HIS DARKEST TEMPTATION

Vampire CSI Olena has been assigned to lead investigations on the most recent high-profile bank robbery at the Bank of Nouveau-Monde, the city's most prestigious and oldest establishment.

Interpol agent Cale Braxton doesn't care for the Otherworlders, but there's something about the lead crime scene investigator that gets under his skin. This book started with a bang, literally, bomb blows up safety deposit area in a bank. Beginning a mystery that leads to murder. In this different world shifters, vampires, witches and other paranormals are out in the world. Olena is a vampire for the Otherworld police and Cale is a human working for Interpol. Very good book fast paced. Loved it.

It was a good book about Cale and Olena who are investigating together, and in the beginning totally opposed to working with each other. Having said that they also have an attraction to each other. The story weaves through their attraction along with the case at hand. It is a good quick read.

This book was much the same as the previous two I've read, which is why it doesn't get.more starts. It wasn't a bad sort and it was a nice change for the girl to have to save the guy for once but the formula was too much the same for my liking.
It's spoiling my like for this series. If a wolf's heart (which I have in my book room to read) follows much the same pattern, I may have to give up on this series.
Perhaps I'm noticing because I've read them relatively close together, but it irks me when authors sort of... create a plan and seem to use it for every story they write, simply changing the character names and tweaking the story :/

Hmm - some interesting twists on the whole supernatural world. I enjoyed the strong female vampire vs the human male, not a view we get very often.

Okay - I just realized this is part of "The Valorian Chronicles" and I have no idea why it is. It has nothing to do with the lab in Texas. I don't remember there being any mention of that lab. The only thing this story has in common with those is the crime investigation part.

Why not just start a new series instead of playing off an existing one you aren't even going to mention?
