Bookstore Bunnies is a charming and visually delightful celebration of books, bookstores, and the joy of reading. With its gorgeous illustrations and clever, rhythmic rhymes, this picture book is a treat for young readers and their grown-ups alike —plus, there's story time too!

Through playful bunny characters, the story becomes a sweet allegory for the many genres and interests kids can explore. It’s a beautiful way to introduce children to the idea that bookstores are treasure troves where every reader can find something magical that speaks to them.

I love seeing this world full of animals from the perspective of a day at the bookstore. I love all the little details that make the bookstore more believable for a world filled with animals. For example, we see Frog who needs a book on catching flies, which was found in the “Catching Flies and Baking Pies” section. We also see little chicks and ducklings come to the afternoon storytime. My favorite part is seeing all the bookstore bunnies go home to their burrow under the bookstore and spend the rest of their day reading.

"Bookstore bunnies open at nine. Skunk and gator wait in line." A variety of animals come into the bookstore looking for books that relate to them. The pages are short, they rhyme, and the illustrations are bright and comical. I loved reading this book and I love how it shows that there is a book for everyone. When the bunnies finally shut the door at the end of the day, they end up reading at home that night. I would recommend this to any book lover and it is one of my new favorites!

The Bunnies run a bookstore, from opening on time to finding everyone their favorite book to storytime with the chicks and ducklings. It's a fun day at the bookstore.

A fun beginning reader - I loved the bookstore - the very tall bookcases and the antics of the bunnies were delightful.

Cute story and an easy read. Bookstore bunnies takes readers along a journey of what everyone is searching for inside the store. Readers won't tire during this one as there's about 8 words on the page. The story is missing a plot. The illustrations were not my favorite. I'd totally read it again with each child when they are working on reading skills. Solid Level 1 read.

This book was so cute. It rhymes well and is funny because the owners are bunnies! It's not like, day in the life of a bookstore owner, but could be applied to librarians as well. Basically it's about helping animals find books on topics they want to read about/are about them.

Utterly adorable early reader! One sentence text on each page.
Fun rhyming text and centered around a bookstore owned by bunnies. Different animals visit their shop, and the bookstore bunnies work hard to help them find what they want or need.

Early reader Pre-Level One
Readers meet a family of bunnies who run a bookstore for the other animals. Seltzer includes plenty of humor in the text and Disbury's illustrations add to that.

Nice little rhyming story in one of my favorite places — the bookstore!
