⭐⭐ A Quick Tour of Familiar Ground
Danger on Naboo retells the events of The Phantom Menace in a very fast and simplified way. The pacing is quick, and the story moves efficiently through familiar plot points without lingering on detail. Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Jar Jar Binks carry the narrative, and the book succeeds in presenting the basic outline of Naboo under threat.
As a reading experience, this is fine but limited. There is little new material, and the treatment of events is purely surface-level. The Gungans appear only briefly, and nothing is expanded or explored in depth. This works as an accessible introduction for young readers who want a short version of the film’s story. For readers already familiar with The Phantom Menace, it functions only as a quick refresher rather than a meaningful addition.

All of the books in this series up to this point were original stories. None of them were amazing, but at least they were different.
This book is a nearly word for word retelling of the first part of the movie. No idea why this exists except as yet another cash grab.

This is barely a book and a definite waste of time. There’s nothing wrong with the writing, this just adds nothing to the Star Wars universe. It’s a short book that cuts down an already very short story.

This story is basically the beginning portion of The Phantom Menace. Some may love that. I did not. It made the adventure appear even more linear to me.
No character development. Nothing new.

A segmented portion of Phantom Menace somewhat dumbed down for the younger readers even though it really wasn't necessary. A SW cash grab none the less.
