Sidney Coffey, Seattle ‘s “News at Nine” girl, uncovers the scoop of a lifetime and her ticket into “serious journalism”. The only problem is — without proof, no one’s going to believe the victims of recent gang killings are in fact “undead” and vampires!
With her gut telling her there’s an even bigger story lurking beneath the surface, she decides to beard a reclusive vampire master in his den for an interview. But meeting the master only complicates things. For a woman with a voracious sexual appetite, the tall, dark and gloomy vamp proves an irresistible challenge.
When a reporter trespasses on his estate, Navarro is at first amused, then annoyed that the little baggage is close to putting together the pieces of a dangerous plot involving an old enemy and a group of murdered geneticists. To keep her safe, Navarro issues an invitation he won’t let her refuse.

This is book five in a series that I can't get enough of. A bit of warning - the main story line concludes but you will be left wanting, especially if you read the teaser chapter for the next book which was included with my ARC (advanced review copy) of Knight Edition.
Once again, Delilah Devlin writes a compelling, and sexy as all get out, story. This story is about Navarro, The Master vampire who has been spoken about in the other stories. I won't give anything away since you need to read this one for yourself. I'll just say that Navarro hasn't had sex in decades, that's right, decades, and he's met his match in a nosey reporter named Sidney.
This story has sex, suspense, sex, action and more sex. What more could you ask for?
Sidney wants to right the big story. Her friend sometime lover Moses tries to keep her out. Then her suggestions to speak to Navarro who is the master vampire of the area. She tries sneaking in and gets caught. Navarro wants nothing to do with her. Some where along the way she intrigues him. Will they try for a relationship? Will another vampire try to separate them? Come on in and find out.
If I ever have a paranormal lover *see dreamy face*, I would want someone like Navarro. He is simply breathtaking. Quiet, controlled, mysterious, dark, dangerous...everything a paranormal hero embodies. And let' not forget his heart...undead that he is!

I don't really know why I especially loved this book. I just do! It's really sweet--in a sensual, hot way.
Main characters: Navarro. Sidney Coffey Heat level (1-5): 5 Sidney is caught trespassing on Navarro's property trying to get a story. Navarro is intrigued by her. He keeps her on his property when her search for a story about vampires leads her into his own investigation into the murder of three geneticists and vampire Zachary Powell who is trying to create stronger vampires. I like how Navarro, who has avoided any relationship for centuries, is drawn to and falls in love with Sidney.
Paranormal window dressing on vampire porn...when you're in the mood for something with bite, this one delivers. It's a fun read, and Navarro and Sydney are a great pair. Leave your sweater at the gate.
This book is just what I needed. Sidney is funny and stubborn. Navarro is the perfect match for her and they both fight their attraction to each other to the bitter end. I loved this book and I hope others like it just as much! :)
