At His Mercy
One of the things I loved about this book is that our couple knew each other in real life, but didn’t become attracted to the other until they saw that their kinks lined up. I also loved that he was just as much into her as she was to him, and they both were fighting it, although for different reasons. Their chemistry could not be denied, and while that lead to some discord, it eventually worked itself out.
Claiming Cleo
There were a lot of really good BDSM scenes in this story! The connection between the two characters was so evident when they were together in a M/s situation, it was such a contrast to how they interacted outside of those scenes.
Freeing Rowan
Once things click into place for these two, it is better than they could have ever imagined!

AT HIS MERCY
After Jess sees her boss at a local BDSM club she is sure to come to work the next day to no job. When he calls her to his office she is even more sure. Instead of firing her though he offers her an invitation to another club he is in. Still in the same realm but a lot more exclusive.
She has no clue what she is in for after accepting the invitation... Or if they will even accept her as she learns she has to audition to be accepted.
This club is unlike any she has ever been too. Higher quality space and equipment and would she dare say higher quality people. She learns her invitation is to audition be one of the venues pleasure submissives. If you don't have a sub that day choose one of theirs. It was her boss Camerons idea but he soon realizes that he doesn't want to share her and wants her all to himself. This hasn't ever happened before, wanting one single submissive, but here he is.
The will they won't they was a given . The final result an obvious but the path there with all of their interactions was titillating to follow.

One night as she awaits someone to pick her, she looks up to from a tap on her shoulder to see the person she ran from.
Jack knew Cleo was still working at the club and wanted to see her. He had sent her a letter wanting to see how she was but she refused to answer him.

This book, though fiction, is definitely a tale of sub frenzy and what NOT to do.
Rowan is at the BDSM training club because her master feels that she could use some training. At this club, this is a normal part of it and they pride themselves in the things they teach submissives and dominants alike. They have never had a submissive who was not overly eager to be there. Rowan is different though as she seems overly nervous and unsure as what is expected of her there.
Eric is one of the trainers at the club. He is tasked with being the one to train Rowan. He is sure that it will be just like any other session but once he meets her and introduces her first task, he can see that this is now something she is really for.
As they work at training her in different areas, it comes to light that her master may be the one who needs some training. Rules he has for Rowan are a little more strict than one would expect, especially for the way she is acting.
John is the master of Rowan. Due to some issues with training, the owners feel he should come back and check how things are and decide if she should keep going. Once he arrives, all the club owners seem taken aback on how he treats her and when he decides she is going home, Eric gives her his number in case she needs anything. Turns out she will need that number later on,
John is certainly not a master, The things he thinks he is doing right are most definitely all wrong. For an example, he tells Rowan that she can't have her phone until she has learned some things. This is not correct and is actually quite abusive. After one particular bad punishment Rowan has decided she has had enough and tries figuring out a way to leave. Though worried he will be disappointed, her well being prevails.

Coworkers Hayden and Dahlia have been innocently flirting for a while. Hayden had joked with her about spankings but it wasn't until an overhead phone conversation that she realized Dahlia has had fantasies about BDSM but did she Hayden mentioned that a club he belongs to has an open house of sorts coming up but if she wants to go she has to answer some hard questions with Dahlia passes with flying colors but the event may be too much for her. He will have to find out.

In Dare To Be Naughty we get a teaser story of Hayden and Dahlia, coworkers who have been slowly drifting over to the flirting side of things. After the Masters Club Christmas party, where Dahlia got a taste of BDSM she had only read about in novels, her and Hayden started spending more and more time with each other. Hayden is determined that she is a sensual masochistic slave while Dahlia is not sure if she is anything at all. Hayden definitely puts her through the paces any time they are together and though she is trepidatious, Dahlia submits to him with all she can muster.
During a vicious storm that causes them to be housebound, Hayden has the great idea to push her to see how much she can handle. Though a tad fearful, she does her best. It may not be good enough and Hayden may push too far but the weekend definitely shows them where to go from there.
As an aside, there is a point in the book where one of the sub girls comments saying her and her partners story could be a book. That was chuckle worthy since it was one.
As always great writing and I love that each club member get their story told.

Just to say this is a great BDSM club themed romance series - but leans towards the heavier side of BDSM, whips etc, just as a warning for those who only enjoy reading about a bit of spanking and bondage. I would have given it 5 stars but for the egregious and frequent use of c**t to address one of the subs - I detest that word when used to address a woman. Recommended.

DARE TO BE NAUGHTY
Hayden...hot doctor, erotic pain master extraordinaire! I've been waiting to read his story! Now I'm REALLY looking forward to reading his entire story!
Dahlia...hot doctor, new to the scene...very curious, very intrigued! A perfect match for the good doctor! You could practically feel the sparks between the two of them!
I felt like I was being initiated into the scene while reading this short peek into the upcoming 4th book! Hayden was cautious about inviting her, but excited to show her his other world. This reader thinks Dahlia's the perfect match for him!
Dahlia was very excited about being invited to the Club; I think mainly to be with Hayden (and who could blame her?), but also pretty eager to learn more about Hayden's role in the Club and more about BDSM in general. She had read bits and pieces about the lifestyle and once Hayden mentioned the Club she did a little more research so she felt she was a bit more prepared. But can you ever really be prepared when you walk into a Club for the very first time? She’s about to find out!
I am SO looking forward to reading about Dahlia and Hayden's journey as he introduces her to his lifestyle and to see some of the other players I've met in previous books. It's gonna get HOT!!! I feel that this might just be the best of the series...SO FAR!

I absolutely loved this story about Eric and Rowan! Rowan thought she was in the type of BDSM relationship she wanted…but after being dumped at the Masters Club for training, her eyes were beginning to open and she began to have doubts. Personally, I thought her “owner” was a big jerk and was on a huge power trip! Eric felt off balance training Rowan without having talked with her owner. But he’s a professional so he just did what he was asked to do.
Rowan was very nervous and had a hard time getting through the pain in some of the exercises Eric was having her do. Eric became concerned when she wasn’t handling things the way he thought she should be. He was able to bring out the sweet side of her submissiveness and wondered why her master couldn’t get the same responses.
Then Master John went too far. Rowen removed herself from that “abusive” relationship and Eric was there to help her out. She and Eric already knew they had feelings for each other but Rowan was afraid of jumping into a new relationship so soon after leaving Master John. But her feelings for Eric were getting stronger.
Honestly? I think I fell a little for Eric too! He was so sweet with Rowan and tried really hard to hold back his feelings, but feelings are what they are, right? But he was patient and waited for Rowan to make the first move and when she did…talk about hot! Once they decided to go in that direction, the heat was on! Eric took her to new heights and she experienced things she hadn’t before…and it was all so beautiful! It was such a wonderful love story woven around Rowan and Eric’s relationship and I thoroughly enjoyed every single moment I spent reading this book! I am always impressed by authors who can create these stories that leave you wanting more. Another winner for Claire Thompson! If you haven’t read this series, you really should. You will love it!

I absolutely loved this book! This is the second book in the new series by Claire Thompson and it is a must read book! Cleo (who has deep feelings for Jack) was in a BDSM relationship with Jack and his wife in London. An accident leaves Jack a widower and he while he is grieving, Cleo feels a relationship is out of the question and she moves to New York - without telling him. After Jack climbs out of his grief, he heads to New York to see if they can actually build not only a BDSM relationship, but possibly more.
Cleo has worked hard to "get over" Jack, but when he shows up at the Masters Club in New York, she discovers she really isn't "over" him. Jack realizes he's going to have to work to get Cleo to see that they could have something and he starts with the D/s connection. He has to be sneaky though by buying her at an auction at the Club - she will be his and only his for five days - and he hopes that is enough time to get her to see that he has deeper feelings and he hopes that she does too. During the five days new things come to light...and Cleo blurts out why she left London, leaving Jack with hope that what he believes could happen, is actually going to happen!
I enjoyed this book tremendously! In fact, in my humble opinion, book 2 was even better than the first book, and the first book was awesome! The author does a fantastic job of allowing the reader to see all of the emotions from both Jack and Cleo and the ins and outs of their D/s relationship, as well as their budding love relationship.
The ending was fantastic and I am looking forward to reading more books in this series! If you haven't read the first book yet, you should! You are going to love it! Claire Thompson knows how to hook her readers!

This series is great. The Doms are deliciously controlling. The subs are smart but need saving.
AT HIS MERCY: I literally could not put this book down! I know I’ve said that before but this book is worth repeating myself. Jess is a young attorney who is searching for the right man. And Cameron is a Dom dead set against commitment and love. He keeps his private and professional life completely separate. Until he stumbles across Jess. Their story is full of twists and turns. If you like an strong dominant man and a strong but submissive woman then I highly recommend this book.
CLAIMING CLEO: I couldn’t put this one down. Who needs a clean house when there is a great book to read. This story has great characters and builds on the world introduced in At His Mercy. Claire Thompson writes superb and realistic BDSM stories. This one features Master Jack. He lost his wife and submissive in a car accident. When he tries to re-enter the BDSM scene he is confused by his feelings for a certain sub, Cleo. In the end he breaks her heart. So she moves to New York to start over. A year later he finally finds her. But will she give him a second chance? Can she trust him with her heart? Their courtship goes back and forth. It is full of angst and miscommunication. And just when you think they’ve worked it out there is another twist. I love reading Claire Thompson’s books because of this intricate and fast paced world building.
FREEING ROWAN: This is the third book in this series. I like how the start of the book overlaps with the part of the previous book. You don’t have to read it in order. But it is a nice touch that I like. This one features Rowan who is in over her head in a BDSM relationship. Fortunately she is sent to a trainer, Eric, who recognizes the problem. He gives her the knowledge to recognize what is wrong and the courage to rescue herself. But he is conflicted by his feelings for her. AT HIS MERCY: I literally could not put this book down! I know I’ve said that before but this book is worth repeating myself. Jess is a young attorney who is searching for the right man. And Cameron is a Dom dead set against commitment and love. He keeps his private and professional life completely separate. Until he stumbles across Jess. Their story is full of twists and turns. If you like an strong dominant man and a strong but submissive woman then I highly recommend this book.
CLAIMING CLEO: I couldn’t put this one down. Who needs a clean house when there is a great book to read. This story has great characters and builds on the world introduced in At His Mercy. Claire Thompson writes superb and realistic BDSM stories. This one features Master Jack. He lost his wife and submissive in a car accident. When he tries to re-enter the BDSM scene he is confused by his feelings for a certain sub, Cleo. In the end he breaks her heart. So she moves to New York to start over. A year later he finally finds her. But will she give him a second chance? Can she trust him with her heart? Their courtship goes back and forth. It is full of angst and miscommunication. And just when you think they’ve worked it out there is another twist. I love reading Claire Thompson’s books because of this intricate and fast paced world building.
FREEING ROWAN: This is the third book in this series. I like how the start of the book overlaps with the part of the previous book. You don’t have to read it in order. But it is a nice touch that I like. This one features Rowan who is in over her head in a BDSM relationship. Fortunately she is sent to a trainer, Eric, who recognizes the problem. He gives her the knowledge to recognize what is wrong and the courage to rescue herself. But he is conflicted by his feelings for her. 1. At His Mercy
I love BDSM romance books in general but the premise of the club itself had my heart beating a little harder than normal. Maybe because I'm no masochist and don't have a reference point, but even with that being said, I was wide-eyed and intrigued. I will admit to being a bit outdone with Mr. Lord for a good portion of the book. Even though he had all these attributes that people were singing his praises over, I had my doubts. It was a HUGE relief when he finally questioned what it was he was doing and exactly what kind of Dom he was letting himself become. That's when the fist pump and the "about time" came into play. Just from what I've read in 'At His Mercy' and knowing 'Claiming Cleo' is the next book in the series, I'm hooked. I want to know what happens next.

'Claiming Cleo' is the second book in Claire Thompson's "Masters Club" series and it's one that was easy to relate to the heroine of the story. Bless her heart, Cleo was the third play partner with a married couple while in London and then caught herself having feelings for Jack. When Fate steps in and deals a devastating blow it truly shattered their happy triad. Cleo couldn't deal with the changes in Jack's personality after all that time so she put in a transfer from the London Club to the Masters Club in New York. But after years of trying to get him off her mind and out of her heart, Jack shows up in New York wanting to pick up where things left off. REALLY? This was a second chance with all the emotional feelings. sizzling chemistry, and a Dom who goes through growing pains. I'm anxious to read 'Freeing Rowan' next.

Hayden, being the Head Master at the exclusive Masters Club, recognized her submissive tendencies but Dahlia was sending mixed signals. The only way to even consider her repeated request to accompany him to the club was to give her a test of submission. These are two very strong, confident personalities so I could relate to some of Dahlia's conflicts and trepidation. But Ms. Thompson not only brought the playfulness of all the flirting back and forth but the heat and chemistry of a D/s scene. At His Mercy
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and if the rest of the series is as good I can’t wait to read it. All the characters are interesting even though this is Cameron and Jess’s story and what a lovely story it is. The pace is great, there is almost no real angst which is refreshing and sorely needed in this age of COVID, there are great descriptions of RACK and the benefits of knowledge of BDSM instead of just playing at it, and a really enjoyable love story with a happy ending. A wonderful feel good story and I can’t wait for the rest of the series.
Claiming Cleoo
In the beginning I found Jack cold and more than a little cruel given why he was in New York, but once he got his act together he was the sweetest, loving and understanding partner Cleo could wish for. They say the road to true love never runs smooth and was that ever the case for Jack and Cleo, if only they had communicated instead of being bound by protocol. I loved the Waitrose expedition, and I shop there whenever I go back to England. Oh and I love marmite as well. One thing left outstanding that I would like to find out about is Rowan, but perhaps that is the next book. This is a lovely second chance romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Freeing Rowan
I really disliked John before he even made an appearance and even more when he did. He did redeem himself a little with the art show but the ending was almost surreal. Rowan and Eric were meant to be and the scenes they did were very steamy and hot. Brandon and Cleo continue to be supportive and caring. This was a really good story to emphasize the importance of only doing what is right for you and to not allow others to take over your life if you are not comfortable. Rowan was lucky in that she met Eric and he gave her great advice.

Dahlia is not in the lifestyle and thinks she is as vanilla as can be but is curious and when Hayden, a fellow physician makes an offhand remark about a Christmas at his club, she is intrigued and begs to be allowed to attend. Dahlia is fascinated by what she sees at the party but is in denial. When Hayden challenges her she waivers, will he be able to show her what she really craves? A very different perspective and a taste of what is to come, delicious.

I can’t honestly say that I got any warm fuzzies from these two, not like I did the others in the Master’s series especially Jack and Cleo. Hayden comes across for most of the book as arrogantly cruel and Dahlia as confused and desperate which may be unfair as I really liked Hayden before. Having said all that, I did enjoy the story. It is almost a cautionary tale about rushing into things we don’t understand and that Dom’s are not always right, they are fallible just like everyone, but a good one is strong enough and wise enough to admit his mistake. That was Hayden’s redemption in this book and finally Dahlia learned to speak up for herself.

Claiming Cleo
Claire Thompson has done it again by intricately weaving a BDSM love story. As crazy as those two words together sound this story will grab at your heartstrings. I actually cried real tears and laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes.
Cleo ran to the New York Masters Club with another broken heart. She no longer trusts her choice of men.
Master Jack has been mourning the tragic death of his wife. He now feels ready to move on. He, his wife, and Cleo used to scene together at the London Masters Club. He left London for a short vacation to visit the New York Masters Club. Master Jack needs to see if there is still a connection between himself and Cleo.
There are many twists and turns in the road for these two. I loved every minute of this book. When I came to the last page I couldn't believe it was the end. I even silently yelled No. Definitely left me wanting more, but had a fulfilled ending. Can't wait for book 3. Bravo Claire Thompson!

What a great continuation to The Masters Club series! This is definitely a page turner. Literally I couldn't put it down. This book is the incredible journey of Master Hayden and
Dahlia. We have met Master Hayden before at the Masters Club. He was never going to be tied down to only one Submissive. Choosing a different pleasure sub every night. He was never ever going to try a vanilla relationship. It just would never work for him.
Dahlia's only experience with BDSM was the novels she read. Hayden and Dahlia were both orthopedic doctors that worked together. They had a routine of meeting for breakfast at the hospital cafeteria. Although attacted to each other how in the world would it work between them.
This is the fun and very interesting part. The sex scenes are sizzling hot and intense. Promise there is not a boring moment and definitely won't be disappointed. You just have to read this book for yourself to find out how it works out.
Claire Thompson brings us back to the Masters Club with Freeing Rowan. We meet up with Cleo and Master Jack again. I absolutely loved their story. This book is about Rowan's journey to finding true submission and a Master worth serving. She has a rocky start as many do in their own journey. Rowan shows courage and bravery along her journey of ups and downs and many curves and bumps in the road. There is definitely some hot steamy scenes that Claire Thompson is so famous for. You won't want to miss out on Rowan's journey of coming full circle. This is her beautiful story. As always there is justice and surprises along the way.

I've read every book in this series separately so I can definitely recommend this box set! Here are the reviews I have posted for the individual books.
At His Mercy - I've read several of Claire's books, but this one was definitely the most intense. The audition and other BDSM scenes were very powerful. In the end, you have to feel kind of sorry for poor Cameron Lord and his renowned control, though -- he didn't know what hit him!! There were great characters throughout the book and I'm looking forward to seeing them again in future books from this brand new series. I would give this book more stars if I could!!
Claiming Cleo - Great second chance romance! Book two from this series doesn't disappoint! Even though this may be a story about a sadist and a masochist, it sure had a sweet, second-chance love story, too! With both of them not expressing their true feelings because they assume the other has the opposite viewpoint, they seem to go around in circles a lot. I was really wanting to nudge them BOTH to be honest! As usual, there were lots of very provocative scenes throughout the book.
Freeing Rowan - Another great story in this series. I loved the characters in this book, both the main couple and the other characters from the Masters Club we've already met in this series. There are a lot of intense scenes and some very sweet moments. Eric was really the hero with his understanding of what was going on with Rowan and providing the guidance she needed each step of the way. I was very amused at the eventual conclusion regarding the "bully."
Dare to be Naughty - OMG, what an initiation for newbie Dahlia and a prequel to More Than a Dare. Master Hayden is just scrumptious and the chemistry between these two physicians is captivating. I can hardly wait for the More than a Dare book to come out!!
More Than a Dare - Who's the teacher here? Dahlia may be the newbie here but Master Hayden also learned a few lessons in this sizzling book! I loved how the author revealed Dahlia's thoughts and reasoning throughout the book. I really liked that this couple were good friends/colleagues before becoming romantically involved. I recommend that you read the prequel, Dare to be Naughty, first. There were several recurring characters from the other books in the series as well, so if you've missed the first books, you should plan on reading them at some point, too!

I enjoyed the internal conflicts as each processes thoughts and emotions they do not want to feel.

This was a thrilling book to read, with high angst as Cleo battles herself, wanting so much and afraid to realize her dreams as Master Jack pulls out all the stops to reclaim what he had overlooked before.
Freeing Rowan -
Rowan definitely has submissive leanings although she doesn't seem to be aware of the multitude of different facets and nuances that exist for lifestyle relationships. Being sent away for the training her master could not achieve may be the best thing to happen to Rowan, she is reminded that she is not forever tied to that relationship, it can grow and evolve and is much her choice as her Dom's.
A complicated situation filled with the complexities of hero worship, burgeoning lust, love and an intensive lifestyle relationship competing with her lack of knowledge and trust in the first confident, self assured, dominant man to pay significant attention to her and her unfulfilled needs.

I had a good laugh at Dahlia's inventive imagination and Hayden's stray thoughts. I appreciated how the author was able to break down the mystique and perceived darkness of the lifestyle by infusing snippets of education and common sense into the storyline.

Dahlia is a strong, courageous woman, to recognize and reconcile her submissive self, needing to submit versus her dominant, confident self in the workforce.
Some of Hayden's perceived relationship expectations are not realistic, and made me laugh as in his fantasies, he neglects to take into consideration her personality and his feelings.

I've read an absolutely loved all of these books. Three of these books are different couples, two are a continuation of one couple's journey. Since they are my favorite, here's my review for Hayden and Dahlia's 2 books are here.
