me with that cover. I'm a sucker for bakery in my romance reads.
I also happen to love a good age gap romance, which this happens to also be. Yum, who can resist an older man?? Certainly not me!
Now that I've started this series on book 2 I better go back and nab book 1!

Cara has had a crush on her dad's friend Michael for a while. Even knowing nothing would ever come of it, she saved herself for him. Michael wants to settle down, has for a while. He thought for sure, by now he would be married and have some kids. But it didn't seem to be in the cards for him. Roped into being the HOA president, the last thing he thought he would have to do on a Saturday is to shut down a bake sale in the neighborhood. When he saw Cara in her yellow sundress, shutting her down was definitely the last thing on his mind. Cara isn't going to miss this opportunity to have the man of her dreams in her arms. She may seems all cute and cuddly but she puts everything on the line for a chance at happy ever after. This was ten kinds of adorable and I loved it! They can be read as standalone but have intern connected characters (sisters) but I’d recommend reading them in order. From the first page I knew I wasn’t going to put the book down Abby just went at it from the first page. Michael the is woken up rudely and told to stop the bake sale that’s being held on his best friends lawn but from the moment he lays his eyes on the beautiful blonde he is attracted to her until he realizes it’s his best friends daughter. Cara has been in love with Michael for a very long time. This book is a quick, funny, the chemistry is off the charts and swooney read. I look forward to the rest of series and wish I could read them all now.

Michael is grumpy and growly and smitten and a delightfully confused mess as he tries to sort out his feelings, his actions, his life. He's been adrift but all of a sudden has found his anchor.
Cara is endearing and feisty and charming and head over heels in love with her father's best friend. She's driven and knows what she wants, and now is going about getting it, wanting and deserving her HEA.
There's some light angst, will they won't they, definitely jumping feet first into a dream that feels so real it could be true, and the beauty of family, of friendships, and most importantly, of cake!
Thoroughly enjoyed, absolutely made me smile, and I know it'll do the same for you! So, sit back, cut yourself a slice, and enjoy!

Cara works with special ed pre-K kids at the school. Her fathers best friend next door is the HOA president, Michael, who she has had a serious crush on for ten years. Due to a neighbor complaining, he offers to buy all of the baked goods and hands her a huge check. The two get together afterwards and serious sparks fly.
The characters are vivid enough to be believable. The storyline was well written and heartwarming in the intense feelings and emotions. The stress of telling her parents turned into a surprise. Loved the trust and devotion they showed, especially in the ending and epilogue. Well done.

First things first; I really like the cover of this book!
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Cara has had a crush on her father’s best friend for years. When Cara is back home for a work fundraiser, they reconnect but will they give love a chance?
The chemistry between Michael and Cara is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.

I love Abby Knox. This was such a fun read. Abby is so descriptive, reading from Michael's POV was fantastically dirty and fun to read. I loved how all in Cara was with harboring this secret crush on Michael for years. Michael tried resisting Cara since she was his friends daughter but once he got her into his house, it was game on. Such a great read, I actually liked this one better than the first book Judge Me with Cara's sister.

I thought that this was a really good book. I really liked Michael and Cara together. The connection and chemistry was great. Cara has been in love with Michael for years but he didn't notice her until now. Michael can't stay away from his best friend's daughter and after spending time with her he knows that he can't leave without her. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Abby as a great author.

I loved this one. I can so see this kind of thing playing out in real life. The HOA as most do really is a POS. But this couple have a intense chemistry that will have you swooning over the old man. I loved the fact these two both have had feelings for the other for years and it wasn't one sided. But the way they have to fight it is even worse. Dads best friend that is older makes things a bit more complicated. But with what they both want is it possible for them to get their HEA?

So far not my favorite in the series but then again it is only the second book. I'm having a hard time liking some of the sisters, there's 5 of them I believe. Cara has been crushing on her dads best friend Michael since she was 13. Michael sees Cara an is in instant lust without knowing who she is, once he figures it out he tries to help her then push her away. Cara pushes and they become intimate... among other things. Emotions build and their HEA is very sweet.

I loved this second book in Abby’s new series. The second Williams daughter, Cara, finds her future in his dad’s best friend, Michael. For all who crushed on an older man.
I totally felt for Cara, loving Uncle Michael since forever. Especially since her sister married her obsession. I love this family. People say you can't know when you are that young but you most definitely can. Love can trump everything if you are ready to go for it.
