To keep the peace between her crime lord father and the Greco mafia’s boss, she’s forced to marry his son, Roman. He’s cold and has a reputation for hurting those close to him. There is no wedding night, and the first months of their marriage are awful.
Roman doesn’t want a wife, and certainly not an outsider who doesn’t know their ways. Unlike the women he’s used to, Alex thinks for herself and isn’t afraid to tell him no. He plans to prove she isn’t a sweet innocent, and he orders his friends to seduce her to show she’s not worthy of him.
When her life is endangered, it is up to Roman to save her and the peace pact between their families. By his father’s order, he has to make this stubborn woman fall in love with him.
Her husband is not as cold and callous as Alex originally thought. He’s a monster to everyone but her, and she never expected to fall in love with him.
She didn’t count on finding out he was a liar, either. His father told him to make her fall in love with him, but how far was he willing to go?
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
DNF. I thought I could push through 😤 but the more I continued, I just kept getting aggravated. The heroine fought the hero throughout and she always kept crying to her daddy. And the hero was getting treated like trash. I was so prepared to get another one for the books from Sam Crescent. But this was not it, I’m so disappointed. The hero supposed to be this mafia monster and he more like a little boy getting scoulded.
This one was good Alex and Roman are married but there marragie is well stiff and boring since Roman doesn't care for her and she's a outsider plus she refused to do a "virgin test" so he things she's not pure and messing around so he wants proof of that so they can take control from Alex father. As for Alex she's just not happy her husband doesn't want her but thanks to her dad she can go back to college.
But things get messy when someone attacks her. Now Roman wants to be married to her he still thinks she's lying about stuff so he makes his friends try to bed her. The more they spend together the more he sees she's not who he thinks she is. But attacks keep happening and when Alex finds out he was lying and "faking" falling in love things get messy.
I'm glad she didn't give in when she found out about the lie she ignored him and lived her dream of being a mother to all the foster kids she was around. But he did grovel to earn back her trust so I'll give him that
No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, virgin and no manwhore

*Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for an eARC of this title.*
I really enjoyed a previous read by this author, so I jumped at a chance to grab another one when it was made available as an ARC. While this Mafia Romance had quite a promising start for me, i feel like it got over crowded with plot and twists and took away from the romance for me.
Things I liked: The premise of an Arranged Marriage in trouble. They both distrust each other and their young marriage is like two strangers passing in the night. When they need to show a united front for their alliance, things need to progress and they need "lessons and tips" from some of the heroes friends. I also liked how protective and supportive the heroine's father was of her. I don't see that too often in Mafia romance.
What I disliked: The orphanage plot/twist. No spoilers but... there was just TOO much going on with that. The slow burn in the sex department and the games the hero is secretly playing behind her back. The rush at the end.
I don't want to harp on it all but those are the main three things that lessened my enjoyment. I expected more from this author after the book I read last month and this book just didn't pull me in to the same degree.
This book went from boring to absurd. I can’t say that there was any real “forced” anything in this entire story. The FMC was an obedient daughter who trusted her father’s decisions with regards to her life. He told her it was best for her and she did it. No coercion of any kind was needed. If anything the MMC was such a baby about it that he was the one who brought the majority of this couples conflict to the book. He treated her like crap when no one was around. Having his mantrums.
Then when they are forced together under the FMC’s father’s watchful eyes then he wakes up to the FMC as worthy of his better side. Even still he continues to manipulate her. Then this book goes ridiculously sideways by having the main couple adopt 15 children that just so happen to be the illegitimate children of the MMC’s mafia capos and soldiers. Seriously, what!?!?
This mafia family would seriously rise up on the heir/MMC and their boss if they had to see their byblows everyday. No way would this have EVER been allowed to happen. The internal feuding would be insane from this nonsense. Besides that craziness, the MMC becomes a “soccer dad” (for lack of a better term) in front of his entire outfit. Honestly, this book should have ended with this couple being killed by their own people for the joke they became.
As for the brother Philip being the villain. It was so poorly fleshed out. How he thought he was going to end up the boss after he revealed himself made no sense. All because he was invisible to his father the boss. Give me a break. Smdh.
Like I said, this book ended on an absurd note. Nothing was realistically played out. I’m extremely disappointed that SC wasted a longer book length on such a sh!tty story. Good luck.
Mafia Monster's Forced Bride was an ok book for me. I love arranged marriages and age gaps books add in the Mafia and I'm sold. Alex is a young woman whose dad arranged for her to marry the future boss of the Greco family Roman. Her dad Liam is a powerful criminal and decides with the Boss Lucas that this would be great for both families. For starters I have to say that Liam was the best father I have ever read in this genre. While yes he made this decision for business purposes, he was quick to have the whole thing overturned if his little girl was unhappy. Due to her wonderful dad Alex isn't some submissive female. She speaks her mind and makes her own decisions. Roman is a jerk. He's older and acts like a little boy with his friends. I had a hard time thinking of him as head of the family someday. The beginning of their marriage is not easy add in some lies and Roman will have to grovel a lot. Another issue for me was the children. I found the whole thing completely unbelievable for Alex and Roman to take on.
***I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own***
I'm torn on how to rate this. There are some things I liked and some things I absolutely hated. I didn't like how this story starts off with them already married, I would've liked to learn more about when they first met. I also didn't like how the H basically told his buddies to try to seduce his wife because he didn't believe she was a virgin.
I loved the premise, but I didn't like how it played out. Three stars! ♡

Style: Mafia Romance Story: 3/5 Enjoyment: 2/5 Dark level: 1/5 Sexual Level: OK Triggers: No Violence: Yes Male: Sexy mix with Jerk-ish Series: Book 1 Pages: 266 Audio: No Price: $4.99
STORY: What I Like: I like the premise of the whole thing. Alex, who comes from a powerful family, is grounded and loves her freedom before the wedding. She is strong and, in a sense, she stands up to others. Roman is the eldest child and is being trained to take over from his family. He didn’t want to get married and ignores his wife early on. There are scenes I love that have made the story, pleasant in some ways.
What Is So So: When I see a title Mafia's Monster, I already had an idea of the direction it would take. I wanted and needed more from Roman. Compared to other mafia guys, he came off nice-ish. Always a jerk, but I was disappointed because with this title I expected that he would ruthless. At first, what Roman was trying to get his friends to do with Alex was meaningless, they were already married. I had expected this story to be dark because of the title. Certain scenes were always pleasant, and others were tamed and not to my liking.
That being said, I wouldn't discourage others from still reading this story. Some of my dislikes are based on my personal preferences.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY: Likable. However, I felt their chemistry took a while to build up and it wasn't as strong mainly in the beginning.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: I liked Roman friends and the kids in the orphanage.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Not all the time. Did I like the story? Yes If this is a series, will I continue? Not sure, maybe.
TRIGGERS: No
NOTES: virgin heroine
****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.
Alex can't stand her husband and the feeling is mutual. Their marriage is nothing but a business arrangement for their family. The first few months are filled rude exchanges and nothing more - not even a wedding night. Roman never wanted a wife and he's not about to change his mind for someone who won't prove her virginity. He doesn't believe she's actually as innocent as she appears so he has his closest friends try to seduce her to find out her the intentions. When his father demands him to get closer to her and he does, will he ruin the trust and feelings they have built for each other?
Wow! I am blown away by how amazing this book was. Alex may be sweet and innocent but she doesn't let people walk all over her - not even her husband. I LOVE the relationship she has with her father and Millie. Roman appears to be a terrible person but trust me he redeems himself and grovels - he knows how badly he messed up and does everything in his power to make it right. I loved their chemistry and their whole story - children included.
*I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review with my honest opinion.*
This dragged so bad so bad. It was slow paced and drawn out. Alex to me seemed more dumb then naive. Come on you have to know about six. In todays world so unrealistic. They had no chemistry what so ever. This was not the book for me.
This was more like a 3.5 but I hate giving half stars when it's not an available option in the rating.
There were things I didn't like that would have pushed me to give this a lower rating, but the few things I liked made up for it. Overall, it did felt slow, but I enjoyed the book.
First thing first, Sam Crescent is one of my favorite author. There are some hits and misses. I just skip the misses and enjoy the hits. This is somewhere in between.
H (35) and h (21) are forced into an arranged marriage. H is the heir to mafia and h is only child of crime lord who actually loves his daughter.
H pushes h away because h did not do a virginity test and he thinks she slept around (ugh, double standard). He tries to get out of the marriage by showing everyone she is a "wh0r3", but really he should look in the mirror. He tried to get his friends to sleep with the h.
Both H and h's fathers push them to make it work. Someone is out to hurt or kill the h. Drama ensues. As drama unfolds, H and h learn to become closer.
HEA - married, 8 months pregnant with 15 adopted children
Safety: 5/5 - no cheating. There were talk of H's past but nothing graphic. H did share the ow(s) with his friends (not at the same time).
What I like: 1. The ow(s) weren't catty or harrass the h. I love ow drama, but it was also good to see the ow not putting the h down. They were happy for the h and H. Also, the H didn't act like a douche. The H actually treated the ow(s) well and helped one of them when she was being harassed by her boss.
2. While unusual, I loved that they adopted 15 children (who were all illegitimate children the H's mafia capos abandoned). I wished there were more about the H and h with their children and how H planned on punishing his capos for abandoning their children which was alluded to in the ending.
What I didn't like: 1. Slow burn but not in a sexual tension way. It felt like the book dragged on. There was a plot where they had to practice being comfortable in each other's presence and the H's friends had to teach them. It felt juvenile and out of place for a mafia book.
2. The H had siblings that the H's father, mafia boss, ignores because they aren't the heir like the H is. I wish there was resolution that showed H opening up to his siblings since the ending showed he wanted a family.
3. Towards the end, H and h ended up adopting 15 kids and he acted like a house husband which is fine. But aside from a 1-2 sentence explanation that he balanced being mafia and a family man, it was a bit ambiguous and unrealistic. They had a lot money, yet the H and h wanted to do the cooking, cleaning and everything to do with 15 kids. That was unrealistic.
4. I felt there were some conflicting information about the H and h's fathers motivation and some plots were not fully fleshed out. For example, H's siblings, the plot twist that the orphaned children were abandoned illegitimate children of capos.

The longer SC's books are, the more repetitive and boring they become. Had she cut this down to about 100 pages, it would probably be a 5. I've read several of her books that are the exact same as this one, just different names. I don't mind that because I already know what to expect with SC. If you've never read her before, you might get pissed. 🤷
Alex (21-yo, virgin, daughter of bad guy) is forced to marry Roman (35-yo, next in line for Mafia management) in order to join their families and build a super bad guy mafia empire. One thing different about this one is that Alex's dad, Liam, is actually super sweet and loving and she comes from a household that cherishes her. Neither want to be married and after two months, they still haven't slept together or even spoken.
There's someone trying to kill Alex, Roman is convinced she's lying and a slut, Liam and Roman are fighting over who has control of Alex, Alex wants to adopt all 15 kids at this orphanage she visits, yada yada.
Eventually they have sex, it's pretty good, then he breaks her heart and has to win her back. The end.
You can literally read the first paragraph of any chapter and then skip to the end of it and you won't lose any details. It's just a lot of repetition and filler.
I received a free copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Alex is married to Roman Greco, a Mafia boss. But she didn't want to. It was her father's decision. A scheme to join both families. His father is a crime boss so the idea of being united with the Mafia was just fantastic. What starts as an obligation, starts to change little by little. I love Mafia books so I liked this one. It's true that there is not much action (Mafia action) but the story is nice although pretty unbelievable at some points.
Dude....this was good! I didn't expect to like it so much but honestly the only complaints I have is a few continuity errors and typos.
I absolutely loved his friends trying to teach them how to pretend to be in love. I laughed out loud at those parts. The pure craziness of how clueless those two were. Freaking adorable.
When Roman finally realizes what love is. Wow. Just wow.
Excellent slow burn, age gap, grumpy sunshine arranged marriage...all the stuff. 😂😂😂
I really enjoyed the fact that the heroine Alex wasn’t the usual mafia bride. She had a backbone and when the hero messed up she actually made him earn her forgiveness.
Roman wasn’t your typical mafia alpha guy, don’t get me wrong, he was dark and dirty, but he actually had a brain and grew as a character through the story.
Very nice story and I really hope we get more stories from the friends. I had a real tough time remembering the names of all the males. Liam and Lucas and our h name Alex had scrambled a bit of the story in my head.
Alex and Roman are forced to marry to keep the peace between their families. Roman doesn’t want a wife and their marriage is horrible but when her life is in danger and the pact between their families close to being broken. He will keep her save and make her fall in love with him. Sizzling chemistry, fast-paced read with plenty of twists and turns. I liked it.
When it comes to Sam Crescent books, some are hit or miss with me. There are some I just love and then there are others that I can't stand or feel as if it's recycled material and I've read the same kind of story line over and over again. There's also the issue I feel about the price point that the books sell for, for the material we get. I'm not a reader that is made of money so when I'm spending $5 or more for an e-book, I want a full length novel...not something that is only like 100 pages! I'm not big on Mafia, but like I said, it's Sam Crescent, so I had to give it a chance.
Roman and Alex. Their marriage was arranged to bring together the Greco family and Alex's criminal father who has made a name for himself among the streets. However, unlike the 'family' Liam never forced his daughter to do something she didn't want. She's not a submissive woman who carries the brunt of her husband's anger. Roman never had a childhood. As the oldest son he was groomed from a young age to be ready at a moments notice to take over for the Greco family. Women to him lie, cheat, and when those don't work they seduce to get what they want. Roman's experience with women is that they're always looking for their next big meal ticket and loyalty is not something he's experienced with a woman yet. From the minute they're married life for Alex is completely different than what she is used to growing up. Her husband hates her and doesn't hide the fact that she's not what he wants. But all that changes when her life is in danger. Soon she and Roman have to work together to protect themselves and find the snake within the family. During all this Roman's orders from his boss/father are to make Alex fall in love with him by any means necessary. But are the lies worth losing the one woman he's actually starting to learn is everything she seems and more? When everything is exposed, can Alex forgive Roman?
My one complaint...and yes, it does keep me from giving this 5 stars. This author has a habit of once the main characters get horizontal together the story starts to kind of go downhill from there for me because after that first time it seems that's all we get to read with the characters is more smexy times. I have no issues with this, but seriously...is it necessary to put back to back to back scenes together??.

Mafia Monster's Forced Marriage Bride book one in the Mafia Brides series. An enemies-to-lovers romance, arranged marriage story, hate-to-love feels, dark mafia romance, an age gap trope, alphahole damaged anti-hero, sassy kicka$$, heroine, and a forced marriage. It's brilliantly crafted with extraordinary characters and fascinating storyline that captures your attention from the beginning of the first chapter and keeps you invested until you invested until the end. "This story is deliciously addicting". A compelling story that was unputdownable. It was filled with anger, suspense, drama, danger, lies, rivalry, secrets, surprises, trust issues, alliances, betrayal, enemies, plot, deception, backstabbing, manipulations, love, steam, action, setup, forgiveness, revelations, angst, redemption, surprising twists and turns, mental abuse, survival, mystery, attacks, violence, hatred, resentment, passion, banter and so much more. Alex King and Roman Greco entered into a forced marriage to keep the peace between her crime lord dad the Greco mafia's boss. She hates her husband Roman. He's cold-hearted, callous cruel and has a reputation for hurting those whose the closest to him. Roman thought his wife was life every other woman that he had encountered in his life who only want someone. Not only he did not wanted a wife he certainly didn't wanted to married to an outsider who doesn't know ways of the Greco family. Alex is stubborn, strong-willed, defiant, independent, and sassy. She's beautiful, intelligent, a virgin, and fierce. Roman plans to show is dad that she's not worthy of him, his plans is prove that she's not innocent and sweet so tell his friends seduce her. Roman dad has him to make Alex fall in love with him. Someone is out to get Alex and her life is in danger. *this book was given to me in exchange for an honest review*
3.5-4 stars! This is a new author for me and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to read this book. The Mafia Brides Series started off with Roman and Alex. Alex is the daughter to Liam-who is a mafia boss. Liam isn’t considered part of the “family” but due to his street creds, he’s earned just as much, if not more of a reputation. His daughter, Alex, is his world. Alex is feisty, yet quiet. She was raised by the cook, Millie and her father. It was just them, so she lead a pretty secluded life. She likes to read, sew, and be by herself. She’s very much not like the other women that try to seduce members in the family. Roman is Lucas’s first born son-the one that will lead the family one day. He’s cold, violent, and has been raised without feelings. He has a reputation with the ladies-in the bedroom. He’s less than thrilled that his father and Liam have ordered that Roman and Alex marry to bind the two families together. Unwillingly, Roman and Alex marry and aren’t a fan of each other. They very much live as roommates, if that, in the beginning. They slowly start to peel layers back, and ultimately fall in love.
The storyline I’ve was good. I enjoyed the chemistry between Roman and Alex, although at times it didn’t click for me. Roman would say one thing, then it was the opposite the next sentence. I’m huge in needing to visualize the characters…I have an idea what Alex looks like, but not so much on Roman. I think if there was more backing with the characters, I would have really fallen for this book. I’m definitely interested in reading more in the series!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is a mafia romance that will appeal to more than just the typical fans of the niche genre. It is much sweeter fare than the usual mafia romance, and doesn't contain super dark elements. Mafia Monster's Force Bride brings us into Alex and Roman's arranged marriage. Neither want to be there, but danger and mafia boss fathers push them closer.
The female main character, Alex, is one of my favorite FMCs of this genre. Alex is smart, sensible, and sticks to her values. And unlike many other narratives, she doesn't lose all her brain cells at the first sign of romance. Her struggles with the arranged marriage are well portrayed and the enforced intimacy of their situation creates fun tension. Additionally, Roman respects her boundaries, and the sexual activities between them are consensual and steamy and sweet - again, a nice change from the typical dark elements of the genre. I enjoyed my time with Alex and Roman and rooted for them to get their HEA (which of course, they did).
I am rating this three stars instead of four because the consistency of writing quality in the first third of the book seems to be lower than the last two thirds. Luckily, the relationship and action pick up in the second two thirds, which is where it matters.
The HEA is sweet and steamy. So, if you are looking for a sweeter mafia romance, give this a try.
The book was very average. I really didn't want to read it after a point but I finished it anyways.
Things I liked~ ✅ Female Lead, she was good and unique. She was a soft virgin type but not annoying or dumb. She held her ground, didn't give up and always voiced her opinions. ✅ h relationship with her father. It was something relatable and unique as well. Usually in mafia romances fathers of MCs are awful, not in this one. I almost liked h's father more than the H. ✅The cover!!! It was so good.
Things I didn't like~
❌ How H was portrayed like a small child instead of vid bad mafia. Seriously, like the only way to know he was a bad monster was through narration. It wasn't shown by actions or anything. He was constantly being yelled at and ordered around which was fucking annoying considering he was old and all. ❌The orphanage plot. I mean really? 15 kids? How's a person supposed to just accept that their wife wants to adopt an entire orphanage? It was annoying and felt unnecessary. ❌The last twist, iykyk, it was predictable, dull and kind of off-putting.
Writing was in the third pov which kinda makes it confusing at times.
Cover- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Only thing I seem to like about it.)
Spice- 🌶️🌶️ (It could have been so much better.)
Writing- ⭐ (It was lazy. MCs banters and fights felt off.)
Plot- ⭐ (It wasn't anything new or exciting, could have been a lot better with some more mafia aspects and removing that orphanage part altogether.
Super hot read with loads of excitement Alex was not happy about the arranged marriage to Roman. It was because her father was a crime Lord and Roman‘s father was a mafia boss and together they could stop the wars, they could stop the fighting and the killing of their men. Roman didn’t trust Alex he had asked that she take a virginity test and because she said no he instantly thought she’d already slept around. Therefore he didn’t want to spend any time with him. Even asking his friends to try and bed her. Roman was in for a shock because Alex was so sweet and innocent in everything. She’s got a tender heart But when Roman starts to see this, all hell breaks loose when somebody tries to kill Alex. Can Roman keep her safe will they ever grow to be a happily married couple?? This was an exciting read I’ll be very honest and say I did not like Roman at the beginning of this book but to see the soft side of him as he gets to know Alex and to help her fulfil her dreams was just beautiful. They have true chemistry and the passion between them is out of this world but what really got me was the true tender love that they felt for one another but it didn’t come smoothly. A really good read thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I received a free copy of this book via Evernight and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Roman was to marry Alex Smith. She wasn’t what he expected. She was a princess and he certainly didn’t plan to love her. Her being a virgin is a lie. He plans to prove it by having his friends flirt with her. But things don’t turn out as he thought. Alex hated her husband. She didn’t plan to marry. When her father set this up she wasn’t happy. But for the good of the families, she would do what’s right. Her husband didn’t like her. She just needed to keep her distance and keep to herself. No love lost. When an attack came about, now Roman has to protect her. But as they get close and learn more about each other is the heart getting involved?
I love this story. I has been in tears from the beginning of the story. Roman was cruel and stubborn. Alex just kept away from him. Made sure she did what is needed as a Mafia wife. She had a feeling his friends flirting was a set up. She was cautious but when things between them turns, you start to think ok this is going to be great. Then she finds out about the plan. OMG I had to keep tissue on hand because when you think it is getting better, BANG something else happens and my heart breaks and I’m in tears. You have to give it to his friend’s Marlo, Cash, and Antonio, they wanted to see these two together. As they said, they just fit.
Yeah, it wasn’t like a casual ‘meet a doctor, date a lawyer, see what happens’ kind of thing. No, their marriage (forget about a courtship) meant Alex and Roman were going to unite two powerful, mafia families regardless of love or even like. Throw in some self-worth (go Alex!), misconceptions and stubbornness on both sides and a familiar trope became an emotional and satisfying read…
Alex and Roman butted heads (and soon their hearts) at every turn. Just when they seem to come to a tentative understanding, something would happen. Whether it was family, enemies or even themselves, bumps in the road were a constant. I really enjoyed Alex not giving up on herself or what she needed to be happy, regardless of the friction it caused. Roman had his own issues but seeing him soften over time meant his gruff exterior revealed a lot more to like… I liked them, wanted them to figure things out, even when it seemed they would be lost to the harsh world they lived in.
A bit repetitive in spots but a story, and characters, that begged to be read and savored. Am looking forward to a lot more in the series.
*I happily reviewed this story **Thank you to NetGalley & Evernight Publishing
Roman had to get married and he was not happy about it. He didn't like her and couldn't wait to get rid of her. Alex is married to a man who despises her. What did she do to deserve this but be the daughter of bigger crime boss. Its not fair. Everything changes when Alex's life is in danger. Roman will stop at nothing to save her..falling in love wasn't supposed to happen but getting her to fall in love with him, that's the real challenge.
This story took a long while to get going. I was tempted to abandon it many times, but I'm no quitter.😀. I couldn't get past the "anti mafia" moments in the story. Roman had to be taught to seduce a woman? Roman and Alex needed "lessons" on how to act like a couple? Roman and Alex have a family filled with the unwanted children of the family Capos? There were parts of this story that were too far fetched to be believable. Roman was a hard ass, but had a softer side as well. Alex was tough, but so naive at the same time. It was..strange, but in the end, it was a good story. I'd love to know how the kids grew up within reach of their biological fathers and if that knowledge is ever discovered.
