WHY DOES IT HAVE SUCH A LOW RATING THIS WAS AMAZING!!
I'm hooked by the art. That's first that comes to mind, and second is how I love to read an omegaverse where the suppressant work. I'm so close to giving up on finding stories that had those. And that this was an yakuza story made every thousand times better!!!

A mafia, dark omegaverse yaoi/BL manga with Childhood friends to lovers, Bodyguard x Heir, angst, drama & action!
I read this in an hour, it's cute but it's quite angsty & this world isn't accepting of omegas as mafia bosses but our Yoshi is a fighter 🙌. The set up is amazing.
Yoshiharu is a badass short-tempered & honest Omega (boss heir of Yakuza).
Makoto is his calmer rock, servant(/bodyguard?) "beta" (not really lol, hidden alpha more like).
It's more so a childhood friends (long time coming!) to lovers. I liked the characters, the depth.
Yos was told to find a mate & produce an heir within the year... But then he smells his true mate. Who? But M says he isn't worthy?! It's a bit angsty, emotional there isn't as much romance (no time remained 😅) but I liked it. The flashbacks helped! The repeated druggings were off putting ngl, the other mafia alpha heirs are ASSHOLES. Granny too for finding such guys 😑. Action revenge is best!
The artstyle is good but rough, which fits the aesthetic of story. Y+M's relationship is kinda cute. M can be quite sacrificial (I get why), but I liked that Y let him choose Y himself. Tho I do think M should have let Y chose M & not chose for him too. Atleast M understands that at end. It's satisfying & hot when they get together! I'd have liked if this was longer & we saw them after marriage too, it's HEA tho! There's only vol 1, alas. I liked how supporting the mafia crew is.
I'd previously given it a 9/10 but I changed it to 8/10 on further thinking it (as I was oscillating between 8-9).

There wasn't a lot of romance, but I still liked this couple and the setting. There was a scene that was borderline rape(not from the MC alpha), and it wasn't really clear if the omega was saved in time. For these reasons 4.5 stars and not 5, but it was a nice reading about fated mates.

Me gusto muchísimo, no se porque no es tan valorado :(. Es la primera vez que leo un manga omegaverse de gangsters y fue una joya en su temática. El hecho de que a Yoshiharu se le niegue su derecho como próximo jefe y sea obligado a casarse solo por su condición de omega, es un paralelismo muy interesante con la discriminación de genero en cargos de poder (y bueno a final de cuentas es una de los objetivos en los omegaverse... además de servir de excusa para matrimonios arreglados jaja).
Al alfa yo lo amo, y también al omega. Ay es que están tan bien balanceados porque encajan perfectamente juntos, son la imagen literal de lo que el otro busca en un ser amado. Me hubiera gustado ver mas de su relación en el pasado no solo de niños, quería ver mas de como se enamoraron o cuando se dieron cuenta. Siento que desde el inicio te deja con esa premisa, que ambos se aman pero no lo dicen y la historia simplemente espera que lo asumas.
Debo admitir que esperaba un beta x omega y eso hubiera sido una historia perfecta por el potencial que manejan ese tipo de tropos, pero este igual estuvo lindo ya que terminaron siendo sus predestinados. Y lo más hermoso es que antes de que Yoshiharu quiere desaparecer a su predestinado antes de saber que era Makoto. Pues sin importar quien haya sido ese alfa pues Yoshiharu solo quería a Makoto.
Algo que tambien me gusto fue ver este omega todo poderoso y belicoso, es un diferente del cliché incluso en apariencia... sin embargo tambien crea su propio tipo de cliché jajaja. Me encanto la confesión de Makoto y cuando marca a su amorcito... ay fue tan romántico todo.
Algo que no me agrado, pero es que no me suele a agradar generalmente es el recurso de la droga inductora, es algo recurrente y no es mi taza de te. Además que siempre se usa como medio para una escena de non-con.
Pd: Los tatuajes de Makoto me shockearon jaja, algo que no me esperaba. Tremendo.

It checks so many boxes for me:

Friends to lovers, “it’s always been you” ✅
That flat, dead eye look on the darker haired character & the wild, crazy look in the lighter haired character dynamic ✅
They’re both more than a little unhinged ✅
Sleazy alphas that cross the line (drugging & attempted SA) getting what’s coming to them, instant & ruthless justice style ✅
Boss Granny is a badass too ✅
The angsty parts hit hard but the steamy parts do too. Seriously the balance is so good and the way the mangaka fits it all in a single volume is nothing short of genius imo.

This had the potential to be good but it suffered from the same problem I have with a lot of mangas—the "not-enough-chapters" syndrome. The premise is funny and the dynamic is cute but it lacks romantic scenes to give the readers a reason to care about the main characters' situation.
The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because this manga does a good job of not bastardizing the characters (I guess). With the omega verse, I'm just sick of seeing the omega to be a glorified s#x d0ll, so this was a breath of fresh air.

Pretty cute! The typical tropes from ABO stories, but I liked that this was one focused on the autonomy of omegas. The MC isn't interested in being robbed of choice because of his status and the love interest is focused on making sure he honors that.

Been a while since the last time I read something due to busy internship schedule, business, and moving out... But going with Yaoi will always be the way. Loving this so much, the omegaverse theme feels fresh and fun! Loving the dynamic between the couple!
