After years of discomfort and frustration, this program has provided me with a newfound sense of relief and hope. One of the most impressive aspects of this program is the comprehensive insights it offers into TMJ disorder. Sandra Carter doesn't just scratch the surface; she delves deep into understanding the causes, symptoms, and triggers of TMJ. This knowledge was enlightening and empowering. I was drawn to "TMJ No More" because of its natural and holistic approach to treating TMJ. Instead of relying on medications or invasive procedures, the program focuses on dietary adjustments, exercises, and relaxation techniques that promote self-healing. This approach resonated with my desire for non-invasive and sustainable solutions. I appreciated that "TMJ No More" recognizes that TMJ can manifest differently in individuals. This book helped me very much as it gives the TMJ sufferer a very deep, almost scientific understanding of how the symptoms came about and how they can also be made better. I bought this book out of desperation due to a painful TMJ flare up looking for relief. This book is packed full of information I never knew and provides many excellent neck, back and jaw exercises that TRULY help relieve and fingers crossed prevent future or furthering TMJ issues and pain. The book is great in teaching you how to chew, breathe, swallow, sit at a desk, stand, sleep and all the other activities we spend most of our day doing and therefore adapting these habits is essential for improvement of TMJ. If you are experiencing quite strong pain, however, I would definitely recommend pairing this with seeing a medical professional regularly as well as deep tissue massage of neck and upper back. Also try some self-massage tools every evening for a few minutes followed by applying heat to relax the muscle afterwards.
For me, I went all over the place looking for a helpful book on TMJ. Just as I was about to give up, I spotted this on in the Kindle Edition and bought it. It is truly worth every penny. You see I have TMJ but what I would call occasional TMJ that I get in times of stress and visits to my dentist's office (holding my open for a long period of time causes another TMJ episode for 2 to 3 weeks after I go to the dentist). This book is a truly a lifesaver! May I suggest chapter 6 to read first: Herbal and Home Remedies (read this first), this chapter has so many ways to relieve the pain and also even prevent at attack. Explains how to massage (gently) the jam. Also I found about these special herbs that help with TMJ: St Johns Wort, Ginger and Catnip (and others) would help with the inflammation and there are special do not do's that will prevent a bad flareup of TMJ such as chewing gum, avoiding hard foods, and more... Also found TMJ Relief with exercises, some I found very helpful.
