Luck has always been on my side. I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth and the world laid at my feet for the taking. I didn’t take it.
Even so, luck kept coming. I turned my silver spoon into a gold one. Still I didn’t care, had no real plan for my future. It would just happen for me like everything else, right? No problem.
Until her.
Savannah Moreau is the one thing in my life that doesn't come easy. She's also the only thing I've ever truly wanted. With the sheltered life she's led, I'll have to show her she can trust me. I know I’ll never be worthy of her, but I’ll happily spend my life working on it.
But my luck has finally run out. I'm not the only one who wants my precious Savannah and everything she has.
She needs protecting, and I intend to show her that I'll keep her--and her heart--safe.
If you enjoy insta love romances with big, hulky possessive heroes who go out of their ways to kidnap and then woo their heroines, this is the book for you. There is loads of dirty talk, almost sex scenes before the actual ones, breeding and HEA.
°Virgin heroine °The hero is very experienced but has been celibate for a while °Switching POVs °Older man/younger woman °Insta love/lust °Unwanted attention from OW (hero's assistant) °Slight OM drama °No cheating or scenes with OP °No separation °Epilogue: several years later
Haven't had a chance yet to try out the first book but now that I've given this a try, I can safely tell you that if you're planning on reading that after Pure Gold, just don't bother. Because -
A. They spoil the climax of “Priceless #1” in the first quarter itself.
B. The leads from #1 are frequent visitors here, given the fact that all 4 are close friends. So whatever HEA extension you would've wanted for the couple, well, you can get it here.
And BECAUSE IT WAS PICKED UP from where the previous novel was left off from (believe it, it was made very obvious), the H comes off as quite an a-hole at the beginning while h just seems like she's suffered through hell and is more than ready to let H just control everything for her. Other than that, it's almost the same flowery story with a HEA.
This is a good one, sweet, with a J/P hero I didn't give more stars because we don't get to see how they meet.. but now reading Olivia and Jason book we get to see what happened exactly with this couple too, but i still feel left out. I mean we really really needed to have those chapters from their point of view HERE. With that few weeks off page i couldn't connect more with them. But i still enjoyed it,and loved them together.
We already got a glimpse of H and h from the 1st story. H proved that he was all in in this relationship though he was rude sometimes. A little misunderstanding but everything turned out well.
Safe No cheating unwanted OW (H's secretary) unwanted OM (man secretly marries the h with fake paperwork) virgin gal celibate but former man whore H (that is what brought down my rating...I hate players/former player Heroes) Lots of sex only between H and h He does love her and it shows, but I still cannot help but see him in his past life, easily flirt and fuck other women, even though it is in his past, it ruins a hero so I was not invested in their love story. It would have been a game changer if Archie was more like Jason in the first book. push away from h no separation HEA Will not read again.
Best friends falling in love with best friends at first sight? What more could you ask for! I love that when the guys first saw their women they claimed them on the spot, & then went to work on winning them over. Archer was gone for Vee instantly, but he had to put in a bit more work to win her over so they could get their HEA.
Pure Gold was a safety guaranteed romance so no need to worry because both Arch & Vee are infatuated with each other. Their chemistry was amazing, and the steamy scenes were pretty high on the spicy scale 🌶. The story was awesome, and I’m glad we got to see more of Vee & Olivia’s hilarious friendship. This book struck gold just like book 1!
This little story is cute and hot. An ex-marine with an eye on some property finds a girl living in a trailer and falls head over heels in love with her. The funny thing is that he is tough and harsh, so he claims her in very dominant ways. Of course, he would never do anything to hurt her, so he protects her in every way he can.
I liked this story. It's easy and enjoyable. Archer's inner dialogue is all about her innocence, her beauty and her need to be protected. She, on the other hand, is shocked at first at his bossy ways, but she feels drawn to him and protected from her uncertain life. The story has a couple of hot scenes, an evil lurking in the shadows, an overprotective man, and a good friend for some fun girl time.
Pure Gold is the second book in the "Priceless" series. I'd say Pure Gold is an insta-love romance novella with some steamy scenes thrown in there.
In this book, we meet our FMC Savannah and MMC Archer. Archer has a.. a pretty good life... In his own words, he was born with a "silver spoon his mouth." He had all the luck in the world.. and then he meets Savannah... and she doesn't come to him as easily as he's used to.
If you're into alpha possessive men who will get their way no matter what it takes, Archer is your guy. The spicy scenes were hot. There's some kinks thrown in here like breeding, which makes this book even hotter. I think I liked this one better than book one!
Now Savannah and Archer get their HEA. This was a sweet, steamy hot, romantic ,safe and J/P alpha hole story with a sweet HEA and a whole lot of trouble😍😍😍😍 Savannah is the One for Archer and he fall hard and fast. He is overprotective, sweetly jealous and dominant too 😉 I loved how the two of them were bantering back and forth. It was a fun read with action and romance with great characters and a sweet HEA. 😍😍😍😍 I really hope we get Pinks and Kanes story 👍👍👍👍
Not sure how you do it but your heroines get weaker and weaker with every release. A paragraph was all it took for her to forgive him? I’ll be unsubscribing from your mailing list because I am so fucking done with the your doormats. Best of luck with finding a backbone for your girls.
Manwhore H. Too much dialogue about how easy it was to get OW into his bed. He kinda compared Savanna to them and how he liked his women experienced before.
OW drama with his secretary who wants to fuck him
Their connection was really weak and he didn’t treat Savanna well. She was really a doormat and had body betraying syndrome most of the time when he would disrespect her or make her feel less than compared to his other women.
0/5 Really disappointed in Lucy for this one. It was horrible.
This was odd. It was fine and whatever … but for a short, too much of the story happens off page. Which leads the reader to believe that this is a follow up? That it is meant to fill in holes instead of tell a story? And maybe you do have to read this after Jason/Ollie’s story - although not marked that way - to understand what is going on and all the confusing backstory?
Idk. I read this because it was recommended in one of the FB groups …. And it was fine. But just that, just fine. 🤷🏻♀️
Archer has never let a woman into his life and never even thought about getting married and having babies. Then he lays eyes on a beautiful, young woman named Savannah. But there are lots of complications when it comes to these two being together, not to mention the secrets that are being kept by Archer. Will he get the girl in the end, start reading this fabulous story right now to find out.
Plot: Archer wasn't a big believer in church or religion, but when the preacher's granddaughter, Savannah, showed up, he became a big believer in love. He's moving slowly with Savannah, but he's also keeping a big secret from her. The problem is that he's not the only one scheming behind the scenes, and Savannah might actually be in danger. It's up to Archer to win the girl, keep her safe, and ear her forgiveness.
Commentary: This one surprised me a little (I haven't read the first in the series, I accidentally skipped around). I didn't think I would ever see a MC in a Lucy Darling. I do like that she didn't go very hardcore at all with it; that is definitely not why I read Lucy Darling stories (not that it's my job to dictate what she writes, but she does have a certain aesthetic). Archer didn't seem that invested in the MC though, and neither did his friend (the pres of the club). It always surprises me when characters have these two very distinct sides to them, like CEO and MC vice-pres, in Archer's case. I couldn't get a good feel for how old Archer was, and I was missing that a little. Savannah and her best friend Ollie were adorable though, and they seemed young enough that it made me think this was an age-gap story, although I couldn't say for certain.
This was okay. I don't know, I'm in a book funk lately. I love this author, but I haven't been a fan of her heroes lately. This was I especially didn't care for. He seemed to me, and this is just my opinion, that he was a bit of a man whore back in the day. I was hoping for dual virgins here...but nope. Once again we have the naive, innocent virgin and the experienced (a little too in my opinion) "hero". Yuck. Please authors, either put them on the same playing field or both virgins. This trope is played out. I can't even count how many books I've read in the past two weeks that have this trope in and from some of my favorite authors too! I'm just a bit tired of it.
I was really excited for this one after reading Jason and Olivia's story. I don't know if I thought we'd get a little BDSM or maybe a little darker sex, but there was nothing different from any of Lucy Darling's other books. Which would be fine...except it's constantly mentioned throughout the first and this book that Archer has a darker side that he keeps hidden. A side that Jason knows about and that sweet naïve Savannah can see. (see the sarcasm and eye roll there?)
A lot of the "meat" of this story seems to happen off page and isn't what I'm used to at all with this author. I get wanting to give reader a sweet and happy read, but there wasn't much here to read beyond love scenes and Archer's jealous rampages. Because of this it makes it real hard for me to believe the feelings these two seem to have for each other.
Also...are we just going to leave a reader hanging about Archer's assistant? She does what she did which sends Savannah running and Archer threatens her job, but we never find out anything!! And don't even get me started on Savannah forgiving Archer for keeping everything from her within a paragraph. Too naïve and sweet.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book**
I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a couple of exceptions. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Felicity was a jealous witch that purposely hurt Savannah just because she didn’t get her way. William was a greedy, selfish jerk that deserved the comeuppance he received and then some. Savannah (Vee) and Archer met when Savannah and her best friend Olivia went to a party at the Ravens MC. Olivia ended up with Jason, Archer’s best friend while Savannah was claimed by Archer. She had a hard time with her feelings for Archer and tried to push him away. Archer had a hard time with his feelings for Savannah but his was more about restraint than denial or anything else. Archer was super protective, possessive, an over the top when it came to Savannah. Savannah also discovered that she was possessive when it came to Archer. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.
Lucy gives a reader an engaging, fun and steamy read. At times you can't help but laugh at our leading lady and what she tends to think and blurt out at times.
I always find the female leads relatable. There is nothing false about them, the innocence they portray is real and I don't mean that literally. No she makes them likeable. And lately that's what I've been craving, a realness in the stories.
The males though Alpha with a capital A, she manages to combine that with a strength of character that is appealing. They have this aura about them, its hard to put it into words but what she does create ticks everyone of my boxes when looking for my happily ever after.
Pure Gold is the story of Archer and Vee or Savannah.
Boy obsessed, stalkerish alpha hero, virgin sassy queen boss heroine, he’s jealous and possessive and UGH he makes me want to yell his name fr. Anyways I love LD so much like with her books she doesn’t make them too short but also not too long and it has plot and spice and you can see the love written perfectly. The plot revolves around her grandfathers land and William her unexpected ex husband wanted that land for himself and her too and she didn’t know she was married until the end where she was nearly killed by him and of course Archer did the 🔫.
I thought that this was a great book. I am so glad that we got Archer and Vee's book. These two have undeniable chemistry and an amazing connection but it actually scares them a bit. Arch has never had to work for anything in his life but now, he is working on getting and keeping the one woman who makes him want to be better. I loved this book and I can't wait for Ms. Lucy's upcoming books! I would highly recommend this book and Ms. Lucy as must read author.
I received a free e-book copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Fast, easy, sweet and swooney the best way I can describe this book. I sat down and read it one go. The instant connection from the moment they met had me wanting more and I was so excited they got their own book. Lucy darling did an amazing job. Their chemistry is off the charts but the twists that followed kept me captivated. I cannot wait to read more of this series because Lucy always makes me want more. She’s one of my one click authors and again she didn’t disappoint.
Archer and Savannah are the perfect illustration of opposites attract. Savannah is sweet and innocent, a beautiful girl who calls to Archer's soul. Archer might be a business man now but his time in the Marines hardened him. He has a darkness in him that kept him apart from everyone except his friend Jason. Now he has Savannah in his life and he is determined to make her his. Savannah doesn't believe a man like Archer could possibly want her for forever. Just delightful, I loved this couple so much, 5 stars!
Savannah has been pretty much alone since losing her mom - her grandfather took her in but basically ignored her. So her best friend Olivia and her family have become Vee's family. The girls do everything together including meeting Jason and Archer. Archer - who becomes obsessed with Savannah and Jason, who claims Olivia. There is heat and humour, some misunderstandings and a little OW drama. But also lots of love - Archer is all in with Savannah and she becomes the best version of herself with his support.
