You will find everything you're looking for in this book! It's an addictive and absorbing story that will keep you reading deep into your sleeping time. This is the 8th book in the series, so it would make sense to read the amazing books that came before it, but you can still read this one first and then go back to read the other ones because you're going to want to know about them too. This book features Emerson and Clay, and to be honest, he's a jerk, but I hoped he'd change before it all ended. Emerson is a strong female character, independent and dynamic, her dialogue is fun and snappy. There are characters that are included that were introduced in previous books in the series and the storyline continues with this one, so the continuity is not lost. The pace of the story is fast, the scenes are wonderfully described, and it feels like you're watching a really cool action-adventure movie in your head. The overall story arc is full of suspense and action and this story does not let you down when it comes to excitement and steam. Even though it's a good-sized book, you won't want to put it down, but you should remember to sleep at some point and come back to finish it the next morning, lol, (note to future self). I am a huge fan of Elizabeth Kelly and her books have always been absolute buys on release day for me. Her writing is always full of great plots, relatable characters, and exciting action. The way she weaves her stories make them stick in your mind and although I read a lot of books every week, hers remain in my head as ones I would re-read on purpose, just for fun.

Rise of the Jaguar is a fun, sexy, and at times suspenseful read. Emerson is a Jaguar shifter who meets Clay (a human teleporter) at a bar. They have instant attraction but Clay is only trying to get close to her because her boss has his brother hostage. After Emerson witnesses her boss kill someone and gets kidnapped by her boss, Clay saves her and teleports her to a cabin. While at the cabin there is a major blizzard, and Emerson starts her heat without her meds. Emerson does not want to hurt Clay but her heat is too strong to resist him. Clay and Emerson form a bond in the cabin and even though they face resistance when they leave the cabin their bond and attraction is too strong to break. This book is a must read and a great addition to The Shifter series.

I've been waiting for this next installment in The Shifter Series and it didn't disappoint.
We all love a bad guy, don't we? And when that bad guy turns out to be a 'not so bad guy', even better. So, coupled with a sassy heroine who, after being saved by the 'bad guy', ends up saving him right back, I was in love!
The author definitely knows how to draw you in and keep you invested in the characters.... and the hot, hot sex scenes keep you glued to the pages too! I'm re-reading it now as I devoured it the first time round and know that I will have missed those nuances that make her stories sooooo addictive and that Elizabeth Kelly is soooo good at including.

This is a fab installment in this series.

I was so glad to read Clay's story! Emerson is so awesome and is such a bad a$$ when needed - the perfect heroine! I really enjoyed this book in the series. Ms. Kelly definitely knows how to weave a story. The depth of feelings that developed when reading this story made the characters come alive. I have re-read this series many times and this book is a definite welcome that pulls all the characters together is the perfect way! Run don't walk to purchase this book - you will definitely not regret it! I would give 10 stars if I could!! :) I received this book as an arc, but my opinions are definitely my own!

Clay captivated me from the beginning!!

As an impulsive Jaguar shifter, Emerson gets caught in the middle of Clay’s recovery plans and quickly loses her heart during the process. But watching a hardened mercenary with the sole goal of rescuing his brother crumble for his vicious kitty is priceless. The chemistry between Clay and Emerson and her sister Kat and Ronin is just explosive. Elizabeth draws you into the depth of the characters emotions and makes you crave more.

WOW. For starters, I am such a sucker for a snappy heroine and Emerson definitely fit that bill! It was so interesting to delve a little into Clay's backstory, who was a real mystery in the other books in this series. Although this is book 8 in the series, you don't need to read the other books to understand what's going on, as the author does a good job explaining the exposition. The two leads had great tension and chemistry, and the plot was exciting.

I' am obsessed with this series Elizabeth Kelly is one of the best shifters authors out there, and just when I think that I have my favorite couple Elizabeth steps up and makes me fall so much more in love with the next couple and this couple honestly didn't disappoint! This book had me up all night trying to finish it because I needed to know more but at the same time not wanting to finish it because It was a really great story if you haven't started this series you really need to.

It’s the latest in a fantastic series and it’s always great to read how the characters previously focused on are getting on. Rise of the Jaguar by Elizabeth Kelly

This is the 8th book in the Shifter Series, and I love this series. The MC is Emerson who happens to be the sister of one of my favorite characters. As a big fan of the series, this was a great story that added more excitement to the Shifter World. I had some giggle moments and laugh-out-loud moments with the character's interactions and visits with the characters we meet before.
There was an extremely exciting storyline, action, and some seriously hot times. I’m pretty sure a person new to the series could dive in and be thirsty to grab the rest. Emerson and Clay had to navigate with each other, their past, the bad guys, family, and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I could not put this down. I’m obsessed with these characters and can’t wait to dive into each book that comes out.
Emerson witness’s her boss kill someone and Clay happens to be searching for his brother, who was kidnapped. Clay jumps in and rescues Emerson just when her boss is going to silence her forever. They must come to terms with their situations and help each other survive. This was sexy and action-packed, and a great addition to the series. I CAN NOT WAIT for more!!

Clay meets Emerson and places a camera on her without her knowledge so he can see her bosses office. When Clay teleports in to rescue his brother, Owen tells Clay to rescue Emerson instead. Emerson has made some impulsive decisions over the years. Clay has a checkered past as a mercenary. Will they both be able to get past their issues to see what they could have together? I love this book. The story is original, the characters are amazing. This is the 8th book in the series. If you love shifters this is a must read.
