Olivia and her parrot partner Chico are back for another cruise ship adventure. Olivia is still trying to recover from losing her boyfriend/magician partner. Her best friend Haley is doing her best to help her and to train Chico to be a partner too. Chico is a little scene stealer. What a cutie. I love the uniqueness of a parrot as one of the main characters.

Things don’t always go smoothly on a cruise ship. When strange things start happening, security turns their eyes on Olivia as the guilty party. She’s completely innocent but only Chico and Haley believe in her. She’s determined to find the real guilty party.

The cruise is filled with a cast of quirky characters each with their own drama. It’s fun to go cruising and never leave home to do it. I feel as if I was on the cruise with them.

I’m looking forward to the next book in this series. It makes for the perfect weekend escape.

I borrowed this one from the Kobo Plus library. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Only a real cruise entertainer like this author could know and accurately make the backstage drama and shenanigans come to life like she does! Oh my gosh, this was just as much fun as the first book! Olivia and Alex finally seemed to be in a good place as far as some kind of relationship went, and Hayley was pretty happy having drinks or meals with the cute guy who was the cruise director.

But someone on the dance team wasn't a happy camper and lashed out with accidents and yep, you guessed it, a murder. I actually had this perp picked out fairly early too, but I had a good time seeing how quickly anyone in the story picked up on it. Wow, what a crazy showdown too! That perp was a real wildcat! All through this, Chico was learning some card tricks and something he told them actually helped with the case. Good boy, Chico!

Ms. Wendy, I hope you've got more of this awesome series planned, 'cause I know I'd sure love to read more about these characters! Thanks to KU, I was able to almost binge read these two books!

Olivia is once again put to the test on the SS Starlight cruise ship when a series of mysterious accidents happen. She investigates to uncover the secrets and lies that put them in danger. There is humour with Chico being his talkative self. A very exciting and enjoyable read with interesting characters to liven up the adventure mystery on this cruise ship. I received this book free and leave a honest review. I recommend this book to other readers.

An entertaining and easy read. I too easily guessed the villain but still a good story. The main character is a bit immature with her foot stomping but it's interesting to read the descriptions when the main characters go to places on the ship that the public doesn't see.

Candi, the dancer who left the ship with Peter when he abandoned Olivia and their magic act, returns to the ship as a performer but is not a nice person and is disliked by pretty much everyone. Even though Olivia did not like her, she put the blame directly on Peter, and was dismayed when someone murdered the nasty dancer.

Peter, in the meantime, approaches Hayley in port and tells her that he wants his magic equipment back. Olivia and Hayley have to step up their act and give Chico, the parrot, a larger role to play.

This was so much fun to read. I love the bind between Olivia and Haley. You don’t often find such a pure strong bond between women. It’s great to see. What’s also great is sweet Chico, he adds a fun whimsical element to lighten things but also brings a sense of home comfort. I really enjoyed this mystery and how well put together it was. It kept me guessing, having some emotions like Olivia and was a joy to read. I’m looking forward to the next book. (I’m so glad I got all of them!)

This is Book #2 of Olivia and Chico’s adventures. I read this before book #1 and enjoyed it so much that I had to get the rest of the series. I liked that it started out w/the ending of the previous book. Olivia continues her “being in wrong place at wrong time”and is brought into more murder/mayhem in this story. Olivia, Hailey and Chico continue to do great and improve their Magic Act.

Olivia is doing the magic show on the ship as the magician with her friend Haley as her assistant and her bird, Chico has learned a few new tricks.

As their first show is going to happen in a few days, one cast member is murdered, another has a suspicious slip and fall injury, and Chico seems to be deliberately messing up his trick.

great book

I really enjoyed this book. I love cruise ship mysteries but this book was so much more than that. It had the mystery with magic added to it. It really can’t get much better than that. This was a really good series and I hope another book comes out soon.

Cozy . but so

I guessed the who and how right away but still enjoyed the interplay and developing relationships, especially the end where the ex gets "egg" on his face!

Another fun cruise ship mystery that will hold your attention page after page. Olivia and her parrot, Chico, never get boring. I'm ready for their next adventure...having just returned from my own less exciting cruise, thank goodness.

I liked this one as much as I liked the first! This one took me just a touch longer to deduce who did it, and the ending was VERY satisfying. And that birb. (That's what he calls himself-and I'm here for it!) He cracks me up.

A fun book for a lazy afternoon.

This book reminds me of being a passenger on an actual cruise, and it comes wrapped around a fun mystery. I love Chico’s attitude! I received a review copy, but my review is honest and voluntary.
