A museum mystery might be the perfect way for this former Navy SEAL and single mom to succumb to their desires…
After a career-ending injury, former Navy SEAL Greg Harrison struggles to find his place in society. When his friend offers him a job working private security, he’s uninspired—until he meets his first clients. Mattie Salisbury and her cute daughter, Liza, immediately strike a chord with the tough SEAL, and he’ll do whatever it takes to protect them.
It has nothing to do with the fact Mattie is gorgeous—she needs help, that’s all. The museum she works for is supposedly haunted, and it’s ruining business. Greg is determined to keep things professional—that is, until Mattie tries to kiss him…
What a huge mistake—Mattie must have misread Greg’s signals because when she tries to kiss the hottest man she’s ever seen, it doesn’t go well. At all. But when Greg kisses her, only to apologize for his behavior, she can’t deny there’s an irresistible attraction. But neither of them needs the distraction while trying to solve the mystery of a volatile “ghost”. If only they could keep their hands off each other…
Maybe it’s time to take a chance.
Or maybe the sexy SEAL’s mixed signals are a sign a future with Greg is about as real as the “ghost” haunting her museum.

This is a well written small town romance with strong characters in Greg and Mattie. It's an interesting story with the two working together to find the culprit responsible for the rumors about the museum and the breaking in and vandalizing it. Throw in their hot chemistry and bantering and you have another great book to the series. Loved and recommend reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
this one is not bad but it really is not up to North usual standards. Greg and Matties story is fun and real feeling but the plot and storyline just wasn't there. You figured out who and what before you are even a quarter of the way through the book and then by the time you are halfway you want to move on to the next book

Leslie North has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Mattie and Greg. Mattie is in charge of a small privately-owned museum and she is having trouble with someone breaking into the museum. There is a rumor of it being haunted and this is causing the business to slow down. She hires Team Oracle Security to find out what is going on. Greg was a Navy Seal and he had an injury that ended his military career. His seal buddy Logan has started the Team Oracle Security with his wife Hope and he has gotten in touch with Greg and offered him a job. Greg takes the job on a temp basis. If he and Logan are happy in the end, then he will be hired full-time. When Mattie meets Greg for the first time, she tells him about the history of the museum and about a treasure being hidden there. Things happen and Greg ends up putting in a security system in the museum. Mattie gives the code to the system to all the employees at the museum and Greg gets mad over this. Her friend Carter gets her to invite Greg over for dinner and while he is there, someone tries to break into the museum. Mattie is attracted to Greg and tries to kiss him and he tells her that he is not ready for a relationship. She thinks that she has misread the singles that Greg has been giving her. She is hurt by this but puts on a brave face. They try to go back to a professional relationship but it is hard. After a few days, they give in to the attraction and sleep together. Mattie is working in her office and her daughter is outside playing with her friend Cassie when Mattie hears them scream. She runs outside and sees the gazebo on fire with the girls inside. Greg comes out with wet blankets and goes after the girls. He brings out Liza, Mattie's daughter first and then goes back in for Cassie. While he is getting the girls, he smells gas and when the police come, he tells them about the gas smell. Mattie thinks things are fine between her and Greg until she hears him tell Logan that she is nothing but a client. Again she is hurt by his words. After this, she doesn't speak to him unless it has to do with the case. They each do their own search for the treasure that is supposed to be buried at the museum but they don't find anything. Mattie is in her office rereading the diary that was dropped from the person who broke into the museum and she realized that she may have been thinking about things the wrong way. she goes to speak to Greg and have her read the same thing she just read and then get his take on it. when he still thinks the way they did before, she tells him what she is thinking. They start looking at the [places the family would have been when it was a home. They look and they finally find the treasure. Mattie calls the police and wants them to come and get it so that it will be safe. Before the police get to the museum, they come face to face with the person who has been breaking into the museum. Mattie is so shocked with who it is. This person pulls a gun and points it right at Mattie and tells Greg that if he moves then Mattie will be shot. The shock turns into anger when she thinks about all that this person put her through. She thought this person was her friend. This person wants what they found and after they get it, demands that Mattie goes with them, Mattie reminds Greg about something that Liza had said about what when on at school about strangers. She hoped that Greg got what she was trying to tell him. Greg is so scared that something is going to happen to Mattie and he realized that he cares for her and hopes that he can get another chance with her. Greg had his gun and Mattie asks for it so that she can get answers from this person. She is really mad since this person put her daughter and her daughter's friend in danger. She wants to know why they did it. Will things work out between Mattie and Greg? Can she give him another chance? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

It is possible for an individual to be “wounded” in a variety of ways. A physical injury is certainly a wound that may not only be visible for all to see. It may also impair one’s ability to perform tasks, that before the injury, were easily mastered and even tasks that were performed naturally and without thought, so that the injury’s impairment might change life forever.
For former SEAL, Greg Harrison, he knew personally how an injury could upend one’s life, changing the trajectory of one’s future plans forever. When a right arm injury determined that the 6’4” warrior with chocolate brown eyes and dirty blonde hair was no longer fit to serve, his life was turned upside down, requiring his retirement from the military. And, his unexpected and premature retirement from the career he loved and his forced return home led him to discover the challenges of civilian life, such as revealing that while he and his long-term girlfriend, Marian, were a perfect match when they only spent short periods together when he was on leave, they were not suited for a long-term, day-after-day relationship.
Mattie Salisbury had given her heart freely to her ex-husband Dillion, but his declaration 3 years earlier that he no longer loved her or wanted to spend any more time with her or their then 2-year-old daughter, Liza, wounded the soon-to-be-single mom’s heart in a way she could never have imagined. To help herself adjust to the pain, she decided a fresh start far away from her native California was the answer. So, mom and toddler relocated to near Baltimore, Maryland where the beautiful and vivacious 5’5”, curvy brown eyed woman with dark curly hair had accepted the position in her professional field as the director a local museum located in an 18th century inn, Marley Manor, where she and Liza would live in the Manor’s Carriage House.
But, now, 3 years into Mattie’s management of the historical site, she has become concerned and frightened by unusual “hauntings” and inexplicable damage in the museum—resulting in losing grant money needed to keep the museum open. And, as when the museum’s owner suggests that he could just shut the place down or sell it, Mattie suggests that they explore getting a consultant to evaluate the house for a security system. So, as Mattie gets to know the representative sent by Team Oracle Security, she comes to see that the former SEAL has a kindness and determination in him that makes her want more of the wounded warrior than as a security consultant.

SEAL's Purpose by Leslie North is a second instalment in Team Oracle Security series but can be easily read as a stand alone.
Our heroine is Matty Salisbury, a single mom who works at a small private museum which is (supposedly) haunted by a ghost. The occurrence of ghostly activities leads to Matty hiring a private security firm which sends her a former Navy SEAL Greg Harrison - our alpha man. Greg, due to his injuries, recently lost his job as a SEAL and ended a long term relationship. So when he takes a chance to work in his friend's team he doesn't know what to expect, but it surely is not Matty and her adorable daughter Liza.
I went into this story with exicatmanet - I felt like reading a romance and what better than one with an ex seal, single mom and a mystery in a museum. Well to say I am disappointed with the outcome is to put it lightly.
I picked the book from the Read now shelf on NetGalley, after checking the author (and the book) on Goodreads. There were a lot of 4 and 5 stars reviews and I am wondering if we all read the same book because for the love of books I can't imagine giving this story that many stars. The writing (which was rather told and not felt, basically for the majority of the story) felt flat and the times of repeated things happened way too many times. The characters were okay, I loved Liza (Matty's daughter) but the chemistry between Matty and Greg wasn't delivered properly and therefore wasn't enjoyable for me. The sex scenes were short and awkwardly written so they could easily be skipped (in my opinion). The mystery isn't really a mystery and you can guess who the ghost is from the first mention of the character.
I must say that I had read way better (romance) stories on Wattpad back in the days and I truly hope that this story is a one time mistake (based on the fact that the author has written more than 15 books). That and the fact that I already requested the third instalment in the series is a reason I won't be giving the star rating on this story at the moment.
Thanks to the author Leslie North, publisher Relay Publishing and NetGalley for the free copy.
I loved the main characters in this book! Both Mattie and Greg are relatable characters that easily coax immersion into their story. Both have been let down in the past by their exes and have become wary about relationships and finding love again. Mattie is a young single mom trying to hold onto her home and job after the museum she works at starts losing revenue due to rumours of it being haunted. She hires a security company to help her find out what it is really going at the museum and Greg is the person sent to work with her. Greg, a former SEAL, is still struggling with his return to civilian life as well as the impact of his injury and being unsure of his career options. Mattie and he are both fighting their attraction to each other from the moment they meet, but it proves to be a losing proposition. As they investigate the incidents at the museum, the attraction and their desire for each other becomes impossible to ignore. Unfortunately, their relationship becomes a series of advances and retreats as each deal with their own insecurities and the stress of finding only dead ends in their investigation. The warnings from his boss not to get involved with his client come far too late, but his inner turmoil leads him to keep pushing her away. Will his time at the museum lead to more heartbreak for them both or will it lead to something neither could have expected…a future together?
Little Liza, Mattie’s adorable young daughter, adds plenty of levity to their story. She is quite the charmer and manages to fluster the former SEAL and endear herself to him. I found this book to be a very enjoyable read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
SEAL's Purpose is the second book in the Team Oracle Security series. This story is about Greg Harrison and Mattie Salisbury. Greg had to retire early from the Navy SEAL unit because of an injury to his arm. So he heads home and is not sure what to do, after all he had been serving for years. But he joins up with TOS. Mattie Salisbury is a single mother to a five year old daughter, Liza. Her life has not gone the way she thought it would but she has made the best of things and has rebuilt her life. Three years ago her now ex-husband decided he did not love Mattie anymore. So Mattie decided she needed a fresh start far away from home. She was able to get a position in Baltimore, as the director of Marley Manor, a historical building. But now it seems that the manor may be haunted and Mattie decides they need a security system. Greg is assigned this job and thus he and Mattie meet. There is an instant attraction between them but neither are sure about pursuing the other. But as Mattie and Greg spend time together for a new security system they also get to know each other. What they discover they both very much like and it seems both of the broken hearts can be healed if they are together.
This is a sweet, with some spicy hot, romance. I liked both characters as they were very much suited for each other. I enjoyed this book.

Greg Harrison is a former Seal. Logan and his wife opened up a Security firm made of his former Seals. They wanted to hire Greg. Greg was unsure. His right arm was injured. He had to learn to use his left for everything. They were hired by a museum because they were having problems. It was said to be a ghost. Things are moved and noises were heard. It was getting costly to make repairs. Greg took the job. He was reading the file on Mattie the woman in charge of the museum. He saw her picture and thought she was beautiful. He was shocked when he saw her walking down the steps. Greg had to solve this case. He put cameras up and an alarm system in. He couldn’t help his attraction to Mattie. Mattie the caretaker of the museum lives in the carriage house with her daughter Liza. Liza is a busy five year old. Mattie hopes this case can be solved so she doesn’t have to find a new job. Every one was a suspect. Greg didn’t think he solve this case because things kept happening. His alarm went off and he searched the museum and saw someone sneaking out. This case was getting complicated. A diary was found of the innkeepers daughter. They went through the diary to find clues. The legend is treasure is buried somewhere in the museum or on the property. This book is a who did it. Keeps you guessing. Love this book.

In this book we meet Mattie Salisbury & Greg Harrison. While in the seal's Greg was teamed up with Logan Miller who we met in Seal's Redemption. Greg planned on making the military is life plan that was until he had a career ending injury. Not only did he lose the military but he was a drift in his life and he lost his long time girlfriend. So when his old buddy tells him he started Oracle Security and would he like a job they things he might as well. From the moment Greg sees Mattie's picture he feels something. He knows she is a client which means she is a no go. The more time he spends with her the less he is remembering that though. Mattie needs help and since Oracle was in her price range she hired them. She just never planned on them sending a man who stops her in her tracks. She doesn't know what is going on in the museum but she is sure it isn't ghost. She just needs Greg to help her prove it. What will happen to these two when this job is done is it HEA or thanks for the help?
Another amazing story by this author. These characters give you a bit of a lot of types of books. A little mystery, intrigue, love, and much much more. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
There are no such things as ghosts, all Mattie has to do is prove it but time is running out. Mattie Salisbury and her young daughter had settled in the small town of Westminster thirty five miles from Baltimore, Mattie loved her job being in charge of the museum but her job was being held by a thread, strange things were happening at the museum that were putting visitors off, revenue was down and if Mattie couldn't come up with some answers the museum would be sold.......enter ex navy SEAL Greg Harrison. Greg had been injured in an explosion affecting his right arm, he didn't want the desk job that was offered but a lifeline was thrown to him by Logan a former SEAL buddy. Logan and his wife, Hope, had set up Team Oracle Securities, they wanted ex SEALs on the team and they wanted Greg. Greg's first mission was to find out who was trying to get the museum closed an why, it wasn't helped by the fact that there was instant, off the scale chemistry between him and Mattie, he couldn't get involved with a client no matter how hard it was to stay away from her. The job proved more difficult than Greg anticipated, not helped by the fact that he trusted no one and Maddie trusted everyone. The ending was predictable but it didn't deter from the enjoyment.

This is the second book in the Team Oracle Security series. This story focuses on Greg Harrison, a former SEAL and Mattie Salisbury, a single mother. Greg isn't your rough and tough Navy SEAL but a gentle soul who is struggling to come to terms with his discharge from the unit and his injury to his arm. He joins the team at Oracle where some of his fellow SEALs are already employed. Helping Mattie and her daughter Liza is his first assignment.
Mattie has rebuilt her life after her ex-husband decided he did not love her anymore, and she moved to Baltimore for a fresh start and became the director of an historical building known as Marley Manor. After rumours of hauntings and unexplainable occurrences Mattie admits that she needs help and along comes Greg. The instant attraction between them is undeniable but neither are sure about a relationship beyond friendship. However this doesn't stop Greg from feeling very protective of Maisie and her daughter.
Their budding romance is sweet, with some added spice interwoven with the investigation into Maisie's 'ghost'. Although I guessed the 'ghosts' identify early on it did not deter me from reading on and I enjoyed the slow burn of their relationship and liked the characters very much.

Greg was injured on a mission and discharged from the Navy. His friend from the SEAL’s ( Logan together with his wife Hope) just opened a personal security agency, Team OracleSecurity and offered Greg a job. His first assignment was to protect and help Mattie figure out who was “haunting” the museum she works for. Greg’s girlfriend recently left him and he was also struggling with recovering from his injury that caused him to learn to do things left handed to make up for the damage to his right arm. He was trying to figure out what his life would be like now. Mattie was a single mother of a 5 yr old daughter and took the job at the museum as a fresh start. Together the two work to figure out who’s causing the problems and find the hidden treasure behind it. They are also fighting the instant attraction they feel after both said they weren’t looking for a relationship. This is book 2 in the series but can be read as a stand-alone, book 1 was Logan and Hope’s story and how Team Oracle Security was started. The books each have the mystery, danger and pointless fighting of attraction (because they always get their hea) as well as a few laughs and a couple of serious moments looking back on the SEALs.

More than one purpose at stake for this former SEAL SEAL’s Purpose (Team Oracle Security Book 2) by Leslie North is an entertaining read with an interesting setting and plot. Team Oracle is just getting started and so is Greg’s life after his SEAL Team. Mattie is settling into single parenthood. Both guard their hearts so well, this romance is a serious of fits and starts. With Mattie’s fierce independence and Greg’s struggle to feel a sense of belonging, this couple has their work cut out for them! Mattie’s daughter is a hoot! A very exuberant five year old that adds some much needed levity and realizations too. The plot from the mysterious ‘ghost’ at the museum gives this couple an easy escape when things seem to get too real, involving emotions which then trips their fear factors. The character’s aside, the plot is interesting and a nice element to this romance. Overall, Greg finds purpose through his new job as well as who his new job is for. Mattie helps him realize his purpose in more ways than one and through their relationship, it’s a promising HEA in many ways for Greg, Mattie and Liza too. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily sharing my review.
Wow what a great story Mattie has hired the security team oracle security and Greg is our hot good looking lucky employee to get this job. Only one catch Mattie believes her business is haunted by ghost or maybe just one ghost but she must protect her staff and her daughter, so she decides to hire a security guard or investigator to actually find out what is actually going on with her business. never mind he is hot hot hot, how can she possibly keep her mind on the task when all she does is day dream of how much she wants this guy. And Greg he is having the same thoughts and wondering wow how can I just get one night alone with this pretty lil thing. ok so now we know these two have the hottttssss for each other, but the task is finding this ghost. so we get a cute story no spoilers here and things do get going between these two but then a almost tragedy happens with her daughter and all bets are offf now Greg must track down who is this culprit and why are they trying to destroy Mattie and her business. We do get our happily ever after but it does take a while. good book 5 stars book #2 in our oracle Security series.

Received an Advance Reader Copy in exchange for a fair review A sweet, enjoyable story about finding new goals in life when faced with adversity, “SEAL’s Purpose”, by Leslie North (Relay Publishing), features a former SEAL who is unexpectedly anti-Alpha and shows an often refreshing level of insecurity. I liked that the hero, Greg, has doubts and feels insecure about his options in a phase of transition; by emphasizing this side of his personality the author makes him human and real. And it’s so unusual to have a former Navy SEAL hero with really strong Beta tendencies. I also liked how the author explained Greg’s changes and coping strategies after his injury. Sometimes the level of Greg’s indecision affected doing his job competently and in this case it became a bit annoying. The romance involving two endearing characters was sweet but moved too fast for my taste. The heroine’s daughter was cute but sometimes talked like an older child. The suspense part has a cozy, small-town vibration and weaknesses related to it: both main characters showed sometimes a lack of smartness and plain common sense. I felt that some wording (adorkable, hot stud, bad guy) would be more appropriate in a meta-story context than used by the characters.
Seal’s Purpose is book two of the Team Oracle Security Series. Greg was a Navy Seal injured in the line of duty, no longer able to do his duties as a Seal, having to be retrained and then learn and perfect his non dominant hand due to injuries, along with what he thought was the love of his life walking out, her not being able to deal with it all. So a buddy of his from the Seal’s started Team Oracle Security and finally talked Greg into taking one security case, seeing how it goes, then deciding if he wants to work full time security. His first case is a “Haunted” Museum run by Mattie a beautiful single mom to a five year old daughter Liza. Greg and Mattie both had past relationship issues so they are quick to deny their growing feelings for one another. I felt that the story itself was good, but I at times think it could have maybe moved along a little faster. At times I felt as if the author made five year old Liza actually acting and sounding as if she were a lot older than her five years. Overall I enjoyed the story. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I received an Advance Reader's Copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest thoughts and opinions.
Greg Harrison is a former Navy Seal who injured his arm in the line of duty and was discharged and returns home to find that his girlfriend Marian and himself have nothing in common anymore and they break up. Logan and his wife Hope start up Team Oracle Security (TOS) and when Logan hears Greg is home injured he offers him a job and Greg excepts. His first job is the supposed haunting of the Museum where a very sexy and strong woman Mattie Salisbury works and together they try and figure out what’s going on and to find out who keeps breaking in and what there looking for. Mattie feels the attraction building between them and kisses Logan only to have him turn her down, did she read it all wrong. Logan is so attracted to Mattie and he just adores her daughter Liza but is he ready for another relationship because mixing business with pleasure never works out but Logan kisses her this time and they spend a wonderful night together. Can they work everything out and maybe have a future together or is this a one time thing.

I enjoyed this suspenseful romance. It has great characters, an interesting story, and the right amount of steam. I liked the struggle and the chemistry between main characters Greg and Mattie. They each have their own history and are making a new path for themselves. The suspense was also interesting because the danger is made to look like a haunting but so much more is going on.
When Greg, an ex SEAL takes a security assignment with Team Oracle Security, the last thing he expects is single mom Mattie. Mattie works at a small museum that is experiencing “hauntings” and its putting people in danger. Greg is assigned to keep Mattie safe and find out what’s behind that strange occurrences.
Greg struggles with his feelings for Mattie as well as feeling like he would never be good enough for her. He was injured in combat and it turned his life upside down. Mattie is a strong woman though and is ready for all that life throws at her. It’s not an easy road for these two but it’s a road definitely work reading!!

This is the story of former Navy Seal Greg Harrison and museum director Mattie Salisbury . Greg's Navy career was ended by an injury incurred during his service. Mattie is single mom to five-year-old daughter Liza. Figuring out who is behind break-ins at the museum will be Greg's first trial-basis job for Team Oracle Security. The museum break-ins appear to be ghostly in cause, but security camera footage shows the cause is human. Greg and Mattie need to figure out who is behind the break-ins and what they are after. Greg recently broke up with his girlfriend and is trying to figure out where he fits in, career-wise. Mattie is happy directing the museum. Greg and Mattie are attracted to each other. Will they keep things professional? Will they solve the case before the museum owner closes the museum and sells it? Read the book and find out. It is riveting, and a page-turner, combining romance with mystery.

'SEAL'S Purpose' by Leslie North is the second book in her series Team Oracle Security and tells the story of Greg, a former SEAL, and Mattie, a single mom and museum director. Greg had been medically discharged from the Navy and was feeling a bit unsure of his future when his friend Logan offered him a job at his security company. He meets Mattie when he is hired by the museum to investigate some incidents that have been happening. Though they both feel an attraction, they each have reasons not to act on it.
Ms. North has added a fabulous addition to her series. The chemistry between Mattie and Greg is sizzling and prevalent. Lucy, Mattie's daughter, is a wonderful part of the book, she was some levity to the drama. This story has drama, great dialogue, suspense, action, laughs, and passion. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of mystery with their romance. I can not wait for the next book in the series.

What do you do when everything in your life gets turned upside down? That’s the question facing former-SEAL, Greg, as this book opens. And we watch as he tries desperately to figure out if this new job in private security will provide him the new focus he craves. But that focus just might be something different than he was expecting. Mattie has a vandalism problem, however her only suspect is a ghost. Will she and Greg discover the identity of their phantom burglar before it’s too late? I had so much fun with this little family. Liza was just a precocious charmer. She was probably my favorite person in the whole book. I wasn’t surprised by who the villain turned out to be, though. That was the character I had earmarked from the beginning, but I was so caught up in the push-me/pull-you dynamic between Greg and Mattie that I almost didn’t care. I’m really looking forward to seeing what’s coming next for the team at Oracle Security. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
The second book in this series but can be read as a standalone. Greg was a navy seal but his career got derailed due to an injury. Logan hires him to work in his security company. Greg takes a job as a trial run to see if it will work for him and Logan. Greg isn’t sure he can work in security because ever since his injury he has had a desk job. He is unsure about himself and his future. I really liked Greg’s character as well Mattie’s. Mattie is having problems where she works and lives. It looks like someone is breaking in to the museum and trying to make it look like the museum is haunted. These rumors are making the museum lose business as well as causing property damage and costs to rise. If this isn’t handled the museum would close and Mattie would lose her job and a place to live. So she hires Logan’s company to solve the mystery. Great action, lots of love and kindness, and some twists. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This book brings us former Navy Seal Greg Harrison and single mom Mattie Salisbury and her daughter Liza. Greg was terribly injured while a Seal and had to learn to use his other hand and arm, and went thru many months of physical therapy. Unsure of what he really wanted to do, his Seal buddy Logan offers him a job with Teal Oracle Security, and Greg accepts the assignment on a trial basis. The assignment has to do with Mattie and the museum she runs. The rumor is that the museum is haunted, however, there are things missing, and windows have been broken. The moment they both see each other, they are quite taken with each other. As much as they try to avoid each other, they find it impossible to do. And Mattie's daughter Liza is so precious, it was impossible to know love her. Half way through the book I did know who the culprit was, but it didn't make a difference to me as this was such a good story of finding that "right" person and knowing that they are your forever. I highly recommend this book. I did receive an arc for an honest review.
I really loved this story! Greg’s life turned upside down when he got injured and had to leave the job he loved, being a SEAL, due to being medically discharged. His then partner ended their relationship leaving Greg feeling lost, until his friend Logan offers him a security job. Mattie believes someone is breaking into the museum she works at looking for a hidden treasure, after hiring security for the museum, she tries to find where the treasure may be, along with Greg. There is an undeniable chemistry between the two but with both having been hurt in the past they don’t want to take a chance, until their feelings take over. Mattie confesses her feelings for Greg however he doesn’t respond how she would like, leaving her devastated but determined to move on without him. I loved the characters in this story, with both having been hurt before it was lovely they found each other. A really enjoyable read.

This was a sweet small town military romance. The characters were relatable and realistic. The story was well paced and had a nice touch of mystery.

Greg has returned from war and injured to the point that rehab can't get him back to the shape he needs to continue being a Navy seal. His buddy, Logan, has talked him into working for Team Oracle Security. Mattie is in charge of a small museum that has been having a problem with items being moved at night, things being damaged. Rumors are it is ghosts but whatever the problem is, it is hurting the museum funding and has to stop if the museum is going to be able to stay open.
Mattie and Greg both have baggage but you know going in they won't always remain 100% professional. There is a bit of a mystery to solve as they navigate the ins and outs of a developing relationship. Little Liza was a brilliant bright spot in the story. I wish we could all experience the world through her eyes. I loved her plan to find a best friend and she was quite insightful for her age. Of course there is a HEA at the end. I would not have been happy otherwise.
When Greg Harrison’s career as a Navy SEAL ended, he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. He had to learn to use his left hand for everything. Now he has been offered a job working for Logan and his private security firm. He said he wouldn’t make a decision to accept until he has tried it so his first job is finding out who is making a museum seem haunted. Mattie, who in charge of the museum, lives behind it in the carriage house with her daughter Liza. Mattie is about to lose not only the grant they are seeking but also the museum if she doesn’t find out what is going on as the owner is threatening to sell it. As Greg works at making it more secure, things start to escalate. There was a fire that was no accident and someone trying to get into Mattie’s house. I figured out who was behind it all, see if you can. Good story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
An Investigation For Love - Mattie just wanted to do her job and live a quiet life with her daughter, but the problems that were happening in her workplace was making it difficult for her. Greg was hired to investigate the problems at Mattie’s workplace, but felt like he had been zapped with electricity the first time he laid eyes on Mattie. They both tried to keep it professional whist they investigated the occurrences, but their attraction to each other was too strong, as they spent time together.
Unfortunately, their path to a happy ending doesn’t run smoothly and it took a near fatal tragedy for them to acknowledge that they were meant to be together. Just like the book one, this book will draw you in from the beginning and keep you turning the pages trying to find out who the perpetrator was. This was a really enjoyable story, that is a definite must read.

A SEAL always has a purpose! This is about Greg, Mattie, and Liza. Greg was approached to come to join Tam Oracle Security with his old SEAL teammate Logan and his new wife Hope. Although Greg didn’t think he was ready for such a job, he went in to interview as a courtesy more than anything, but Logan doesn’t take no for an answer and convinced him to give it a try with a trial case and if things didn’t work out then they would part as friends, no hard feelings. He was still skeptical of it until he saw the picture of the woman he would be protecting/working close by, Mattie. Liza was a bonus as she is Mattie’s 5-year old daughter.
The assignment consists of ghosts well sort of but there is action as there is a fire, a little girl crushed as she thinks her “best-friend” project is not taking off as she hopes, and a backstabbing friend! Some parts with Liza are just too funny!

I love this combination of mystery, romance, steamy sex, family, and humor. Greg has his own emotional arc about being fully ready to be a part of Team Oracle, even though he is. Greg also has his own emotional journey over letting a woman into his life. Mattie wants to solve the mystery that is tied in with her job. All secondary characters are well-written and fun. To maintain continuity some characters from other books drop by as well, but in a way that you don't have to have read those books to enjoy this one. The pacing is excellent and the chemistry between Mattie and Greg is yummy! What I enjoy about these series is that each book addresses how the SEAL adjusts to a new life and the love that he finds during this process. This one is particularly touching.
