Hit & Run
After witnessing a horrific crime, Seth is placed in a safe house until he can testify before a Grand Jury. When the safe house is compromised and the two police officers protecting him are killed, Seth is forced to go on the run. In desperate need of help, Seth turns to Dixon, the adopted son of the man who was shot. Together they try to keep Seth alive long enough to testify, which is not easy when there are two hit men who seem to have an uncanny knack of finding them. The attraction between Seth and Dixon sizzles, but they agree that they should put their feelings on hold until the timing is better. Avoiding their new feelings for each other is just as tough as keeping Seth safe. Before he and Dixon can be sure of a future together, Seth must fight for his life in a final showdown.

Great voice by the author, I love her work. I enjoyed Seth but had a harder time connecting to Dixon and we get a HFN which makes sense because of the length but not my favourite kind of read.

I'm on a Cassidy Ryan kick right now and am working my way through her catalogue. I have not read a book of hers I have not loved yet! I loved this book and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is very short, 42 pages, and I don't usually give short stories 5 stars.
I can highly recommend this short story to all M/M romance lovers. It is suspenseful, romantic, filled with sexual tension and lusty angst and was an excellent read. Cassidy Ryan is a new favorite.

Lovely book!
The main characters were adorable and the suspense was very good - really interesting twist in the end. Short, enjoyable read!

The strength of this story for me was Seth. He really was an appealing character. He’s working at his job as a bartender when hot guy Dixon seems to come on to him. Seth doesn’t play with customers but there is something here, so when Dixon asks to meet him in the alley he agrees. Then nearly dies of embarrassment when it seems Dixon only wanted to ask him about a missing man, not have a little mutual fun. However after a long night, he falls asleep in the break room, only to wake later to see his boss kill the man Dixon was searching for. When his boss sees him, he makes a run for it, only to find out the man survived and he’s compelled to go and find out if he’s okay. There he sees Dixon and agrees to tell the cops his story. (He had called 911 anonymously.)
He ends up in a safe house, and when the cops protecting him are killed he runs, only this time he turns to Dixon rather than the cops for help and they end up on the run as well when the damn killers seem to keep finding them. Of course underlying all this excitement is the simmering attraction between the two men.
What I enjoyed was the building relationship between Dixon and Seth. Both have baggage from awful childhoods, but both have put it mostly in the past and moved on. They banter back and forth, tease each other, call each other names, and generally have a good time together, when someone’s not trying to blow them away. I thought it was hilarious when Dixon is teasing Seth about looking like a rent boy and he embarrasses him in the diner by pretending he’s negotiating with Dixon, and gains the sympathy of the waitress, and free bacon.
The mystery itself and how the criminals keep finding him was not all that clever or unique, but I was enjoying the relationship between the two so much that I didn’t mind that the mystery was more a reason to bring Seth and Dixon together. There was a nice mix of adventure and being on the run, with lighter banter and budding friendship, with some wicked attraction with hot sex. I quite enjoyed the short time I spent reading this one.

I like few of Cassidy Ryan's stories that I have read -- so I decide to give this one a try as well. Wow, I LOVE it. It's always good to read a kind of action-ish story. Here, Seth and Dixon sort of running from a dangerous men, after Seth becomes a witness of an attempt murder done by his boss. Since they are on the run together, to keep Seth alive for the testimoney in front of the Grand Jury, there is a close intimate surrounding -- because it's just the two of them for period of time. I enjoy they way the two guys connect. They just sizzle together. I love it that they don't immediately jump into sex and how they get into it is tender but necessary. For a short story (only 41 pages in .pdf), I think it's a complete satisfactory.

A nice quick, suspenseful read. It was a bit predicable with the employee walking in on the employer doing something illegal and then running for his life . I was in the mood for something unpredictable but nonetheless, I quite enjoyed it. Recommended if you are looking for a speedy read.

What a wonderful read it was like watching an action pack movie. This one had all action thriller not so much and romance in-between it was fun fast pace story loved it.
Seth works as an bartender he comes across Dixon which he mistakes his intention you find out why.
Seth see a crime which leads him on the run so they only choose he had to get help from Dixon. Boy this was really good loved every moment.

I was pleasantly surprised by the level of heat and intensity that developed between the characters in such a short story. I think it's proof that you CAN have a well developed complete story with well rounded characters and got sex scenes!

I really enjoyed the plot twists with this one, and how and what both Seth and Dixon do in the circumstances after Seth witnesses the murder of his own boss in the bar he bartended.

The main couple in this short story was cool. The plot was interesting from the start till the end. I liked it! Recommended!

Loved this, but I wish it were longer. Loved Seth and Dixon together, and more could have been made of the plot :)
