Coming into this late (mainly reading some MG Horror for my own writing purposes) means I missed a bit. The characters were good but the story was so-so.

This series just keeps getting better and better. The little vampire introduced in this one is sooo cute!! I love the way Luke's Mam and Dad want to stay in Scream Street and finally start socialising with the other residents. What you find out about his Mam was quite a surprise and Sir Otto was simply too villainous and awful for words as usual. Cleo is still my favourite character and it was really funny how they had to disguise her while trying to escape the Normals.
I am definitely looking forward to the next one and I recommend them to everybody!

This is by far the best book out of this series. There are alot of plot twists which makes it all the more exciting and in this book alot of things are explained. By now Luke has found all the relics and is livin happily with his parents in scream Street until they realise they have left the mahic door way open to the human world. They don't know how to close it and Sir otto Sneer makes the "freaks" an attraction in return for some money. There is also a new bat in town who was promised to be taken to his grandfather. I really like the ending in this book and, even though i say this everytime, it has an amazing story line. 100% recommend.

This book was full of adventure and surprises! The little vampire was so cute. Loved the revelation at the last few pages. Who would have thought? haha
The main problem still remains, however. Let's see how they will resolve that.

I was disappointed with the opening of the portal. Was kind of like. Oh it was all for nothing but there were some memorable moments. Honestly the whole twist with Luke's mom was shocking and well done I like that but it was the only memorable moment unfortunately.

I will always enjoy a book where the humans are the villains. And, even though Sir Otto, the main antagonist is a human, here lies the main issue with tourism, messing with the natural order of the surrounding they are visiting. There is a shock set up in this book that isn’t quite a complete plot twist, but with how adorable the resolution is, it’s able to be overlooked. Not to mention, as the first half of the series is over and that plot arch has finished, this is an interesting continuation of the series and gives many more adventures for Luke, Resus and Cleo.

In volume #7 of the Scream Street series, Luke, a young werewolf, and his friends Resus Negative, a budding vampire, and mummy Cleo Farr, must contend with the problems the opened doorway from Scream Street to the normal world have caused. “Normals” are beginning to arrive in the parallel world. Then to make matters worse, tourist groups of "normals" start coming to Scream Street to ogle the mutants and monsters that live there. Sir Otto, one of the original residents of Scream Street, is even charging money for tours. Luke and his friends devise a plan to keep the "normals" away: they will act "normal" themselves to show there is nothing unusual about Scream Street and its inhabitants. Things don’t go quite as planned, mayhem ensues and one of the "normals" learns he has relatives on Scream Street. The friends then suggest a search for all the Founding Fathers to return their relics to them so that the doorway can be closed once and for all. This hints at another volume to follow. Humor, coupled with mild suspense, makes this an appealing read for those youngsters that ask for scary stories. The black and white illustrations and margin drawings of spiders, bats and scratch marks add to the macabre tone of the text. The “Meet the Residents” and map of Scream Street pages, along with “Previously on Scream Street…” at the beginning of the book will get neophytes up to speed with the series so far. It’s a good choice for any school library and a good alternative to “Goosebumps.”

In the past six books, Luke, Rhesus and Cleo was collecting all the six relics that would make a passage to the normal world and return Luke's parents. But since they decided to stay, the passage is still open and now Sir Otto Sneer is making money on Scream Street as a turist attraction.
The only way Luke and his friends can stop the normals from invading Scream Street, is by returning the six relics to their owner, the founders of Scream Street.

I thought Tommy Donbavand was finished with this series, but i guess i was wrong. The plot is a little thin, because it's like reading the same previous six books backwards. But my sister, which is eleven years old, loves the series, so i guess i'm just to old to find it interessting.

I love the fast paced story telling. Sir Otto is up to his old tricks making life miserable for the residents of Scream Street. His greed was helped along when normals started to wander through the magic door, which didn't close after Luke's Mom and Dad decided they wanted to stay. Now what? Would returning the relics solve the problem? Can't wait to read the next story.

This book is good for kids and funny! I like Doug and as Doug says "tiny vampire":) these books make a good series to continue and are awesome if you like mythical creatures and mystery!
