sorry, no.
but the people that froth over The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo will likely find something to appreciate here. this has all the same over-the-top violence and sexual abuse coupled with characters i can't seem to give a damn about with many branching storylines that eventually converge in a way that seems overplotted.
so, very reminiscent of that book, to which i gave three stars, but which the more i think about, the less i actually feel it deserves. violence doesn't bother me - i am one of the people who liked American Psycho. in fact, i borrowed this from work because the cover flap started thusly:
One. Two. Three. That’s all it takes to drive the nail into her head, to leave her hanging on the wall. She deserved to die. Now all he needs is absolution for his sins, and he knows just the people who can help.
and i was all "woohoo!!" because i am sick. and i thought that would be funny to read. but all of it is written very earnestly, without any sense of humor, so what's the point? it isn't entertaining. it isn't even boring in a way that makes you uncomfortable, like funny games. it is just an unthrilling thriller with a lot of violence and characters who seem to have difficulty adapting to their situation, and making all the wrong moves.
especially frauke - because seriously - how did you expect that was going to end any other way?? oops, girl.
these characters do the darndest things, and it is frustrating to read this book, as a human being. if this were a movie, you would all be shuussssshing me because i would be yelling "what are you doing that for?? are you daft?? why would you think that was a good idea??" over and over.
or maybe you wouldn't, because you would probably also hate the movie. and you would share your raisinets with me in solidarity.
this makes two two-star books in a row, and that makes me grumpy.

OMG!!!
Y pensar que por solo 1€ conseguí esta maravilla rebuscando hace un año en una tienda de segunda mano 😍.
Ha sido mi estreno con el autor y pedazo de sorpresa me he llevado, con razón recibió el Premio Friedrich Glauser 2010 a la mejor novela negra de Alemania, Suiza y Austria. Muy merecido. Porque la novela es muy absorbente, de las que te quedas hasta la madrugada leyendo porque no puedes ir a acostarte sin saber cómo van a salir nuestros protagonistas de ese monumental fregado 😂
Pero advierto desde ya que no es una novela apta para todos, toca temas muy delicados y los describe a la perfección. Sin escatimar en detalles pero tampoco siendo morboso. Todo en su justa medida pero aún así nos hace apartar la mirada y contener el aliento en más de una ocasión 😱
Ha sido la conjunta del mes con mi alma gemela lectoril y lo bien que lo hemos pasado destripándolo es poco 😂 Otra conjunta en la que hemos dado de pleno. Tanto es así que ya tenemos su segunda novela, que lleva por título Tú, esperando para otra conjunta 😍
Cuatro amigos con una idea de negocio la mar de brillante, hasta que todo se les tuerce al recibir un encargo bastante inesperado y desagradable.
Kris es periodista y acaba de ser despedido. Y lo acompañará en esta aventura Wolf, su hermano pequeño. Y dos amigas, Frauke y Tamara.
Me encantó Frauke, una mujer joven, fuerte y decidida. Su amiga Tamara, parecía más débil hasta que vemos que no lo es en absoluto. Toda una sorpresa tras otra.
El primer tercio de la novela se encarga de presentarnos a los personajes y aunque pueda parecer una parte lenta o tediosa, para mi no lo ha sido en absoluto. Es más, me he metido de lleno en la piel de ellos por esa forma tan peculiar y original de narración que me he encontrado. Me ha encantado cómo me ha echo partícipe de la lectura con esos capítulos encabezados con el nombre "Tú". Toda la estructura de la novela es muy novedosa y habrá a quienes les parezca confusa, en algunas partes lo es, hasta que te haces con su peculiar forma de narrar y ya no puedes parar. Haciendo uso de la primera persona, la tercera, y sobre todo la segunda persona, y es aquí donde te sientes como un protagonista más de la novela, una gozada 😍
La investigación policial es casi nula, son los protagonistas mismos los que se encargarán de saber quien se esconde detrás de tan misteriosa llamada.
Violenta, visceral, perturbadora. Con una estructura peculiar, al comienzo puede resultar algo confusa como ya he comentado pero ya sólo con la presentación de los personajes y como está narrado desde el punto de vista de cada personaje y los usos de la segunda persona además de continuos guiños al lector, haciéndote partícipe en todo momento de la historia, no puedes apartar la vista de las páginas. Y qué decir del prólogo, ufff el prólogo, he tenido que coger aire para poder seguir.
Duro. Muy duro.
Una novela sobre la redención, la culpa, la amistad y la fuerza de esos lazos, y de venganza, sobre todo venganza, muy recomendable a todo amante del género.
Una cosa me quedó muy clara, jamás montaría una empresa así, ¿pedir perdón en nombre de otros? Nunca 😅 Y mucho menos después de lo leído.
No presupongas nada, no des nada por hecho, aquí nada es lo que parece. Una trama totalmente imprevisible.
El debate moral que aquí se plantea está servido. ¿Se animan a adentrarse? ¿montarían una empresa así? 😅

Lectura conjunta con el grupo 221 b Baker street
¿Cuántas veces se ha explotado la idea de que alguien se encarga de dar las malas noticias por ti? En series o películas podemos encontrar al amigo que termina con novias ajenas, al empleado al que le endilgan avisar de los despidos o, tal cual, alguien que se ofrece a ser el mensajero de situaciones incomodas. En todos estos casos el mensaje es simple: al que le toca el encargo, le tocan las consecuencia; así que este libro, toma esa idea y la lleva a la máxima potencia.
”El pasado puede ser como una piedra de molino que le cuelgan a uno en el cuello en el momento menos oportuno”
Para Sorry, encontramos una agencia que se disculpa por ti, llega a acuerdos con aquellos a los que has dañado y ¡Pum! redención automática. Para suerte de nuestros protagonista, le gente es tiende a ser cobarde, por lo que su negocio es muy fructífero, no obstante, todo se va al carajo cuando un encargo los lleva a disculparse con una mujer que ha sido asesinada (con el plus de que deben limpiar la escena del crimen). Si bien antes de llegar a este punto habíamos tenido cierto acercamiento con los protagonistas, y fundadores de la agencia de disculpa, es a partir de aquí que realmente vemos su naturaleza… junto con la del asesino.
”El mal es la sombra del bien, pero nadie piensa que tal vez el bien es la sombra del mal”
Literalmente el autor nos lleva por el “nada es lo que parece”. Quienes parecían fuertes se quiebran, los inteligentes se equivocan, los débiles se endurecen, los despiadados se explican, los redentores caen. Y esto se logra primordialmente gracias al cambio de POV que nos da un panorama completo de los sucesos, pero que inicialmente es una tortura por lo confuso que se torna, las voces de cada personaje son difíciles de distinguir en un inicio pero hacia el final eso se resuelve y todo el tiempo vamos con lo que es el eje de la historia: ¿Porqué? Deseamos saber porque asesino, pero igualmente porque llamo a la agencia.
Si bien la trama completa es interesante lo que más me gusto fue lo concerniente a Butch, de hecho conocer esta parte por completo fue lo que me hizo querer devorar el libro, quería saber sí mi intuición se equivocaba en adivinar quien era el asesino (y si, lo adivine ) pero principalmente quería saber sus razones.
Para el final, en el momento en que ya tenemos claro todo lo que sucedió, mi cabeza sentía asco, dolor, alegría, lo cual me encanta, pero la historia no siguió conmigo, no me dejo pensando días en ella, no se marco en mi cabeza, básicamente quedo en la intrascendencia.
”Historia y raíces no son una disculpa para el presente. Sólo lo hacen más comprensible.”
El detalle con este libro es que los personajes no generan simpatía, no te dan igual pero tampoco deseas conocerlos, no deseas que resuelvan esto por ellos sino quieres que lo hagan para que tú sepas lo que está pasando. Los cuatro principales son todo el tiempo las marionetas que contribuyen a que las situaciones avancen pero, puedo decir si lugar a duda, esta no es su historia, ese lugar les fue arrebatado por Sundance y Butch.

Te mantiene en vilo. Muy original, sangriento y con un final inesperado. Me ha encantado.

En el primer cuarto del libro, la narración se centra fundamentalmente en presentarnos a los cuatro personajes principales -amigos casi desde la infancia- y cómo fueron concibiendo su agencia para pedir perdón en nombre de otros. Si bien esta caracterización es absolutamente necesaria, se me hizo extremadamente pesada, lenta y falta de interés. Además, se comienzan a insertar capítulos con otras voces narrativas, pero sin aclarar de quién o quiénes se trata, lo que hace que la lectura se vuelva algo confusa.
Sin embargo, a partir del momento en que esta agencia recibe el encargo de pedir perdón en nombre de un asesino, la lectura se vuelve absolutamente frenética. Realmente me gustó la forma en que el autor presenta la trama; las distintas voces narrativas que mencioné antes, así como diferentes tiempos en que se va desarrollando la historia, van tomando cuerpo y poco a poco se van develando las pistas que permiten ir armando el puzzle que nos presenta el autor.
Es imposible que el lector no se involucre -ya sea cuestionando o concordando- con las decisiones que toman los personajes, así como con las posiciones individuales que asume cada uno de estos cuatro amigos o con la del asesino. Realmente es una lectura que presenta situaciones extremas donde la brecha que divide el bien y el mal (o lo correcto de lo incorrecto) se vuelve muy fina, y cada uno tendrá que vivir con las consecuencias de sus actos .
Por último, me gustó mucho la caracterización de la sociedad berlinesa. Siempre me pareció descabellado una agencia para pedir perdón. Definitivamente en mi país no prosperar��a, quizá en Alemania si.

Don't get me wrong. This story is dark, and sinister, and horrific. But it certainly challenged my own vIews and values.
Initially, the narration is confusing. The chapters flip between the main characters of the book. The narration also flips from first person singular to third person singular and back again, and then into second person from time to time. It is a little creepy and disconcerting to be on the receiving end of "you", especially when the character in question is one of the darkest in the book!
Eventually, one gets used to the style, and it works really well. However, throughout the book, I was wondering who the he, she or you of each chapter was referring too. But that is part of the mystery and excitement of the story.
The tension builds throughout. There are some horrific, horrible scenes. You can't afford to be squeamish when you read Sorry, that's for sure!
Some of the sentence construction irritated me, and there were often commas when there should have been periods (or full stops).
I found it difficult to decide whether this book merits 3 or 4 stars, but plumped for four in the end.
I would recommend it to friends who like a good thriller, but only to those who are likely to persevere through the initially confusing chapters.

I found it difficult to decide whether this book merits 3 or 4 stars, but plumped for four in the end.
I would recommend it to friends who like a good thriller, but only to those who are likely to persevere through the initially confusing chapters.

First of all: I doubt Drvenkar is for everybody. His writing (narrative) style is probably something you either love or hate. I for once love it. Either way, what we can agree on: It's something very different.
So here are the things you might want to know about Sorry (don't say I didn't warn you). It has multiple narrators. And different point of views. There's all of it: First person POV, second person POV (Drvenkar does that brilliantly, his other most brilliant Thriller Du is written completely in 2nd POV, and it's too awesome for words) and, of course, third person. You can never be sure if all narrators are always reliable, not because they lead you on willingly - they just don't know any better. And you, the reader, know little to nothing. It takes a while until you even figure out who all of these narrators are. Some stay anonymous for quite a while. But don't worry: It will all add up at some point, and the moment of clarity will feel so very rewarding.
See what happened here? That is Drvenkar and what he does to me. Narration and plot are much alike: you just never know who's behind it, you never know what's coming next. Everything could happen - or maybe nothing at all?

As you might guess by now, guilt, responsibility and shame are central issues in this book. Morals and ethics are, in a way, too. The plot is fast. It's brutal. It made me sick in a way - humans can be so evil. I really had to put the book away for a few moments to catch my breath. And then, when I read on: another twist. And another turn. And another one. And I wonder: How did he... no wait... really? And I read on because I just can't stop.
And if you're now still not sure whether this is your thing or not - well, I won't tell you anymore, because you'll just have to try for yourself. All your troubles, your anger, your sorrow, your guilt, your disgust, hand it over to 'Sorry' they will take care of it, for a fee. Isn't it wonderful? You pay and all that disgusts you, pains you, angers you taken care of in a jiffy for a sum of money of course leaving your conscience squeaky clean.
The possibilities are immense for the newly opened Agency Sorry, money is rolling in. But nothing lasts forever as the four partners of 'Sorry' find out when on a call to an apartment they not only find a dead body but instructions on how to clean the scene of the crime, after that everything starts disintegrating terribly. The question is, when do you draw the line, when should the Agency have said, 'this is not for me' or ' I cannot do this'. The most important thing in life is to learn when to draw the line.
I am always horrified and terribly saddened by brutality and if it involves children I come undone.
A very futile question comes to mind, Why? Why? Why is this happening to children?

Y terminé de leer Sorry... Que viaje! Debo decir que este libro me ha resultado sorprendente porque no pasa nada que me espere. Cuando tenía alguna pista o idea de lo que estaba sucediendo,pues no, olvídalo...y así hasta casi la última página.
Toca temas fuertes y hay escenas perturbadoras por su contenido de todo tipo,pero bien escritas,vaya ,que lo pude leer e incorporarlo a la trama sin dejar de dormir 3 días después. Si tuviera algo que señalar es que a pesar de que reconozco que es un tremendo libro,no me enganché de esa manera que hace que se lea en 2 días. Tenía material para serlo,pero no sucedió.

Cuando al acabar de leer un libro, necesitas tiempo para digerir la historia es que sin duda alguna ha sido de las buenas, de las que calan y de las que se mantiene viva por más tiempo que pase.
Y sin duda esta lectura cumple esas características.
Esta lectura la escogí para la conjunta del mes con mi alma gemela y puedo decir que hemos dado de pleno.
Es la primera vez que leo a este autor y me he llevado una muy grata sorpresa. Es aboslutamente adictivo y tiene un manejo de la segunda persona más allá de lo magistral.
Toda la historia está narrada en este formato, te hace partícipe de lo que ocurre con cada uno de los personajes y en cada momento.
Se nos presenta a cuatro amigos: Tamara, Frauke, y los hermanos Wolf y Kris. Estos cuatro amigos montan una agencia para pedir perdón. Les va bien pero reciben un encargo un tanto peculiar y a partir de aquí ha sido una locura de lectura.
El principio es brutal, muy dessgradable, perturbador y macabro. Luego pasa a presentar a los personajes antes de meternos de lleno en la historia que ya de por sí es absolutamente impredecible, unido al formato de la narración la combinación de esta unión no puede ser más perfecta.
Nunca había leído algo así y me ha parecido de lo más acertado. Además va alternado el antes, el después, la visión de la misma situación por parte de cada uno de los personajes y aparte te inlcuye a ti. Sí, has leído bien te hace partícipe y es absolutamente maravilloso.
Vemos la decadencia, las miserias, secretos, temores y miedos de cada uno de nuestros amigos, porque al incluirte de este modo en la lectura ellos forman parte de ti.
Los quieres y los entiendes.
También aparece una historia paralela en la que quizás puedas intuir por donde va y cómo está relacionado con nuestros amigos pero te aserguro que es totalmente imprevisible.
Y la atmósfera es cargante, llena de moralidad (¿dudosa?, ¿justificada?) que hará que te plantees y replantees muchas cosas.

El libro me ha enganchado mucho y aunque al principio con tantas voces y tanto antes y después se me hizo un poco confuso, en seguida te haces a la historia y poco a poco según vas pasando las páginas vas atando cabos.
El trasfondo de la historia es muy duro y trata un tema muy desagradable por lo que para mí los verdaderos protagonistas han sido Butch y Sundance.
El libro es bastante fácil de seguir pero tal vez un poco previsible. Lo que he encontrado original es la forma de contarlo, te mantiene pegado a las hojas.

Kris felt he was treated unfairly by his employer and then later wrongfully dismissed from his job, but instead of seeking revenge he comes up with a plan to form an agency called ‘Sorry’ along with his friend Frauke, Tamara and brother Wolf. The agency is hired out, and is spokes person on behalf of companies who wish to apologise to their employees whom have felt wrongfully done by. They bought a house in an isolated county side and their venture was thriving. Until one day Wolf set out on his next assignment where he enters an apartment, supposedly to apologise to the person living there, but find a lady nailed to the wall, crucifixion style, with instructions from the killer on what to do next. What follow is a series mind games, child innocents lost, more murdered victims and friendships on the brink of destruction.
The opening scenes of the book gave me the shivers. Written in the first person narrative called ‘YOU’, the killer describes in graphic detail the crucifixion style killing, but at the same time talking directly to you, drawing you in closer to the scene while he conducted this gruesome act. A cold, very uncomfortable sensation went though my body at this moment but he (writer & killer) achieved what he wanted too and felt he was playing mind games with me as well.
As the story progresses it gets rather complex with the writer mixing his narratives; bringing in two additional first person narratives (which are anonymous but somehow connected to the story), shifting to ‘before’ and ‘after’ and then ‘YOU’ slowly revealing himself and what his connection is to the four friends through first and third narrative. Mind boggling? Yes but if I can follow it anyone else can, and if you persist the rewards are beneficial.
The plot was totally insane. The four friends are torn between by what is morally and legally the right thing to do, or follow the instructions indicated by the killer, that will take every ounce of mental and physical capability to go through with. I could feel that they were at breaking point when all four had different opinions on how to handle the situation. They would deceive one another, become violent and all the while looking over their shoulder as there is evidence that they are been watched. It is highly intense and played havoc on my nerves.
Not everything in this book is perfect. There were some over the top and slightly unbelievable situations but hey! It is fiction and the benefits out way the negatives. I personally got caught up in the dark and disturbing elements of this book and the extraordinary way he experimented with his writing. It was a terrifying story and not for the faint hearted (or weak stomach) but extremely well written.

qué decir... hay distintas opiniones respecto de este libro, buenas y malas. a mí me gustó, me pareció interesante la premisa de una agencia que se disculpa a nombre de otros. sin embargo, hubo momentos en los que el libro me generó confusión con algunos personajes que aparecían de pronto, escenas que no lograba entender y algunos momentos algo flojos dentro de la historia. Es un thriller que se centra en el poder del perdón y en lo que puede alguien hacer con eso (más psicológica la situación) pero no es un libro como para matarlo a elogios. regular llegando a bueno. tal vez le dé una releída en algún momento a esas partes, sobre todo en las escenas casi para llegar al final, pero en un momento ya con más calma.

It's a deceptively simple yet compelling idea...the sort of thing that sounds brilliant when you're drunk and hanging out with your friends. And that's exactly what happens at the outset of Sorry. Old friends Kris, Frauke, Wolf, and Tamara each seem lost on their own, but one night they have an idea. Just a spark, but it catches and within a few weeks they're running an agency that provides the service of apology - the need is guilt, and the product is forgiveness.
And for a while, it's great. The business is a success and the four friends are making plenty of money, more than they've ever had before. Until someone hires then to apologize for a murder - and to dispose of the body when they're done.
What follows unfolds quickly and intelligently. Drvenkar uses a constantly-shifting narrative perspective to weave a tale of violence and deep-seated trauma that is at times shocking, at times sad, and at all times keeps the pages turning. The multiple perspectives really work here, as the story jumps forward and back in time and from place to place, dropping hints along the way but keeping this reader guessing all the way to the end.
Sorry is more than a thriller too. The multiple characters, each with their own history and their reasons for what they do, present a rich tapestry of motivations and impulses. No black and white answers to be found here, nor even shades of grey, but many colors all coming together to make you question what is good end what is evil, and to wonder if maybe that changes in the right circumstances.
If you prefer simple, neatly-wrapped mysteries then 'Sorry' may not be for you. But for a story that presents the rich and messy complexities of life through believable characters and an original concept, it doesn't get much better than this.
Sorry is that rarest of mysteries, a puzzle where even if you think you know who the killer is, there's still so much more of the story to uncover that you can't help but keep going until all the pieces are in place. It's a story about how even good intentions, poorly thought through, can come at an unbearable price.

Four friends start an agency which is employed by companies and individuals to make the apologies they couldn't or wouldn't make themselves. All goes well until a killer wants to use their services.
When I got this through the post to review from Waterstones it looked like a book I'd really enjoy. I read a lot of crime fiction and thought I was used to bleak storylines, scenes of violence and murder. However, this novel goes beyond pretty much everything I've read before - I found it gloomy, brutish, distasteful and deeply unpleasant.
The idea of an apology agency is a clever one, but some of the details of the characters' pasts were far too unpleasant and brutal for me. There seems to have been a trend in the past few years for crime novels, and crime TV series, to have child abuse as a theme. In my view it's time for this to stop as it's been used too often and is too exploitative. Some of the scenes of abuse in this novel are very explicit and likely to be too much for many readers, myself included.
I also found the book deeply and unremittingly depressing as there doesn't seem to be a single ray of light in the darkness.
The structure of the novel is (deliberately)quite confusing in order to hide the identity of who is narrating at particular points. There are sections headed Before and After which move the reader through time - this also makes things complicated and tried my patience.
All in all, I'd have to say that this is one of the most unpleasant and gloomy books I've ever read.

El autor crea un thriller, agónico a veces, planteando además una cuestión muy interesante, moral e incluso religiosa, ya que de hecho se menciona a la Iglesia en varias ocasiones como si sola ella tuviera la potestad del perdón -una especie de repartidora de perdón al estilo de la antiguas indulgencias-, olvidando que solo Dios perdona y que para obtener el perdón la premisa es la asunción de la propia responsabilidad y el propósito de pagar y enmendar el daño. Dar la cara. Y ese es, creo, el punto de vista del autor, que defiende la decisión de sus personajes por la situación de desamparo y desesperanza creada por la crisis y absoluta irresponsabilidad y/o cinismo que alimenta nuestra sociedad -todo puede delegarse y comprarse-. De ahí el éxito de su empresa comercial.
En cuanto al relato en sí, y pese al interés del que hablo, debo decir que la presentación de los personajes se hace un poco lenta y el cambio de persona en la narración a mí me ha despistado un poco y lejos de ayudarme a comprender, me ha creado cierta incomodidad. Sin embargo, reconozco la ambición, y el mérito de asumirla, por parte del autor, ya que la trama no es sencilla y el tema es devastador.
En cuanto al relato en sí, y pese al interés del que hablo, debo decir que la presentación de los personajes se hace un poco lenta y el cambio de persona en la narración a mí me ha despistado un poco y lejos de ayudarme a comprender, me ha creado cierta incomodidad. Una forma narrativa algo distinta, que al principio parece un poco confusa e incómoda de leer, pero al final un libro que se arma como un puzzle hasta formar un todo. La historia, el estilo y la necesitad de poder encajar las distintas piezas hacen que uno se quede pegado en la lectura.

Confusa en general. Lo de que tú seas partícipe como un personaje más de la novela, lo siento, pero en mí no ha funcionado, no he empatizado nada ni con la trama ni los personajes.
Sobran paginas (400 y pico en total) volver y volver sobre lo mismo una y otra vez: la culpa y redención. Crímenes donde no hay labor policial y todo se centra en la vida de los personajes y lo que vive cada uno, pues venga vale.
Si queréis leer un buen thriller, con una trama muy bien perfilada y personajes con bagaje, leed la serie Verhoeven de Lemaitre.
Sobran paginas (400 y pico en total) volver y volver sobre lo mismo una y otra vez: la culpa y redención. Crímenes donde no hay labor policial y todo se centra en la vida de los personajes y lo que vive cada uno, pues venga vale.

Sorry está narrada alternando varias líneas temporales y diferentes voces, algo que me encanta y aunque en ocasiones pueda resultar algo confuso que en los diferentes capítulos se utilice la primera, segunda y tercera persona, una vez te acostumbras la historia es fácil de seguir.
Me ha gustado mucho que, aun sin llegar a saber todo de todo lo que sucede, el lector siempre sabe un poco más que los cuatro protagonistas principales gracias a todo lo que explican otros dos personajes y que permite ir atando cabos poco a poco y encajando todas las piezas del puzzle. Otro punto muy interesante es la forma que tiene el autor de hacer al lector partícipe de la historia dirigiéndose a él directamente aunque se podía haber aprovechado más y mejor este recurso.
Se trata de una novela muy recomendable y que esconde un tema muy crudo entre sus páginas.

Hay cosas que no puedo digerir y este libro toca una de esas cosas, pensé en abandonarlo pero luego decidí leerlo de una vez y terminar con esto pronto. No sé si hice lo correcto porque es uno de esos libros que preferiría no tener en mi memoria.
Al final creo que terminaré recordando este libro más por cómo me hizo sentir que por la historia en sí, lo que no deja de ser una pena porque creo que la historia era muy buena y cumple con lo que promete…quizás demasiado bien. Pero la incomodidad y que pasé leyéndolo empañará todos mis recuerdos y dentro de poco no tengo ninguna duda que odiaré este libro.
Al final creo que terminaré recordando este libro más por cómo me hizo sentir que por la historia en sí, lo que no deja de ser una pena porque creo que la historia era muy buena y cumple con lo que promete…quizás demasiado bien. Pero la incomodidad y que pasé leyéndolo empañará todos mis recuerdos y dentro de poco no tengo ninguna duda que odiaré este libro.

Es la primera vez que leo novela negra...y la última!!
Es demasiada la adrenalina, la emoción, el suspenso.
Cada pausa, me desgarraba.
Es como si estuvieras en el cine viendo una buen película y tuvieras que ir al baño cada veinte minutos.
De todas maneras, no creo tener que leer otra novela negra. ¿Para qué?

3.5 Estrellas, pero tirando mas a cuatro... temas fuertes y facil de leer...
“Pienso que la iglesia va a excomulgarnos. Repartimos la absolución y llevamos la luz a algunas almas oscuras.
-Y somos más caros.
-Cierto, somos más caros, pero tampoco nadie tiene que ponerse de rodillas a la hora de acostarse y darnos las gracias.”
Que fácil es pedir perdón ¿no? bueno, realmente depende de cada persona y lo que hayas hecho. entonces, cuando tienes un puesto de poder y corres a alguien por que hace mal su trabajo, aun cuando sabes que al perder su empleo no tendrá para alimentar a su familia, tal vez no sea tan fácil...
Los hermanos crecieron con la filosofía muy burguesa de que la vida no es amiga de nadie y que hay que estar satisfecho con lo que se tiene
Bajo esta primicia, "sorry" presenta a una agencia fundada por 4 amigos que piden "perdón" de manera profesional, en nombre de empresas o lugares a las personas, dándoles a su vez una compensación física o monetaria cuando se considere necesario. el problema es cuando a ellos los mandan a pedir perdón en nombre de un asesino... y todo se complica.
A los hombres no les gusta dejar marchar sus derrotas, las viven como si fueran una mala película que ven una y otra vez desde el principio, disfrutando la amargura de la perdida como si de algo delicioso se tratara
El libro trata temas fuertes, desde asesinatos a sangre fría, hasta pederastia, pasando por secuestro entre otras cosas, pero lo hace de una forma tan bien explicada que todo sirve para darle coherencia a la historia. de hecho sientes empatia con los personajes aun cuando llegues a la conclusión de que son medio pe$##%$%os... pero vamos son gajes del oficio
“Estar enamorada de alguien y amar a alguien son para ella dos estaciones de tren distintas.”
Lo malo que le veo es que los personajes cometen algunos errores muy comunes y toman sediciones que los hacen ser medio irreales (ya se, el asesino mato a alguien hace poco, iré a atacarlo yo solo sin decirle a nadie). lo bueno es que es muy fluida la historia y en contra de todo pronostico la mejor parte es la historia de los niños (cruda pero fácil de leer... es raro)
“En la oscuridad de tus pensamientos quisiera ser una luz.”
En cierta medida influyo en mi opinión de este libro el que no lea muchos libros del genero y por lo tanto tuvo algunos giros de historia que no me esperaba, aunque tuvo algunos que me parecieron medio obvios, por lo que no es para los que leen mucho este genero. se los recomiendo a los que no tengan miedo a los temas fuertes, pero que no estén tan metidos en el genero de misterio.
