Shifter Breeding

If you like Wild by DD Prince you’ll enjoy this book. There were a few grammatical errors, some of the dialogue was stilted, and the plot could have used more flushing of details. That simply means I would have liked more. A good read for anyone who likes shifter stories.

J'ai bien aimé cette histoire. C'est ma première lecture avec le thème "shifter". J'ai bien aimé le concept et le côté protecteur et alpha de Fenrir. J'aurais aimé que notre héroïne tienne un peu plus tête à notre héros et cherche à en savoir plus sur son histoire et ses origines (après tout c'était son boulot à la base non ?).
Bien que j'ai apprécié ma lecture de ce nouveau thème que je découvre, un petit quelque chose m'a gêné. J'ai trouvé qu'il y avait trop de scènes de sexe et ce dès le départ dans cette histoire au détriment du développement du lien affectif entre les deux personnages. Je ne sais pas si c'est comme ça à chaque fois pour renforcer le lien et faire ressortir l'instinct animal mais je me suis vu lever les yeux au ciel en me disant encore ? Va-t-il se passer autre chose ? Une menace va-t-elle se monter ? Les anciens membres de l'équipe vont-ils reprendre l'enquête ? Violet va-t-elle se faire des amies qui ont vécues la même histoire ? Heureusement les réponses finissent par arriver entre deux scènes hot. Je le répète mais j'aurais eu envie d'une évolution de la relation entre Fenrir et Violet qui soit plus forte sur le plan émotionnel. Avec pourquoi pas des moments de discussions plus touchantes pour augmenter leur lien affectif.

Everything I expected and wanted

Sometimes, you need a palette cleanser of a book to break up long series’; that is what this book was for me. I think the description gives a pretty accurate portrayal as to what to expect in the story. This book was heavy on the mating and less so on the plot, but in this moment, I really didn’t mind. Definitely enjoyed this book for what it was.

Hunted by the Wolf by Raven Willow

I found this wolf shifter book pleasantly different to one's if read before. Our alpha wolf Fenrir is so much more primal in nature.

Exceedingly possessive and protective of his mate.

The story of Violet and Fenrir in a countryside town full of hidden wolf shifters for hundreds of years, and the fight to remain secret and protected.

I didn't expect much from this book so I wasn't disappointed. It wasn't a literary masterpiece but it was exactly what you expect from a book like this and it was entertaining.

I think the biggest thing with this book is that the sequence of events are not realistic. I know it's a shifter romance so maybe the thought process was that it's not supposed to be. However, I've definitely read shifter books that have a better sequence of events. It wasn't horribly bad, but it greatly affected the overall enjoyment factor. The characters were likable enough. Aside from the realistic aspect, the story was decent. Personally, there was nothing to write home about.
