Kresba ze začátku ušla, ale postupně se zlepšovala až na mírně nadprůměrnou. Některé postavy vypadaly po celou dobu dobře jako například Teito a takové ty více fešné postavy. :D Trošku mě zamrzelo, že všichni nebyli takový fešáci jako v anime. :D Řekla bych, že tím důvodem, proč nebyli všichni tak pěkňoučcí, byly jejich nosy, protože byly takové orlí, prostě moc rovné, líp to říci nedokážu. :D Ale ostatní věci či stvoření mimo lidí vypadaly opravdu pěkně.
Příběh byl nic moc, ale k tomu se vrátím později, protože konec mě úplně dostal. Ne, že by to vyvrcholení bylo nějaké přeborné, ale úplně mě to emočně vyvedlo z míry. Ještě asi dva dny po tom ve mně přetrvával pocit euforie, takhle v dobré náladě jsem se opravdu hodně dlouho neocitla. :D A to ta příčina tohoto pocitu byla opravdu hloupá. :D
Z nějakého neznámého důvodu mě totiž hrozně moc zasáhlo to, že všude najednou nastal mír. Hlavní hrdina nevykonal pomstu a místo toho svému nepříteli pomohl. Úplně mě dojalo to, že svět může být takové hezké místo bez násilí, vraždění a podobně. :D Jako what? Vážně jsem to nechápala. :D
Příběh měl hodně gay momentů, což mi bylo trochu nepříjemné. :D A taky dost matoucí, protože ani na konci jsem se nemohla rozhodnout, jak to se všemi, u kterých jsem měla velké pochybnosti, vypadá.
Žádnou z postav jsem si snad ani neoblíbila. Maximálně se mi líbil jejich vzhled, ale to neznamená, že budu mít ráda i jejich charakter. :D Hodně postav se mi zdálo moc přecitlivělých, dokonce i na konci celé série byla sekce, kde vyhrál v katagorii: Kdo nejvíc plakal? (nebo nějak tak :D), Teito, který se dobral na číslo kolem 20, což bych řekla, že je celkem dost. :D
Na druhou stranu se mi líbil backstory hlavního záporáka. Řekla bych, že o něm by se dalo říci, že jsem si oblíbila jeho i jeho slečnu. :D Ale dosti by mě zajímalo, kdo byl její otec. Byl to opravdu sám velký šéf? Řekla bych, že ano. Trochu mě mrzí, že jsme se nemohli o této pozici dozvědět o něco více.
Mimochodem uděluji velké plus za vymyšlení "Raggs no Chinkonka", protože tu písničku jsem si, když jsem ji slyšela poprvé, zamilovala. Pamatuji si, jak jsem si hned musela zapsat celý text na papír, abych si ho mohla číst a popřípadně naučit.(ten text byl samozřejmě v češtině, japonsky neumím, tehdá ani anglicky) :D Teď se mi ta písnička nelíbí tolik jako předtím, stále ji ale považuji za dobrou.
Děj mě popravdě moc nebavil a spousta věcí jsem nechápala. Možná to bude tím, že jsem nedávala pořádně pozor, ale to si nemyslím. Prostě tam bylo moc věcí nevysvětlených. Normálně by mi to ani nevadilo, ale když mě nudilo to, co se tam dělo, tak jsem těmto věcem dávala větší pozornost.
Obálky vypadají docela hezky, některé dokonce i velmi dobře. Zdá se mi, že na nich jsou vykresleny lépe obličeje, než v manze. To ale není tak neobvyklé.

We got quite a bit of lore explained and we learned more about Castor and Lazette.

Teito got the first cursed ticket.

So Verloren's scythe "devoured" Frau and cursed him. I'm very interested to know how this happened.

Then we get some backstory about Castor, his life in one of the houses of god, and how he met Lazette. Lazette imprisoned and then was saved by Castor, and the two fall in love. The most interesting thing to me that came out of this was learning that Castor was killed by his father (accident) and Lazette killed herself not long after. Castor then comes back as one of the Seven Ghosts and is able to revive (can't think of another term to use) Lazette. In learning this, we discover that all the Seven Ghosts are actually dead; they are forbidden from meeting anyone who knows they are dead. Also, at the end there . . . did Frau . . . like suck that guy into him?

We learn more about the different types of Zaiphon as Teito teaches Capella. Also, that the vehicle they've been riding this whole time is actually alive. I know that they hinted at that in the beginning, but it's weird seeing it actually eat.


Then we get to one of the darkest parts of this volume: the Queen of Raggs didn't want Teito to be named heir since he was an illegitimate child so she BRANDED him (the slave mark) and then someone helped her switch out his body so that they can say the maid killed him while in actuality this mystery person took him. I'm assuming this mystery person is Father Kreuz because they were together before Kreuz died and Teito was taken by the military, but I'm probably wrong because there's really not enough to go on. It could also have been the Barsburg Ambassador who was there the same day it happened. Teito's face after he was branded was heartbreaking.

I hope that at least 1 of the 3 Bishops from Teito's childhood are alive somehow. Karan, Agas, and Marc.

Beautiful and distinctive art and more history and intrigue into Teito's past. My only issue is the darkness of the battle and fight scenes, which can lead them to be confusing. I much prefer the storyline and scenes that show the relationships between the characters as Teito tries to puzzle out the mystery of his lost memories and his birthright.

I think my favorite scenes have to be the little jokes thrown in between Teito and Mikage, such as Mikage protecting Teito by biting attackers, or the two of them sampling foods and having similar reactions to hot and spicy items (if you missed it, go back and check it out; it's adorable!)

It seems that the bad always comes with the good. It had some good scenes and quotes, then immediately turned around and put all the elements I dislike into one chapter. Then turned around again and switched it to a more interesting element. It would be interesting the way they did that if it wasn’t so dang annoying.

Learning about Castors past was really interesting. His relationship with Razette is so cute, they`re a lovely couple :)
Some more information about the ghosts was given because of this, how Castor became one of them. Quite worthwhile.
The business with the cursed Tickets will probably solve more mysteries about the ghosts, and maybe it will trigger some more memories of Teito.
Verloren`s scythe and Frau are still confusing, you get some bits of information but no clear explanation. But, to be honest, I also didn`t expect one. It gives rise to more questions; what exactly is that Scythe? Why has it its own mind? Why does Frau have it? How does it affect him? ...
It`s still exciting to read it, hope this will go on like this.

Teito has made it to the Hausen House in district 6 in order to get the first cursed ticket to get to Seele. It also seems that Castor is the son of the Hausen House that "died 10 years ago." This house is also an assassin house and does not intend to give up the ticket to Teito.

I can feel the world building and questions being answered with each new chapter/volume that I read but there are also so many more questions that I keep asking wanting to know more which I really enjoy in a series because it not only keeps your interest but keeps you invested in what you are reading and keeps the characters more real in my mind.

07-Ghost is a very pretty read, with smooth lines and attractive character designs featuring long, flowing clothing, although the art tends to be dark, with heavy blacks. This is certainly not the volume to start with if you're new to the series! It carries on the themes of family, protection, revenge, and innocence, with several scenes of souls being sent on to the next world via a giant scythe. We get to see one of the "Ghosts" take on their god form, and learn more about what awaits our hero at the end of his journey, in Seele.
Also, there's a cute mermaid character who can shapeshift her face to look like other people. If you're into mermaids and the paranatural, maybe give it a look?

After watching the anime for this series I decided to read the manga. I'm really loving the story, it's got details that keep your interest and the world building is kept tight and cohesive. but always leaving you wanting more. The action scenes were easier to understand in an anime format but the manga keeps the action going at a great pace, moving the story along and showing all the important symbolism of the weapons. A really great story based fantasy.

i'm not sure if this story is confusing or if the problem is that it's been over a year since the last time i read it

but i think the idea is that teito wants these things called curse tickets for reasons?

idk i was a little lost when he didn't take the whole 'bring your bff back to life' deal, did that spirit figure just mean he could only do it once he had six curse tickets to cash in?

maybe things will make more sense after i read a few more volumes

This is getting more and more exciting every second I read it, for now I love each part although it's a little frustraiting that Teito's past is relised in little parts every time I know that's part of what makes this story so interesting. I hope it continues to be this good because if not it would be really dissapointing as it's been so good until now. I think I made it clear already but I'm gonna say it anyway, I love it.
