At first I thought that this is a INNOCENT Manhwa BUT its not, its SMUT.

Nice surprise there Author. I'm caught off guard and shocked

The FL has an awful family, she's like Cinderella in a way that they made her do all the household chores for free and her last straw is when her stepmom planned to marry her of to an old man in exchange for money. That's when she decided to leave and escape her awful life.

Then she noticed a news article about the Duke that is on war for a long time now. She had an idea to disguise herself as the new bride of the Duke because she thought that he will never come back alive. But surprise surprise he comes back Alive, Healthy ans Still a Hotty.

A short but enjoyable read. I read it on the Tappytoon app so the version I read was pretty edited, but I was there for the story anyway. This is a smut tho so if you want the less edited version you can read that on the Tappytoons website. Other than that I feel like the characters had a good back and forth. Although some stuff didn’t make sense, her family was trying to use the Duke for his money in the story and the FL was acting like they were so terrible for that when the whole reason she was in the Duke’s house to begin with was because he was at war and she wanted to live a cushy comfortable life without doing any work. What is the difference? I get that her family is full of abusers so they are rightfully villainized in that sense, but you can’t villainies them for something when you literally did the same thing to get to the position you’re in. That was weird to me. I realize the main point of the story was smug tho so I’m not gonna overthink it too much. Overall I like the way the story was handled.

This is such an entertaining manhwa. Our female lead is a con artist who decided to scam a warmonger for her survival. At first, she was living a good life with her lie but things turned out differently when the male lead returned from war. It's also interesting how the male lead just let her continue with her lie and didn't even kick her out of his home. And from a lie, their relationship turned into a real romance. Even if the male lead is known as a tyrant in the war, he is very soft towards the female lead. The smut also made this manhwa better so this is such a good read.

I will say that this webtoon is trash. It doesn't have a very good plot it relies a lot on tropes, and it doesn't make sense half the time. I continued reading because I found a lot of it hilarious. This included how ML reacted to learning that a random woman was pretending to be his wife. I will say that the FL is my favorite character only because she somehow only digs a deeper hole for herself every time she tries to get out of a bad situation.

Apart from that everything else sucked. Everything was rushed. The ML barely had any personality. We really didn't get to know him until the end. Although he does actions that show that he cares for the FL it's still weird to see him fall in love that quickly. I would have liked more development in their friendship before they dropped in the baby acquisition and misunderstanding tropes. Even that got resolved quickly so that they could have a happy ending.

Gostei muito da obra! É um romance quentinho, muito engraçado e entregou tudo, foi muito emocionante ler O Duke Bumerangue. Super recomendo a leitura.
