Two people who aren't looking for love will find it in the most unexpected place in this sweet and steamy debut romance by author duo Kayla Nicole.WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A NEW MANNY MOVES IN?
Georgia Quinn is the CEO and founder of Wo+Mama, a Fortune 500 company, but more importantly, the single-mom to a 5-year-old firecracker, Savannah. When her troublesome ex-husband, Thad, hires a Manny to live in with Georgia and their daughter, it’s hard not to fall in love with the new man in their lives.
Callum Reid has always wanted to be a teacher, much to the chagrin of his wealthy parents. When he refuses the path that his family has set out for him, he quickly finds himself disinherited, dumped by his girlfriend, and forced to drop out of college. With his future in his own hands, Cal relies on childcare jobs to earn the money he needs to get back to school and finish his degree. When Thad offers Callum a golden Manny position, he can’t say no to the hefty paycheck. But some things are too good to be true, and the job comes with an added caveat. Cal must become Thad's inside man and help him with his plan to win Georgia back.
Will Cal be able to fulfill his contract with Thad, or will his own heart get in the way?
Georgia Quinn has a good life — a thriving business, a beautiful daughter, close friends — but she also has a problem: an ex-husband who’s currently trying to control her life by insisting he hire a manny for their daughter, Savannah. Sure, fine, whatever. As long as Callum’s good and Savannah loves him, she’ll let Thad the Cad have this one.
Turns out he’s better than good, and Gia can’t help but appreciate the way he takes care of her daughter — or the way he fills out a t-shirt.
I loved the way Callum cared for Savvy, how he’d do anything for her. I loved how the story showed Gia coming into herself and healing after a failed marriage. And I loved how Cal & Gia became the people they needed to be on their own before coming together and how they fought for each other.
If you’re looking for a steamy sweet romance, a tantalizing slow burn, and an HEA — all with an adorable kid — look no further!
I was captivated by Callum's unwavering care for Savvy and his willingness to go to any lengths for her. Watching Savvy gradually open up to Callum right from the start was heartwarming. The narrative beautifully portrays Gia's journey of self-discovery and healing following her divorce. What really resonated with me was seeing Cal and Gia evolve individually, becoming the best versions of themselves before reuniting, and witnessing their mutual determination to fight for each other's happiness.
Want a book that gives you the warm fuzzies, a few laughs and some serious frustration? Look no farther! This book has a set up you see a mile away but watching the whole thing unfold is still so enjoyable. Incredibly predictable but thoroughly enjoyable. The cast of characters was awesome and has a fun filled HEA. Totally a book to enjoy when you don’t wanna think about it and just fall into the cute aspect.
I initially was hesitant to read this book because the plot sounded pretty stupid to be honest but I just read it because I love the idea of a male nanny. My initial reaction was correct and that I would not enjoy this book. The two main characters were really lovely. I even loved Savy and thought she was a sweet little girl. I also appreciated that Thad was a good dad despite his more lackluster qualities. I just could not get over the main plot of the story. I have an insanely hard time imagining a man is going to hire another good looking man who is competent with kids to work for his ex-wife and in hope that that man can help get her back for him. Just seems so stupid and far-fetched. I did like the end and how she ended up pregnant. So it's obvious I liked parts of this but one thing I just couldn't get over is that they both dated other people when they were into each other. Especially the fact that they heroin dated someone for a while and was letting that person into the home to interact with her daughter. And it took them up until 70% of the book to finally get together. It was just pretty frustrating.

2.5 ⭐️ Quick light romance read. Cheesy and sweet with a HEA. Started off with a great slow burn but unfortunately there were too many time jumps so it didn't land the way I thought it would hence the lower rating. I'd have loved to see this book and the characters developed more, maybe a bit longer of a read as well. I have to say I loved Savvy and her bond with Cal, I just wish we could have seen it progress more naturally as with Cal and Georgia rather than keep having huge time chunks, as in my opinion it takes the romantic aspect away and is just a lot of info thrown at you rather than enjoying the read thoroughly.
I've read Kayla Grosse book (Trick Shot) which I adored so I was really hoping I'd love this one too. Unfortunately it was just too underdeveloped and lacked depth however I will still read more from the author and I need to try Nicole Reeves now too!
I felt no real connection from these characters I was not really invested in their relationship at all. It all moved really fast which is fine but for it to be moving as fast as it did and the first time you two are together intimately you guys say you love each other but like a week ago she was dating another guy and had been dating him for two months? I didn't like that.. also for the dad to be such a controlling dick but then just kinda give up and not make as big of a deal about her dating the manny seemed like a lot. I was kinda hoping that they would get back together but that maybe the manny would continue to live separately for a little bit and give them a chance to actually date each other but nope it seemed like they went real balls to the wall with their commitment to each other. Also the way the best friend Luke was portrayed in his dialogue annoyed tf out of me like why was he talking like such a douche?? Guys do not talk like that it felt so cliche and corny. Also Cal had literally nothing to apologize for in that argument Gia was a total bitch to him and she needed to grovel and try to win him back. Cal deserved better.

This book is amazing! I love how it is written by two authors and written from each character. It has a strong women with a smart and sweet child. An ex that does some unthinkable and unforgivable actions, but hopes for the best outcome for him. What he doesn’t know is the best. Ohh the Manny… loving, caring and oh so sexy. I love how he was introduced. How he was thoughtful with the child and steamy with the mom. This is a summer MUST READ!
4.5 ⭐️ Lovely book with a lovely storyline. It was stressing me out the author was using ‘too’ instead of ‘to’ through the book though. Other than that, a cute read with a bit of smut.
I went into this book not expecting to love it. I'd read plenty from Kayla before but wasn't sure if her writing would mesh well with Nicole... Now I'm wondering why they haven't wrote more books together before now 😍.
Dripping with sexual tension and some very steamy spice. Might just need to get myself a Manny if I ever find myself being a single mum 😂
This is a cute quick read that I wanted to enjoy before tackling homework! I think the concept was interesting even if the manny was a little naive. However, everything worked out in the end.
