Club Wyld Doms #3

His to Corrupt: A Club Wyld Novel

Rate this book
The last person in the world I should be fantasizing about is Jackson Dunn. He’s way too old for me, for starters. There’s also the little fact that he’s a partner in the family business and he’s basically been around my entire life. And did I mention that I ran into him at the ultra-exclusive, deliciously depraved Club Wyld? Jackson Dunn is way out of my league. But when things start to fall apart for my family, Jackson steps up for me in a big way. In no time at all he’s the person I’m relying on most. I’ve always considered myself a strong, independent woman—so why do I like it so much when his possessive, dominating side comes out to play? There’s no denying our chemistry, or the way the world seems to fade away when I’m in his arms. But the two of us are playing with fire, and no one is going to be safe when our secret relationship ignites.

Step behind the steel door and meet the men of Club Wyld—demanding, dominant, and oh-so-delicious!

Emma's father is forcing her to spend time with him and his new woman at the family beach house or he will cut her off. She really wants to continue on to grad school so she has no choice but to agree. Her father's business partner and friend will be there also in the beach house next door. Emma and him have been flirting back and forth secretly. They tried to fight their growing attraction but they end up giving in. Will her father try to keep them apart? Can they have a future together?

This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Another great addition to the Club Wyld Dom’s!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Emma, roommate of Harper who we met in the last Club Wyld book is going through it. The usual confident and sexy woman who often looks like she stepped out of a classic movie with her red lipstick, pin curls, and keen sense of style is weighed down by family drama. Her dad decides to trade in her mom for the younger model…only a few years older than Emma herself. To top things off, Daddy’s pissed his daughter doesn’t want to be the “dutiful heiress” and threatens to take away her grad school, her internship - which is golden to her, and so much more if she doesn’t come spend the summer at the beach house with him and his new ((cough)) woman. Jax, Emma’s dad’s business partner and family friend since Emma was young is staying at his beach house too - next door. These two have secretly been crushing on each other for a minute now. Emma always looked at Jax with heart eyes because he was an older, attractive man that every guy had to measure up to, but Jax didn’t become so aware of Emma until her college years. Running into Emma at Club Wyld, that nearly gave the man a heart attack! I loved the denial of attraction and this is wrong, let’s not do this. The thing is, it wasn’t wrong because they were two consenting adults who happened to know each other for a long time. Her dad basically threw them together in his attempt to be present for his new girlfriend and absent for the daughter he demanded stay with him. Jax knew more about Emma than her own father because he was there. He was present, and he cared. I also loved Jax’s backstory, the history of his heritage, and how that denial ends up working in his favor. I really enjoyed this book, because although it was a Club Wyld Dom’s book, Jax wasn’t full on Dom, he was Dom - light or just the right amount and it worked for their relationship.

HEA
Standalone, interconnected characters from book 2, same club as book 1 and book 2

Trigger warnings
Age gap (14 yrs difference)
BD SM club, different scenes described in detail
Spankings
Drugs
Cheating, not by MMC or MFC

Emma's father's best friend and business partner is 14 years older than Emma, and she's always thought he was hot. When she visits the club and runs into him, things get a bit heated. She was there with her friend from book 2 who wanted to help take her mind off the fact the Emma's dad was destroying their family by sleeping with his much younger secretary (the secretary is only a few years older than her) .
Jax is beyond mad at his business partner. Not only did he implode his family, he is treating Emma like an afterthought, someone to control instead of love. Jax fights so hard against his attraction to Emma for a few different reasons, but knowing she's hurt over her father's actions makes him more worried about making her happy than the consequences. He's slowly losing his control where she is concerned. And when it all blows up in their face, plans have to change.

There were a couple of typos, and one glaring issue of impossible (her bitting her palm after he ties her hands behind her back) but the story is otherwise well written. The last two books had plots with a bit of education into the lifestyle and the emotions some feel about the lifestyle, where this one seems to focus more on it being okay to not be as into things as others and that being Submissive is more about giving the Dom control and your trust and less about the kink involved. There are detailed scenes, and scenes that are mentioned that may be triggering, and things get spicy. This is definitely a book for the over 18 adults that are open minded, NOT vanilla fade to black readers.

Emma's father dumped her mother for his much, much younger secretary and since has been manipulating and threatening Emma to choose his side of the divorce. He threatens to sabotage her internship if she doesn't spend the summer at the family beach house. And when Emma agrees, he never bothers to show up. But his business partner, Jax does come out to the beach house. They have been attracted to one another, but especially now that Emma is older and shows her submissive streak. Jax does not approve of Emma's father's behavior towards his wife, romping around with his secretary, and is concerned about his behavior effecting the company. But when he finds out about his threats towards Emma, he takes action. The characters are well written, compelling, and their chemistry is intense. The D/s relationship is interesting and unique to them. I cant wait to read more about the Club Wyld Doms. Violet James has done an outstanding job with this series and best of all, you can read all three books for FREE with KU. Binge today.

Dad’s Best friend to Lovers 🔥❤️🔥

Emma has known Jackson “Jax” her entire life. He is her dad’s business partner and best friend. She has always been crushing on him but she never knew that he returned those same feelings until their summer vacation at the beach. Jax knows wanting Emma is not ideal but he can’t let her go. She is his everything and he is determined to show her how much he means to her. She is intrigued when they bump into each other at Club Wyld because her best friend Harper & Nate are full members. Emma is intrigued but has never been exposed to what lies on the other side of the door. She is interested in learning all of Jax’s wants and needs. She loves giving him control and their love for each other blossoms in all areas. Things are going phenomenal until their relationship is exposed and her Dad threatens to take everything from her and her mother! Emma is torn up inside and so devastated and she doesn’t want to lose Jax! This story is intense and loving. Jax’s commitment and love for Emma radiates off the page! This another great book in this jaw dropping insanely hot series. Happy Reading!!

I will definitely be shouting about this series on my Bookstagram page, because anyone who loved Sara Cate's Salacious Players Club will love the Doms from Club Wyld.
Emma is the best friend roommate of Harper from book 2 , definitely in no way do I see this outspoken feisty sassy girl to be any way submissive but she is for Jackson Dunn. Jackson she has known as her fathers business partner most of her life. Jackson who keeps her company while her Dad abandons her at the beach house for the summer. He certainly sees she isn't the little girl he played vide games with or tossed around in the pool.
Jackson has it bad and he is sooo deliciously possessive and protective when he wants to admit there was no going back.
I love how this authors so the wide spectrum of Dominant /submissive and there is not a one size fit all. Jackson is closer in range to a Pleasure Dom with a side of spanking. I wish thus book had been longer it is closer to a novella length I hope we see more of these couples , they are such terrific characters.

This is the 3rd in a series that's going from strenght to strenght! Most of the story happens outside Club Wyld - in real life, so to speak. Jax and Emma, the daughter of his business partner, are constantly thrown together by circumstance and find themselves attracted to each other against their will - or rather, his will. Emma's been fighting a crush on him for years and when she manages to convince him that the age difference doesn't matter to her, he teaches her everything she was curious about at Club Wyld. I loved the couple, the emotions, the struggle, the way their story played out, really enjoyed the re-appearance of Nate and Harper from the previous book. Excellent addition to a series I will no doubt re-read. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Being forced to spend the summer with her newly-divorced father and his girlfriend he left for her mother, Emma is dreading spending time at their family beach house. The only saving grace is her father’s best friend, Jackson. He’s been a friend of the family for years, and they have a great friendship. Emma had a crush on Jax when she was younger, but wrote it off as a silly infatuation. Jax isn’t too crazy about his best friend’s surprise divorce, or the effect it’s having on Emma. As Jax and Emma spend time together, there seems to be a mutual attraction, but neither is willing to act on it. Until they can’t fight it anymore.

This was quite the hot story. As Jax and Emma get closer, he shows her just what she’s getting into w/him. So, so hot! I love how possessive Jax was of Emma. They had a beautiful, filthy, delicious HEA!

Emma has known Jax for her whole life, he’s a close friend of the family, although she had a crush on him, she though it was just a teenage crush and never thought more of it.
With her father basically blackmailing her to spend time with him and his new girlfriend at their summer house, Emma starts to wonder if it’s more than just a crush and if Jax feels the same way.
Jax knows the thoughts he has about Emma are wrong, she’s his best friend’s daughter and way to young. The more he sees of her the more he knows they are flirting with danger, until neither of them can fight it anymore.
They both know they want each other; they know the chemistry they have is something special Emma’s not sure if it’s just for the summer. When things get complicated one thing Jax knows is that he will do anything to protect the woman his fallen for.

All grown up

Emma is 22, in grad school and her parents are getting divorced. Her dad left her mom for his much younger secretary. Now he's being a bigger jerk and trying to control her with threats to her future. Jax is 14 years older and her dad's best friend but he's mad at her father for what he's done and is doing. This isn't about club wyld, it's about them developing a taboo relationship in which Jax is a dominant. There is mutual attraction and feelings, nothing is coerced. Her dad is horrible and I would have liked to see his reaction to Jax's business decisions as well as his realization of how horrible he's been. There are BDSM elements of spankings, bondage and submission but nothing hard core. They get their HEA.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a high heat story but there is also a real connection between Emma and Jax. She has liked him for some time Jax is a friend and business partner of her father. There might be a difference in their ages but it does not change how great they are together. He gets a lot closer to her after the demands her father makes. They both find their happiness together regardless of anyone else. I think Jax is my favorite out of the Club Wyld Doms. Their story is not one to miss

Fantastic age gap romance between Emma and her Dad's best friend, Jackson. After abandoning Emma's mother for his much younger secretary, Emma's father needs to keep up appearances. He is controlling and manipulates Emma into staying at the family beach house. Jackson has always been attracted to Emma, but because of her Dad, he has stayed away until they find themselves neighbors for the summer. I loved how Jackson was there for Emma every time her family let her down or used her for their own needs. The inner struggle they had because of their age difference and family dynamics was just the right amount of angst. Their relationship was steamy and what was right for them.

Family Affairs

Jackson Dunn. Businessman. Partner.
Emma Stahl. Friend. Daughter.

Emma’s father does the unthinkable and shatters her family. Jackson is a long time friend and business partner of her father. Her father demands she spends the summer at their beach house, but fails to be there himself. Instead, he puts Jackson in charge of their business down there. Spending time together causes feelings to surface for Jackson and Emma, feelings that they act upon. Although there is a 14 year difference between them, they connect on every level. As with most books, drama unfolds and they part ways. This is the 3rd boom in the series and I have enjoyed them all.

The 1st book was the best. This is OK.

This book, while fine as a stand alone, is written a bit too much like the 2nd book in this series. Super predictable and quite identical even in some places.
The epilogues are lacking on all three books to be honest. It would have been so much nicer to have a real glimpse of their future lives together instead of a just few weeks or months into the future especially since these books are so short to begin with.
The length of the books in this series is another sore spot for me but that's probably just because I personally prefer longer, more fleshed out novels.

This Club Wyld series is awesome! This particular story with Emma and Jackson is very emotional and nails a lot of issues people face in the real world, but can love really conquer all? Emma's father is a two faced weasel and stirs feelings of outrage, he and his actions are toxic. But, the romance and passion Emma finds with Jackson is off the charts! The book is definitely a page turner and worth staying up till 4am to finish.

Jax and Emma's story was perfect. Emma is having a difficult time and has always had feelings for Jax. Jax has always been there for Emma and would do anything for her she's his business partner's daughter. When he comes across Emma at Club Wyld he gets her out of there and struggles with realizing his Emma isn't a little girl anymore and that he's attracted to her. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone with spoilers. I will say that you definitely want to read this book it sizzles!

love the different levels this series has

While I am all for a great bdsm book, I love it more when an author takes it further and gives the book depth. This series has been incredible. I also love that the author takes time to showcase all the different levels of the lifestyle.

This book shows that not everything has to be whip and chains and complete obedience. The love story is so sweet and I love watching each story show different aspects and desires of what this world can be.

MF, age gap, father's business partner.

F saw M at club when she was there with her BFF. (F of #2)

Later, her dad left her mom for his much younger secretary. Whole family is pissed at him and goes NC.

Dad blackmails her to "spend the summer" with him and new GF at his beach house. He says he'll withhold college $$. She agrees. Dad rarely shows up.

Business partner has house next door. They hang out, eventually hook up.

I'm just really invested in all things taboo these days. Fathers best friend romance. It was really good and I really enjoyed it. Only negative was when they constantly bring up the fact that she grew up around him so he knew her when she was only 7. I'm not sure how you come back from that kind of relationship but oh boy they did.

trust is key

Ms. Violet James has once again shown the truer side to the BDSM lifestyle. Trust is key. Miscommunications lead to turmoil. This book is about trusting somebody with everything you have and everything you are. I enjoyed it very much, and will go on to read more of Ms. James books.

This was alright - the age gap did feel icky because he saw her grow up because of that I’m giving it 2 stars . ( like um it wasn’t the best book) it was also the least kinkiest book but that isn’t why it’s 2 stars . The mmc was alright but yeah. The fmcs dad was an asshole ( cheating on her mum with a 20 something like wtf?? ) - also he is such an asshole to the fmc & blackmails and her shit so yeah I just think the fmc deserved a better father . For a 200 something page book It definitely was kinda ugh

Emma & Jax

Book 3 in this series did not disappoint. Age gap, long time family friend of Emma's dad. Cheating Dad, Jax best friend, ignored his daughter, left his family for a young secretary , self-centered but continued to control Emma. Good read, hidden affair with some BDSM. Enjoyed the read. A very soft Dom and not great writing.

I don’t know about the others in the series, but this one is kind of kink lite but with a cover and title that make it seem much racier than it is.

Which isn’t so bad; there should be a spectrum of levels in any good genre, even in BDSM romance.

However, I can’t recommend His to Corrupt because the writing is wooden and Jax’s angst is overblown — it gets to be quite annoying.
