Slow and Cerebral tells a true-life triumphant tale about overcoming self-doubts and perceived limitations to achieve the “unreasonable.” For author Zachary Fenell, that meant not letting the neurological disability cerebral palsy (CP) stop him from becoming a marathoner. Follow along with Fenell as he recounts the ups and downs which paved his path to the finish line. Experience the overwhelming exhaustion felt after only completing a fraction of the goal distance. Persevere through the gravity sparring stumbles and tumbles. Feed off the power of friendship and challenge what is possible. Push forward emboldened by courageous determination. Plus, so much more.
Zachary Fenell penned Off Balanced and writes on a freelance basis. Websites where you can read Fenell's published articles include The Mobility Resource, OC Reloaded, and Yahoo! Sports. Fenell's work covering a Cleveland Indians fan perspective beat and as a featured music contributor makes him a mainstay amongst Yahoo! Contributor Network's Hot 500.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in communication (minors-writing and philosophy) from Notre Dame College (NDC) of Ohio in May 2009. During his time at NDC Zachary Fenell ran the student newspaper The Notre Dame News and accumulated numerous academic honors.
