Archer Hale. Arrogant. Infuriating. And totally hot.
When I find out I’m attending a writers’ conference with Archer Hale, aka Mr. Big Shot, I’m less than thrilled.
He’s arrogant, infuriating, and totally hot. He thinks the thrillers he writes are way more important than my silly little romance novels. And maybe he’s right – his career is taking off, while mine is a complete disaster.
But whatever. I can get through one weekend with him, especially since I’m counting on this conference to jumpstart my floundering career.
What I didn’t count on is getting snowed in with him. Just the two of us. Alone in the hotel. No escape, no way out.
And I definitely didn’t count on the one hot night we spent together. How much I love kissing him, how much I love his hands all over my body, even though I definitely don’t love him.
Things might be cold outside, but inside, they’re heating up.

Dropped by both her publisher and agent in the last six months, Sienna Martin is under pressure to attend a writer’s conference and it begins to snow heavily before she even gets there. The road is already slippery. A huge SUV comes up behind her and drives dangerously close to her bumper… probably not happy with her less than 20 mph overly-cautious driving. She pulls over so he can pass, makes a hand gesture at him, and sees Archer Hale carrying his suitcase in when she gets there. He is an amazingly successful author, very handsome, but his personality is awful. He must be the “surprise guest keynote speaker” the conference has been dangling in front of the authors to lure them in.
As Sienna was lost in thought in front of her room’s door, Archer spoke behind her and made her jump. He tried to be friendly, but she was snippy and said she didn’t read his kind of book so wasn’t familiar with his writing. He had made a comment once about the quality of romance and mystery books, so this was her chance to get him back for the insult. But when she goes to the bar for a drink, he is there too. After the 4th drink, she talks to him and they are getting along well. When she returns from the ladies room, the bartender is leaning close to him flirting, so she heads for the elevator. He immediately gets up and comes after her, inviting her to his room for a nightcap. On the way up, he kisses her and she knows she is in for deep trouble with this man… sigh.
I was prepared to be grumpy with this short little snippet, but the reader can easily get lost among the enjoyable pages. I am definitely ready to move on to the next in the series. This was really good!
This is the first part in the well written Snowed In With Mr. Big Shot Series by Kelly Favor which features Sienna a romance author dropped by her agent and publisher who must attend a conference for writers, and Archer Hale (AKA Mr. Big Shot), a highly successful author who is the keynote speaker. Both authors are having difficulty writing their next books. Archer once made a negative comment about romance authors so when he meets Sienna the negative banter begins between the two. But their tense relationship begins to warm up after an evening of drinking at the snowbound mountain resort. This is a fantastic introduction to the characters and storyline for the series.

So far this snippet has been nice. It’s a quick and easy read that took me only a few minutes to finish. It’s been a good foundation for what’s coming. The main character is relatable, and the love interest is interesting so far. I’m looking forward to where this goes. I’ve given it only four stars due to it being only three chapters.

Snowed In With Mr. Big Shot (Part One) This is a really quick read. The characters have chemistry and try to stay away from each other but get snowed in together. Good start to the series.

There’s a conversation for writers in a mountain resort. Weather is supposed to be good. Sienna needs to change her mind set. Her last book didn’t do very well. Maybe this will help.
