There’s something magical about Sonya.

Tucked between two nightclubs, Wanda’s Psychic Readings isn’t the kind of place I would normally wander into. When my brother’s bachelor party takes a detour into the unknown, I come face-to-face with real magic.

I feel an instant spark with the tarot card wielding Sonya. After one ill-fated rehearsal dinner, can I prove to her that I’m more than spreadsheets and heartbreak?

Wild Card is a standalone novella.

This was a sweet short read about a young stuffy but sexy CEO, Vince, who's a work-a-holic but loves his family. He loves his family but doesn't know how to tell his brother that his fiancee is cheating on him. And the brother's wedding is in 2 days!
Then on a pub crawl for the bachelor party, he meets Sonya the tarot reader. I loved the way she was so calm and comfortable with herself. Vince is the guy with more insecurities. But he's not a womanizer thank goodness.
He talks Sonya into coming with him to the wedding rehearsal and dinner so that she can help to somehow let his brother know about his bride to be.
I felt like Sonya was a wandering stone whose life was guided by magic.
Vince lets her down during the usual '3rd act trouble' but manages to atone in a way that was believable. I loved the little demonstrations that he had paid attention to her as he was falling in love.
The brother's situation was resolved well too.
Anyways, it's very short and safe and hits the spot between longer books. The perfect amuse bouche.

Vince and Sonya are a classic example of “opposites attract”. It starts out that he needs her to help him rescue his brother from what’s sure to become a terrible marriage, but Vince quickly discovers that what she’s really helping him with is learning how to let go and prioritize something other than his work. Sonya’s certain that their association won’t be good for her in the least – her tarot cards are telling her so. Are they doomed to suffer the fate of the Three of Swords, or will they heed the warning and make changes before it’s too late? Oh my gosh! That was just so adorable. This may have been a quick read, but I was pulled in right away and I kind of wish it had been much longer. I’ve started to fall in love with these characters and I’m hoping that we’ll get to come back and visit them again in the future.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.

This is a sweet short story. Vince ends up in a psychic shop while attending his brothers bachelor party. He is instantly drawn to Sonya. After a grim card reading he asks her for some help never knowing what the cards had in store for both of them. This is a great quick read and look forward to more by this author

Kelsey Gamble is a new author to me, and I really enjoyed this short story by her. Vince is a workaholic, but taking time off for his brother's bachelor party ends up with him having a psychic reading at Wanda’s Psychic Readings and everything changes for him from there.

Wild Card is a fast-paced story but I was drawn in from the very first page. I absolutely loved Sonya and Vince's chemistry from the start; they are the cutest couple. If you love a short story, with a great plot, and intriguing characters then this is definitely one for you.

Soyna is a witch. When Vincent bumps into her and gets his fate read during his brother's bachelor party, he can't stop thinking about her. He thinks about her so much that he asks for Sonya's aid in revealing the affair that his soon-to-be sister-in-law is having. The two work together, but they can't avoid their own feelings getting in the way.

I thought this was a sweet romance novella with a little magic to make everything better.

I was kindly provided with an ARC by the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

Wild Card by Kelsey Gamble is a tasty bite-sized novella with a happily ever after ending.
Prepare to meet Vince, the best man, and Sonya, the psychic. Sparks are about to fly, but can they get past what the cards have in store?
Wild Card is a short novella with a whirlwind romance. The pacing is decent throughout the novella. The author does a good job at keeping you engaged. The characters play their parts well. However, as to be expected with whirlwind romances expectations are made by one and then when they aren’t met, things go left. With books that have longer storylines and more development this situations work. With short novellas, it just makes the character look trite.
This book is short, sweet and has a bit of steamy with a nice dose of karma. If you’re a fan of this author and love whirlwind romance then you’re going to enjoy this book.
I’m choosing to rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Vince is at his brother's bachelor party and really isn't feeling it. With the wedding just a couple of days away he has been hiding a secret about the bride, a secret he really needs to tell his brother but doesn't know how. Then the rest of the group drag him into a small shop where he and his brother are called forward for a card reading.
Sonya, a witch is filling in at her friends shop when she feels the cards pull towards Vince and his brother. After their cards a card also calls to her. The card of heartbreak. Will Vince be responsible for her heartbreak?
This is the second book I have read from Kelsey Gamble and although it was quite different from the previous one I actually enjoyed it even more. It is a short instalove novella and even though I don't usually expect too much from short books this really hit the mark. I hope the author follows this up with a story about Caleb because the potential is there and if so I will definitely read it

I read a copy of this story that was included in the anthology Call of Magic: A Limited Edition Collection of Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, and Paranormal Romances. The following is a slight edit my original review there:

This was a story from the Wanda's Psychic Readings series and followed the 36-year-old MC Vince as he was dragged along during his brother Caleb's bachelor party to see a tarot card reader FMC Sonya. I am usually not into insta-lust and insta-love, but I liked that the relationship between Vince and Sonya wasn't an easy HEA, and the grovelling for a minor mistake was super cute. I would be interested in checking out the rest of the author's work.

Wild Card: Wanda’s Psychic Readings by Kelsey Gamble was a super fun short insta love romance that will you begging for more!

When Vince’s brother Caleb, and his entire bachelor party, ends up in a tarot card shop to get their cards read, our handsome MC Vince gets more than he was anticipating when he comes face-to-face with Sonya, a psychic witch with a talent for Tarot reading and of course real honest to goodness magic. While Vince may be skeptical at first, he is instantly drawn to Sonya and can’t seem to stay away, and their connection starts to grow.

I absolutely loved Sonya and Vince and need more of these fabulous characters and their chemistry and connection! I enjoyed the unique plot and fabulous characters, making this is a definite must read novella!!

A whirlwind short story romance.

Very easy read and since it was a short story a quick story line. I felt like Vince’s adoration for Sonya was a little rushed, but it was a short story. I loved Sonya from first second and her character felt very developed for a short story. I also really like her easy confidence. I almost wish this was longer or perhaps a series. The world building was simple since it was a short story, but you got a very good sense of the characters and where they were at in their lives. I really liked Vince’s mom and think she would have been very funny in a longer story or series.

Everyone deserves a little magic!

I've read a few heavier books recently, so this quick, fun read was a great change of pace. After all, everyone needs a little magic! Vince is out on his brother's bachelor party, when they decide to visit a tarot reader. Despite not believing in that kind of magic, it's clear that she knows more that she should, so he elists her help. It's very much opposites attract, with all the confusion that brings with it, but ultimately a happy ending. And altohugh it's a stand alone novella, I hope we get to see more of their family and friends as there's a few more stories to be told there!

A quick instalove romance read that lets the reader believe in magic

Vince, CEO of a technology security company, has been dragged along for his brother Caleb’s bachelor party to a psychic storefront where he sees Sonya, a tarot card reader and solitary witch, heading toward them. As the story progresses a cryptic reading is given, a cause for the truth is driven, and a choice made could need forgiven. Kelsey Gamble’s Wild Card is a quick instalove romance read that lets the reader believe in magic.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

This author is new to me, and this book seemed like an interesting introduction. I was immediately drawn into this one with the antics of Vince and his brother’s bachelor’s party attendees. While Vince was a little too enthralled with Sonya to love him, I still loved his interactions with her. And Sonya was just a great character; I loved her all the way through. This was a fun little, short story, and I hope that the author writes more in this universe. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I enjoyed this Novella. This is my 1st book by Kelsey. I will have to check out her other work. If you enjoy magic and tarot cards. Vince is out on the town with his brother for his brothers bachelor party. His brother takes him in to a shop. In the shop they get their cards read by Sonya. Vince really likes Sonya. He come back later and convinces her to help him try and stop his brothers wedding. Will they succeed in stopping the wedding? Will Vince stop working so much and give Sonya a chance at a relationship? Read the book to find out.

Vince and his brother Caleb are pushed into getting a tarot card reading on the night of Caleb's bachelor party. Right away there is an instant pull to the reader, Sonya, and that feeling won't let go. Sonya has plans to leave her current location but fate has her holding on to something or someone.

This is a charming, quick read that will hook you in from the start. It is a novella but it has so much packed into it. A great story to get lost to for a short time and will leave you with a big cheesy grin at the end!

I enjoyed this really quick read and I liked the storyline and the characters even though it was quick you still got a good look at the characters, however I would of given 5 stars except it was too short and too quick I know was a quick read etc so Insta love type thing but it did seem bit to quick on everything I really would enjoy this even better if it was a bigger read or even a series ! It could be elaborated on so much more especially. I would read again for sure if it ever got extended more as I really did enjoy the storyline and story.

Just when you think the full spread has been laid out, the tables turn, cards are flipped, and a wild card joins the divination of fate. Wild Card is the perfect opposites attract, fated mate, novella for anyone who needs a quick happy romance to pull one’s heart back together after reading a heart shattering dark romance, especially one that may currently have left you on a cliffhanger. You know the book I’m talking about. Be honest. We’ve all been there. This is definitely one novella I will be recommending to my friends the next time they have found themselves in the same position.

Don't let the magical pretense fool you. This is a love story from beginning to end. Certainly there is magic woven throughout - it's a much better story because of that. But this is a story about a man and a woman finding each other if difficult circumstances. Certainly they have to move past these difficulties to make the story come true.

If you love romance with a little magic give this one a read. You won't be disappointed.

This is my first book by this author and i loved it! It's sweet, funny and just make us want more as we got to love the different characters and don't want to part with them.

I admit the steamy part was happening a bit to early for my taste as they don't know each others yet but let's say it's the magic fault. It's well written and we are immersed into the story so we can't stop before the end

really a sweet novella with a HEA

This is a new to me author, and I was tickled by this story. Live can pop up out of nowhere and surprise us all. For Vince the workaholic, taking time off for his brother’s bachelor party is not what he wants to do on a Thursday night. Taking a group of drunk groomsmen into a psychic’s shop doesn’t even register as a no. But then. Filled with laughs and the intensity of fate taking things in hand, this is a delightful read for anyone.

Really enjoyable short story. I loved this and I honestly wished it was a longer book!
I do love psychics, tarot cards and magic so this was definitely a book for me.
The story follows Vince a workaholic who is on his brothers bachelor party, when they decide to go to a psychic here he meets Sonya (who BTW is an amazing FMC) who he is immediately drawn to. He asks for her help and the help leads to more.
Overall a really good read but I do wish their was more!

Vince & Sonya & a little magic

This is a short sweet read about Vince & Sonya. It is a dual POV. Vince is out with his brother & his brother's friends for a bachelor party when they go to Wanda's for a card reading. Sonya is the witch of duty and does a reading for Vince & his brother, Caleb.

Vince is a suit wearing, workaholic & Sonya is a free spirited tarot card reading witch. I really enjoyed the mixture of the two together. This is an instalove that is so good.

Gamble gives us a great novella/short read that is well written and captivating. Our main characters are Vince and Sophie. Vince is in town as the best man to a wedding and meets psychic Sophie. These are opposites who are inexplicably attracted. Great, smooth flowing story line with a HEA that is sure to delight!

I received a free copy of this read and I provided this voluntary review.

I actually really enjoyed this little novella, it reads as a contemporary but with the barest hint of magic.

It's a romance book from beginning to end with an enjoyably cute meeting with minor caper involved too.

I would have been quite happy to learn more about Vince and Sonya but what we got was thoroughly enjoyable and I would certainly read a book for Caleb if the author writes one.

Magic, tarot cards, psyquics.. a fated encounter.. I really enjoyed reading this book. The story and the language caught me - I need a good pace in the story to really enjoy a book, and this one did. Only thing is that it was too short! When I was really into the story I realized I had 2 chapters left to read!🤦‍♀️

This book was an amazing read that grabbed me and would not let me put it down until the last page was read. It moves along at a pace which is perfect for the flow of the story. It has interesting characters that you want to know and you cannot help but love, no matter what happens. This book needs to be read and at the top of your TBR list, you will not be sorry that you did.
