“The simplicity of Elsie's latest book is refreshing and engaging. I noticed my brain would occasionally look for something more, but then Elsie’s stories would gently bring me back to my true nature and I see how uncomplicated life can actually be if I let it. Once again I am given an opportunity to see Truth a little deeper and with fresh eyes. And as the title suggests – the stories continue to remind us that we already know the answers to all our questions. This book points beautifully to our Divine intelligence and the natural wisdom present in all humans, no matter what's going on in the world or our current circumstances.
“Throughout this book you can really feel the wisdom of 40+ years of living in this understanding. There is a lightness of spirit in Elsie's writing and perspective that I really appreciate. A gem of a book.”
Anna Debenham, Director of a prison program/organization in Portland
What a drag. While the opening concept about nature of god is very true, the rest of the book seems like a lot of rambling about nothing. It’s too frivolous, too unnecessary embellished, even though it’s non fiction, a lot of the time it just reads like fiction, and not in a good way. A lot of talk, little substance.
I was skimming through because I struggled to maintain focus. Then author finally lost me when she said that instead of focusing on what is wrong with the spouse, we should focus on what is right and solutions will present themselves. LOL. This is how I ended up in 6 year long relationship with a diagnosed narcissist and wrecked my mental health (I am not even being dramatic, the situation is very serious). If I were to focus on the wrong, I might have faced the reality and walked away before it was too late.
Bottom line, this is another “expert” clumsily retelling knowledge gained from someone else, in a “one fit all” and “circumstances and context are irrelevant” kind of manner.
This is an inane little book that overdoes the sweetness and light. It is a dull read, superficial with really nothing in terms of information or instruction. Probably best to read the worknof her mentor rather than this lightweight dribble.
