As a single mom, it takes every minute of every day, and every penny in her pocket for Darcy Beller to provide for her seven-year-old son, Frank. She has no time to worry about romance as she struggles to make ends meet in the small Louisiana town of Carson’s Bayou.

But when Frank brings home a fire truck Christmas ornament, along with a permission slip for him to go to their local fire station on a class trip with Darcy as a chaperone, her world suddenly changes.

Even though Blaze Carson’s family are the wealthiest people in Carson’s Bayou, he continues to live his simple life as a fireman in his small town, refusing to let the family money pull him into a world where he has been burned before. He’s happy working his life away serving others through his occupation and does not need to be tied down by a female or a family. But when a woman with a head full of fiery red curls shows up at the station with her inquisitive seven-year-old son, his life begins to turn in a completely different direction.

Can Mrs. Claus work her magic to bring these two people together, living so near one another, but in completely different worlds? Find out in A Christmas Blaze, a sweet inspirational romance that is a fun read for this holiday season.

KC Hart, author of Christian Contemporary Small Town Romance with a southern twist and Christian Cozy mysteries, has been married to Mr. Wonderful for thirty-nine years. She has three daughters, three grandsons, and one beautiful granddaughter.

KC sincerely believes that well-written Christian fiction can change lives. When a novel has strong Christian principals woven intricately into a well-written plot, the reader bonds with lifelike characters who struggle with trials, temptations, and struggles that the reader identifies with. The reader identifies with these characters because she’s been there. Everyone has fallen. That’s why everyone needs a Savior.

Then, when these same characters turn to Christ the Savior to bring them through these dark moments, the reader finds hope. KC believes the story reminds the reader why she must lean on the Lord in her trying situations. Through the book’s structure showing Christianity as the positive light for good that KC knows to be true, the reader also sees why she needs to be the hands and feet of Christ to others.

KC strives to show how the Lord uses situations, people, and His Word to bring the lost to Him, and mold, prune and grow His children. She tackles challenging situations, powerful emotions, and spiritual warfare through engaging stories and true-to-life characters.

All of KC's books are free of sex, gore and foul language. Her books are full of small town charm and share the light of Christ in a way that is natural to the story.

I absolutely loved this book. I think my favorite character was Mrs Claus. You can just picture her with rosy cheeks and a smile always on her face. She makes you feel like miracles are still possible and love can win in the end. And the hunky firefighter is a nice addition. I think K C Hart did exceptionally well on her first romance book and I'm looking forward to the next

What an amazing addition to an already spectacular series. I fell in love with all the characters, Darcy, Frank, and Blaze. The location was top-notch, right along with the Gator Statue. I wish everyone had a Mrs. Claus in their life too ❤️ I don’t cry often while reading but I couldn’t hold back the tears in this one. I received an ARC of this story in return for an honest review. Can’t wait to read more marvelous stories like this one by the very talented KC Hart.

As a newcomer to The Ornamental Match Makers series K.C. Hart's A Christmas Blaze is a page turning holiday novella with I did NOT SEE this COMING twists. Darcy Beller and Blaze Carson are relatable characters facing modern day dilemmas. Mrs. Claus and the fire truck ornament gives the story a whimsical element. The Cajun Bayou setting with alligator Carson, Cajun Kris Kringle, Gumbo Hut, and the Italian Christmas Donkey Dominque is unique to this series. As a wife, mother of three sons and Oma to two grandsons Blaze's testosterone oozed Christmas tree made me chuckle. Holiday romances are special when adorable school aged children are included. As a Midwesterner appreciating Michigan wild life, I was disappointed when in Chapter 4 Darcy and her son feed the fish and ducks bread.

Great story

This story has plenty of humor. The son Frank sounds so cute. Loved the scene where Frank asked the firefighter if his Mom would go to jail for using the smoke detector batteries in the TV remote.
The story shows the character recognizing how much pride she had, even tho being poor. Dollars in an account aren't a gauge of how much pride a human may be carrying around.

KC Hart has written a delightful Christmas romance! When a firefighter meets a single mom, sparks fly, although Darcy has sworn off men. The only man in her life is her seven-year-old son, Frank. She has devoted her life to taking care of him. A sweet and clean inspirational romance, this book would be a delightful read during the Christmas season, or any time of the year.

This book was gifted to me by the author. The opinions expressed here are my own.

"A Christmas Blaze" features a widowed mother, and a high energy son who never knew his hero father, a military pilot killed in Iraq. Her highest priority is providing for her son by herself, but he needs a male role model in his life.
When he meets a fireman on a school field trip, they quickly become attached to each other. His mother worries about his chance to be hurt.
K C Hart weaves a heart-rending story of loss, love and risk. I know I cannot go wrong by selecting something she wrote.

A Really Cute Story

I enjoyed these characters and the story! The idea of loving people for who the are instead of wealth has always been important to me. I loved cute Frank too! A wonderful child with a great personality! The holiday theme with the mysterious Mrs. Claus was fun too!

This entertaining story is about a widowed mom, her second grade son, and the fireman they meet on a school field trip. It's too short (longer is almost always better where books are concerned) but thoroughly enjoyable.
It was a gift from KC due to entering the Christmas in July promotion and I'm writing this voluntarily.

This is such a great addition to the series with Mrs. Claus matchmaking in Louisiana. Mrs. Claus always starts with an ornament and then continues on from there. I really like the way the author tells this story and allows it to unfold at a good pace. Great characters also really kept my interest throughout. This can read as part of the series or on its own.

Really Great Christian Series

This series is so good. I'm really enjoying this Christmas series that's combined faith with Mrs Claus as a matchmaker. I loved Blaze and Darcy's story and who can resist a little boy that needs a Daddy. A really great read that I read straight through.

Sweet Read

Always love a book with a hunky fireman. Loved this sweet story and characters. I have finished every K.C. Hart book now. She is by far my favorite author. She always brings hope, love and Christ into the story and you can’t have love with Christ or God or love for yourself.

A fun and touching Christmas story with great characters you’ll fall in love with! Darcy, a young widow, who puts her child ahead of her own needs. Frank, her precious young son. Blaze, a firefighter who is everything a hero should be. A mysterious Mrs. Claus even makes several appearances!

Cute clean story

It is Christian based but not preachy. It is clean and still exciting to read. The characters are real and brought to life. I enjoyed the book.
