This love story annoys me a little, so I gave it a 3.5/5.
The writer repeatedly wrote about how hot and sexy the leading characters were, which is annoying. Describing their body or their sexual tension in deep detail, again and again, is such a waste of space. Readers are not simpletons. We understand that. The writer did not need to mention that on every page or so. The writer should spend those spaces describing more detail about what the characters were thinking or more of the background or history. By doing this, the writer lets the readers know more about the characters.
I have high hope for these novels, so it is a big disappointment for me to learn after reading 100 pages or so that this story is boring. However, after the story progresses to the training to become a firefighter and the male leading character's story, it was more interesting.
In summary, the love story is not so much engaging. What interested me is the firefighter's story.
