➳Title: Cocky Quarterback: ERIC
➳Series: Cocker Brothers of Atlanta Series 12#
➳Author: 💕 Faleena Hopkins
➳Publication Date: August 13, 2017

Yay! Another Cocker Brothers of Atlanta book
➦This is book 12 of the Cocker series but book 5 of the Cocker Brother's offspring. Each one is a standalone but so much better if you begin with book one of the series & read them in order. I know that I’ve enjoy the journey-but no worries you can read this series in any order. Enjoy the family!

►With that said ⬇
➦Next generations Cocker

♥●• Eric Cocker Quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, if you can believe it this is one of the most cockiest of the cockers Clan so far, like all the other cockers Eric has plenty of self-confidence & he also got the looks to go with it of course-I love how humble he can be, also the man be so brutally honest it hurts

►Eric was believe to have taken a bet with his teammates that he can bed the witty waitress, only thing is Eric has met his match with this one
Challenged

♥Wren the smart mouth, waitress at O’Neal’s sport bar for the night. She usually doesn’t work this shift, let alone as a waitress. See Wren is the bartender at O’Neal’s sport bar, she just was coving this shift for a friend

► Wren is big fan of football, just not fan of the arrogant jocks… to prove her point, she wasn’t surprised when she was spoken to in vulgar way by one of the Atlanta Falcons teammates
“Hey sweet tits, can we get another pitcher over here or what?”
↔ I enjoyed how their friendship developed throughout the story. I loved that they have a friendship first & built upon that foundation.

►To be honest I not a fan of cheater in my books, so I was somewhat hesitant about reading this book when Wren said she had boyfriend, Wren was torn between being loyal to her boyfriends & her growing feeling for Eric –

This was classic Faleena Hopkins with plenty of fun loving humor – plenty of family drama & of course plenty of steamy chemistry between the characters- and yes yes Faleena Hopkins didn’t forget to put in some very steamy scenes

►Oh & don’t forget to watch your language around “Granny “- that women might be at least 100 years ago but she can hear your dirty mouth block away

➦Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion

💕 **"I did received an ARC from this amazing talented author, Faleena Hopkins
💕 **" but don't let that mislead you. 💕 **"
Should be read in order

1:-Cocky Roomie- Jake
2:- Cocky Biker- Jett
3:- Cocky Cowboy – Jaxson
4:- Cocky Romantic- Jason
5:- Cocky Senator –Justin
6:- Cocky Soldier -Jeremy
7:- A Honey Badger X-mas
8:- Cocky Senator’s Daughter: Hannah
9:- Cocky Genius: Ethan
10: Cocky Rockstar: Gabriel
11 Daughter: Emma
12 ➦: Cocky Quarterback: ERIC 💕
This series is a must-read. It gets better and better with each new book. Can't wait to see whose next!!

➦I recommend the entire series
Each book can be read as a Standalone.. But honestly I have no clue why you’d do that.

➦ Faleena Hopkins- I was incredibly honored & thrilled to receive a very early copy of her new Cocky Quarterback: ERIC 💕 -Thank you: Faleena Hopkins I really appreciate the opportunity....

➦ Just to make it clear Wren didn’t cheat on Peter

With happened with this book? I was reading Eric's story, and about halfway/two thirds of the way through, it switched to Ethan's story, which I have already read. I want the rest of ERIC's story, dammit! Very disappointing!!!

Thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited otherwise this book would have been a total waste of time and money.Unfortunately I'll never get back the time I wasted trying to get through the first 25% of this book. Terrible writing, lame story and bland characters. No more for me.

With such uninspired and overused titles I’m not surprised she needs to cheat in order to keep them original. Instead of threatening people she should use the time to come up with something new.

When: your brand is cocks, and males with Cocky attitudes... then you trade mark "Cocky" and develop a bad attitude yourself; you KNOW you just fucked your career... I hope you got a pen name and a backup idea, because Cocky just fucked you royally.

As always, Faleena Hopkins writes a story that is just amazing. One that you can't put down until you have finished and then you want more. Part of an amazing Cocky series, the son of Jake and Drew (Cocky Roomie), their youngest has finally found out what his brother and sister have already found--LOVE! He's the youngest in the family, and extremely popular due to his status as an NFL quarterback. He's used to the publicity and living the single life with "all" the perks, especially from the ladies. He thinks his brother and sister are crazy and their settled down life will never be what he wants until he meets his match and I do mean his perfect match with Wren. Wren is an independent girl who is fiercely loyal to the people in her life as well as having high moral standards that she lives by. She is a hard worker and tries very hard to treat others the right way, and she does. She is tested early in the story with Eric, but holds strong to who she is despite her inner feelings. Eric finds her fascinating and can't seem to shake the feelings he has for a girl that's not his. This is a great story where we get to visit his parents again, and to revisit some similarities between their story and Eric's. There are a few ups and downs in this story, which you would expect, because life is not predictable or easy. However, those moments are what cause some of the most intense and beautiful parts of this story. When a person finally realizes they are in love, it can be the most poignant part of any story. This one has it all. This one is a beautifully sweet, one that has you wanting to continue to turn the page despite what you should be doing with your day. Eric is the best blend of Jake and Drew, and Wren is the perfect woman to become a Cocker. Two unlikelys that meet and have beautiful love. This story just goes to show you that it doesn't matter your lot in life, true love is possible with, sometimes, the most unexpected of people. Truly a story for anyone who enjoys honesty, loyalty and beautiful love. If you are familiar with the series, you will also be excited with Grams. God I love that character!! The whole Cocky series is a must read. You will be glad you did. By the way, the very first book in the series is Cocky Roomie, Eric's parents love story. Thanks again Faleena and I look forward to the next one!!! I read this book voluntarily as an ARC for a honest review!

Good

I enjoyed this book for the most part. I wish Eric wasn't quite as manwhorish as he was but other than that it was a good read. Eric and Wren were both good characters that had amazing chemistry together. This was a quick, sexy and sweet read! Low on angst and drama!

This was a great read! However when they broke up -- had their misunderstanding... I felt like it took too long to get back together. I'm impatient like that.

Great read with fun characters. Glad I added this author to my list. She rocks!

Can a wren and a falcon fly together in peace?
Life is all about perspective, how our perspective can change. How we react to situations. Are you in control or have you given up control of your life? Ms. Hopkins stories have a way of touching something in you, her characters are someone you might know, a friend, a neighbor, the person standing next to you in line. Wren is an interesting character, little by little you find out her story. Not everyone is confident in themselves or their talents. I wanted to reach in and touch her, alternatively giving her a hug or an approving wink. Eric you can’t help but like, he seems to have it all but is still down to earth. He may have all the confidence in the world but he is humble and knows that with a supportive team you can accomplish anything.
This is a great story because it tells a heartwarming story of overcoming obstacles that are thrown in their path, loyalty tested and shows the esprit de corps that comes with being part of a team. It is not all sunshine and roses and shows that not everyone is nice and honest, that not everyone wishes only the best for others. At one point I really got frustrated with Wren, how could she not see what was right in front of her but then I realized in real life we seldom see things clearly until we are not so emotional or until we can step back from the situation. This is one of the reasons Ms. Hopkins stories are so enjoyable, they are not so fantastical that they are unbelievable. They are a nice reminder that life does have happily ever afters if we go after them.
I received this as an ARC and am so happy I did! Once you read one book in the series you will want to read them all! Each book can be read as a stand alone but it is so much more enjoyable reading them all as each book reveals a bit more about the Cocker family.
Happy reading 😉

Aaanddd, she's back! After loving Emma's and Hannah's stories I liked Ethan's and really didn't care for Gabriel's. I started to get a little worried that my Hopkins/Cocker Brothers ride was starting to derail. Eric's book smashed that idea to pieces and the train is firmly back on the tracks.

I absolutely loved this book. The female protagonist Wren is a fireball with some self-confidence issues, a charming contradiction. The male protagonist, in the theme of all the Cocker males, is a cocky, self-assured jock who has his axis tilted when a woman doesn't fall at his feet. Their journey to their HEA is a different one and it was a pleasure to read. It was almost 60% of the way through the book before they got together. This gave them a shorter time as a couple before the precipitating event. I'm never a fan of the walk away without talking it out breakup that so many books, including this one, seem fond of. It just seems contrived to me. I guess for the drama of the storytelling it was necessary as if Wren had talked to Eric things never would have spiraled where they did.

I was so excited to see Jake and Drew's involvement in helping to solve problems here. I've always liked the first Cocker couple! The crisis/makeup scene is a great read and I absolutely adored the way the author channeled a message about bullying into the way it went down. There is also a semi-subtle message about our jock culture. Also liked the quick PSA re sexual assault. So many good messages in this book!

So Eric is definitely my favorite second generation Cocker story. I'm anxious to see who is next and looking forward to reading the continuation of the series. Thank you Faleena for another great read!

Wren and Eric are proof positive that birds of a feather often flock together and if there’s a Cocker involved they will fall headlong into love. Wren presents to the world a no nonsense exterior and has a gentle artist soul. She has no patients for playboy jockstraps that think just because they can pass for 50 yards all the world should bow down at their feet. She prefers more creative souls, like her current boyfriend. While granted Peter isn't the most attentive of boyfriends. He at least doesn't act like he owns every room he walks into like a certain QB who just waltzed into her life. Eric has always been in it for the instant thrill. The rush of the yards, the girls, the money, the fame. Hey that the pro-ballers life right? When he meets the beautiful Wren and she is immune to his charms he is instantly intrigued. Her strength of character, smarts, humor, and beauty - boy her schmuck of a boyfriend should be proud of the woman he has on his arm. The two have a chemistry that is electric, but Eric respects her devotion to her relationship, no matter how much he wishes she was his. But when he finds out that the scum has been unfaithful all bets are off. However, there are still haters out there that would seek to ruin something so special. A Hail Mary just might be needed to win the HEA!

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.

Eric Cocker is star quarterback for the Falcons. He loves the fame, and women are easy to come by. He just needs to flash his million-dollar smile and they usually fall at his feet. Except Wren.

“You’re not meant for him. You’re meant for me.”

Wren is the gorgeous, tattooed, straight-talking, sassy bartender at his favourite haunt. Even though it’s obvious that she’s attracted to him, she has a boyfriend and high principles – plus, she doesn’t like jocks.

“We haven’t talked about what we are to each other, but my blood is racing with the belief that something special really has happened.”

What starts out as an attempt to get her into his bed for one night, turns into something more, and Eric finds himself behaving out of character.

Another fab story from this brilliant, amusing series about the formidable Cocker family.

Eric is charming, funny and caring, and I loved watching his feelings for Wren evolving. I loved his banter with his teammates and his family. Although Wren is sassy and kinda badass, she has real integrity and a core of vulnerability that I found endearing. The two of them have chemistry in spades and I loved them together! So sexy, funny and pretty sweet.

As always, loved the appearance of other members of the Cocker family in this novel, and can’t wait for the next book!

Is that a bird tattoo on her middle finger?
Eric is the youngest child of Jake and Drew Cocker, (Cocky Roomie) the couple who started the series. He is young, famous, funny, and good looking. He’s a Cocker, need I say more? Eric meets Wren at the team’s favorite after game sports bar and is pulled in by this cute girl with laughing eyes and bird tattoos. Cocky jocks, no matter how good looking, are not Wren’s type. Besides, she has a boyfriend! Eric has women falling at his feet, so when Wren shuts him down it’s game on! After a few “chance” encounters he starts falling for her and it becomes more for him than just wanting a date. Once again, we see the love and strength of the Cocker family when they come together to protect one of their own. You will revisit family members that have already had their HEA, plus some new friends and characters to love. Of course, no Cocker story would be complete without Grams making an appearance! Faleena has a flair for letting you experience the hurt and pain her characters go through, then the warmth and happiness when things end well for them. Each book is stand alone, but reading the series from the beginning will get you hooked and make you a lifelong #Cockerstaker like me. I receive ARC copies of the books for my honest reviews, but also purchase them to support the author.

Is Faleena Incredible Or What?! Definitely Incredible!!

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book, Cocky Quarterback: Eric Cocker by Faleena Hopkins.

What can I say?! I absolutely adore Faleena's phenomenal Best Selling books!! Her talent for writing some of the best romance books I have ever read is limitless. Her books are perfection. I reread them over and over. If I were reading paperbacks, I'm sure they would be falling apart by now.
I love that Cocker family members that I already know and love, keep showing up in each one of her new Cocker books that she publishes. What more could one ask for than a cocky Cocker in their day?

Eric, Eric, Eric. Definitely a Cocker, through and through! Playboy, cocky (of course!), charming and a heart of gold, quarterback for the Falcons. Women never say no to him. Women chase him not the other way around. Then he meets Wren.

Wren is a bartender at Eric's favorite bar. Eric is incredibly attracted to Wren the moment he sees her and isn't shy about it. But Wren has a boyfriend and refuses to betray him in any way. Even though Eric respects Wren for standing up for what she believes in, like any other Cocker, giving up is not an option.

Then something happens that changes everything. Does Eric have a chance at a HEA with Wren or will a conniving POS succeed in ruining it for them?

I loved this next book in the Cocker Brothers series. It was a bit of a new twist to add in the sports element to this romance series, which I love (every book in this series is different, not just the same repetitive plot over and over). This time we get Eric's story, quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, who is used to a life of partying and girls. But one run-in with a girl that is loyal to her current boyfriend and who doesn't succumb to Eric's charm like every other girl...and Eric is intrigued. I loved Wren as the heroine in this story - she was edgy, serious and had strong morals, but had also lost herself along the way. It was refreshing to see her journey back to herself that happened because of her alone. It showed that sometimes finding your own way is the best way to rediscover who you are. There was definite heat in this story, and a great plot that we can expect from Faleena's books. It was also fun to catch up along the way with some of our other favourite Cockers. Looking forward to the next one in this series - which cousin will it be?! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Eric, if you are a great fan of the Cocker family and the cousins that would be enough. Eric is gorgeous, sexy, plays with the ladies, has an amazing sense humor, and is a quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. What single woman doesn't want him? That would be the ever faithful, kind, beautiful, and funny Wren. Unfortunately she is faithful to the wrong man. Eric wants her the minute he sees her bartending in the bar the team goes to all the time, but she will not betray her boyfriend, not even doing something innocent with Eric. Eric does not give up, and Wren is having feelings for him as well. Then the day comes when Eric can make her his, and the relationship is perfect... almost. There are ups and downs and a HEA fitting the Cocker family. I love this series, the books are well written, the family dynamics of the family are believable, and it makes you want to be part of the family, or at least be invited to the family BBQ. Thank you Faleena Hopkins for letting us be a part of the Cocker family again. As always waiting for more.

I voluntarily received an ARC for an honest review. I love the way the Cocker family has grown and shifted into the next generation. With each book, we get little teasers about what will happen in the future stories. Eric is the quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, and is loving his bachelor lifestyle. Wren is a waitress at the bar the Falcons go to when they want to celebrate. Wren is covering a shift for her friend the night they meet. She doesn't give in to his cocky allure and it makes him try harder. She has a boyfriend though, and values the meaning of trust in a relationship. Eric doesn't want to give up though, and it helps shift them into a friendship. I like the values in this story. I like that Eric and Wren make each other stronger, better versions of themselves. This series is a must-read. It gets better and better with each new book. Can't wait to see who's next!!

I loved this book. Eric and Wren are great charge that are honest about who they are and with what they say. I enjoyed their banter and friendship add it developed throughout the story. I loved that they have a friendship first and built upon that foundation.
I have to say that I appreciate Wren's stance on cheating and that Eric finally understand her point of view on the subject. I do think that a little more time could have been put in explaining why she feels the way that she does about the subject. I also wish that more background was explained about the building and leaving of her old band. I feel like this was glossed over.
Asides from the two small problem, I loved this book and highly recommend that you give this one a read.

I loved Cocky Quarterback by Falenna Hopkins.

Eric is the quarterback for the Falcons. He is sexy, a dirty talker and can get any woman he wants by just flashing his smile. Until he meets Wren. She is the beautiful tattooed bartender, who just happens to be a football fan that hates jocks. Not to mention she already has a boyfriend. But as she gets to know the real Eric, her feelings start to shift and she starts to see him as more then a jock. Especially when he beats up her boyfriend for cheating.

But what happens when a bet he didn't even take threatens the relationship they are forming??? Will she give him the chance to right the misunderstanding??

One click and fall in love with this incredible family

Awesome (again) Cocker Family contemporary with a touch of football romance. Ms. Hopkins does this series justice with every book. Eric is the famous quarterback Nick in the family. He plays football hard and lives women. Then he meets Wren who works at the local pub. Eric admires her because even though he's cocky she refuses to cheat on her boyfriend. That is until Eric sees him cheating on Wren and he goes ballistic. So their story begins but things with the Cocker love lives always go wrong. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Hopkins.

My new favorite Cocker!!!
I know I say that every time, but I am in love with Eric! And this whole series!!! Being a Georgia girl myself I love the Atlanta setting, but even non-Southerners can't help but love these people!!! The way Eric totally falls for Wren is pure magic. And the little nudges from Jake & Drew...well that's what family is for. If I wasn't already a die hard Falcons fan, I would be now!

Favorite quote: “Pretty soon you’re going to remember who you are, and you’re going to be amazed.”

I can't say enough good things about this book. It’s getting harder and harder to come up with different ways to express my love for each new book. This book had all the features that make up a great Cocker story:
1) Cocker male who says he’ll never fall for a woman, but falls hard
2) The Cocker male who can't accept that he's falling in love and goes to cousin who points out the obvious
3) The reputation of the Cocker family
3) The family BBQ and Grams
4) A Glimpse into one of the cousin’s future story

So it seems somebody got very disturbed with my previous review and decided to flag it although it didn't contain any profanity addressed towards the author.
Anyway since I have to focus my content on the book itself I will say this: the series is a waste of your time, every book is almost the same, just change the names and some situations. Copy paste and all that.
I absolutely loathed the book and I do not recommend this to anyone.

If you are still disturbed by the review, well at least now it is nicely put between the guidelines.

The chemistry is great between Eric and Wren is amazing. But misunderstanding tears them apart. In the end Jake and Drew show up and melt in there baby boy's life. Thank god. The way Faleena Hopkins writes I understand and You're waiting for one more thing to be fixed but when the story doesn't go it can be confusing. Just read it and you will fall in love with Eric. I know I did and I fell in love with grams a little more.

To Faleena: Once again an amazing job.

Wren and Eric are an amazing team. I laughed with both of them at the silliness that was Eric. I got angry with Wren about the bet too. Faleena as always touches our hearts with her characters and makes them the best couple they can be. She is an amazing author and we hope for many more amazing books from her for many years to come. From me personally: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Best gift you gave us on your birthday!

I don't know how you do it but every book is better then the last. The story between Eric and Wren is incredible. Up until the end I thought they were not gonna make it and I was trying to figure out where this story was gonna go. I just couldn't put this book down, I had to know if the ending was gonna make me cry or not. Don't get me wrong I still had tears in my eyes but they were happy ones. Another amazing book Faleena can't wait to see who falls next.

Ethan’s forehead wrinkles up as he squints at the sky like he’s reading an encyclopedia up there. “Wren, small cinnamon-colored bird known as the House Wren because it likes to nest near where humans live, or in bird houses. Known for its beautiful song. Quite small though,” he smirks, locking onto my eyes. “Yet here she holds the power over a mighty Falcon. Fascinating.”

Eric and Wren are just too darn cute. I loved them both. This book was not a tear jerker like some of her other books, instead I thought it was fun. Yeah, there a huge misunderstanding, but everything is okay in the end. My favorite of the kids was Emma…might have a tie now.

I received a complimentary copy from the author.
