It just didn't do it for me, really. Too many gory details, and a lacking plot which made the book one of the most boring novels I've read. I liked the humour, though, even though it was a cheap one and it won't affect the rating I gave to the book.
If you have read one of Kathy Reichs novels before it follows the same formula as Brennan is once again tasked with solving a case only this time it’s not just one set of bones she has to deal with. This time the story takes us into the world of biker gangs and all that surrounds them. It was a fun read though I found like her other books that she would get to deep into the science that would slow the story down. But for me it was worth the time and I look forward to reading another of her stories.
Two engaging novels, although I found myself skipping over long descriptions of places and details. Told from a professional viewpoint, it is factual with regards to forensic analysis and the identification of bodies, whilst some aspects of the fictional stories were a stretch for the imagination. Overall, an interesting read.
Kathy Reichs has a good turn of phrase and her stories usually move along at a rapid and exciting pace. Not this one - dragged along in a majorly complicated way.
Was disappointed with this book. Maybe I read too many "Bones" books in sequence but I thought the plot lacked. In the book prior it was Tempe's sister in trouble this book it was her nephew...pleeeez.
One of the Temperance Brennan books. I think this one must have been written during the period where I didn't like her writing. I was a little meh about it.
