The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration's War on America

Rate this book
Popular conservative blogger Pamela Geller and New York Times bestselling author Robert Spencer sound a wake-up call for Americans to stop the Obama administration from limiting our hard-won freedoms, silencing our democratic voices, and irreparably harming America for generations to come.

America is being tested in a way that she has never been tested before. Since taking the oath of office in January 2009, President Barack Obama has cheered our enemies and demoralized our allies. He is hard at work "remaking" America by destroying the free-market system and nationalizing major segments of our economy, demonizing dissent and restricting freedom of speech, turning against our longtime friends, and above all, subjecting us to the determinations of foreign authorities.

In this timely and urgent battle cry, Pamela Geller, founder of the widely popular website www.AtlasShrugs.com, and New York Times bestselling author Robert Spencer team up to expose the Obama administration’s destructive agenda—largely ignored by the mainstream media—and rally Americans to protect the sovereignty of a country that is under siege by the highest levels of its own government. As Americans see their paychecks shrinking every day, Obama ignores our forefathers’ founding individual rights. Instead, he seeks to level the playing field—to transform both the global and national landscape in favor of our enemies—even if it means cutting America off at the knees. He envisions himself as more than just a president of the United States, but as a shaper of the new world order, an internationalist energetically laying the groundwork for global the president of the world.

A vital guide to helping conservatives prepare for the tough battles ahead, The Post-American Presidency critically examines the Obama administration’s ominous and revealing moves against our basic freedoms, particularly as he seizes control of the three engines of the American health care, energy, and education. The Shining City on a Hill has gone dark. But America is not dead. The time is NOW to stand up and fight.

Currently reading this, and it is a MUST, MUST, MUST read for every American - even for everyone in the world, as everyone is influenced by America. See who influenced Obama growing up - who he surrounded himself with - who he is appointing now. He very definitely is the first post-American president.

Not kindle unlimited, had to have been freebie day or from one of my review sites but couldn't hunt it down to make sure just which. I spent more time trying to figure out that fact than the book did on any of its 'facts'.

Would like to say, right off, did not vote for Obama, either time, though this far after don't particularly remember why, but pretty sure it was because whoever else was running against him that I thought would be a better candidate for the job. But I actually researched all his positions and votes, etcetera, using facts, verified facts, not hearsay nor any such drivel. So this review is from someone who never even liked or voted for Obama.

The book states, falsely, that Obama tried to limit 'hard won freedoms' and 'silencing our democratic voices' which I find rather 'funny' coming from a self professed conservative blogger, even more so in the wake of a Trump presidency. Obama was accused by many conservatives of trying to take away 'gun rights' along with others, but oddly enough in 8 years he never passed nor attempted to pass any laws to do so, nor any other limiting factors, beyond making sure ALL people were protected from hate speech and actions. If one was to take parts of the blurb and use it to mean 'he' for Trump instead of Obama this book would have actually been true, with the ''cheered our enemies and demoralized our allies. He is hard at work "remaking" America by destroying the free-market system and nationalizing major segments of our economy, demonizing dissent and restricting freedom of speech, turning against our longtime friends, and above all, subjecting us to the determinations of foreign authorities." Falsely claiming that Obama's action or inactions was 'largely ignored by mainstream media' is totally laughably absurd. Since he not only made no attempt at a 3rd term, and was obvioulsy not trying to be 'president of the world', once again this book is full of unsubstantiated and totally made up accusations, with no proof of any sort to back it up {and no, callers in to Rush Limbaugh's show do NOT count}.

She is or was the president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative co-founded with Robert Spencer. The American Freedom Defense Initiative has been designated an anti-Muslim hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The British government barred Geller's entry into the UK in 2013 saying her presence would "not be conducive to the public good. This book is worse than useless, as it omits, changes, hides, attemps to twist what really happened and the facts surrounding those events, and what actually happened in the 8 years Obama was president. It's called 'alternative facts', so go talk to Kelley Ann Conway instead of trying to claim that what happened in 8 years didn't happen or vice versa what he did do never happened. History and records speak for themselves. I've seen fairy tales that were more believable. If it was Trump, you'd more than likely be sued for libel, defamation, and slander but Obama more than likely doesn't care, because the TRUTH is out there, in real print with real facts.

Geller is widely known as the founder/author of the AtlasShrugs.com blog site, and much of the material has shown up on her blog at various points. This book is a devastating critique of Obama, his early influences and education, his hypocritical and disingenuous statements towards Israel, while pandering to all things/people Muslim, his drive to reduce America from the "shining city on a hill" (Reagan's words) to just another fumbling unexceptional nation which has made a lot of mistakes and which has much for which it needs to apologize. If you weren't irate enough already to join a Tea Party by the direction this country has taken in the last two years, you will be by the end of this book.

A must- read, this book is very eye opening. There are chapters outlining Barrack Obama’s background and indoctrination and his anti-Semitic, anti-Christian, pro-Muslim biases. Includes an analysis of his attempt at forming a socialist America and stifling free speech, as well as his connection to voter fraud (Acorn). All are well referenced so you can follow through with your own research on the subject.

Pamela Geller explores the principles and policies by which Barack Obama governs our country and what it means to America in the years to come. She points out his blatant pandering to Muslim heads of state and Muslim ideology...even to the point of negotiating with Muslim terrorist organizations. This is, by the way, happening as I write. A news article in today's headlines reveals the initiation of "talks" with Afghanistan's Taliban leaders. From "Cozying up to Hamas" to "Campaign money from Gaza," Geller reveals the close ties that Obama seems to have with the Muslim community. Regardless of how you may feel about Muslim people in general, the stated goal of Islam is to conquer the world - including the "evil" United States - with Islam and Sharia law, the rule of Allah.

Pamela Geller's book is alarming!

President Obama during his first year has trampled our American value and the Constitution with the internationalist and socialist agenda he is pursuing. How did this happen? Ms. Geller book details meticulously Obama's associations and mindset with excellent citations.

America "A sucker is born every minute or aborted":

I think we are watching an amazing country be destroyed and this book chronicles the beginning of the end. I hope we can "Change" the path of destruction we are on.

A depressingly long list of president Obama's failures, deceptions, lies, and the core politics of divisive liberal orthodoxy. His charismatic attempts to finesse the media and succeeding, says it all: leading to post American leadership in the world. Stop and think of where the world would be without America as the country the world looks to, depends upon, and is very often the only nation that reaches out to help.

I like all of the co-authors... but to be honest the book just wasn't what I expected. Maybe it's that I've already heard it... Maybe it's that it seemed like they were talking down to the audience (which I recognize is usually necessary for Joe Public but not for me)... I'm not sure but 2.5 stars was what I would have preferred to give it.

Interesting read. Simply put - it is an indictment of our current president, how he got there, the campaign, the people behind him and where he is driving this country. If you disagree with the president and want a book that will let you say "I told yo so", this is a book for you.

Other countries hate America because we are a great nation. Our president should not trade new friendship for our nation's distinction. I think American Exceptionalism is a necessary trait in every citizen and public servant, especially the president.

The author presents a detailed account of President Obama's relationship with those countries/individuals/groups who care little about our national interest. My one problem with the book is the jabs taken at the president at the expense of research, as in quoting a Rush Limbaugh caller.

Not objective. Informative, but over-dramatic instead of objective and factual. Nothing new here, but sobering.

This is the best factual assessment of Obama yet written. It must be viewed as a cll to action by all thinking Americans.

A STRONG CRITIQUE OF THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION ON ISRAEL AND ISLAM

Author Pamela Geller said in the Foreword to this 2010 book, "This book carries forward an ongoing and increasingly widespread critique of Barack Obama as our first post-American president." (Pg. xii) She adds, "This book lays out in painstaking detail the political view of the people he has selected to help him govern this nation and the domestic and foreign policies he promotes. It is all a result of how he was brought up, of what shaped his mind and heart. It is all a result of what drives him." (Pg. xiv) Geller is apparently an advocate of Ayn Rand, and often cites her (pg. 33-34, 174, 178, 235, 289, 329).

She asks, "Is reporting on Islamic jihad, gender apartheid, clitorectomies, beheadings, child marriage, polygamy, absence of women's rights, honor killings, Islamic expansionism, and Islamic supremacism also to be considered defamation of Islam?" (Pg. 8)

She cites several persons (such as Zbigniew Brzezinski) as an "anti-Israel voice associated with Obama... There was no comparable group of defenders of Israel around Obama." (Pg. 93) She observes, "while calling on (Israeli Prime Minister) Netanyahu to rise to the occasion [i.e., move toward a two-state solution], Obama issued no similar call to Palestinian Arab leaders. Yet ... Hamas... had repeated that it would never recognize Israel's right to exist." (Pg. 112)

She is critical of the "George Soros-funded Report," 'Changing Course: A New Direction for U.S. Relations with the Muslim World' and the Brookings Institution's 'Doha Compact': "(Obama) didn't seem concerned with the Muslim Brotherhood ties of both initiatives, or with how their dictates weakened the United States. He didn't even seem concerned about the fact that the more he accommodated the Islamic world, the angrier and more demanding Islamic states seemed to become. No wonder jihad activity spiked within the United States itself." (Pg. 200)

She suggests, "The reason there was no major Islamic jihad attack in America after 9/11 was because of President George W. Bush, his team, and his policies. Now Obama is dismantling those very same policies, emasculating the CIA, trying to close Gitmo, and creating walls between agencies---restoring many of the same terrible policies of Bill Clinton that made 9/11 possible." (Pg. 219)

This book will appeal to critics of the administration's foreign policy, and also to those who like co-author Robert Spencer's books against Islam.
