Thanks to Booksprout for a copy of this book.
The plot wasn't unique, but I honestly wasn't expecting it to be. The characters were just developed enough to feel realistic; they had worries and problems, and they tried to overcome them to the best of their abilities.
My main problem with the characterisation was that Tyler's reaction to Summer holding his phone felt grossly overexaggerated. No spoilers, but it just felt strange to me. He tried to explain it away later, but the positive feelings I had for him since the beginning of the book just fizzled away. I understand he had a tumultuous past, but that one scene made me emotionally back away from the whole thing.
Maybe the author tried to use that to add drama to the situation, or maybe it was just to make the slow-paced plot progress; whatever the reason, I didn't find it angsty - it just felt like it was tossed in there for no reason other to make the book a bit longer.

This was a good read. Summer and Tyler meet on a night out. He ends up being her new boss. They try not to let it interfere with work. However, things are complicated because of rumors. Thankfully in the end everything works out and they get their happy ending.

This is a sexy and steamy office romance between Tyler and Summer. They have a hot one night stand which turns into a smokin hot romance with al the feels. The author moves the story fluidly with her perfectly painted scenes and delivers an enjoyable story.

Well I’m split on my review, the main characters are great there have really great chemistry but how can we have a big misunderstanding with them I just don’t get it and how come the sister doesn’t believe her brother that is way none believable and for the issue not to be resolved. I was hoping for a better ending but it just didn’t happen. Id hope you will enjoy it better then me 3 1/2 ⭐️

This book took me on a ride from start to finish and I couldn't be happier that it did!
This book starts off with a bang (literally) when Summer and Tyler meet in the line for taxis outside of the bars one night. Summer refuses to give her name and doesn't quite hear Tyler's correctly, so when she sneaks out of his house after a very, very steamy hookup session, she figures that despite the fact at how hot it was and how every nerve ending in her body would like a repeat, she can accept just a one night stand. What she didn't expect was Tyler to show up a month later as her new boss. Both Tyler and Summer try to just keep things professional, but quickly find that their attraction to each other is too powerful and eventually give in to attempt dating.
I seriously believed that this was going to be one of those run of the mill, boss employee stories where they start dating, people start to find out, there may be some drama but everything works out in the end. To be honest that would not have disappointed me, but this was certainly not like that at all. Yes, people find out but the drama that comes from their relationship has nothing to do with work. Lies have been told that influence opinions and create madness that drive this story forward. I loved that as the reader you never really could figure out what the secrecy on Tyler's part was and that you really got to see Summer struggle with attempting to accept some truth's she has heard about Tyler's past in the context of the present actions. It was also really nice that when all of the secrets are finally out in the open, they are not at all what I was expecting. The plot twist was nicely hidden that I was truly surprised when Tyler spilled all.
This is one quick and witty read that will keep you on your toes from start to finish .

Steamy work-place romance with interesting start and predictable but good ending
Player CEO to enamored lover, 35yo Tyler Clark may have to accept that 29yo Summer is the woman he’s been waiting for all his life. After finding Chloe his wife, now Ex, with another man in their bed, Tyler has had a very hard time trusting women until he meets Summer outside a dance club waiting for a taxi. Within two months of their one-night-stand Tyler is introduced as one of the new owners of Summer’s Architecture firm. Now what?! There were multiple directions the author could go with this plot.
Their meet-cute was good, (who is Len?), love the cover, best scene ever at Summer’s parents home when Tyler hears something he likes a lot, steamy scenes in abundance, yet with all that, I had a hard time staying focused. The author did a very good job of having multiple conflict options open for the plot. There was a bit of a twist at the end that really was surprising. I just wish Chloe had gotten her come-uppance. From the time I first picked this book up to read, all the way through to the riveting ending, I was completely hooked in this storyline.
While Summer and Tyler weren't looking for their soulmates and they met under certain circumstances, these two well crafted characters are just meant to be together. What happens when Summer finds out Tyler is her new boss? Or how about the unfathomable secret Tyler is keeping from her? Can these two fated characters get their happily ever after? Lucky for you that you can find out right here in this exquisite read.

2 months later and she meets her new boss. Tyler and his partner have bought the company she works for. She is asked to go meet the CEO and its Tyler.
They are both very horny for each other, lusting after each other every time they meet. Eventually they have sex in his office. They have sex a few more time but she starts to get distracted at work and misses a big meeting so she calls it off.
That lasts a month!!
Tyler is like the woman in this. His ex cheated on him and left him so he assumes Summer will too. He's very paranoid.
His ex told everyone that he cheated and they all believe her. Even his own sister which honestly pissed me off. So of course she tells Summer to be careful as he is a cheat so now Summer doesn't know what to think. Then she catches him in a lie where he says he is with a client but he isn't and then she sees him buying jewellery and giving it to a woman.
She confronts him and he tells her everything. All about his ex and who this woman is. Kind of came out of the blue and I didn't like it, but everything is fine after.
I didn't like that there was no birth control talk. Even during their one night stand. And when she has a pregnancy scare it still isn't discussed. They have a lot of sex too and because every chapter was sooooooo long there were 4 sex scenes in one chapter!
I also feel there should have been a chapter with Summer and his sister where she calls her out for been the worst sister ever for not believing her brother.

This was an office romance with a bit of a twist. I liked that she wasn't his assistant which is typical. There was fun, humor, mystery, romance and the HEAT! I really liked both main characters were good hardworking people that you want to root for. Poor Tyler got such a bad rap for something he didn't even do which made him that much more likeable. With Summer there was a point where I thought she was gonna go all drama queen and lose it in public and she kept her cool and handled it with grace and dignity and I absolutely loved that, nothing worse than people yelling and causing scenes in public! That scene where she was calling him by the wrong name hilarious, you'll see. Overall, a good read and I would recommend for anyone who likes office romances.

Tyler and Summer meet when they are both leaves clubs and are needing a cab. They end up back at his place and share an amazing night together. Summer leaves before he wakes up. The company Summer works at was just sold and nobody knows what the new owners plan. When she learns that their jobs are safe, she feels some relief however, when she meets who she will be working with on a big project. Tyler is stunned when he sees the woman, he hasn't forgotten standing in the conference room. Sparks reignited between them as they reconnect. Can they work together after being together before work? Will they get a second chance with each other?
This is a great story that when I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I'm taking a bit of a step back from the amount of boss/employee / CEO romance books I've been reading. I was reading this one and another one of a different author, and they literally just blended together into one big story. Like, it was hard to differentiate one from the other, and I realized it was time to take a break from this subgenre. Well, at least the number of books I've been reading from it. I'm still going to be continuing with Iona Rose's collection, but I'm pausing any other CEO book and author for now out of fairness for everyone. I'll explore some other subgenres because this is obviously getting stale for me, and it might just be I'm reading too many. Or I'm tired of it. Or maybe these authors need to switch it up? I don't know. Anyhow, this one was cute but extremely standard, a dime a dozen story. I loved the relationship drama at the end and how cute everything was tied up, but overall, it was a very standard read/standard plot/standard use of tropes.

Tyler and Summer, both fun-loving, independent people with past relationship traumas spend a steamy, commitment-free night together. A few months down the line Tyler buys an architectural firm where low and behold Summer works. Both are architects and need to work together. Their strong physical attraction to each other eventually wins and although neither is willing to admit their developing emotional bond, after a few months, they admit to their relationship. This is a very well-written novel with good use of language, vocabulary, and scene-appropriate dialogue. The storyline is dynamic and very steamy which eventually leads to a well-deserved, feel-good HEA. I have no hesitation in recommending this novel with likeable characters.

Summer is discombobulated when her perfect one-night stand turns into her surprise new boss, Tyler Clark, a couple of months later. Wait, Summer thought his name was 'Len.' After consulting with her best friend she learns she can separate 'professional' Summer at work from 'passionate' Summer at Tyler's mansion. However, nothing protects her from rumors that Tyler is a player who cheated on his ex-wife and is now lying to her! Maybe her doctor parents are right in advising her not to be distracted from her profession as an architect by a man whose own sister believes he is a cheater. A good read full of hot scenes and heart-rending disappointments solved by forgivable truth-sharing and happy endings.

Flirting with the CEO is sexy, sassy, has great banter between the characters and gives us a bit of angst to round it all off. Summer and Tyler meet after hours outside a club. They share a cab and then so much more. Summer is a woman that isn't looking for a relationship and wants to make her job her number one priority. Tyler is a businessman that has just landed a great deal, has a lot of ex-wife baggage and cannot deny the immediate attraction he feels for this beautiful, funny mysterious woman. One night and she is gone but you know how fickle fate is, they will certainly meet again! Get ready because Summer's company was just bought, and her new CEO is her one-night stand! A fun fast sizzling read from Iona!

It is so sad that EVERYONE believed Chloe over him, even his own family. Anyway, Summer and Tyler (where in the world did she get Len?!) have serious chemistry and can’t fight it for long. Even though they work to keep their relationship quiet, I like how they progress. Tyler being shady, lying, and keeping secrets creates bad drama. Very bad, made worse by the lies about him. A few funny moments.

What a great story of a one night stand between Summer and Tyler. A few months later, a surprising turn for them both when Tyler and his business partner take over the company Summer works for.
You get some of the usual workplace sexual tension, but Summer is really quite focused on her career and won't let a fling get in her way, I loved this!! Summer didn't act like a loved up airhead from the minute go, and honestly, it was a refreshing change.
There are twists and turns in this book, one of which kept me guessing till the very end. The sign of a great story.
Another great read from Iona Rose throughly enjoyed.

This is a brilliant read that you won't be able to put down.
The chemistry between Tyler and Summer is instant and off the charts but it can only be a one night stand.
When it turns out that Tyler is the new CEO where Summer works things change between them. They can't get enough of each other.
I loved how they were together but when she starts to hear rumours about him can she ignore them.
A must read with a brilliant ending.

Yes, this trope has been done before, but Iona does so well! Tyler and Summer have one hot together, one they never forgot. They get in instant reminder of that when months later Tyler enters the new architectural firm he just purchased and there is Summer! Their chemistry is still explosive, but they decide to keep things professional, until they can't. Their banter is fabulous and you can't help but get drawn into the drama, intrigue and oh boy the passion! The story outside of their relationship is good and kept you wanting more. Well done! I received this ARC from Bad Boy Updates.

I enjoyed reading this book. The plot was good. The storyline flowed smoothly throughout for the most part. There was a few little choppy moments. I loved the characters. Tyler and Summer were great together. Their chemistry was hot! I was glad to finally be reading a steamy book! I loved watching their characters grow. I really admired Summer for the way she handled herself at the climax of the story. I can’t wait to read what Ms. Rose has for us next!

Summer meets Tyler but walks away thinking she will never see him again. Two months later her new boss just happens to be Tyler. Both are career focused and not looking for a relationship but as they work together one thing leads to the next. There is a lot of miscommunicaiton that makes them work for their HEA. This was an interseting story with minimal angst. I loved the epilogue where we got to see a little bit into the future. This was a good lazy afternoon read.

Summer was out dancing and drinking and went to get a taxi home. The man behind asked if they could share a taxi. She ended up going home with Tyler the next day left earlier never expecting to see him again. Then Summer finds out the company she works for has been taken over by Tyler and his partner Jack. They work together on a project and have success with it. I’m not going to spoil this only to say I enjoyed reading it. I received an ARC for an honest review which I have given

Summer is sharing a taxi with a hot stranger, and they end up having spicy night together, and she never dreamt that they would cross paths again, as he is the new CEO, Tyler. Summer is focused on her career, while Tyler has trust issues thanks to his cheating ex-wife. This is a well written story which has humor, witty banter, misunderstandings, a tad angst, passion, twists, and is an entertaining and steamy page turner.

Let Summer and Tyler set your Kindle on fire. Talk about chemistry that's explosive. A chance meeting in a cab led to a hot one night stand and much more. What happens when he turns out to be her CEO? The characters are well developed and perfect for each other. The story is well written and a great read that's hard to put down. A twist or two and an engaging story line. I read an advance copy via Bad Boy Updates and voluntarily chose to review it.

This is a great read. Summer and Tyler meet in the cab line. One minute they are waiting for a cab, the next they are in bed. The connection is good. Fast forward. Summer's company gets taken over, enter one of the two new owner - Tyler.
Their chemistry is there but are the ready to risk it?
They are great together. There's drama, but not much. Summer's parents will irritate you. And I was surprised that his sister would believe his ex over him.

I enjoyed this book. I found the storyline fun and I enjoyed the tension, witty banter and sparks that were flying. I thought Summer and Tyler were great together and the chemistry between them was undeniable. It is a very cute romance that hits you with plenty of emotions and feels. This is my unbiased, unsolicited review.

This was a great book with a lot of steam, chemistry, drama, love and a wonderful HEA. I really enjoyed Summer and Tyler with their great connection and chemistry. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to more from Iona Rose.

Summer doesn’t do relationships as it will interfere with her career, that’s what her parents have told her for years.
Tyler has trouble trusting females after his ex cheated on him.
