Never show weakness. For two men, human Nick Parks and werewolf Lucas Devereau, it’s the creed they live by. Trouble is, just because something is hidden doesn’t mean it’s not there. With a little trust they may just discover in each other a mate who truly understands the heart and soul of an alpha.
In the final installment of this series, Nick and his brothers, Ethan and Dustin are on the verge of discovering a world few humans see. Secrets are about to be revealed and an unforeseen danger faced. The Parks brothers will need every ounce of family loyalty and love they possess to see them through the gathering storm.

As a kid, from the time I learned to read, I've treasured books. Fiction mostly, because I'm the type of person who likes to be taken on journeys of imagination. I guess it was only natural I'd try to orchestrate some of those journeys myself, and share them with others.
Writing can be fun, frustrating, and sometimes even frightening, but it sings a siren song that entices. And whether you end up in the arms of a gorgeous muse, or wreaked on the rocks of broken thought, when you feel the urge to write, you do it.
I do my writing in a turn-of-the-century house located in the midst of Indiana farm country. In addition to dogs, cats and lovebirds, my family keeps me company. When not writing, I read, am an enthusiastic grower of iris, and a fanatic fan of Japanese manga and anime.
The final instsallment of the Park brothers and their werewolves lovers/mate. Not the outcome I expected but what I can I say, it was bloody awesome. We finally get nick's story in this one and it was hilarious. See Nick is the older brother, you could call him the alpha-male of his family, and he is about to get the alpha-male of a very real wolf pack.
Nick has no intention of settling down, also gay he moves from one bed partner to another. His foundation is about to be shaken up, when he meets Lucas Devereau a friend of his brothers lovers. He likes what he sees, but there is just one problem he is a top and judging by the looks of Luc, he has to be a top. Thus begins the battle!
Lucas has finally met his mate, and he is everything he ever wanted and more. Someone who will understand what it means to be protector, and carry the resposibilties of everyone on your shoulders. The attraction between them is hot, all that is left is for Luc to spill the beans on being a wolf and set a plan in motion. See someone wants to challenge him for the right to be alpha of the pack. With Nick he might be able to keep his family safe.
What you get is a showdown of who will bottom, it was hilarious. To see these two strong personalities try to bring the other to submit was sexy fun, all the scenes had me laughing and then panting. The relationship progresses quickly but that is to be expected when it comes to mating.
The writing moves smoothly, and even though the stories are short, you never feel slighted. You will love this band of brothers, plus its sexy men doing it, what can possibly go wrong. I was expecting some sort of huge showdown at the end there but I did not get that. Still its a nice little series with hot sex, alpha-male personalities and fun dialogue. Steele does not disappoint.
Plus the parents did not die when they realized all three sons are gay. Hmmm who would of thought.......lol.
The third and final enstallment of the Hoosier Werewolf series features Nick Parks, the older of the Parks brothers, meeting his mate, Lucas Deveraux, the alpha male of the pack.
Nick and Lucas are very similar, both are leader of their pack, even if the pack of Nick is his family, his brothers Dustin and Ethan, instead Luc is a real werewolves pack's leader. But both wants someone as mate who can understand the weight to be a leader, and someone who can, during their private moments, be both supportive than comprehensive.
To be on top or to be a bottom is not only a question of sex, is also a question of trust: Nick and Luc must learn that.
A very enjoyable fast reading, a good conclusion to a light and funny series.
I guess three books might be too much. I found the story's pace and lack of strong angst of perils rather cute. But not when you read all three in short sequential order.
[spoilers ahead]Even the wolf fight between Compton and Lucas could not bring some thrill into the story. The only thing that actually piqued my interest was the secret plan Nick made to save Lucas. What I did enjoy was the banter and sexual competitiveness between the two 'alphas'. And again, found it a bit distracting that the notion of swapping places only came into play for the other two couples only after Lucas and Nick got involved.[/end spoiler]
So yeah, the story is good, funny and cute... as long as you read it with time in between, and you're looking for something easy to pass the time with.
When I read book #2, I had a feeling that book #3 will be about Nick and Lucas and it will be interesting. Why? Because Lucas is the alpha of the pack and Nick, while a human, also shows the alpha traits, being the big brother to Ethan and Dustin. They are so alike -- and I believe they are both used to being protective and in control. Total top traits. So reading how these two Alphas coming together is a joy -- especially since at first, neither one is willing to submit being a bottom when they are having sex. A lovely closure to a wonderful trilogy.
I hated the whole business with the alpha female. It is stupid and annoying. Why would he had made her babies if she wasn't her mate. The idea that it is a pack tradition is also stupid. And the story didn't really have much sense to it.

2.5 stars
My review is in spoiler tags because it hasn't been edited yet and I do most of my note taking on my phone which makes for some creative wording due to the spellchecker. This review probable has too much negative stuff as that's what I tend to think to write down. If I'm enjoying myself, I don't want to stop reading!
There could be actual spoilers, though, so you've been warned.
Nick and Lucas make for a good team. Of course the acceptance levels are off the charts – but in a way that’s both cute and sensible. The main couple in this one finds their solutions in a particularly powerful way. At the same time, this is certainly not over-told. The skips ahead flow nicely and we don’t need to witness everything (but we do get the important bits) and characters don’t share all their plans with each other or the reader. A single hint is enough. That’s pretty nice, even though it might make for a shorter story and a somewhat more shallow involvement on the reader’s side.
I particularly enjoyed the way the wolves work in this one. In the wake of books like this werewolves in romance got saddled with so many superpowers and romanticized insistences on things (people actually explaining in advance how infidelity is impossible and how destiny pairs people up – and basically making it a thing instead of letting the reader see that this is what happens), that to return to the roots like this felt refreshing. I like this version of the applied myth so much better. And it’s still all kinds of romantic and mushy in intent, anyway. It just does not endlessly go on about it.
Even so, I am feeling a bit off. Could be just my mood these days or maybe the fact that these books are fairly quick and focused on sex (albeit not in the same way more recent releases of the quick type tend to be). Eh, either way I certainly have no regrets about this re-read. It was about damned time.
I must say that i found this 3rd book the best of the serie and maybe if it wasnt so short i would have given more stars. Lucas and Nick are only Top,they never were bottom and that is a problem at start. They are attracted to each other and soon they ignore the question about roles, knowing that sex is not only about bottom or top, but there are other things they can do. I liked their bickering and how both of them have strong personalities and in the end decide to give their virginity to each other, showing their mate their trust and love. Lucas and Nick are not complete virgins, they have been with other men, and Lucas has been also with a woman(more maybe in high-school), the Alpha female of his pack, from her he has had 3 kids. They were never really a couple, they cared for each other, but werent mate and when Pam (the woman) found her mate, their relationship had stopped. Lucas had always known he liked men more, but at the same time, being the Alpha male of the pack had asked him to have heirs. Nick loves kids and had always wanted to have some, so when he finds out that Lucas is a father, he is just happy. I liked this couple and this book has a real plot, also if is too short to make me able to rate it more than i already did. Here we see how Lucas has to fight another wolf to keep his role as Alpha, and protect the ppl he loves.Luckily in the end all goes well and the book ends with the full family (Nick's brothers and their mates and the parents of all of them, Lucas' parents too and his sons) having fun.

Time for Alphas' love! Oh yeah, both Nick and Lucas are Alpha males and neither want to submit. Who'll gonna relented first?
It's nice to read the competition between Nick and Lucas into domineering each other. More conflict, yess, but noo, still the same rushed and no emotion solution. The Alpha fight left no trace in my heart, and Parks brothers acceptance also seems too easy... everything in this story is easy.
Even the Parks parents is easily accepting that all three of their sons are gays.
And Nick always thought his ideal life would be a family with kids he got from surrogate, and then voila! Lucas' happened to top him in that idea because Nick just woke up from his first time together with Lucas and there're the kids he's always dreamed of, and of course they'll be Lucas', heightening Nick's point on making Lucas' his permanent partner.
Too easy? Hell yeah. But the relationship still sweet.
But imagining Ethan and Dustin comparing notes about their partners behind their backs made me think of giggling girls comparing their boyfriends' penises. Just sayin'.
Very much liked the Nick x. Lucas pairing, and the difficulties that arise from the fact that both are most definitely Alpha in their own right. Lucas' unexpected family is a bonus and I LOVED how Dustin had a 'feeling' about how different Crewe, Chad, and Lucas are, and about the 'feeling' he has that Lucas and Nick just somehow 'fit' together.
The prime conflict was minor in the long-run but major to the characters which made it very important. I had no huge emotions about it, whether liking or disliking, but it was well-down regardless.
As usual the schmex was done well, and when it came time for the wolves to admit their nature to their men ... priceless. ^_^ ESPECIALLY the "kibbles" remark. hehehehe
Aah! The last book that wraps up our Hoosier Werewolf sereis. Werewolf Alpha Lucas meet human alpha Nick, the oldest of the Parks brothers. You get a better idea what kind of were world they are operating in. It was interesting to see how the relationship of two tops were going to work out. I do have to say that I must have a temper because there were a couple times that I would have walked out if I had been Nick. But Nick rolled with the punches much better than I would have. It's predictable but there are times that you just want something to relax with. It was great for a stormy Sunday afternoon.
This was a better overall. The story line while not unique held my attention more. I really liked the characters in this one. I would have liked more depth in the story. I also noticed some consistence errors. It’s confusing for the first book to say can’t have kids until you mate and then have alpha have kids before meeting mate. I think a sentence or two could have been added to explain it away but there wasn’t. The conclusion to this little collection was cute but predictable. I keep thinking I have read this before…I think when you can do that the story is a little too generic. I still think it is a nice read for a comfort read.
This entire story felt rushed to me. There was too much effort going to tying every aspect (of all 3 books of the series) in a big man luvin' bow. Also while the concept of 2 tops in a relationship was entertaining initially, I think overall it compromised the heat of the story overall. Try "Who Let The Wolf Out" by Steele instead.
If you read it first time I'm sure the rating would be higher but re-reading it makes you see how easy and undeveloped the whole plot is. In general whole picture the story is enjoyable and romantic, but feelings are missing in all three parts.
Nice ending for the series. I'm always a fan of two alphas getting together so I thought the sex was steamy. My favorite story In the series is still Book One.
