Savage Revenge #2

Bedroom Bully

Rate this book
Rebecca

Joseph Ryker.

My boss. My bully. My addiction.

Everything about him is infuriating, reckless, and intoxicating.

Yet here I am, constantly coming back for more. It’s pathetic I know, but flying this close to the flame is too addictive to stop.

And now my boardroom bully is taking his revenge—to the bedroom

The fact that my heart flutters when he orders me to my knees proves just how much I’m losing my rational mind.

And even though I know this could only end one way, I still want it…

Bedroom Bully is the second book in the Savage Revenge Series from author Harper West. This series features a sexy anti-hero, dominance and plenty of panty melting heat. This series is planned for 3 books.

*** Potential Cliffhanger Warning: Be aware, this book two in a three book series. The series will end in an HEA, but each book may not. ***

Confusing

First this part of the story is basically a confused bit of filler I am not certain how important most of it is to the actual story and they never get near a bedroom, let alone have much more than heavy petting. There are several places the timeline and characters seem to be confused. At first I thought maybe the hacker was messing with her, when her sister tells her to go for it with JoJo,i then she acts like she didn't and never would, then there is the crazy phone call and not calls. I think in part it is about the hacker and perhaps the manipulative sister the confusing parts. Of course JoJo acts strange too one minute he's threatening an office friend of hers then he's acting like he's thinking they are great friends. It was a bit of a boring bit of angsty fluff. The couple essentially has more angry work interactions, but hardly any real sexual interaction really maybe a heavy petting and slightly kinky meeting but it wasn't what the first part was. I would say the heat got turned down.

Torn between 3 and 4 stars

This book was very much an argument in itself which is why I struggled to decide on what star rating to give.

On the one hand it had some fun and flirty moments. It also had some infuriating moments where you just want to bang the two main characters heads together.

JoJo is insufferable. He wants Becca, he doesn’t, he hates her, he doesn’t. Some of his actions are horrible but at the same time he has redeeming moments.

Becca comes across as a bit of a walkover. She’s feisty and angry with JoJo and then putty in his hands moments later. Most enemies to lovers books make them work for it and whilst Becca says she will she doesn’t.

Although we are given snippets of information and hints at what relationships are like its still no real explanation for why JoJo wants to destroy Becca

Okay ish

I loved first one, the characters, plot, and twists. The second book wrongly named Bedroom Bully, without giving anything away.. I waited months for this book to be left with a feeling of why couldn't some of the plot have been foreshadowed more prevalent. I have loved Harper's books, I just was left feeling unsatisfied in more than one way. Besides wasting a few hours.

Grrrrrr

I so totally hate books that string you along. This wasn't about the two main people! , just mostly her and the office girls. Talking and going out and then a second man she starts dating. Really frustrated with this and frankly not sure if I'm going to look for book three . This one wasn't up to the first one standard and the first one was just ok should have been one book and done but noooo typical writers pushing for more money for one story line ...pitiful...💀

3.5 stars

I was going to give it 3 stars, even though I was proud of Rebecca standing her ground against Joseph and finally her family. However it lost points when she so was busy trying to find out the truth about what happened to her sister Maggie, but yet she wanted to know if she and Joseph were ina relationship. However it earn a couple points towards the end. Can't wait to read the finale.

Wow!

The author really twists you up with this story. I didn't realize where this story was going until I read book two. Omg!! It is so dark in places and yet you can see a light at the end sometimes. I am amazed at how well the author can drag you down into the story and then she gives you a quick breath of air only to do it again. Excellent story and I can't wait to see how it all ends.

Bedroom Bully NOT!!!

I would love to know, came up with the title of this book it must’ve been an editor that wanted to make this book look like something it wasn’t. I have read the first two books in miles and have not been impressed at all. They are definitely not in the same vein as some of Harper Wests other books. I am going to read the beginning of the third of the series and if it turns out to be Nothing I won’t be reading any more of her books.

Confusing
This book made me think if the writer knew how to write a book. There was story lines that never had ends I thought maybe in book 3 that it would tell the end, but you never discussed what happened from book 2 to make the ending. Book 3 was just as bad, if not worse. It was like reading a children's book in adult form.
Should go back and read books 2 & 3. Confusing and BAD!

Drama, drama, drama. This is possibly the most dysfunctional, codependent, and downright abusive couple I have ever seen. Romantic? Absolutely not. But like any particularly juicy episode of Dr. Phil, I cannot stop turning the pages to see what happens next. It's so good. Also, I wish there was more sex. But that's just me. Onward to book 3.

not so spicy

There are a few spicy moments but there are also a lot of moments that could have been more than what the author gave.
Not to mention the title of Book 2 is Bedroom Bully… never do they even make it to a bedroom. There is literally one part where anything “romantic” or “sexual” happens.

Cliff hanger

Another cliff hanger, and they still haven't had sex. This is the first were I'm two books into the series and no ones having sex.

One second Brit is married to Mack, the next second she is supposedly pining over MC and very much single and mingling.

Also why she never cuts off Brit is beyond me.

The Savage Revenge trilogy includes Boardroom Bully, Bedroom Bully, and Backroom Bully by Harper West. This trilogy is an office bully romance, and it definitely was a slow burn for me.

Rebecca "Becca" Loren got hired at TechGiants as an accountant that paid very well. On her first day, she is shocked and surprised that her new boss is the man who bullied her in high school and dated her sister Maggie, Joseph "Jojo" Ryker. Maggie and Josephs's relationship ended badly. Joseph wants revenge and plans to take it out on poor Becca. Joseph treats Becca like dirt. This poor girl can take some punches. Becca starts to have feelings for Joseph and allows him to degrade and torment her so she can get closer to him. Things begin to change after Becca is almost assaulted by her other male co-worker in the parking lot.

This book ends on a cliffhanger!!
