Kat's story was unexpected and pretty darn shocking. It bled emotion and pain. You felt everything that this young woman was dealing with. So much was weighing her down and she was looking for an escape - whether that be at the hands of a man or at the bottom of a bottle. She is hurting, drowning in her silent sorrow. Does anyone really see just how broken of a shell she is? People take, but what more does she have to give before she's completely lost to her pain... Someone needs to start carrying her burdens for a little while.

The relationships she was yearning for were so close, but kept slipping through her fingers. It was hard to find love when your hot, biker brother has warned everyone away from you. Especially one man who used to be like a brother to him - until something ruined a friendship that was etched in stone.

This story was filled with dirty talking bikers that were almost too hot to handle. Old friends returned and new ones were made. The smexy scenes were so smoking hot! Kat was one lucky lady, if ya know what I mean. Some parts had me shaking my head, some parts made me want to throw my kindle and some parts gave me butterflies.

This was such a good MC book with some MMF action! Kat has grown up in the MC life and has had a forever crush on her brother's ex best friend Styx. Naturally, she is off limits to any of his friends or the MC. Until one night her fantasy comes true and not only do they hook up, but there is another guy thrown into the mix who she does not get to see. She only knows this stranger as Jack. Super hot! She's attracted to another brother Ryder in the MC and things heat up!

Dealing with her sick mom is sad to see in this story but shows another side of Kat. Things rapidly change when she hears someone she knows called Jack and realization hits her. This was a quick read and had some super steamy scenes in it. The story flowed very well and had me turning to the next page.

Another enjoyable read with a spunky Kat and two love interests, Styx and Ryder in a quasi love triangle -- until it wasn't. Kat, best friend of River (in the prior book), was finding her way as she lived with the lonely brought about by constant worry for her sick mother and in the shadow of her over-protective older brother. In his eyes, no man was good enough, especially another MC.

Kat has always had a crush, Styx, somewhat older than her and best friend to her brother. He maintained his distance until irresistible he couldn't when they have a love encounter with his friend Ryder. Although the story is advertised as a ménage, the plot line has to arrive there, and that were all the fun comes into play. Kat experiences an affinity for both and quandary of choice. I liked the back and forth among the three, the guys' jealousy in this semblance of love triangle and subplot of mistaken identity. Both guys are hot and alpha and well-matched to Kat's strength, even with her younger age. As usual, the author brought on the spice. The push and pull and magnetic temptation were sizzling.

Overall, I liked this story, loved the characters, the interplay with the side characters from other series, and gritty motorcycle club and club scene backdrop. Entertaining, spicy read in a stand-alone.

3.5 stars

So let me explain why the 3.5 stars.

I was expecting more to this story maybe at least one additional more book. I felt this story has no conclusion. It gives off a storyline why Styx and Diesel stop speaking because of a woman in their past and Kat being attack but then we never hear about it again. It just jumps from Diesel finding out about their threesome relationship with Kat, Styx and Ryder to that's it. Minute I read there is an epilogue I said...wait...how? There's still so much to the story untold.

Baby, It’s Hot in Here!!

The above title is exactly the feeling you get when reading any of Ms. Dare’s books and Defy lived up to this as well. This was an intense read with real life issues happening that brought two families to grasp what is really important in life. It was heartbreaking at times watching them deal with the situation their loved ones were in.

Kat has to deal with her big brother, who is the Prez of the Red Ridge Sinners MC, and thinks that no one is good enough for his sister. Well, when Diesel thinks one guy is too much what is going to do when its two guys who want Kat in their lives and are these guys able to handle sharing?!

This author has given me hot, multiples for a few books now and it seems I crave them every time a new one comes out. I do like to think of them in their early 20’s and 30’s though. I’m a huge fan and cannot wait for the next book to come out.

Despite not having read any of the previous books, this story was crafted quite well, did not feel like I was missing information and to be frank, this has been really good reading experience.
I could not help but be empathetic towards Kat and her family as I can relate to how incredibly difficult it is to come to terms with the fact that you will be losing someone important in your life and there is absolutely nothing that you could do to change things.

What I thoroughly appreciated here was the skilful portraying of the main heroine and the immense struggle she was going through. Kat needed someone in her corner, to feel cherished and supported. Ryder totally delivered on that front and for that alone, he deserves respect and admiration. Styx did have his own ups and downs but eventually he did pull through for Kat. However, the three of them do share something special and it was a pleasure following their journey as they develop strong bonds.

This was a really nice MC story and for sure I will be reading more within this universe.

Katrina ‘Kat’ Walker story alongside Stygian ‘Styx’ Johnson and Ryder ‘Jack’ Montrou may have been chock full of steam. All due to the fact of the fiery steam they seemed to create whenever they would each get with Kat.
However that didn’t take away from the in-depth exploration of their lives, in which Caitlyn Dare made to share from each of their perspectives, given what Kat, Styx and Ryder were dealing with. Whether that be in their personal lives and/or the relationships they shared. We were given a look into their minds with hearing their thoughts, opinions and views, which was important since it played a major part in the story as it led to learning about all that they were enduring and suffering through. Something that wasn’t done so without delving into the emotions and feelings that went along with it. Seeing as the situations and events called for it, ultimately resulting in an overall narrative that was emotionally charged.
With a story that unfolded in being set deep with emotions, you couldn’t help but feel the gut punches come rolling out. Mainly since Caitlyn allowed us to truly get under the characters skins from the layers that were unravelled, due to the multiple POVs that was included in the book.

While Defy was a good read, it didn’t stop me from having issues with the book. Especially given how there were quite a few things that irked me.
One of them was a pattern that seemed to be a reoccurrence from Caitlyn Dare IMO, having happened in the other Red Ridge Sinners MC series.
This was where the FMC and the MC she loves and wants to be with can’t get together because of issues on his part. So a 2nd guy comes along and easily gets the girl, without any trouble. As if handed to him on a silver platter.
All the while the MC has to go through many hurdles and obstacles to prove his love and win her over.
Seeing this play out in Defy annoyed me truly, even more so when the 2nd guy was given a free pass in forgiveness, without even working at it. Where as the MC had to fight like hell to get back in good graces.

While there were times throughout where my heart did break for Kat, having felt sorry for her given what she was going through, enduring and having to suffer through alone at times.
At the same time honest to lawd it didn’t stop me from disliking her even more than liking her.
The fact that she differentiated between Styx and Ryder when it came to certain situations that had them in the same position irritated me a lot. Given that she had no issues punishing one of them by giving him hell to pay from the smack she delivered, whilst allowing the other a free pass in letting him off scotch free more easily and quickly.
It had me angry, so much so that it couldn't be ignored, overlooked or passed over from how much it got to me deep on the inside.
The other issue was there were some loose ties left incomplete with not knowing the answer. Something that would’ve been nice to know, since it ultimately left you hanging given the unknown you were left with at the end.

Honestly while at times Defy had me feeling like Kat didn’t deserve Styx’s given her treatment of him. At the same time, the story had me wishing it was MF with Kat and Styx being endgame. In fact they had me wanting only them two to be together since reading Dare.

All in all, Caitlyn Dare still did a good job with writing Defy.
It was a good read with having a story that bled through the pages with emotions, through the unravelling of the characters who poured it out for you to see and feel.

Not having read any of the previous books set in this gritty MC world I was worried I'd feel left out, but I quickly found myself immersed in the pain of Kat Walker and the love and healing power of Ryder and Styx. This trio kept my emotions on a rollercoaster ride, taking me from heartbreaking lows to moments that made me blush, along with warming my heart. It's a story that was so much more than I first expected and with each turn of the page it became an unforgettable read full of heart and soul...along with LOTS of steam!

From the outside Kat's a sassy spitfire who seems completely in control, the life of the party with not a care in the world. But beneath the surface is a woman clearly hurting, drowning under the weight of uncertainty while watching her mother fade away from an incurable disease. While everyone around her is finding love and happiness, she's having to watch someone she loves leave her slowly and painfully a little more each day. Kat's inner thoughts and feelings about what's happening broke my heart, had me aching for her, and longing for her to find someone to see past her party girl facade.

Enter the sexy Ryder....bartender at the Club's bar and the perfect listener. He's lived a similar life of pain before leaving it behind for the Club and recognizes what Kat's been trying to hide. He slowly becomes her friend, her support and sounding board, but it's not long before their relationship takes a steamier turn. Ryder tries not to act on his feelings at first, knowing that his friend Styx has loved her for a very long time, but he's not the kind of man to deny himself for long. He was just what Kat needed! Loving, caring, with a sensuality that made me melt...a dirty talker that became the highlight of this story for me.

It's an interesting dichotomy that readers find the moment Styx starts stepping up. Styx has craved Kat for years but held back out of deference to her brother which added to Kat's heartbreak as she wanted Styx just as much. His holding back frustrated me at times, not acting on his feelings until Ryder goaded him made me think a bit less of Styx. Despite my feelings though he was definitely the final piece to this triad as he made groveling sexy. The three of them together were sizzling, emotionally engaging, and watching them grow closer together showed a relationship full of heart and soul.

On a whole I found this a thoughtful story depicting the reality of watching a loved one die. Kat's raw emotions pulled me in and had me rooting for her to find moments of happiness. Ryder is so much more than what he first seems. He's more than just a gritty fun-loving biker, he's a man willing to open his heart and lavish love and support on the woman he's come to love. Styx is a sexy biker who wants to do right by his (ex) best friend but in the process he's hurt the one woman he wants to claim. It takes him a while but he ultimately earns her love in an act that made me smile. From start to finish this wasn't your usual MC romance, it was a more emotional read that put the MC in the background. It was a steamy read full of heartfelt emotions that ended in an immensely satisfying way that has me wholeheartedly recommending it to others!

Kat is simply put, a hot mess but it's not out of her own making. She's dealing with a lot when it comes to her family, and while she loves her brother, he's a tad overbearing that's for sure. I could absolutely feel her pain leaking out of my kindle, and all I wanted to do was give her a big hug & I'm not a hugger. There are two men who become a big part of her life, one who is her brother's ex best friend, and a gruff biker with a heart of gold. I won't tell you which one was my favorite (and trust me, I ALWAYS have a favorite) as one got off too lightly with boneheaded decisions more than once. I will say that when the three of them got together, HOLY HELL IT WAS HOT HOT HOT! Defy was so addictive that it was impossible to put down as my emotions were done in. If it weren't for the lack of fallout (I'm always down for some a**kicking when I feel wronged LOL) in my eyes for one man's questionable decisions, it would have been the perfect read for me but that's just me, so just decide for yourselves by hitting those one click buttons as I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

As someone who has also experience what Kat is going through it made her struggle that much more intense. She is trying to deal with her escalating emotions but the outlets she sometimes uses have attracted the attention of others. Styx understands her like no one else but they both know that her brother won’t approve of anything beyond friendship between them.

Styx and Ryder are friends, and they have both fallen for the same girl however one has gotten a head start and now the other must try to catch up to claim her attention. They both want her and she wants both of them but will it be a case of threes company or threes a crowd?

Kat, Styx and Ryder take us on an emotional journey as not only are they dealing with the stress of defining the relationship between the three of them but also with the other stresses that are affecting their lives. They each bring something special to the relationship which is what makes it so special.

Ahh finally Kat’s story!!! I’ve been waiting for this lil troublemakers story since we met her! It did not disappoint! My heart hurt for everything Kat had to go through & honestly I’m a lot like her in a lot of ways so I definitely understood how she felt. Honestly seeing Kat’s point of view made me not like Diesel a little bit. I couldn’t imagine feeling that alone & overwhelmed by everything that was going on in her life. So I loved Ryder even more for everything he did for her.

I wanted to junk punch Styx quite a few times, I hated how whiny he was & he definitely didn’t take control of his life & go for what he wanted, which annoyed me. I loved alpha Ryder & how he went after what he wanted & was so sweet with Kat.

This threesome was the perfect balance of personalities & they were definitely steamy together! To be honest I loved Ryder the best. The only thing I wish we had more closure about is the Faith situation… nothing ever got resolved with that.

I loved it. Since I love motorcycle clubs in books, I loved this one. The chemistry was amazing, there was awesome banter and great intimate scenes. Even though the ones with only two of them were not as good as the ones with the three of them. 😅
Kat was sometimes so lonely it broke my heart. Some of her decisions were rash, true, but I understood. It’s hard to be in the position she was and think straight.
Even though the boys f*cked up big time several times, they just love her too much. And her them to give up on each other that easily. I really enjoyed this book. 4 stars. It was fun.

Holy hotness! We have more of the MC we love so much and more. Kat is a mess. She’s worried about her mom and hates being the little sister to her protective older brother. Ryder knows how she feels and can relate to her feelings. Styx is trying to do the right thing and stay away. But when jealousy comes into the mix, Styx takes action. And when Kat realizes what’s going on, she doesn’t know what to think. Ryder, Styx and Kat are all good together. They figure things out so that they can all be happy. If you love MFM, then this is the book for you!

This was a little bit more of an emotional read for me. I know firsthand what a horrible disease MS is, how it can destroy a persons body and family. The FMC Kat is dealing with her moms deteriorating condition and she’s trying not to drown in all of her emotions.
She turns to booze and s3x to make her feel numb and alive at the same time.
She’s in love with Styx, her brothers ex best friend and she thought they were finally going to be together but Styx is running hot and cold with her. He’s worried about what her brother will do if he discovers the truth.
During this Ryder is flirty and showing her attention that she wished Styx would show her.
There is a lot to work through with these 3 but in the end love does truly conquer all. Ends with a HFN.

I just .... I'm sorry but this didn't need to be its own book? Like, what was the point of what I just read besides to give Kat her HEA which could have easily happened in a novella or a little newsletter subscriber perk? Like, I have so many questions (I shouldn't) and I think one of the things that bothers me the most is that Kat TRULY acted her age, unlike the other girls we've seen get their stories. It was easier to forget how much younger the other girls were which made these books easier to digest (since they are such a sketchy age when it comes to the smut level) but for some reason Kat acted even younger than her 17 years on this earth? I get she was suffering but I just didn't vibe with her. And she was way too wishy washy.

I didn't buy Styx and Ryder being that obsessed. Their initial night together still doesn't make sense in my mind (thank god I read the previous books.) I STILL after TWO DIFFERENT SERIES don't understand completely what happened with Styx and Diesel (and how that played into this book was just chaotic.) And it was just so sloppy because there was no reason for literally anything that happened.

I don't know. I didn't love it. It felt tedious and unnecessary and I truly wish it had just been a quick lil novella and not whatever this was.

Defy exceeded any expectations I had for Kat’s story; it was infused with a level of emotions I hadn’t expected. The previous books only showed a fraction of the chemistry between Styx and Kat, but add Ryder into the equation and you get hot AF steam.

I’m again left speechless by the phenomenal talent of this duo. They continue to deliver all-consuming storylines that captivate you from the first page, and it's only an act of nature to put it down until you’ve read every word.

Kat was full of fire, sassy, and on the verge of breaking. She was drowning, gasping for air, as life continued to wreak devastating havoc on someone she loved. It was heartbreaking, and to be honest, as someone who has a progressive disease that has no cure, her thoughts often had me wondering if that’s how my children feel. Needless to say, I felt her fears, her uncertainty, her heartbreak on a much deeper level than I ever dreamed possible. She felt emotions so deeply that oftentimes she felt the only way she would survive was to walk away, a moment to catch her breath before she was able to face another moment of her heartbreaking reality.

Styx was different than I expected, in all the best ways. He mastered the possessive, growly alpha demeanor, but there was more to him than that. A mistake in his teens caused him to lose one of his best friends. He may have made mistakes and even said the wrong thing at times, but it was abundantly clear that when he loved and cared for someone, he would stop at nothing to do anything in his power to protect that person, even if the person he had to protect them from was themselves.

Ryder was a bit of an enigma. He was an alpha AF biker, rough around the edges, and a "what you see is what you get" type, but there was also a part of him that only a select few ever got to see. Beneath all his BA bikerness was a man who played, but he loved harder. Every word he said, every action he took, all of it was laced with heart. He did what it took to get Styx to make a move. When it came to Kat, he could read her in a way that made him 1/3 of her soul. He understood parts of her in a way that nobody else could. A growly, dirty-talking biker with a huge heart, swoony one sentence and melting panties the next. Yes, please.

The chemistry between Kat, Styx, and Ryder was like none other. The way they all fit together was effortless, as though they’d been living with only ⅓ of their soul until the moment they all came together. Kat’s life was crumbling around her. She was drowning. Styx brought her a sense of safe serenity, while Ryder was like a balm on her soul.

My emotions were put through the wringer in a much more potent way than I ever could have anticipated. The weight of the unknown that Kat was drowning in, the fear and anxiety her loved ones felt as they struggled to help her. It was everything. My heart was sliced open, and a part will remain on the pages of this story for eternity. The character’s emotions don’t just bleed through the pages, searing you to the core.

Defy unequivocally defied all the odds and became my new favorite Dare novel. An unputdownable blend of fervid chemistry, a broody alpha hero, a (swoony) alpha AF hero, a sassy (heartbroken) heroine, fraught with emotion on every page, and the steam, well, it gets hotter on every page. You will likely need a new kindle with these dirty talking bikers, the hottest Dare book to date.

Kat is a wild child and I've always loved her for her wild spirit. She is the girl you want to be friends with because she always brings the party, but Defy sheds a light into her out of control behavior and it was much more of an emotional ride than I was expecting. Plus, her mysterious lover is revealed and sorry past BBF's, but Ryder has vaulted over and taken the number one spot.

While Kat always appears to the outside world that she has her life together and is the life of the party, her facade is only because she's masking the pain and loneliness of her life falling apart day by day. While it appears that everyone is falling in love around her, thus leaving her behind in the dust and her mom is fading away with a debilitating disease right before her eyes, Kat has never felt more alone. (The wild child of the three and by far the glue that holds them all together)

Ryder is one of the few people who notices the mask she wears, as he has a similar situation at home. Offering up his friendship, which soon turns to more, he never meant to fall for her, especially when his best friend has been waiting to make a move for months, but some things just can't be helped, especially when it comes to his Kitten. (He is fun, a total dirty talker, doesn't take life too seriously, but also the caretaker, which made him the perfect fit for this triad)

Styx has been patiently waiting for the right time to make Kat his, but nothing ever seems to go his way. However, when he finds out that his best friend, Ryder, has been spending time with his girl it pushes him to go after her, but what she's wanting, what she suggests, he's not sure he can give. (He is focused, intense, straightlaced, and a total rule follower...most of the time)

Defy is definitely full of hot men and lots of spicy good times, but unlike some of the other MC books in this series that are packed with suspense and bad guys, this particular book is full of emotional punches and lots of tears. I really enjoyed the different mix with this story, especially knowing Kat from previous books and that she was going to need special guys by her side with her particular journey.

Defy is a standalone in the Red Ridge Sinners series, but enjoyed more when read right along with the other books.

First, I want to start by saying to make sure you read the novella Dare before reading this. We get some back-story and it gives us a glimpse into Kat & Styx’s complicated relationship, leading us into Defy.

I absolutely loved this book. We first meet Kat in the Red Ridge Sinners series, which is her best friend River’s story. Styx is her brother’s ex-best friend, who is older and way off limits but the attraction and chemistry between them is undeniable but he tries to do the right thing and stay away from his friend’s little sister. After giving in one night, he promises he will talk to her brother, Diesel. After breaking said promise, leaving her heartbroken, she decides to keep her distance. She is going through a lot emotionally. Between Styx lying to her, her brother dating River and dealing with the fact that her Mom is suffering and declining from MS. She is feeling very lonely watching all that is going on around her. With no one to turn to, she secretly takes comfort in an MC member, but he too is off limits. Ryder is going through something similar to her. He has a sick brother, so he understands her pain and fears, giving her someone to confide in and trust. He makes her forget her troubles and pain, even if only for a little while.

Styx refuses to give up on her and soon she finds herself having feelings for both guys. Ryder doesn’t mind but Styx isn’t too keen to the idea of sharing her. There’s romance, ups and downs, plenty of steam and of course a HEA. You have to read this book to see how it all plays out. I couldn’t put it down.

Having read the Savage Falls Sinners and the Red Ridge Sinners series, I felt right at home when I jumped into this book. We see some of the characters from those series as side characters in Defy. When I really love a book or series, I miss the characters when it ends, so I love when authors do this.

Remember, make sure you read Dare first. And if you haven’t yet, you should read SFS and RRS series as well!! You won’t be disappointed!!

Happy Reading!!

• {ᴏᴠᴇʀᴀʟʟ ᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛs} Wow wow wow, I didn’t expect this book to bring tears to my eyes but well it did. This was my first book by this author and I am already in love, I definitely need to read the books of the other characters that were in this book because I already know that I’m going to love it! This was definitely a forbidden love plot, two men who fall in love with their best friend sister, and the sister who is going through the pain of maybe losing her mother… but she couldn’t stop her heart from falling in love. The biggest question is why have one ? When you can have two ;) Big thanks to wild fire marketing solutions for accepting me for this arc I definitely have to get my hands on the paperback version when it’s released!!!
• {ᴄʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀs} In this book we are introduced to Ryder, Styx & Katrina. No because I understand kat’s struggle in picking one because literally both of them are just 🔥🔥, Ryder is definitely the more grumpy, outgoing, protective while Styx is the more Possessive, caring, and overall I would did in fact also fall in love with both of them!!! Styx was also very scared of being with her because of the way he and her brother left off, he didn’t want to make things worse which eventually broke her heart. Kat is a very strong person, she was also very confident and went after things she wanted. I stan her :3 They all loved each other in different ways and I wished the book was longer so I could see how their relationship evolved!!
• {sᴘɪᴄᴇ} hehe, the way I ate this spice uppppp, the only complaint I have is that there wasn’t any ⚔️, like she literally TEASED us and at the end we didn’t get it… like whyyyy ?! It would have made the book 10x better!!!

Yes, yes, it's all about taste but how is this getting 5 star reviews?! Well, I guess that saying about the strokes and folks is super true after all... I personally did not like this book and couldn't finish it.

First off, by chapter 19th it sounder more like a reverse harem than a MFM. We're only told about the threesome, you see, because it had already happened. After that, the chick just keeps swinging between the two dicks because she's sad, jealous, pissed with life... Hard to say - the drama just seems to keep snowballing. And we're constantly told over and over again about all of it, just in case we somehow forgot it since turning the page.

Then the plot! It was promising but shallow. It was the same stuff over and over again - family, friends, fornicate. The setting changed a bit from time to time but actions and dialogues pretty much followed a pattern. Same with the characters. The girl was either coming on one of the aforementioned dicks or sulking. Her two main interests - one kept apologizing, the other kept darlin' her. If they were supposed to be kind of opposites, well, it kind of failed - they were both lame. Oh, and let's not forget the scary big brother plot line ... Just not well executed!

Also, are we talking about an age difference here? Because if you haven't read the previous book(s?!), this one doesn't explicitly state their ages but gives you the idea that the guys are in their 20s while the girl is still in (high) school?! Yeah, that is pushing it a little bit there and not in a good way.

In all honesty, I can't think of anything redeeming about this book (or at least the first 19 chapters of it).

And we get the final book in the Red Ridge Sinner series. This is a standalone that you don’t need to read the others to understand anything in this one, I would only say that you might want to read the novella Dare as that is your first introduction to these three.

Kat has grown up in the now Sinners MC club. Her life has been her big brother Diesel and the club outside of taking care of her mom. This girl knows how to enjoy life to the fullest as watching her mom struggle with her health has taken its toll on her. No one truly sees how much she is struggling as Kat wears her mask well. There is one that does see but he is one of the Sinners and knows that her big brother has sworn all the guys off. Ryder has his own family stuff that he left behind for the Sinners. He may man the bar at the clubhouse but he sees Kat and offers to just listen when she needs it. Kat always had a thing for Diesel’s best friend (now ex-best friend) Styx. These two ex-best friends had something happen years ago that pushed them apart.

I loved Ryder. That he truly saw Kat behind the mask she wore and knew that he couldn’t push but would show up for her in ways that she needed. Styx, tries so hard to earn D’s friendship in the past that when he gets the chance he ends up hurting himself and Kat. I love that we finally see Kat stand up for herself and what she needed no matter how much it would hurt. We get raw emotions in this one, more than any of the other books and it was a fun change of pace.

Defy:A MFM Romance by Caitlyn Dare is the story of Katrina aka Kat a high school student who finds herself having feelings for her big brother's two bestfriends. Ryder belongs to the same MC as Kat's brother and he knows she is off limits. Not only is he to old for her but her brother Diesel wants more for his sister. Sty is the other guy in the equation and a situation years earlier has put a big strain on his relationship with Diesel. Dating his sister might not be the safest thing for Sty's physical health. As Kat and Diesel's mother's health deteriorates due to MS, Diesel reaches out to Sty to help. Sty knows he has to tread lightly considering he has had a taste of Kat and we wants more however he wants to repair his relationship with Diesel. One night at a masquerade party Sty and Ryder share Kat. Kat has wanted Sty for the longest and Ryder wants another taste of the forbididden fruit which is Kat. This is an emotional story with Kat not only dealing with her ailing mother but also her feelings for not one but 2 guys. Sty and Ryder both are dealing with trying to get with Kat but also navigate sharing her as well as trying to figure out how Diesel will react to their relationship with his little sister. A whole lot of hot sex. Really hot hot sex. A cute story with an HEA. I was definitely left with soaked panties and a devilish smile on my face 3.5 stars for me.

Kat finally gets her men!

After Kat had her fun with Styx and the mystery masked man in Dare she was hoping that Styx would finally man up and make her his girl.
Styx is still afraid of upsetting his ex best friend Diesel and doesn't want to rock the boat by getting involved with Kat who is his sister.
The chemistry between Kat and Styx is electric and the steam levels were off the chart!
Ryder, unbeknownst to Kat, was the mystery masked guy that night in Envy and since that night he can't get Kat off his mind.
Ryder and Kat start to get close and bond over their mutual understanding of caring for a sick relative.
Kat is dealing with her Mum struggling day to day with her ongoing battle with MS and she's only getting worse. Kat struggles to open up to others about her grief and now that River is happily loved up with Diesel, Zach and Jax she feels more alone than ever, especially as Styx decides to take a step back from her.
I really enjoyed Kat's story and getting to understand her better. Her relationship with Styx and Ryder individually and together was amazing. Both guys understood her so well and although these grumpy biker men could sometimes be a bit gruff they had her best interests at heart.
I'm so glad that Diesel finally got his head out of his bottom and let her be with the men she wanted.

Oh wow was this book so freaking good it was so hard to put down from start to finish and I loved the added epilogues. Katrina aka Kat is no stranger to the MC life as she's Diesels sister, so she's grown up in that life, and her brother has made it clear that she's off limits, so yeh you can guess how that went over with Kat lol. But it's to little to late as she's been in love with his ex best friend Stygian aka Styx and after a certain Halloween party she's not forgotten about the masked guy called Jack. She's having a tough time dealing with their moms illness she feels like she's alone and has no one until a certain bartender steps in, and that's all it takes for Styx to get his head out of his ass, and he's not one to share. Procrastinate much. There were some thing's in here that made me question Styxy's devotion to his kitty kat like if Ryder hadn't stepped up and started seeing Kat would he have just let things keep getting worse with her or would he have finally grown a pair and confessed his love for her to her brother and not worry if he was ok with it or not. I know one thing though I would love to have heard that story of why Ryder was called Jack only by Styx🤣 I definitely would recommend reading this book it will have you wanting to read more from these arthur at least it does me.

This was the first book I read by this author and about this world, and after this one, I will definetly be going back and reading all the other books.

Kat, Ryder and Styx...wow. What characters. I loved how frikin awesome and strong she was. She owned up to her sh*t and was never the one to back down from a challenge. I connected with her so much so that, when ever she cryed, I did too. Her relationship with Ryder and Styx was so interesting and oh so amazing.

Kat, Styx and Ryder take us on an emotional journey as not only are they dealing with the stress of defining the relationship between the three of them but also with the other stresses that are affecting their lives. They each bring something special to the relationship which is what makes it so special.

This book was everything I needed and more. Definetly recommend this book to everyone.

Having read the other Red Ridge Sinners MC books i’ve been looking forward to more from Caitlyn Dare. As soon as Defy was announced i knew i had to pick it up next! I got right back into the Red Ridge Sinners MC world. I enjoyed this story!

Kat’s journey pulled me and my heart strings in! For the longest time Kat has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Styx. As Ryder comes into the picture attraction grows for her. Can she give only one man her heart? or as the saying goes, is two really better than one? 😉

There was such a realness shown by Kat that i thoroughly enjoyed. The chemistry between her, Styx, and Ryder was so great! 🔥 I couldn’t wait to see how these three would tackle things. I wasn’t sure what all to expect which i liked! I felt so many things with these characters all throughout.

It was fun diving back into this world!

With Defy, Caitlyn Dare has created a good and dark read that had me feeling so much! Check this series out! I am so looking forward to more from Caitlyn Dare!
