When three burglars break in recent divorcee Meg Altman and her ten year old daughter, Sarah, are forced to seek refuge in the high tech bunker Panic Room in their brownstone. But the intruders are after something inside the Panic Room, and aren't leaving until they get it. Made into a major motion picture film.
Plot-wise, this book stays on track of the movie. If you are someone interested in character development and back stories, I would recommend reading this over seeing the movie as it gives a different light on each character.
Newly separated mother and daughter move into huge, luxurious townhouse with built in panic room. Along comes a group of men who want access to what is inside the panic room and mother will do whatever it takes to protect her child and will transform from meek to powerful.
Super generic. Very to the point and fast paced. Could easily be read in a full day- if it was better. I’d rather just watch the movie. I feel as though it was written while watching the movie anyways.
So close to a 5 star read for me. Easy, quick, fast paced. I love how the author waits until later in the book to add in personal stuff about some of the characters as it really balances the book out!
It’s follows the movie beat by beat which I loved. I’m a fan of the movie, so I really enjoyed reading this. It kept me on the edge of my seat even though I already knew the story.
