Thrust Into Love #4

Sexted by Santa

Rate this book
Christian Kringle: College professor, reluctant Santa, and...fake dating my neighbor?

I'm a grinch and proud of it--but this year, there’s no avoiding the Christmas cheer.

First, I get roped into playing Santa. Shudder. Then, while trying to dodge a setup with my boss's brother, I somehow promise to attend a holiday party with my boyfriend--who doesn't exist.

Next thing I know, my (soon-to-be former) best friend has set up a profile on a hookup app to find me a date. With the username of.... wait for it... SantaWantsYourChimney.

Go ahead and laugh. He sure did, the traitor.

Before I can delete the profile, I match with an easygoing guy with amazing photos. His teasing about Santa kink makes me laugh, and blush, and feel things I haven't since my divorce. For the first time in years, I look forward to dating.

Until we meet, and he turns out to be my neighbor. My very young, very off-limits neighbor who I've clashed with for years. Only now I know just how sexy, charming, and sweetly devoted to his daughter he is.

I should walk away, but I still need that fake boyfriend. The only problem? Jaxson's so convincing I can't tell where the pretense ends and real feelings begin.

Falling for him is easy. Loving his daughter? Effortless. Trusting that I can keep them is the hard part.

It'll take the magic of love, family, and yes--even Christmas--to teach this old grinch new tricks.

Sexted By Santa is a standalone holiday romance set in the Thrust Into Love universe.

2.5 “If this is how all my Christmases go from now on, it’s my new favorite holiday.” stars

I’m really sorry book, I think i’m the grinch in this situation. I loved the Thrust into Love series so I was very excited to get a Christmas book set in the same world, but sadly I just didn’t like the book as much as I wanted to.

Brief summary
Christian is kind of a grinch and doesn’t like Christmas (he’s had an history of bad ones, including his ex-husband gifting him divorce papers 3 years ago) but he’s made to play Santa for some places in town. He’s recluant about it, but he does it anyway. His friend asks him to come to his and his wife’s Christmas dinner and they keep trying to set him up with guys so he needs a fake date for it. Which is why he downloads a dating app to find one. He matches with Jaxson (Who has an 8 years old girl named Tori). Jaxson is Christian’s neighbour and they never liked each other before but they end up realizing that they are made for each other.

First, I enjoyed almost everything about this book, I enjoyed the grumpy/sunshine side of the plot, I enjoyed the plot, I enjoyed the Christmas cheer and the coming to the realization that Christmas can be a good time, I liked how the book was sweet but never too sweet, I loved Jaxson, the only problem? I didn’t like one of the main characters of the book, so I never got behind the couple because of it.

Second, I loved how there was plenty of online interactions. I adore online interactions in books so those parts really worked for me. They were such quality interactions too, I really loved them. Also, the sexting was so hot, I was a big fan.

Third, I really liked the part of the plot that was about making Christian see that Christmas isn’t that bad after all and that he has reasons to enjoy the holidays, that was a really fun adition and I liked how much Christmas cheer was included into that, it was lovely.

Fourth, I liked how they got together and I liked how Christian was a little wary of getting into a new relationship, it made sense that he would be after his last relationship hadn’t gone too well for him. That felt really realistic to me so I enjoyed it, a lot. I liked how they tried to keep it casual and not fall for each other but they couldn’t help but fall for each other. I liked how they started showing signs of falling for each other very early in the book. I also enjoyed how they got together pretty early into the book, I liked that the road to them getting together was pretty easy and that it worked nicely for them. I liked that they both were wary of being in a relationship but decided to try, together, it was very sweet to me.

While I liked how they got together easily, it didn’t really fit with the fact that they were enemies and didn’t like each other before. There was no transition period between the enemies and the friends to lovers part, it happened instantly. I felt like a little transition was needed to make it more belivable for me.

Fixth, I loved the air of found family that was everywhere in this book. Christian had been abandoned by his family when he was a teen so I loved seeing how he found his family in Jaxon and Tori.

Sixth, I just had a little issue with this book, I really didn’t like how so much of it was about generalizing everyone under the age of 35 and saying that no one under that age has their life together and don’t party ever 2 minutes. Christian wasn’t wrong when he called himself a grinch. Christan had been burned by his ex and because of that he made a lot of judgments about people and refused to date anyone who was anything like him, including people under 35 because apparently all of them just don’t have their life together and are too erractic and never make the right decisions or want to settle down. I understand how he’s been burned by his ex, but I didn’t like how he kept saying mean comments about anything that was similar to his ex, just because your ex did those things doesn’t mean the entire population of people under 35 does those things too. Christian was just a little too judgemental at times for me.

Also, I didn’t like the fact that Jaxson was 26 and he was also judgemental of people is age and acting like no one under 35 has their life together. I really don’t like the idea that no one under the age of 35 has their life together because i’m 24 and let me tell you, most people I know are not like this, at all. Just because people younger than you live a life that is different from yours does not mean they aren’t living a life they enjoy and that works for them.

Seventh, Christian was just a little too mean for me. I didn’t like how everything he said came out of prejudice, it made it seem like he thought he was better than everyone else because he has a nice job and money. He reminded me of one of those uncle you never see but during family gatterings and that they just judge you because of your age any time you see them, without even knowing anything about your life. I did like how he ended up realizing that he was wrong for those thoughts but it just a little too late for me, I already disliked him for thinking those things and he didn’t apologize enough for them to make it right for me, I did enjoy the change thought, a lot. I just wished he had changed over time instead of changing everything about his personality over night, it was a little too quick for me, it just didn’t feel very realistic to me.

Eight, I will add that I loved how Christian ended up realizing that he hadn’t been the nicest person ever, to everyone around him, and started trying to fix up his old mistakes. That was really needed for me, he had done a couple of not so nice actions so I liked that he realized that and worked on fixing them and making it right.

Ninth, I don’t really like side characters that cause drama in books and this one had a couple of scenes that were just a little too dramatic for me, I can see why they were in the book as they did serve a purpose but they just weren’t for me.

Also side note, but the drama at 85% left me a little cold and I didn’t really understand why it was happening, it was such a change in tone from the happy vibes of the book that it didn’t really work for me.

Tenth, I loved Tori, Jaxson’s daughter so much. She was such a precious little sweetheart, I adored everything about her.

Eleventh, I will say that the epilogue made my rating go higher, that was one of the sweetest epilogue I have ever read and it really closed out the book in a lovely fashion.

Overall this was very sweet and full of lovely Christmas cheer, I just wish I vibed with it more than I did.

I received an ARC of this book, and this is my honest review.

Absolutely loved it!

I have really enjoyed every book in this series from DJ but I have to say, this one is making a bid to be the best one yet.

There is something really sweet and heartwarming about people finding a new found family and this one has that in spades.

I loved everything about it. From grumpy Christian Kringle, to eight-year-old Tori with her independent streak a mile wide and the difficulties of coping with Type 1 Diabetes, to worn out but brilliant single parent Jaxson and to Christian's fabulous Aunt Henry and his best friend Barrie.

This book has a bit of angst, but nothing that is overly dramatic and its conclusion had me smiling with happiness.

“I could always call you Santa.”
“Oh Christ,” he muttered. His eyes sharpened. “Are you flirting with me?”
“Do you want me to be?”

I like how every book of this series has a different vibe. If you didn't like one of the previous ones you’d give another one a try. All can be read perfectly as standalones. Though here there was a cameo that I absolutely loved and wasn’t expecting it!
With Christmas around the corner if you are a seasonal reader I’d definitely recommend it for you. Especially if you don't like extremely sweet stories, the type that makes you feel like a Grinch for feeling less christmassy.

description

Jax and Christian didn’t start on the right foot when they met a couple of years ago. But little by little they discovered that they have so much in common, like having been let down by people that were supposed to be there for them growing up.
I’m not used to reading books with characters with children and that’s maybe why I had a hard time connecting with Jax sometimes. He could be a little too intense for my liking. Don’t get me wrong, all of his doings were justified. But like I said before I lean more in books with topics like Matched by My Rival. Though I’ve got to admit that the epilogue was so cute and melted my heart like the Grinch that I am.

A grumpy Santa. A single dad. A sweet story where the meaning of Christmas changes throughout the book.

This was fun and cute! Except I had a hard time with the 'thing' near the end and the way it was handled. I didn't quite see the purpose of adding this to the story.

Of course it gets resolved, it just killed my happy vibe.

Decent cutesy Christmas-themed love story.

This wasn’t as cheesy as I’d thought it would be, but it was definitely sweet and low angst. Too low angst. This author pulled out the dreaded miscommunication trope and one that’s even worse, but I won’t spoil it. You definitely see it coming though.

One of the MCs is a single dad and not a page goes by when you’re not reminded of it. It was a lot.

This is my first book by author D.J. Jamison and I thought from the title it was going to be a sexy little Christmas romp, but it was so much more. Two very different people, at two different places in their lives, with a previous interaction that hadn’t gone well, yet a connection on a dating app brings them together and they both have a hard time denying the attraction between them. Sexted by Santa had a lot of pieces and many layers yet they all fit together to make one fantastic holiday story.

Christian Kringle (and yes I’ll admit I rolled by eyes because it seems like every Christmas romance at least one of the MC has a cutesy holiday name) is a professor at a college and lives a quiet life with Sir Elton John, his dog not the musician. Following his divorce three years prior, he hasn’t dated much and has pretty much decided that based on his track record he’s not relationship material, but he needs a date for the faculty office party as he told his department chair he was dating and wasn’t interested in being set up with her brother so when his best friend signs him up on a dating app he connects with someone he enjoys chatting and sexting with, he decides a face to face is in order. He’s very surprised to when his neighbor Jaxson Hicks shows up. Jaxson who he counseled and told not to drop out of school when he became a single dad to an infant, Jaxson who he’s been a bit curt with since he moved in next door, and Jaxson who he must admit has intrigued him since they began their online interaction.

Jaxson was a bit taken aback when he realizes his online hookup is Christian; while he wondered he’d pretty much put it out of his head. He can also admit he’s not too upset about it even though Christian seems dead set on them doing anything together. However when Christian asks him to accompany him to a work party and a party at his aunt’s house, he agrees because there’s something he thinks is worth exploring if only Christian will come around to it.

I enjoyed watching both of these characters grow throughout this book. Christian felt he was jinxed by Christmas and he hated the commercialism of it, but through the eyes of the people he visited while playing Santa for his beloved aunt he can’t say no to and through the eyes of Jaxon’s nine year old daughter,Tori he begins to see how it brings people together and happy. Since Tori was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, Jaxson had become a helicopter parent frustrating Tori which caused her to act out, it was good to see him realize this, that he took some very sage advice from Christian and worked to do better. I loved that despite their age differences, they both were at a point where the simple things in life were more important than being social butterflies. Yes, they fell pretty quickly but it was easy to see they were well matched and their bond was strong. I also appreciated they both had decent communication skills.

While I had pretty much predicted what their big conflict would be, I was also happy that they were able to discuss rationally and put it behind them quickly.

Well written with two main characters I adored, a relationship that developed organically, laughter, hope, and love, Sexting With Santa was impossible to put down and a wonderful holiday treat.

Audiobook Review

Having read this in ebook form first, I have to say that the audiobook is the best way of reading this one.

So in here we have Jackson, a young guy who is raising his diabetic young daughter on his own and is often overwhelmed. While this narrative was pushing the fact that it was his mother's fault he had to drop out of college to take care of his own kid, I disagree. Mom did not knock someone up so young. Mom was not the one having sex, but I digress.

When he was in college, he had a professor named Kris Kringle. Kris was an uptight fella whose husband cheated on him and they got divorced.

During all this, Jackson bought a house next door to Kris. They have not gotten along since Kris told Jackson it would be bad to drop out and Jackson thought he was being disapproving towards him.

One day, both were bored and went on the app that ties all of these books together. They start sexting and decide to meet up and are very surprised to find out who was who.

Eventually these two get together and work it all out.

You do not need to have read the other books in the series to read this one.

The narration was top notch, Nick Russo did a great job.

Sniffle...

I'm not crying over this overly emotional ending, I just got something in my eye.

This story was perfect for the holiday season. Low angst, likable mcs, and a kid who wasn't annoying.

I am, however, very happy I got the Santa Daddy story I mentioned on the last books review.

Such a great story/audiobook. Super enjoyable and pretty darn cute.

Christian Kringle is as grumpy as they come. Christmas spells bad memories for him. Add to that his sweet, attractive and younger neighbour dislikes him.

When it turns out that he is also the very sexy guy on the dating app that he just clicks with, things get interesting.

I love how these two unravel their feelings and navigate their growing attraction and their realization that they may have misjudged the other.

Miscommunication and not sharing feelings are common plot devices, but I love that these two bucked that trend. Even when things could have completely unravelled, they managed to work through it together.

There’s something super special about found families and building a home, especially in a Christmas story. And Christian’s softening and finding his joy again was also pretty special.

All in all, a really fun holiday story, one that narrator Nick Russo did a wonderful job on. He did a great job of capturing all the characters and the emotions within. 4.5 Stars

I'm generally a holiday disliker. Christmas is definitely not my favorite time of the year, qnd having to tolerate decor since August and the same carols on loop doesn't endear me to the season. That said, there's few authors that write stories good enough for me to go for when they have anything to do with the dreaded season, and DJ is one of those. Even more telling that I went for it on November.
This book is held up to my grinch standard. It's not stickly sweet shoving the cheer down your throat to be enjoyable for me, but still sweet enough for the holiday lovers to like. In a way it's nice to have characters like Christopher, who has nothing to endear him to the date but the cute neighbor and his cute daughter. Plus, not having the picture perfect holiday makes the story feel more real, and thus more perfect.
Humbug approved!

This was such a good read. I really liked this story. It had really loveable characters.

Even though Chris was such a grinch, you still can't help but really like him.
Jax and his daughter are so sweet and it's so totally understandable why he's so overbearing when it comes to her but I'm glad he eventually understood that he needs to give her some freedom at least.

I really liked Jax and Chris together, the whole age gap thing for me is hot.

The only thing I didn't enjoy and what prevented the full 5 ⭐'s, was how often Chris's ex, Fynn was mentioned. That for me, became annoying.

This was my first holiday book of the season, and I'm so glad I started off so strong! I've been really enjoying this series since the start, and while this one seems to have a slightly different tone, it is still just as good as those that come before it. A grinchy professor and a stubborn single dad don't seem like they'd make the best pair, but Jamison nails it as always. Highly recommend adding this one to your holiday TBR!

I don’t know why, but this book just didn’t quite work for me. I just felt like Christen and Jaxson went from enemies to lovers too quickly. I listened to the audiobook. I’m a big fan of D. J. Jamison. I usually love her books. The narrator was Nick J. Russo and he was great, but that still didn’t make me love it.

Christian Kringle hates the holiday season. His neighbour, Jaxson Hicks and his daughter Tori are the opposite. Can they change the mind of the grumpy scrooge next door when Jaxson and Christian match on a dating app? Who can resist being Sexted By Santa? Especially when he looks like the guy on the cover...Hello Santa!

This is one of those stories where the grumpy one hates Christmas, until the happy one shows him what it's all about. Jaxson and Christian are neighbors and don't get along. Which makes sense because Christian seems pretty rude at first. He's actually kind of guarded and sensitive, though. And Jaxson has a little girl with diabetes. That's a lot for a single parent, never mind trying to have a social life!

I like that a lot of their dating revolved around holiday related moments, and I loved how Christian was with Jax's daughter. Most of their love story is going pretty smoothly, only one bump near the end, but these boys are good with the communication and working things out. The Santa stuff cracked me up and the epilogue was so sweet. I loved it.

Sexted by Santa is the fourth book in the Thrust into Love series by D.J. Jamison. This book is about Christian, Jaxson and Tori. Christian Kringle is a college professor who doesn't really like christmas but under protest agrees to volunteer as Santa. Jaxson is his neighbor and a young single dad. His little girl Tori is his whole world. They've classed for years but click on a hook-up app.

I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, fun, full of feels and very well written. I love this series and really recommend all of them.

SEXTED BY SANTA is the fourth book in the Thrust Into Love series and could easily be read as a standalone as the connection is the college, not the people.

Oh, man. Where to start? Maybe with the Found Family, which is something I always love? Or maybe with the grumpy, grinch-like main character who also warms up? Or maybe I go with the amazing amount of research done into Type 1 Diabetes? I don't know. All of the above.

Having my own Found Family; this is a trope I love. It has been proven to me over and over that they can step up when your biological family won't. It doesn't always mean it's straightforward though, as Hugh so brilliantly demonstrates.

As for the main characters, Christian never had it easy, from the time he was named! And Jaxson, bless his heart. He became a single parent at a young age, determined to do the right thing. And, for the most part, he succeeds admirably. Yes, he's over-protective, but so would I be! I adored how these two were together, so capable and supportive of each other, yet so hot my Kindle was steaming.

And yes, that research definitely deserves a mention! I honestly had no idea it was so involved. Absolutely heartbreaking that you can do all the right things and some outside force can make it go wrong! Luckily for me, this author believes in happy endings so all was well in the end. I was worried!!!

Put all of this together and you get a stonking book that is so much more than 'just' a Christmas story. It's about love, hope, and learning to live again. Absolutely fantastic and highly recommended by me.

Audiobook Review:
Overall – 5
Performance – 5
Story – 5

Single dad, grumpy professor and a cute kid - I loved it! 🥰

I read this book with my eyes when it was first released and I loved it. The only thing I can add to my original review (shown below) is to say what a great job Nick J. Russo did performing the audiobook. That’s not really a surprise, though. Nick always does a fantastic job and it’s one of the reasons he’s on my list of favorite audiobook performers.

Original review:
This is a sweet and sexy Christmas story. I love the dynamic between Christian and Jaxson. They are neighbors but never really speak to each other until they meet after chatting through a hook-up app. Both of them are stunned when they realize they’ve been texting with their neighbor.

Christian and Jaxson have a history… Christian was Jaxson’s advisor when he was in college and he strongly encouraged Jaxson to stay in school and not drop out. When his advice wasn’t followed Christian let Jaxson know that he didn’t approve.

I just can’t say enough good things about this story. I love the reluctant Santa aspect, I love Christian’s interactions with Jaxson’s daughter, Tori, and I love how Christian and Jaxon are able to work out their problems and quickly get over the bump in their relationship.

I’ve said it before but I’ll keep saying it: I think DJ Jamison’s writing just keeps getting better and better. It’s an honor to be a beta-reader for her. I always look forward to receiving something new from her to read.

A copy of this book was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

With the username of....wait for it...SantaWantsYourChimney.

I absolutely adore a grump getting together with a little ray of sunshine, or even better, a curmudgeonly Christmas hating grinch falling for a cute as heck single dad doing his best every day for his daughter! This book was everything I expected and more.

Chris is a divorced college professor strong-armed into playing Santa for good cause, but his Ho Ho Ho-ing could use some serious work when he rocks up at the care home where Jaxson works. The fact that this Santa is Jaxson’s grumpy neighbour is not lost on him, but Jax still likes what he sees!

The book starts quite slow, giving us time to get to know the two men (and the adorable Tori) before the sexting starts! Both men have had their ups and plenty of downs, and Jaxson’s struggle as a single parent is depicted accurately (to me anyway!) and I really love the rolling nature of this tale as our guys find their way (quickly) to a scrumptious HEA just in time for Christmas.

This is a perfect dose of festive love and connection. Highly recommended!

I was given a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 stars. rounded up.

I’ve read #1 in this series (Swiped by My Dad’s Best Friend), and now this one, #4. I almost never skip ahead in series, but I’m not a big fan of college type books unless it involves older characters or age gaps. I may go back and read the other two at some point. I almost cringed when I saw how long this book was because the first one (in my opinion) dragged on too long. Not Sexted by Santa. I breezed right through it. It really was a great book.

With that being said, both books I’ve read can totally be read as standalones.

I love books with kids in them and this one has Tori, Jaxson's 8-year-old daughter. I love age gaps and there are quite a few years between Christian and Jaxson, though I don't think Christian's age was actually given. I also love guys who wear glasses and Christian wears them a couple of times in the book. All it needed was some silly humor and it would've clicked all my reading boxes.

Man, oh man, I absolutely LOVED this audiobook and story! The narrator, Nick J Russo, did an amazing job distinguishing Christian and Jaxson while adding so much emotion and humor to the story. I read along with the audio and I can honestly say he brought SO MUCH MORE to an already heartwarming story. Christian and Jaxson and Tori were an amazing trio and I’m honestly sad their story is over.

Christian Kringle is the grumpy professor who hates Christmas. When he puts his foot in his mouth and says he has a date for a few parties, his friend signs him up on an app and there he meets a man who lightens his heart and makes him wild. When he finds out it’s the single father next door he’s always butted heads with, the sparks continue to fly.

I just adored Jaxson and Tori. Tori has diabetes and it was handled with care the entire story. He’s a bit overbearing and hesitant about starting a relationship but these two guys can’t deny their chemistry or attraction and I’m so glad they came together.

There’s a little bit of angst, a little bit of steam, and a whole lotta heart. This was an absolute perfect story and audiobook for the holidays and I can definitely see myself listening to it yearly.

This is a enemies to lovers sweet holiday romance with some angst and a cute little girl.

I enjoyed the relationship development between Christian and Jackson through the book. Christian definitely starts out as a Grinchy bahumbugger (I don’t think that’ll a word, but you get my meaning) but is finally able to open his heart by the end.

Jackson and Tori are a sweet addition to this book. I enjoyed Jackson’s character as a single father and 100% dedicated to his daughter. It was a slow build up for him and Christian to connect and let each other in both had their own relationship drawbacks and concerns.

I generally don’t read a lot of books with children in them. It’s not some thing I avoid on a conscious level but I just tend to not pick them up as frequently as others. They enjoyed the depth little Tori added to the story.

Overall I enjoyed it and would recommend for a holiday read.

Heat 6/10 (good heat once they get there, but not a main focus of the story)
Character development: 8/10 (well written, both characters show growth over time)
Pace: 8/10 (good overall, slow in a couple minor spots)
Believability: 8/10 (I generally have a hard time believing people who strongly dislike each other can fall in love, but this one was believable for me so kudos to the author!)
Overall: 8/10 (would recommend)

4.5 Stars!

This story is a lovely tale of grumpy and sunshine finding love, but also found family. It was heartwarming, and I loved watching Christian open his heart to not only Jaxson but also to Jaxson's daughter Tori. I also enjoyed Christian reevaluating his views on Christmas and the holidays as he spends time with Jaxson and Tori. It was lovely to see him finding happiness in things that he previously dismissed or despised.

Jaxson was amazing. I loved how direct he was and how that helped Christian open up and take a chance, even if it was only fake dating for a while. Jaxson worked hard to take care of his daughter and provide her with what he could. I loved when Christian helped Jaxson out and provided insight at times without being pushy or judgemental. Once they decided to try a relationship, I loved that they made sure to communicate what they wanted and needed in a partner. I was glad that they both took a step back and tried to reconnect and discuss the situation even when things went wrong.

Christian's Aunt Henry was quite the character, and I enjoyed her shenanigans and her love and support of so many that needed family. Her acceptance of Jaxson and Tori into her life was beautiful.

**ARC Review**

What an awesome holiday romance. An established grump/grinch who is extra salty during Christmas not just because of his name, Christian Kringle(laughs) but for other unhappy reasons is forced to be Santa. His neighbor Jaxson a single father, who has a complicated relationship with him, meet as strangers on a dating app, begins a fake relationship and ultimately developed a lot more. I absolutely loved their buildup...intense sexting, flirtation, dating, lovely family interaction, HOT sexy times...a little bump in the road that eventually smooth out with communication and love, wrapped up in holiday sweetness. So glad Christian was able to have good feelings for the holidays...he deserved happiness and sharing it with Jaxson and his lovely daughter makes it even special. This was definitely a 5 Star read for me and I think others would enjoy it too:)

I’m reviewing the audio edition. Christian and Jaxson not only live next door to each other but had been previously acquainted when Christian was Jaxson’s professor. Jaxson and Christian had disagreed about Jaxson quitting school to support his daughter Tori. Then as luck would have it later, Jaxson and Christian became neighbors with that disagreement standing between them until a funny situation changes their conversations. This story is so perfect as a holiday listen. The characters are so likable and the situations overall made me smile. There is one serious incident that almost causes a permanent wall between them but there is just such a strong attraction that the author brought everything to a hea. The narration by Nick J. Russo was perfect. This narrator has a talent for bringing characters and stories to life.

This was surprisingly good. A slow paced romance between a loner, grumpy Grinch and a hardworking single dad.

Christian is totally anti Christmas, especially after all those disasters striking him around that particular holiday. But he has been roped into playing Santa at few charity events and its totally grating him out. On top of that he is in desperate need of a fake date for the office holiday party!

Jaxson has a lot on his plate, being a single dad with a young girl who has Type 2 Diabetes. But he is a fighter and has kept his kid safe and happy all these years. Will Santa gift him a loving partner this year? And who is this hot guy in the new app?

Loved this Christmas romance, full of fun, hope and love.

I loved everything about this story!! Christian is Jaxson’s grinchy neighbor and at one time was his college professor. Jaxson had to quit college to raise his daughter Tori and that irked Christian. I adored Tori!! The author did a fantastic job with the Type 1 diabetes. I literally couldn’t put the story down. I absolutely loved this story!! Overall the story was really well written, highly recommend! I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.

I like this book, but it was a little less light-hearted than the other books, kinda. Equally more mushy and more serious because of the ill kid in the mix.
The enemies to friends did not work too well for me, it felt kinda forced and Christian seems to change to easily and quickly. There was no believable transition. But I did like the text conversations and sexting. And the relationship is well written, once it's underway. Also, Tori seemed reasonably believable for her age, I did not get a plot-device-kid vibe from her.
