Witch Vamp Were? had a lot of potential. It is the second in the series, but it doesn't seem the series continued on after this book. I want to say I loved it, but I didn't. I liked it okay, but I felt it could've been executed better.
One the characters. Individually they are interesting, but they needed more fleshing out, both as individual characters and in the development of the relationship. While there was plenty of heat and lust, I felt by the end of the book the "Romance" was seriously lacking. It does, suggest feelings on the part of Rob and Jak for Shaun, but Shaun appears wholly unmoved (except by lust).
The plot - that is the vague prophecy that tied these three together. I don't mind if the plot isn't as well done, if there is world/character building but a lack of both isn't great. I still don't know what the heck is up with it anyway, and I don't like unresolved plot holes. I was going "Okay...and?"
The only saving grace was that the sex was at least hot. There was some humor and chemistry. It just didn't reach it's full potential, which sucks because I really wanted to love it, and there were at least some interesting ideas . But the lack of a meaty plot + lack of character/relationship development + lack of romance = me not loving it.

Shaun, Pearl's best friend and supernatural fanatic, ends up the subject of a prophecy linking her to Alpha of the Weres, Rob and his vampire friend Jak. She ends up having threesome sex with both of them and magic runs amuck, with magic pregnancies, ghostly grandmothers and other supernatural happenings. This is a very well-written story with some super sexy scenes among the three characters. Taken up against a door? Yes please. Third person watching said scene? Definitely. I also really liked that the jealousy was minimal, which is essential for me to like a threesome. There was still some delicious angst over the thought of sharing, but there wasn't truly any jealousy (though the reason for the jealousy going away is, I guess, attributed to magic).
Whatever I didn't like in this story came down to personal preference. The author infuses humor into the story, which is sometimes tongue-in-cheek and sometimes slapstick with some sarcasm mixed in. It made this a much more light-hearted and fluffy read, which I don't look for in PNR. It just isn't for me. I'm probably mostly alone in feeling that way, so your mileage most likely will vary. Also, the PNR didn't have a romantic conclusion really...the guys definitely were falling for Shaun, but nobody ever expressed any love. And Shaun may as well have been completely unmoved, except by lust, for both of her mates. I never got any indication that she loved either of them and was anything but annoyed at the thought of having their child. I kinda like to have definitive, expressed feelings in the romances that I read. Which brings me to the ending, which was rather abrupt. It leaves us with no idea how Shaun and her boys are going to make it, Pearl has just gone into labor and there's apparently an evil out there that will arise. It was borderline cliffhanger and I wanted more wrap up.

Shaun appeared in the first book in this series and was, even then, on a crusade to prove that Werewolves, ghosts, and vampires really exist. Now that her best friend is mated to a Were-bear, Shaun's next challenge is to prove that vampires exist, and even though the Alpha of the Huntingdawn Pack keeps here in his sites and tries to protect her from herself, she is determined to keep to her crusade. This avant garde heroine finds herself in quite a 'pickle' when the Alpha shows up at her favorite cemetery with his friend who is a hundreds-year-old vampire, and the fun begins. Little did either the vampire or the Alpha realize that their lives would never be the same. Good writing, fun characters, lots of sexy encounters and cute dialogue. Just the things to make for a good read!

Cute paranormal about a vampire, a shapeshifting Alpha jaguar, and a goth witch who are fated to join and produce a magical child that will save the world. Whoo hoo. The book is more cute than serious (would an Alpha shifter actually share a mate??), but it's good fun. And any story that has a character living in a recreation of Bilbo's Bag End has to earn at least a few extra kudos. Good for you, Anne!

This is the sequel to "Accidentally Were?" and gives us Shaun's, best friend of Pearl from the 1st book, story. As Shaun learns of her family secrets, she also learns that she is the destined mate of jaguar shifter Rob as well as the Intended mate of vampire Jak. Together the three try to understand and decipher a prophecy while exploring their own passions with lots of hot, steamy smex!
Interesting story although book seemed to end abruptly. Recommended read.
