All I Want for Christmas by Nancy Warren

Darren Littlejohn may be only ten, but he knows what he wants—to meet his hero, NASCAR driver Jason Bane. Of course, that means his mom will be there, too. And she sure does seem anxious about seeing her childhood friend. Maybe there's more to those old high school stories than she's been willing to share….

Christmas Past by Debra Webb

After a tragic mountain-climbing accident changed his life forever, NASCAR driver Jason Fewell hasn't been himself, on or off the track. So he heads into the wilderness to face his worst fears—and miraculously finds the one woman who can make him whole again. If only she didn't have secrets of her own.

Secret Santa by Gina Wilkins

Shhh… Don't tell! Under Santa's beard it's famous NASCAR driver R. J. Sanger! All he wants this year is to spread holiday cheer, away from the crowds. Until he meets Mrs. Claus. She says she's an average single mom. But to R.J., she might be all he needs to make his Christmas—and his life—complete.

Just terrible! A collection of three short stories that all follow a single woman (2/3 times a single mom) as she gets swept off her feet into the arms of a NASCAR driver.

All of the NASCAR drivers are: white, strong, good-looking, respectful, resentful of their fame, extraordinarily kind to children, unwilling to move too fast in the relationship, ready to get married either before or after only one date, and a laundry list of other basic qualities.

The romance is dusty and dull. The men are all kind and attractive, but there is no passion. All of the women reject the men and then slowly start to fall for their wonderful hearts. BORING and also unrealistic. These 'famous' NASCAR drivers just want to settle down with a sweet country girl!

Yeah, right.

I can't believe these were written by women.

I tried. This is one of those books where the idea of it is more fun than the actual reading of it, kinda like Cowboys & Aliens or Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter or Pride and Prejudice and Zombies*. All really fun ideas and concepts, but none of them could live up to their hype.

*P&P&Z did have some great moments, at least. Also who the h*ck would have thought Matt Smith would make for such an excellent Mr. Collins?

I really enjoyed all three of these stories. I love the Nascar element, as always. Such a fun, holiday read.

This was a cute collection of short stories about three different women falling for a NASCAR driver.

All I Want For Christmas by Nancy Warren
Christmas Past by Debra Webb
Secret Santa by Gina Wilkins

They were all cute and light hearted. You already know what to expect with a Harleqin NASCAR themed romance. Overall, not a bad book. I think I enjoyed it more because of all the Christmas theme.

All I Want For Christmas by Nancy Warren
Emily Littlejohn is doing her best for her ten year old son, Darren. When he lets his hopes rise at winning a trip to spend time with his favorite NASCAR driver, Emily tries to keep him grounded on his chances of winning. Her son don’t know that same driver was his mom’s high school crush, although she didn’t believe he even knew she existed.

Jason Bane enjoyed driving and fans but deep down, he was still just a hometown boy. After they chose a winner for the contest he noticed a letter from his hometown in Minnesota, when the picture fell out of a young boy and his mom he knew that they needed to be part of the prize package as well.

Heartwarming story on believing in Christmas miracles, especially when Santa is involved.

Christmas Past by Debra Webb
Jason Fewell was able to do less and less in his life, fear gripped him. Three years ago there was an accident and the panic attacks have been getting worse. He still could get behind the wheel and drive his car, but how much longer before fear stopped that as well?

Molly Clark finally received her first assignment with the Colby Agency. Sadly it was nothing more than a babysitting job for a what would be a rich and spoiled celebrity, a NASCAR driver. Molly would help him get past his fears and do such a good job that her next assignment would be much better. She didn’t expect Jason to be such a nice guy, now what?

Debra has several series based on the Colby Agency, this is the only one in the NASCAR series, it looks like the others are part of Harlequin Intrigue.

Secret Santa by Gina Wilkins
R.J. Sanger, Rob to his friends, wants to follow his fathers footsteps and play Santa, not for publicity though. He never expected to have a beautiful Mrs. Claus and her adorable daughter as an elf.

Leann’s main focus in life was her daughter Kylie. She chose not to date so that Kylie wouldn’t get attached to some man just to have him walk out. She’s finding her rule is hard to hold onto the more she goes to charity events with Rob. He listens to both young and old, cares for her daughter and he’s incredibly handsome. Does she dare take a chance and break her dating rule?

This was such a heartwarming story. The author brings the characters to life and you can’t help but fall in love with them. All three stories were really good.

I'm not usually a fan of short stories but I actually enjoyed this book. That's not to say that I wouldn't have loved it if the stories were longer and had more character development, but, for a book of short stories, it wasn't half bad.
The best thing about it is that I found 3 new authors to read. And, if their short stories are any indication, fun books to enjoy.
My favorite story was Christmas past even though it was the most abrubt. What I liked most about it is that it's part of a series that sound like I would enjoy. It also reminded me that I still have to finish the Bullet Catchers series by Roxanne St. Claire.
Secret Santa was the definatly the most heart-warming story. It was also the one where you got to know the characters most and I enjoyed the sense of being connected to the characters and getting to know them a little bit. However, the very abrubt ending sort of ruined it for me. I was going on enjoying the fact that Rob and Leanne were finally gonna give the romance between them a shot and then I flip the page over and it's the epilogue. I literally sat there and tried to figure out if i had skipped a page. There really should've been a smoother ending.
Overall, not a bad book. I think I enjoyed it more because of all the christmasy things happening and I really started to get into the christmas spirit.
What I really don't understand is why I love to read holiday books after the holiday season, but that's a discussion for another time.

I really enjoyed this year's edition of Harlequin's NASCAR holiday anthololgy series. they were cute and light hearted. Warren, Webb, and Wilkins are three of my favourite authors in the NASCAR banner, and these stories live up to expectations.

I was particularly happy with Gina Wilkin's story "Secret Santa", and she really tugged on my heartstrings with this one.

I would recommend the Harlequin NASCAR line to any fan of contemporary romance, even if you aren't a race fan.

While I love the concept behind a romance book involving NASCAR drivers AND Christmas, I thought most of these stories were too contrived and it was hard for me to get behind the characters, who were seemed designed to appeal more to a conservative, practical housewife than to my type of woman. Also it would have been more fun if there were more steamy scenes.

Three adorable stories in one book. The first and third were better then the second with the third being the best. I just felt like the second story needed more then 100 pages. There was something lacking. But really, a cute holiday, quick read.

I normally don't like to read anthologies because the stories are too short. I decided to read this one to start off some of my holiday reading. All three stories had me hooked. The heroes and heroines were wonderful. I'm not even a NASCAR fan but I enjoyed these.

The first story was, o.k.? I guess? The second had a potentially harmful portrayal of anxiety and the third was too treacle-y for me.
