Ruthless Royals #1

Ruthless Crown

Rate this book
Their names are whispers in the hallways.
Hunter, Ash, Ledger, and Samson.
The Kings.

Four of the most beautiful men I’ve ever seen, with cruel agendas and an even crueler reign over Ravenwood Academy.

Wreaking havoc in our small, New England town, no one asks questions.
For the most part, people ignore or avoid them.
After all, they’re royalty here.

Because one of them—the cruelest one—is the headmaster’s son.
And my new stepbrother.

They can try to torment me.
They can try to break me.
But they have no idea what I’ve endured.

They’re used to getting whatever their ruthless, little hearts desire.
Maybe I should keep my mouth shut.
Maybe I should let them win.

But I’m not afraid of getting my hands dirty.
Lord knows I’m used to it by now.

My name is Briar Monroe, and these Kings are about to find out just how fucked up this Queen can be.

Ruthless Crown is full-length high-school bully reverse harem romance. It is book one of the Ruthless Royals duet, and while it doesn’t end with a true cliffhanger, there are unanswered questions. Book two will be releasing in a month. It is advised to read them in order. *Please note Ruthless Crown contains explicit language, bullying, and flashbacks of abuse/trauma. It also features four hot AF guys who would do anything to protect their feisty Queen. The duet will have a HEA.

We used to be the Kings of Ravenwood. I guess I never realized until Briar Monroe showed up that we needed a Queen.

I don't generally read a lot of New Adult RH. But when I saw the blurb to this book, I knew I'd be changing that.

This being my first book by this author, I didn't go into the story with any expectations. What I definitely didn't expect was to binge read this in one sitting. But binge read it I did.
People are still terrified of the Kings, but I’m about to pull a checkmate. Hunter, Ash, Ledger, and Samson are about to witness how this Queen attacks—slow, premeditated, and lethal.

Briar has just moved to a new city after her mom married her stepfather. Suddenly she's thrust in a world of wealth and privilege, attending the prestigious Ravenwood Academy where her stepbrother rules with an iron fist along with his 3 best friends.

Briar may have a dark past but she's no pushover. She's fierce and takes no shit. And when she first arrives, Hunter is determined to drive her out. Public humiliation, bullying, there's no lines there. And this girl? I was so here for it.

Now look, this is a read you have to suspend your disbelief for. There are some plot developments and character developments that could have used a little more fleshing out or just didn't make sense. But did I care? Nope. Because it was also deliciously smutty while also having an addictive plot. There's a bit of suspense with a splash of dark mystery and secrets. Each of the guys have their own unique personalities. You have the sweet quiet one, the tortured bad boy, the tatted one, and the ring leader. So suffice it to say it checked all of the boxes for me. It also happened to be hot as all get out, and I was so here for that too.

Bottom line, is this was an entertaining, guilty pleasure sort of read that I thoroughly enjoyed even while it wasn't perfect. Will I be reading the second one? You're damn right I will. I need more in this world!

I fell into the TikTok hype and was simply unimpressed. There are so many issues with this book, the only reason I finished is because it’s 168 pages so I read it in less than a day.

***SPOILERS***

There were many little things that just didn’t work but some of the biggest were:

- this is not a bully book. They “bully” her for two days with small things like reading her diary and stealing some of her clothes. Then they change their tune and are immediately in love with her.

- she was not the badass she claimed to be. This was definitely a situation of show me, don’t tell me. They all kept talking about how badass she was and she was calling herself a queen within a day. But all she did was swallow roughly when they were near and tell her mom and stepdad on them or threaten to “report” them for their behavior. Where was this badass female they claim she is??

- the insta love was too much. they had known each other for 4-5 days and barely even spoke before they were claiming her as theirs and then 3-4 days later they are taking blood oaths and planning a murder together 🤨

- she was a HORRRIBLE friend to Jack. So he tells her that he previously dated ash and that he really liked him, seems like he still does, and that Ash broke his heart but then she hooks up with Ash that night?!? After leaving Jack at a party at Ash’s house, that he didn’t even want to go to, and taking off with the guys instead of staying with her “friends”. And he’s the first of all of them that she hooks up with? She should’ve never touched Ash without talking to Jack first.

- the timeline got messed up between her past and when her mom got married. Unless the mom started dating and then quickly married someone less than 3 months after her boyfriend raped her daughter and while the criminal proceedings were going on (or less than 3 months after the trial, again the timeline wasn’t clear), how long ago everything happened just didn’t make sense at all.

- ummm also why would a headmaster be on a business trip in Saint Tropez, the week before school starts?? And if they had movers, why did they drive for 3 days from Cali to Mass?

While the premise could have made this a good book, the lack of character development, buildup, or clear connection between her and the guys just left this book lacking.

Let me start off by saying this is not a werewolf romance. You would think by the amount of times the author referred to hunter as an "Alpha." I actually read this book, could you believe it? I was going to dnf multiple times, I've dnfed for less than bordem but it was only 180 pages and I wanted to stick it out, chapters were fairly short too.

Let's start off with her friends.

"Okurr, I can sense that vibe now that you mention it." (She mentions she's from California)

Look nothing wrong with what she said but I already know I would be majorly disappointed in their impending "friendship." It's simply just not a thing people say, and it didn't make me connect with her "friends" I never got friendship vibes. Not to mention, Our heroine does not care for her so called friends until it's convenient for her to have them. I also hope they ditch her ass, she's literally fucking with the group that got their friend killed. No matter how true it is or not, they were heartbroken over it and she knowingly got into a relationship with them, not putting what her friends would think in mind. Don't know how they dealt with her ass, she's a flippy floppy friend. (not saying that her friends's feelings come before her own, but these are the people who were there for her from day one, they opened up to her about Micah's death and she not once thought of them or was very sensitive to how they might feel, or was she broken up about her first friends not talking to her anymore. She doesn't have to wallow in misery but she just didn't care, what was even the point in befriending them.)

The men:

"The more you resist little lamb, the more interesting you are to him."

Ahhh nicknames already? It's five chapters in, but again, chapters are really short and everything that has happened before just doesn't feel right. Not to mention, they say it during sexy times and reading it made me cringe a little. Also why are they just letting their friend causally bully his new stepsister like she ever did something to him? She wasn't even rude to him, he 'bullied her for essentially no reason, and the reason he did give was shitty. Though I say bullying loosely, he did middle school shit, I'm surprised that people payed attention too. (Read her diary where she wrote her sex dream about her and took one of her thongs and brought it to school, made her walk in a bra and panties, nothing too deep, it was just really fucking childish to read about, this just didn't have to have an bully-lovers arc because author didn't utilize it the way she should've. Grateful she at least didn't blur lines between consent like many bully romances have.

"Hunter with his dark mysterious swagger. Ash with his confident arrogance. Ledger with his brooding, bad boy vibes, and Samson the quiet hot nerd."

Talking about walking cliches, not to mention I hate RH men being described like this, just takes out any complexity a character might have and I would just like to mention none of these characters are memorable or complex in any way shape or form. None of their trauma is thoroughly explained or if done at all and trauma do they have.

Hunter-dead mom; dad has brought a whole new family, despise the new family

Ash- dad is abusive and put mom in a mental hospital (um wtf and this was like barely explored)

Ledger- Religious trauma (Which I could relate to but Ledger is barely even brought up)

Samson- honestly i know jack shit about him except he used to date the dead friend of heroine's friend, he's bi and he used to fuck with Ash. He's also the nice one out of everyone. His presence is non-existent, so who knows why he's in the harem.

I also don't like how when the heroes have POV they are incredibly short and add nothing to the story.

Samson "we may be dicks." He says this a few times, it's fucking annoying because who are you trying to convince me or you. "We may be dicks but at least we're safe about it.' (burning down a house) 'we may be dicks but we don't slut shame women' (ash called heroine a slut bc she has a tramp stamp) He so wanted his friend group to be 'decent' guys, they weren't. They were entitled little rich boys with *tramua* so their assholey behavior is excused.

"People misunderstand him."
I almost dnf after reading this. If a person presents themselves as an asshole, a person isn't going to think 'well maybe they're doing this because they has stuff going on in their life, they're misunderstood' fuck no, if you're acting like a dick, I'm going to think your a dick. Fuck whatever else is going on in your life. The whole misunderstood anti-hero arc isn't working when you call them out on being misunderstood, you know? Take the den of vipers men, they're 'missunderstood' but you get that through reading it, not the book explicitly telling you.

"Ash came second. As the Mayor's son, his position as Hunter's beta formed naturally."

See what I said about the werewolf thing? Yeah, what the fuck is that about?

Other things that bothered me:

Heroine getting mad that Hunter said that she can't go to his room to watch tv (he has a flatscreen) She actually gets mad that he installed a flat screen into her room. Granted it was in an annoying place, but she could've moved it! She legit got mad that he gave her a flatscreen.

Plot:
Too many plot points, not enough being solved.

-Look Brair and Hunter being step-siblings is fucking good. Think of the drama it would've caused. Parent's don't even know in the end :(

- Ash and his father!! that whole damn story line! It was brought into too late and just seemed like the author needed something else to add in because the story really wasn't going anywhere.

- Heroine's rapist breaking out a jail. Come on now... where did this come from. I just think this is stupid because the other plot points are way more interesting. I highly doubt they'll be running after her rapist the whole second book.

"You are the queen of Ravenwod."

Er am I mistaken or is this a fantasy book by any chance? Nope. She is the queen of nothing (pun intended) no but fr come on now! This school put these little rich white boys on a pedestal and this one girl who says 'hey fuck you! you're a bully' is now their queen bc she's not going to sit there and get bullied? Not to mention that 'queen' shit definitely goes to her head by the end of the book. I was frustrated reading all about how she's their queen. They aren't even good anti-hero's. They're surface level.

- her therapist fucking told her to fuck her stepbrother under the guise of "listen to your body" no fucking way is a therapist is saying this to a patient.

- "Your not like other girls Brair" I promise you, she definitely is.

-"For some reason his rejection hurts... and the only one I want the most doesn't want me back." Look one thing I really look hard for in RH is equal group dynamic where the girl wants each of them equally, which is not the same in this book. Why is this a RH if heroine wants Hunter more? If push came to shove she would choose him over the others.

-"But Hunter? He's traveled the world (which is never talked about). He's a tortured writer. He's witty (he's really not), and arrogant." Just that..

- She mentions she has an IUD a few times, but she never thinks of a condom? Talk about not practicing safe sex..

- That weird fucking blood oath at the end. Maybe if this was a darker RH bully romance, this would've worked but it just wasn't.

I don't think this is a bad book, I really don't. This author defiantly needed to take time to develop the relationship more, I could definitely see this being 3-4 books if everything was more developed smoothly.

The smut in this was DELICIOUS AF (we have a pierced…sword…😏)

Didn’t love some of the stuff in the beginning but this is so bingeable and addictive. Interested to see where the next one concludes as it ends with a great dynamic between them all. Also, heading toward poly vs RH.

Plus…Samson, yes.

Underwhelmed 2.5 stars

A bully reverse harem romance with the usual themes. Briar’s mom marries the headmaster of her new school her stepbrother and his friends attend. He bullies her a bit, resentful, but secretly likes her as do all the guys. Usual characters and personality types, from the dark-heard bad boy (her stepbrother) to the studious, kinder, nerdy, glasses-wearing guy. No surprise there was a bit of MM, but the cliche of it. Why?

Great pace, easy to follow, but not especially novel or much complexity in the plot. May be a consideration if new to RH, bully romances with not too much bullying and a bit of steam that is not dark. Just not the story for me. It was like reading a hodgepodge of storylines I’ve come across in other books. Typical and predictable.

So underdeveloped. They hated her and then switched to loving her on a dime? Nope. No chemistry either. Whole lot of nothing. The guys have a reputation but they aren’t that. I just want them to be unapologetically bad.

This was beyond ....just really every cliché scene you could think of.
At first I thought it was an over the top parody of this particular bully romance genre....and I spent most of the time in awe of how silly this all was.

Then the first intimate scene between her and Hunter she says *I want to see you explode*....then they talk about IUD all my mind kept going to was explode and IED not IUD so even those scenes were not good for me

That was the last straw for me...just no

The writing itself was also not very good as the book read like a movie script no emotion just waiting for the actors to add to it and bring it to life.

TW All types of trauma was mentioned here in this book.and in my opinion not handled well and I refused to take it seriously and dishonor victims

GENRE/TROPES: NA, RH, MMFMM
POV: 1st, Multiple
SERIES: Ruthless Royals, Book 1
STEAM LEVEL: 🔥🔥🔥

A girl with a traumatic past meets her new stepbrother and his three friends who bully her at first until they discover her truths and then they vow to protect her.

{ 𝒲𝑒 𝓊𝓈𝑒𝒹 𝓉𝑜 𝒷𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒦𝒾𝓃𝑔𝓈 𝑜𝒻 𝑅𝒶𝓋𝑒𝓃𝓌𝑜𝑜𝒹. 𝐼 𝑔𝓊𝑒𝓈𝓈 𝐼 𝓃𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓁𝒾𝓏𝑒𝒹 𝓊𝓃𝓉𝒾𝓁 𝐵𝓇𝒾𝒶𝓇 𝑀𝑜𝓃𝓇𝑜𝑒 𝓈𝒽𝑜𝓌𝑒𝒹 𝓊𝓅 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝓌𝑒 𝓃𝑒𝑒𝒹𝑒𝒹 𝒶 𝒬𝓊𝑒𝑒𝓃. }

Full of some crazy, sexy scenes including some MM action. The relationships developed kind of fast and a bit abruptly but I’m hoping to see more depth in the second book. It seemed like everyone had slept with everyone else at some point or another based on casual conversations, so that was a bit odd. And considering the FMC’s past, her acceptance of the sexual advances seemed a bit easy.

But all the guys had distinct personalities and while some of the banter was a bit cliche, good lawd there was some fantastic lines…

{ 𝐵𝓊𝓉 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓂𝒶𝓀𝑒 𝓂𝑒 𝓌𝒾𝓁𝒹. 𝐹𝑒𝓇𝒶𝓁. }

{ 𝐻𝑜𝓁𝓎 𝒻𝓊𝒸𝓀. 𝒴𝑜𝓊 𝒸𝒶𝓂𝑒 𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝓂𝑒, 𝓁𝒾𝓉𝓉𝓁𝑒 𝓁𝒶𝓂𝒷. }

I’m definitely eager for the next part of this series to see what happens when the past shows up in town! I’m looking for more character development and tying up all those loose ends!

Let me first start with saying how much I appreciate this author and this opportunity I had to read a book before it's release. I am so honored and thankful for it. It's my first book from her and I just fell in love with her writing. I love reverse harem, I'm obsessed with those kind of books, and this book most certainly didn't disappoint me.

I love chemistry and passion between Briar and her 4 Kings. It's a love story so magical that my heart skipped every time I read those pages filled with them.

There is a painful past, which I love. There is a love/hate relationship, which I adore. There is most certainly forbidden romance, and I'm all for that. But most important of all there is a passion and sex, and I live for that. This book simply has it all, and I'm not surprised that I read it over night.

Now I will passionately wait for the last book, to see the end of this beautiful story.

I think I figured out that this book should have been an “outline” to build upon but someone said “fuck it” and published it anyway.

ADD authoring and story building without giving a shit and no editing or plot building behind it.

Even in the “present” day scenes, everything is super rushed, no kind of explanation behind actions, dismissing psychological trauma like it was seasonal allergies, just…. I have no words how irritating I found this.

I have ADD and my meds have worn out hours ago, which in theory could push me in more favor to this book’s advantage…. But it’s not helping.

I just don’t get the appeal of this book in regards to positive reviews. There doesn’t seem to be a point. It’s too predictable and with unintelligent and uninspired characters…. And with the most generic overdone plot that could have been SO much better… GRR!!! I don’t like admitting defeat!!!

I’m aggravated that I dislike this book SO much that I’m going to return the second in the duo and leave this shit show behind. I dislike not finishing what I started, but I don’t think I care enough to even look at GR reviews spoilers.

This was an undeveloped hot mess. I kept picking this up and putting this down due to the repetition strain I was giving myself from rolling my eyes so much.

It felt like I’d skipped entire chapters at times the pacing and character/plot development left me feeling disoriented.

She was not like other girls, they were misunderstood high school ‘bullies’ with ✨trauma✨ - so of course they would all die for each other after 10 days.

One day I will learn to skip high school RH bully romances.

Spoiler free review:
This book was exactly what I was looking for. I've gotten into slump recently and needed a book that was more smut than plot. All I wanted was steamy smut out of this and well it definitely delivered! I even like the guys, especially a few chapters into the book when they become caring and much nicer than they were at the beginning. I know this is a bully romance but this is the first book I've read in this category and I didn't really love that aspect a whole lot. The writing isn't exactly stellar either and the plot progresses quite quickly, but considering it's exactly what I signed up for, I really enjoyed this one!

Overall I did enjoy these characters & getting to see exactly where the plot was going. With Briar struggling to move on from the trauma of her past in California & moving in with her new stepfather and stepbrother in Greythorne… there’s a lot to unpack. She doesn’t expect Hunter, her new stepbrother, and his cray 3 best friends to cause issues for her at school. With her desire to run under the radar, graduate & hopefully move on with her life, the last thing she wants is the attention of “The Kings”. At first, I really saw potential and loved where this was going. When we get introduced to Ledger, Ash & Sampson I was super pumped for each of them to get their limelight. However, I will say the dynamic of this RH was not exactly what I was expecting & I didn’t completely love it (there are MMF & MM relations in this book). I think for me the dynamic of their relationships was just a bit confusing & under developed. The “bullying” wasn’t really major & didn’t last more then a few instances at the beginning. It was more of them acting out & fighting an attraction they couldn’t quite grasp as a group yet. Briar’s trauma & the plot that involves her past I really did enjoy. I also liked getting to understand the past of each of the other boys as well. I did feel like the relationship building was a little rushed, it felt like I blinked & all the sudden everyone was hot for each other. They’re also was not real buildup to them becoming an RH unit, it was like always a thing for the guys in their heads I guess? I don’t know that part for me was a bit confusing. Even with all that I did enjoy these boys & Briar. Im intrigued for book 2 & to see exactly how everything plays out with them!

2.5☆s

I feel my chest constrict at the thought—at how they started as my worst nightmare but will ultimately be my saving grace. My worst enemies will become my biggest support system.

I honestly don't even know how to react to this book. It's the first in a reverse harem bully romance duology following 18-year-old Briar as she moves from California to the East Coast to live with her new step-father. She is still dealing with the aftermath of a sexual assault that has her traumatized, so when her new step-brother and his three best friends turn out to be the biggest bullies in school, she decides she has no choice but to stand up to them and fight back. But there's something about the darkness in their hearts that calls out to the darkness in hers and she soon wonders if what she feels for them is hate or lust.

This novel was kind of a mess, but the kind you can't seem to look away from. We have cringey dialogue, inner monologues that make no sense, and realizations that forget to fact check themselves. Briar realizes, at one point, that the boys are not bullies and she has never seen them mistreat anyone ... except they did bully her ... and something happened between them and a student named Micah that resulted in his suicide ... and Jack had his own story he didn't feel comfortable sharing the details of ... and Scarlett had reason to fear that Ash would get her parents' cafe shut down if she crossed him.

Ultimately, I found the relationships underdeveloped, the steamy scenes rather anticlimactic, and the whole situation more strange than sexy. (And I really enjoyed Credence, so that's saying something.) With the abrupt ending and the total lack of understandable motivations for any of the characters - especially the big bad introduced at the end of the story - I do not plan to continue on with the sequel.

There is better smut out there and I would rather read that.

So this book is HOT, HOT, HOT!!!! You have Ash, Hunter, Samson and Ledger are the Kings.. kids fear them, no thanks to the rumors that are flying around school. Deep down though and maybe its thanks to Briar, but there's more to them then you think. Each character gets their point of view in this book and I honestly loved it. It added so much more to the story! Briar and her mom are trying to heal from the past and move on.. Briar has fire in her and she isn't afraid to let people know it. Despite what she hears from her new friends, she still is drawn to the foursome.. She enters into their web and in turn, finds something that most people only dream about.. These 4 guys have all chemistry with her and it is off the charts HOT!!! It goes deeper then just their dirty times, and boy are their a lot of those!! She becomes their Queen and in turn they protect her from her past. This book was so much more then I expected and i seriously can't wait to read book 2!! The foursome will definitely have their hands full with everything that will be thrown their way! It's hard to have a favorite character in this book because each one brings their own individual feelings into the book. You fall for all of them equally or at least I did. It will get a tricky with Briar and Hunter though and I'm dying to see how that all plays out!!

This book had pulled me in from page one. I had a terrible time putting it down. As I read I fell deeper into the world of Briar and the kings of Ravenwood. I felt everything she felt and it took me on the journey right along with her.

I was a bit tossed up with a few spots where the names of the characters got mixed up and the parents reversed, but I made it through those moments. Mistakes happen and it didn't effect the book for me because the story was soo worth those few mistakes.

I will warn though it has a major cliff hanger that had me wanting more immediately. I'm glad that book two will be out in Sept and I don't have too long to wait.

But overall a really great read and I would hands down recommend this to others.

Steam: 4/5. Strong Language: 4/5. Triggers: Violence, Bullying, Assault, Child Abuse, Drug & Alcohol Abuse, Off page Sexual Assault, Domestic Abuse, Suicide

The first book in the Ruthless Royal duet. This is a Bullying, Reverse Harem romance.

Briar is a senior in high school. She and her mother arrive in Greythorne after her Mom marries the Principal of the elite Prep school there, Ravenwood Academy. This provides them with a fresh start, something they both need, after Briar was assaulted by her mother's ex. She's spent nine months dealing with the trial and in therapy and wants to move on with her life.

Also in the house, is Hunter another senior at Ravenwood, and her new stepbother. He and his 3 best friends, Ash, Ledger, and Samson, rule the school with an iron fist. Their new target? Briar. It's the equivalent of pulling her pigtails on the playground only more malicious. Briar has already been through Hell so she comes out swinging and the Kings fall to a Queen.

Unfortunately, her past catches up to her. The guys face problems closer to home.

Great writing. Fantastic characters. FMC who is not a doormat.

5 ⭐ I loved it. I’ll revisit it like an old friend. This book is moving right into my favorites category. I would recommend it to everyone, even people that don’t ask. I’ll one click this author’s work in the future.
4 ⭐ A great read. I’ll probably reread again when feeling nostalgic. It was enjoyable, not portable magic. I would recommend it.
3 ⭐ I liked it. It was a nice way to pass the time. I doubt I’ll reread it. I’d recommend it to someone asking for a specific genre. Thanks for the memories.
2 ⭐ I completed the Herculean task of finishing this book. At times, it felt like I was Prometheus and the suffering would never end. It just wasn’t for me but I applaud the author for their effort.
1 ⭐ I couldn’t finish this book or I wish I hadn't finished. How do I put this? It’s not me, it’s you.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Their names are whispers in the hallways. Hunter, Ash, Ledger and Samson. The Kings. Four of the most beautiful men I've ever see, with cruel agendas and an even crueler reign over Ravenwood Academy. Wrecking havoc in our small, New England town, no one asks questions. For the most part people ignore or avoid them. After all, they are royalty here. Because one of them-the cruelest one-is the headmaster's son. And my new stepbrother. They can try to torment me. They can try to break me. But they have no idea what I've endured. They're used to getting whatever their ruthless, little hearts desire. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut. Maybe I should let them win. But I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty. Lord knows I'm use to it by now. My name is Briar Monroe, and these Kings are about to find out just how messed up this Queen can be.

This is a dark bully romance that contains some things that might be triggers for some people. You need to read the warnings and heed them. I should also tell you this is the first book in a duet and while I would not call the ending a cliffhanger it sure did leave me with about a million and one questions. Did I also say besides a bully romance this is a reverse-harem book. Oops I forgot to say that. I am not sure how to review this book because I do not want to give anything away. Here you will meet Briar and her four kings and let me tell you know that they all have some serious chemistry between them. But there are also some really hard times as there is some really rough things in some of the characters past. I so desperately wanted to see Briar move from the trauma of her past. She has moved into her stepfathers home in California and there she will stay with her step brother and you will know him well reading this book. But he also has three crazy best friends and they rule the roost of Greythorne. Briar just wants to stay under the radar and finish school but that is not going tot happen if The Kings have anything to do with it. And I must sadly say that while I expected a lot when you hear bully romance the bully part is not really that long in the book and that was ok with me because I thought the rest of the story was absolutely amazing.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and the first book in the series Ruthless Royals #1 and once I started it I couldn't put it down its amazing and i'm glad that I've found another great author to read.

This book is a reverse harem romance book and Hunter, Ash, Samson and Ledger and the kings around town. Now that Briar is here she is about to shake everything up here at Ravenwood Academy

Without giving to much away Briar has been through so so much and her and her mother rare about to have a fresh start and what Briar didn't bank on what these guys that are about to show her a new way of feeling and a new way of living good and bad. These guys all vow to protect this beautiful woman
that has come in and shuck up there lives and they will do anything to make sure she is safe.

I really loved how this author written this book and this story is great and I cant wait to read the second book. I loved the chemistry that these characters have and they way that this author brings them to life on the page is amazing and I really like her style of writing and I love how each of these characters are different in there own way.
This book is a kind of softly dark bully romance as it is only a tad at the beginning, reverse harem, stepbrother/ step sister romance and I cant wait until the next instalment is released and I highly recommend this book duet is a must read.

Boy talk about off to a fantastic start in this book. I couldn't put it down once I got started. This is by a new arthur for me and it's not going to be my last. I love when I find new arthur's, but my tbr doesn't lol. I've been on a RH kick for awhile now and each book I find I fall more in love with this genre. After reading this I can't get enough of Briar and her King's Hunter, Ash, Ledger and Samson.
She's just moved from Cali to a small New England town after her mom got married, so now she has a new stepfather and a stepbrother who happens to be Hunter who btw is not happy about this when he gets a look at her ha boy you deny it all you want😂. I loved Briar's spunky attitude she'd been through some thing's and one thing she's had ro learn was not to back down and the King's who everyone at her new school Ravenwood Academy bow down to soon find out she's different and don't know how to deal with her ha leave it to a girl to be the spoke in their wheel and holy moley talk about some hot af smexy times dear lord you'll need a drink and a cigarette after reading that hot tub scene💦🤤🥵🥵
You need ro read this book and find out for yourself. Ugh now I have to wait for Bk2 I kinda need that like stat.

True rating: 3.75

This was a teensy bit too instalove for me. Not quite because there's no actual declarations of love between the characters, but it felt like the relationship progressed really fast and that I saw very little of it developing. This is just a minor thing because I still really enjoyed this book, as evident by the fact that it almost got 4 stars from me.

The Queen takes the Kings down a peg or two!

Despite this being a bully romance, it didn’t really last that long and there weren’t a lot of bullying before they managed to let out all that anger… through another outlet. This is a fast burn romance where there’s a lot of steamy scenes, with just the right amount of plot. Expect to get to touch what haunts our main characters, and what about their backgrounds made them the way they are.

I’m hoping for a little more action in the next and final book, rather than more steamy scenes but I honestly can’t complain that much because they were all very hot. I liked the addition of Samson in the harem and how he gives some sort of balance with the alphaholes and I wish I can know about him more. I need a lot of answers and I can’t wait for the next book!

Rating this purely based on its own category/genre—erotic smutty romance. The spice was 😳🥵🔥!

Essentially Gilmore girls, meet dark academia thriller, meets a harem of hot dudes…

Is this an excellent piece of literature? ABSOLUTELY not.

Is one of the spiciest think I’ve read in a record sub 3 hours? YES.

Will I read the second book? ABSOLUTELY.
