What a good anthology! This book features dark romance with the mob, mafia, masked men, and more with LOTS of spice.

EMPIRE OF LIES: I wasn't a fan of this one. The h leaves the H for 30 years after keeping his child from him. One star.

FOREVER: Another book with many years separated! I'm not a fan of this type of novel. The h and H separate for 12 years and meet again later in life. One star.

SULTAN'S BITE: I loved this one! Nico and Amy make a beautiful couple and the steam was steamy! Four stars.

STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN: This one is a dark MC romance- Becca and Zep. I liked it. I haven't read anything by this author before, but I will now! Five stars.

TRAPPING HIS DARLING: I adore books by Selena Michaels. This one was no exception! It's a dark mafia romance featuring an innocent girl and a man who wants her desperately. Five stars!

BRATVA DARLING: Dark mafia romance featuring characters from the Ivankov Brotherhood. VERY steamy! Five shining stars!

SEDUCING SAN FRANCISCO: I wasn't a fan of this one, it was hard to get through. One star.

TRUMP CARD: Mafia romance. It's a classic- your dad owes me money so I'm going to take you- book. I enjoyed it though! Four stars.

THE LIONESS: Charlotte is kidnapped by the mafia. Not a huge fan of this one. One star.

THEIR TWISTED OATHS: I loved the heroine in this one!! Four stars.

SONGBIRD: BDSM and spice. That is all. Loved it. Five stars!

DOUBLE DARE: Didn't enjoy this one. DNF

CRUEL INTENTIONS: An arranged mafia romance. Very sweet! Three stars!

SAVAGE KING: Kidnapped by the mafia! This one I really liked. The couple had amazing chemistry together. Five stars!

SECRET TRUTHS: Mobsters & secrets & twists. Loved it! Five stars!

THE BITTER ONE: DNF

CASEN: MM/bdsm romance. I loved Addax's name. The grovelling was very much needed here. Four stars.

AFTER THE LIES: Mob romance! Ronny runs away and Malcolm finds her... and wants to keep her. Three stars.

BEAUTIFULLY FORGIVEN: Oooooh, this one is my FAVORITE. The chemistry, plot, steam- everything is perfect. Five stars.

GILDED CAGE: Reverse harem! I LOVED this one. It's features kidnapping, masked men, and SPICE! Five stars.

Everyone knows that I love Mafia books.
I've read so many but they are never enough.
When I had the opportunity to read this anthology, I was on cloud nine.
For once it was mafia stories and to top it all, from several different authors.
Crazy right?
Most of these authors, it's a premier for me, and I can assure you that I will follow them all because their writing is spectacular.
Each story was different, intense, mysterious, and hot... Oh boy... Hot hot.
Each chapter was perfect and I couldn't stop reading.
I can't say too much without spoiling so I will only say that you must read this.
Not only because the books are awe but also because they will support a great cause.

I have said it before and I'll say it again, mafia romance is my jam and I loved these so much. Intense, hot, and addictive are just some of the words I would describe Jacob and Savannah's story. It was full steam ahead from the first page. I didn't want it to end. If this is just the beginning of their story we are in for one hell of a ride.

Shattered Glass by M. Jameson
Luna (FMC) ends up being used by stepmother and her daughters in this Mafia version of Cinderella or at least it came across that way to me. That is until her life crosses with Matteo's and things start to get complicated for both of them. It was a great quick read with one hell of a cliffhanger ending! Bring on the whole book now please because im dying to read it

This short story flies by and in the end instead of war; we might just find a mob love story.



Sultan’s Bite

Amy knows her father has plans for her, marry her off to one of his capo’s and whatever happens to her happens…Amy has different plans – to convince Nico Sultan to help her escape.

Nico knows his time is probably running down with the boss Marcelle but he still has some use. When Amy comes around begging him to help her escape he figures maybe it really is time to leave.

Author Sofia Aves has given us a glimpse on how Amy and Nico came together but readers will be able to see more of them in her TeXan Devils series (Texas Rangers) as well as showing up as side characters for cartels in Mexico.

I read this anthology for beautifully forgiven and so my review is based around this short read.

Love love loved this book. I couldn’t wait to read their book and it didn’t disappoint but I need more to the point I just kept trying to scroll but couldn’t. This story is about Jacob kidnapped Savannah. The revenge and hate he had for her father didn’t stop the attraction he felt for her but god was she sassy and strong even though she knew she couldn’t get always this story in the anthology is intense, smexy as hell, truly heartbreaking and sooooo good. I need more from their story and hope the author does a full length because I need to know what happens next.

Jacob kidnapped Savannah. The revenge and hate he had for her father didn’t stop the attraction he felt for her but god was she sassy and strong. Savannah definitely gives Jacob a run for his money and never backs down. There is so much emotions and twist in this story that has you wanting more. The end just makes you needing more.

We meet Ella you just wants to have an ordinary life but is the Bratva princess.

Then there is Ivan who tries to save her.

This contains a beautiful love story.

M Jameson’s Shattered Glass is filled with so much 5 star goodness! I’ve been craving a mafia read lately and this novella hit all the marks seamlessly for a perfect quick mafia fix…..and it’s also a fairytale retelling, which is always a fun and twisty perk!

That being said, it went by way too quickly and now I’m in a hangover of epic proportions. The only cure is going to be getting the full novel and I’ll be anxiously awaiting being able to get my hands on it.

A brilliant collection of short stories. I particularly liked Shattered Glass by M.Jameson.

I want more. That’s my first thought after finishing this little gem. A great mafia retelling of Cinderella. I felt so sorry for the main female character Luna. I now need to read more about her.

Will definitely be reading more of these stories.

In order to understand this short novella, you must read the Valentino Series. This is a second chance with a back story that will break your heart. This about comprises. Al that poor man and the lies that he discovered crushed my heart. Gloria my heart went out to her because the most imaginable happened. I do recommend this to add an extra touch to an already fantastic series.

LOVED 2) Forever prequel, the Marinelli Crime Family – Chele MacCabe --Young lovers separated then reunited and her Mafia family is not happy and abuses Ellie. She knows a detective, her lover, Rhys who can save her. LOVED 3) Sultan’s Bite- Sofia Aves—Mob mechanic Nico runs away with rebellious mafia princess Amy. OK 4) Stairway to Heaven-Tanya Nellestein –prequel-- Biker Zep helps Becca escape her wicked Aunt and Uncle. OK 5) Trapping his Darling- The Petrov Legacy-- Selena Michaels—On a whim Victor Petrov the 2nd son to the Bratva Pakhan, sees an enticing server, drags her away, and proclaims his love??? No story, just wham bam love! 6) Greek Honeymoon- Bratva Darling bonas -The Ivankov Brotherhood—Sabine Barclay—Mak Kutsenko has a surprise for his lovely new wife Laura. This is a love-filled honeymoon. I Loved it. 7) Seducing San Francisco- J.F. Lowe—Tech CEO/BDSM club owner gets with Alexis. -- Too many typos, and scenes changed abruptly leaving me confused. 8) Trump Card—Emma Bray—Christopher Gage is a Don of an Italian Mafia family. He believes he was wronged by another Mafia family so he kidnaps the Don's daughter Marissa to right the wrong done to his family. She’s a headstrong beauty who Gage falls for. All work out and these two fall in love. I LOVED this story. 9) The Lioness—Lindsay Murray—Mafia Don Raul’s people kidnap the wrong girl. Carlotta is a student in Italy for a short time; she is not the daughter of another Mafia Don but once the deed is done there is no going back. She can never go home, she’s a pampered prisoner. Someone in the mafia family is a traitor and Carlotta named names now she’s in serious danger. Raul comes to the rescue of the woman he has fallen in love with. I LIKED the story. 10) Their Twisted Oaths prequel—Arabella Black – Victor Alvarez Garcia – El Maestro, is next in line to lead the Mexican cartel. His father recently tried to branch into Las Angeles but was put down by police person Tara Levina. Tara just moved to the border town of San Ricardo to take care of her ailing mother. While in town she joined their police dept. Tara finds a brutally beaten man on the side of the road and assists him, even takes him to a hotel, cleans his wounds then bids him farewell. She suspects he’s a cartel member. This will be a dark story. 11) Song Bird—Molly Lachaussee—OMG, Kazimi, is one cock sure, dangerous dude and he has a new submissive, Nitraa. This is a HOT short story. 12) Double Dare—Maggie Alabaster & Jo Bradley—Two sets of Mafia twins. Hunter and Parker are very close and are the heirs to the Brantley family. They share “everything”! Lila and Chloe Bell are in competition to reign over their family. Lila Bell thinks the Brantley boys might help her cause and besides, they are HOT. Two makes twice the fun. Sexy story! 13) Cruel Intentions—A.N. Stauber—Ella’s mafia dad sold her to an old mafia Don to forge a bond. The Don’s son Ivan thinks the deal sucks. An 18-year-old girl has no business being forced to marry an old geezer, Mafia Don or not. Ivan steps in and fake marry Ella but soon he finds more in the beautiful smart Ella. Loved! 14) Chain of Command—Colla Triti—Tristan is a slippery Mafia Don. He gets away with everything. Detective Gemma wants to take him down. She has been DEEP undercover for years trying to do just that. Gemma has been playing as his submissive all this time and feelings have grown between them. The mission is finishing and they can’t give each other up. I was a little confused and couldn’t believe the things Gemma did in front of everyone including the raiding cops. The story was OK. 15) Savage King—Angela Breen—Serenity is the daughter of a baker indebted to the Mafia. When he can’t pay he is murdered and Serenity is taken to be sold. There are a couple of men in line to be Don. One is an evil murderer the other is Conrad, a newcomer to the mix. He’s a pretty awesome guy who falls for Serenity. She can’t believe in this awful situation she could actually find love. Conrad takes over as the new Don and claims his lovely Serenity. Loved this short story! 16) Secret Truths—Remy Reigns-- Mobster Alonzo Moretti is in love with the mysterious Carlie. In fact, they just said I Do, when the bullets started to fly. Who’s to blame? Could it be who Carlie is hiding from? Her politician father who just found her? Buy the story to see! Looks good! 17) The Bitten one—Sophia Vincent—Cole Greco is a Capo-made man in the Italian Boston area mafia family. Cole is losing his edge. He really screwed up a deal with another family and they want blood. The New Don of his family is Alan, his lifelong friend and the man Cole is secretly in love with. Cole figures he has nothing to lose so he acts on his desire and jumps Alan. There is wrestling and fierce passion and HOT MM that leaves you wiggling in your seat. HOT! HOT! HOT! Short scene! 18) The Misunderstood Vigilante—Leila Coltyn— Addax and Casen work as assassins of criminals who “got away” with their horrible deeds. Addax is with Casen for this particular job and sees the damage the job is doing to Casen. Casen is a cold machine while torturing this monster for info before killing him but it wears on Casen. Addax takes Casen “in hand” to offer him relief and it’s a HOT scene. This is a short HOT dark MM BDSM Romance. 19) After the Lies—Jazmine Skye—Quirky love story. Ronny is a mob daughter who runs away from mob life to start a new life. Malcolm has been sent by her father to find her and bring her home. Malcolm has other ideas. He’s fallen in love with her. Together they run to the islands to live happily ever after. Short ADORABLE story with nice characters! Lots of typos! 20) Beautifully Forgiven—Tara Lee-- Jacob is a mob assassin who was wronged by the mob Don so he’s out for revenge. He kidnaps the Don's daughter Savannah. Jacob is brutally crazy while interacting with the defenseless virgin Savannah. This is a DARK tale probably a prequel. Too dark for me! 21) Gilded Cage—Holland Reign—College student Dove has been kidnapped by 4 HOT gentle hunky guys. Enzo, Chalen, Luca, and Nero are mob, and Dove’s brother owes them money. This idiot uses his sister Dove as collateral. This infuriated the Guys and they set out to make Dove theirs. CUTE HOT short story! But, lots of typos! This short story is heartbreaking, emotional, and amazing. Al and Gloria second chance romance is the perfect addition to the Valentino Series. It was great to see what happened to the in the past and how they came together in the present. I definitely recommend that you read the Valentino series first to truly get the most out of this short story.

Short and sexy. This is a great introduction to how Lila Bell ends up with the Brantley Twins. I loved there series, so it was great to see where they began.

Collection of novelettes

This is a collection of novelettes by various authors. It is difficult to rate, as there are a couple of stories that I would rate 1 - 2 stars, and others that would rate 4 stars.

⛔️ All of the stories contain scenes and/or references to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to sensitive readers. Definitely authored for readers 18+ years old. A high-level list is included below.

Some of the stories are complete, some end on a cliffhanger and would be more of a prequel / prologue for another story (I.e. Their Twisted Oaths by Arabella Black) and there are one or two that are bonus scenes / epilogues from another story (I.e. Bratva Darling by Sabine Barclay and Trapping His Darling: The Petrov Legacy by Selena Michaels).

The entire anthology needs to be edited for content and grammatical issues. I didn’t highlight all of the issues, just the ones that I felt like I absolutely had to. These range from missing words, extra inserted words, lots of incorrect punctuation and a few typos / incorrect word choice. I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested. I mention these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

This is a review for Shattered Glass by M. Jameson

Wow, this dark mafia story was unlike anything I have ever seen before. The premise was definitely not your typical mafia debt owed story. This was a dark fairytale retelling of a tragic mafia princess who after the death of her father was subject to the unfair treatment of her stepmother and step sisters. Now under her stepmother's control, she is nothing more than a pawn. Until one night she meets a man.... The enemy, Antonio Valenti, and his son Matteo.

This was a great introduction to this world and how arranged marriages and children of powerful families are forced to do the unthinkable for power. Money is power in this world but Matteo has other ideas. And he wants Luna.

What’s better than a dark [mafia] romance author? Try over 20 of them! This collection was incredible. Each author brought the steam for this collection. Each one in this charity collection was a new to me author. While the genre was the same, the stories were not. Each was unique and special in its own way. This whole book kept me entertained. It was addictive and spicy. With over 600 pages of alpha males, you’re in for a heck of a ride. You’ll be hooked from the first story to the last. A mafia romance that has a little bit of everything. Romance, action, and adventure all combined together to create a fantastic story.

I loved Ella and Ivan story and how possessive he was over her. It's the kind of possessive that's "touch her and die", but he never over does it with her. They had a perfect balance and it just made the story great.

I would've liked to see a little more plot in the story, since there didn't feel to be much of one at all. It just felt like the story was on one level the entire time, but it was at least fun to read.
