Well done

This should be used as an example of how nudist families should be.
The story is well written, with a few typos that don't distract from the message.

M.S. Rosen, after both this and the book about 'Abby', is now my favorite author of the nudist genre.
Despite the inevitable flow from one year to the next, I did NOT want this coming-of-age tale to end. 'Mark' is a masterful narrarator and his youth does not hinder him from painting one scene after another of innocence and learning, pleasure and tension. The only way to fully experience nudism fiction is to strip down, lay on one's bed, and enjoy every page you can turn to, as I did. The varied ventures of Mark, his sisters, and his friends kept me up for multiple evenings, but if not for wanting to post this review and turn the light out, the conclusion was so satisfying that I wanted to simply close my eyes, scratch my tummy, and fade off to sleep right then. So grateful to you, M.S., keep telling your wonderful tales.

Another fun romp into the world of Nudists

I can't speak for everyone else but I've enjoyed both books (so far) that the author has published on Amazon. As opposed to Abby's story, which the main character discovered nudism as an adult, this story follows a family that is open-minded and the main character discovers nudism as a preteen and describes his experiences growing up. There are a few misspellings and grammatical errors but they are easy to pass over and don't detract from the story. I'm looking forward to more books by M.S. Rosen.

A good story with few grammatical errors

It was a good story telling the misperception of not only nudity, but how males and females miscommunicate. Sometime just by not asking questions or by assuming a ts that are not true. Enen if the story was not about nudism people could learn a lot from this story on communication and miscommunication along with misperception.

It's a great book to read if anyone is struggling with the idea of nudity. Also many people suffer from not feeling their bodies are attractable enough. This book is a great help and understanding the separation between nudity and sex. It also points out how accepting who you are and not being ashamed of your body

Great story

I enjoyed reading this so much that I spent most of the reading. There was a lot of insightful stuff about human relationships. In some ways it felt like a draft that needed more proofreading, words where the wrong letter was typed, that cost it only 1 star. It would have helped if I had read in in a seventh grade sex ed and inter relationship class.

I had some nudist related stuff on Amazon and of course it started suggesting nudist fiction. I clicked on one and was flooded with more suggestions. I tried some samples and most of it was pretty pathetic, basically preaching to the converted stuff. this included OMG! I’m Naked in School, the start of is all build up to some mysterious upcoming event. The secret is given away in the title I'm already a nudist. I don't need to be sold on the lifestyle. Then this one came up. It sounded more interesting, so I gave it a try.

Mark and his family move to a rural home with a pond and plenty of privacy. Of course somebody tries skinny-dipping. It spreads from there, to the rest of the family, friends and even school. There is some sexual content, which is out of place in a nudist environment, but it isn't graphic. Mostly about curiosity and because it is also a Coming-of-Age story.

I think most people are rating this so high because it is much better written than most nudist fiction. My much lower rating is based on comparing it to all other books I've read. It definitely doesn't stand up alongside John Irving or Tom Robbins. Even so, it is okay. It's not overly preachy. Nudist etiquette is very much present, but unlike most nudist stories, it doesn't overwhelm the reader. Unfortunately, the sections about others who are not so accepting of the lifestyle feel awkward.

I'm being generous with the four star rating as there aren't a lot of nudist books and this is certainly one of the better ones. Having said that, this book would benefit greatly from a good proofreading - it is littered with typos and some rather egregious errors.

My biggest complaint is how rushed the story feels. The story starts when the main character, Mark, is 10. We get two short chapters and then he's already 13, and the story hurtles towards the end, where he's a high school graduate.

Despite all this I enjoyed the story. It does a good job of balancing nudist sensibilities and sexual concerns (unlike some of it's peers which avoid discussing sex at all costs). If this is your niche, I definitely recommend it.

Oh two last complaints: I hate the title - it just screams "incest porn!" - and the cover photo is absolutely atrocious.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, in a vicarious kind of way. Wish I could have grown up in a house with attitudes dislplayed by this family, but I was in the other kind of family.

I've enjoyed all your M.S. Rosen's books on Amazon thus far. You've written on this subject from both a male and female point of view. The way you nailed all the mixed emotions a guy goes through on this subject makes me feel like you're probably a dude. You really nailed it, but then in the other two books I was convinced you were female.

You write so well - just need a better proof-reader. If you're reading this, I would love to proofread your future books, and hoping there are many more, as you're on my favourite authors list.

Big deal

This sensitive tale is special for its insightful look at the relationships between not only family members but also the wider community of school friends, parents and teachers. The characters are real and honest and made me wish I could be with them or know them too. The storyline moves with good pace and explores the development of reactions to nudity in various subtle ways. Definitely 5*.

Perfect Introduction to Nudity

Very well written, honest look at society and nudity. Includes the joy and the challenges of being naked outside one's home, from both male and female perspectives.

Sweet story

A good story of growing up and learning to accept people as they are. Nudity is a very prominent part of the story, but it's more about self-discovery and getting along with other people.

You'll wish you could be there.

I liked this story. It sounds like a ton of fun to live so carefree. The book has its sexy moments, but the book doesn't linger there. I'll read it again soon.

The book tells the conflict between non-sexual nudity (or naturism) ideas and how people, in general, think about nudity quite clearly. There are some sexual scenes described explicitly, but this is done from the narrator's point of view who is struggling to separate nudity and sex in his adolescence. The message in the end is clear. However, the story pace is too quick for me and I can't catch the narrator's character growth as he grows up.
