Isaku Natsume (native name: 夏目イサク) is a Japanese author of Boys' Love manga. Aside from the manga published with publishing companies, she also runs two Dōjin circles: 139 and Chekera. List of all her works (detailed) : http://infbot.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/...
I am going to hold on to the hope Natsume-san mentioned in the afterword and hope the new volume comes out soon. Till then I shall wait for the release of the assorted pack.
my babies are packing up and moving in together 🥹. also, there was finally some mention that kabu doesn’t want to lose onoe, which is why he was hesitant at first. ughh, my heart is full when it comes to these two

I was going to give this a 3, but then the whole "meet his parents" scene was so understated and accepting that I decided to bump it up. I love how the creator really thought about how teachers would have been exposed to more up-to-date LGBTQIA+ information and therefore, perhaps, more comfortable with a gay son. (Not always true, sadly, but it worked well here.)
I can’t believe this manga has been around for 10 years!! Seeing Onoe and Kaburagi finally moving in together is just so gratifying. And getting to see Onoe’s parents was the cherry on top. This is definitely my favorite bl.
This continues to be in my top favorite manga series...probably top 5? I'd have to sit down and really look at my list, but the fact that it's 5 star after 5 star with no serious complaints says a lot.
This one finally addressed the one little complaint I'd been having, which is the issue of them moving in together. Natsume points out in the author's note that they've actually been dating for less than two years at this point, so they're progressing at a good pace - a little fast, even! But for two guys in their late 20s who don't have any doubts about spending their lives together, why should they wait?
I loved how much they both wanted that next stage in their lives, even if they talked about it in different ways, with Onoe being super enthusiastic and Kaburagi approaching it from a pretty chill, practical perspective. The main problem for him was timing, since Onoe had found a great apartment at their absolute busiest time of the year.
Appropriate to be reading this right before the Christmas break, when my work is knocking me off my feet with stress and exhaustion...but the two of them have it way worse. The big scoops are flooding in at the end of the year, and half their staff is knocked out by illness, so they're scrambling to cover even more than they already do. For Onoe, this means a lot of desk work, writing up and laying out people's stories as they come in.
For Kaburagi, it means several overnight trips, more stakeouts than usual, and eventually collapsing from overwork - although he was just tired, not ill. They have a little bit of a disagreement before that breaking point, with an already exhausted Kaburagi telling Onoe in irritation that he doesn't want to be nagged about taking care of himself. Onoe takes one statement badly - Kaburagi saying that he prefers to deal with things on his own - and snaps that maybe they shouldn't live together, then.
If he'd actually paused to think about it, he might've realized that Kaburagi had been bringing work over to Onoe's apartment, so he could finish up his tasks and still be with him, even if they weren't talking or really interacting. He was already going to him for comfort and companionship while he was wearing himself out.
The misunderstanding stretches out a little, but not for too long - it never does with these two. It leads to something I did not expect but absolutely loved: Kaburagi meeting Onoe's parents, not only as his coworker and new roommate but as his boyfriend.
I know there's another volume after this, which Sublime doesn't seem to be announcing for some frustrating reason, but this one ends on a really, really note that will hold me for a while. They're such a perfect couple: never too sappy or unrealistically idealized, but absolutely perfect for each other. I love watching them build their lives together.
Straight up this volume is nothing but fluff but I am here for it.
Good shit: 1. Mother Onoe is best mother (and Father Onoe is probs best father), also Onoe cannot for the life of him lie
Best scene was when Mother was like “Don’t you have something to tell me?” and Onoe is like “Huh? About what?” (because he genuinely just brought Kabu over to kind of show him what family is like and had no intention of introducing Kabu as boyfriend)
But Mother keeps asking until Onoe accidentally confirms, and afterwards just wants to make sure that her son was dating a man who could admit that yes he was dating her son. I LOVE MOTHER and I am pretty sure I love Father too
2. Confirmed that Kasai and Nori know each other because they have met each other multiple times in Masayan’s place.
3. Confirmed that Nori and Kabu are in regular communications good good good Kabu good
4. Onoe is a good wifey who tries to make sure Kabu stops being such an emotionally stunted person and helps and encourages him (I mean not just this volume but in previous volumes as well) Meanwhile Kabu is comes in clutch wifey/there when it counts wifey/but otherwise can’t be bothered if it’s not that important wifey, but still wifey
I mean I still check every now and then if volume 7 is coming out. If 酷くしないで can hit 11 volumes, why not AmePara? Why not AmePara?

SOME SPOILERS AHEAD I loved this volume so much! It's so refreshing to read about an adult relationship that's realistic but also not all doom and gloom! There are some misunderstandings but they are quickly resolved with communication and each point of view is explained. After all Onoe and Kaburagi are fundamentally different people and have different ways of thinking, be explaining their point of views to each other, it's just making their connection deeper and more understanding ❤️
Also a pleasure to come across accepting parents!!
The mangaka had made a note saying that since Onoe's parents are both teachers they'd have more exposure to LGBTQ themes since it's something they'd have to teach and they discussed what would happen if their son showed up with a boyfriend instead of a girlfriend and you know what the answer is?
Nothing happened! They just wished (well Onoe's mom anyway, they haven't told his dad but everyone seems confident that he won't have any I'll feelings towards Kaburagi) that One has continued good health and that they were able to admit that they are dating!!

This Japanese Manga about two working journalist in love continues on. The author has been working on this story for 10 years. I have now caught up and must wait with everyone else to see how the story goes. She does plan on writing some more.
I love this volume. It was the best in a while. Onoe and Kaburagi are wanting to move in together. Onoe has even found an apartment. Work is so busy, the pair hardly see each other. Things get strained.
Onoe also takes Kaburagi to meet his parents. I love that whole sequence. Onoe is more thrown off by his parents than Kabu and Kabu feels at home.
At the end, Isaku, the author promises we will get to see them living together next volume, so I'm awaiting it. We didn't get much of Kabu and Onoe together this issue, but I thought this was a better issue than we've gotten in a long while. Great.
I love these two...... The miscommunication between them isn't because of them but because of that one guy who wants one of them. But I was worry that they might breakup after that one miscommunication fight. However Im so glad that he didn't want to breakup after all. I'm so glad that he still wanted to live with him. I'm so glad that his mom didn't care about that he was seeing a guy. As long as he is happy and healthy that is all it matters. As a parent I agree. I will support my kids no matter what. I'm so glad that I picked up with series....
While there wasn't anything revolutionary in this volume, I do like where Kaburagi and Onoe's relationship is going. My boys are officially moving in with one another, and now Onoe's parents know that the two of them are together, and are completely cool with it, much to Kaburagi's shock. He was ready to fight for his relationship, and was not expecting Onoe's parents to be so laid back. This series is still such a cozy read, and I look forward to the next volume.
This series has gotten better with each volume and this one is no exception. I really love how, unlike other BL, you really see the progression of Onoe and Kaburagi's relationship. I especially love how ordinary their problems seem. They have real fights about things real couple's would fight about. Also, the way Onoe worries over Kaburagi in this volume is really sweet and the fact that he took Kaburagi to his parent's house to try and solve the perceived issue was a pretty solid move in my opinion. And can we get a moment of gratitude for Onoe's mom? She is the best.
I cant believe its been 11 years since I started reading this manga😭 I truly feel like the characters are growing up me I still remember staying up at night reading the chapters on a school night and now I realized that Im doing the same thing I did in high school but in grad school 11 years later😭😭 why is life moving so fast!!
this is the last volume i have of this series and i was reading it half-giddy cause of the plot, half-depressed cause of the hole i'll be stuck in afterwards, but then i read that there is going to be a NEXT volume and now i'm going to be holding onto that fact for the next however many years until it's out
Other than the volume with the shorts and extras in, it's a shame to think there's never going to be anymore of this, despite the set up for more. Volume 6 came out in Japan in 2021, it's been 4 years. I highly doubt there'll be more. It's a shame because I love the characters and the drama, despite not being the most ground breaking, is one of my favourites because of how cosy it felt.
Their relationship continues to become more and more adorable! I also love that they’ve both matured so much and are dealing with whatever comes at them. They care for each other deeply and it shows. Great series, can’t wait for the next one.
Seriously no notes. I have to check out more by this author cause I'm hooked. How are they still both so damn sweet, kind, thoughtful, and caring. Just can't with them. I can't believe this came out 4 years ago and we hadn't gotten another book yet. I need them living together asap.
3.5⭐ rounded up because I'm enjoying the established relationship problems part of it. This one was about living together and being compatible with that along with taking care of each other when overworking. Like a normal couple and not the overly dramatized stuff we see in manga
I love that the “drama” in this series isn’t petty as hell. It always gets resolved in the same volume. I love this couple and can’t wait to see what’s in store for them next time!
